The 8 Best Bars In The French Quarter 2024

"In the very center of the French Quarter is Pat O’Brien’s, a bar famous for three things: inventing the hurricane, late-night dueling pianos, and a flaming fountain. While it gets packed at night, it’s an ideal spot to grab a few afternoon drinks, and theorize about why someone thought, “You know what that fountain needs? Flames.” Even when you’re trying to keep things low-key, Pat O’Brien’s is a classic, and somewhere you should still check out for a drink or two." - carlo mantuano, garrett snyder, zella palmer

Google
Food is great. Husband got the mufaleta and I had the roast beef poboy daily special. Love sitting in the side courtyard for lunch and then coming back in the evening for drinks by the fountain in the main courtyard.

9 of us were IN town for the Superbowl and everywhere was packed. We were able to get in here in about 30mins. We got a table by the bar, the places was popping! Lots of people in and out. Our server - Quinn was amazing. Even though he had probably about 4 tables, we did not wait a long time for food and /or drinks. Hurricanes were good. Food was good. Gator bites were the best. The staff held it down for sure!

Jonathon Reckles

Google
Stopped by to try their famous hurricane. I’m sure the drink was made perfect, but for me it was a bit sweet. Service was just fine. Atmosphere was great right on bourbon street.

Google
This was a late post from last weekend. I was invited to celebrate the graduation of many students who are soon to be lawyers from LSU & Tulane. So a friend ordered, “the Hurricane cocktail.” The largest one we all have ever seen.

Google
I had my first Hurricane during the Mardi Gras in 1962I returned for another 63 years later and the only real change seemed to be the absence of the massive crowd. My wife, son, and I ordered delicious Creole and Cajun specialties, including fried alligator bites. Derrick, our server, was flamboyant and professional as he helped us and the tables around us.

Google
This place is a Must, when in New Orleans!! Best Po' Boy I've ever had!! The drinks are spectacular, and Quinn is a phenomenal waiter!!

Google
I didn’t get any food, but my drink was good. The ambience of the courtyard is so calming and romantic. I didn’t like the stairs leading up and down for the women’s restroom because they are steep, but the restroom was clean. I would recommend this place to others.

Google
Tucked away place with a piano bat, tavern and outdoor courtyard. Take note of the crossed muskets overhead in the archway and the ladies room upstairs complete with fireplace! Food was plentiful and tasty and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Go!

Yelp
Best place for hurricanes! Dueling piano area is a great time. The patio is a great calm atmosphere. A legendary spot

Yelp
Pat O'Briens or Pat O's as it is often called, was on my walk back after one of the warm up Mardi Gras parades in the French quarter. I was moderately hungry and desired an atmosphere that was different, after over 3 hours on a balcony. Pat O's had a well appointed courtyard, lovely decor and artifacts, a soothing ambiance, music that was appropriate.....and that is where I ended up. Once again, I was only interested in small portions, but if possible, to order an item that killed several birds with one stone. The menu had exactly one of those options. Pat O's Trio (a sampler of New Orleans classics of Gumbo, Jambalaya and Red Beans). The three choices arrived nice and hot (it was a chilly evening), with all of them cooked optimally to fire up flavor, taste and satisfaction. Service was caring and excellent. A lovely end, to another memorable night in NOLA.

Yelp
Did you even go to New Orleans if you didn't have a hurricane? If you're looking for a joint with indoor/outdoor seating options and a strong drink, duck into the courtyard restaurant for a hurricane. The drink are great and you can enjoy them without all the wild times usually found at a Bourbon Street location...you know, unless that's your jam.

Yelp
My group and I went to Pat O'Briens since every restaurant was packed, and we wanted to rest and sit down while eating. The whole place was packed, but we were seated quickly since most people went to the bar instead of dining in. The restaurant also had a very lively and fun atmosphere. Our server, Derrick, was welcoming and friendly. Even though he was busy, he still made time to accommodate and chat with us. I ordered a shrimp po'boy and a Virgin Piña Colada. The po'boy was delicious. I loved that the shrimp were fresh, and they were not stingy about putting in a lot of shrimp. I also enjoyed the mocktail; it tasted like a real pina colada, even with no alcohol. It still gave me a feeling that I was drinking a real cocktail. Overall, we enjoyed dining at Pat O'Brien's. It can get too loud, but the energy was great and fun.

Yelp
We came for the hurricanes in the courtyard. We were able to snag a table pretty fast and our waitress put our drinks in right away. The hurricane drink was definitely strong but good and the atmosphere is pretty fun. I recommend to make the stop here if you're on Bourbon St. We didn't order any food.

Yelp
We arrived in New Orleans and needed a quick bite while we waited for our hotel room to be ready. We found Pat O'Brien's on Yelp and made the walk over. My sense is this is maybe a bit of a tourist trap? The food was ho-hum, and the drinks were sickly sweet. I ordered their caesar salad. It was basic, but I'll say it was incredibly fresh. My dining companion asked our server what they thought was the best thing on the menu. They replied the chicken sandwich--so that's what he ordered. It turned out to be a very basic chicken sandwich with basic, unseasoned grilled chicken. So odd. We also ordered hurricanes and found them to be a bit overly sweet. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice (we sat out on the patio). Aside from that--a pretty ho-hum experience.

Yelp
I'm getting a little old to be spending my nights out on bourbon street these days but when I came to New Orleans to try various cocktails invented in the city, it would have been a pretty big omissions to skip over Pat O'Brians and try their Hurricane. Not my first choice when out for a drink but a refreshing, enjoyable one none the less. Honestly this place really surprised me. The outdoor courtyard space they have here is amazing and makes it a wonderful place to do some lazy day drinking. Their pub food is pretty good and offers a great selection of local dishes as well. I sort of expected this place to not be my vibe at all, but I have to admit that I think with its different spaces there is likely something that can appeal to everyone. If you are a tourist like me, I think you can do a lot worse than Pat O'Brien's. This is a case where the spot is pretty iconic for a reason I guess. There is a lot to like here.

Yelp
We had a nice lunch at Pat O'Brien's Courtyard. I had a combo of gumbo, red beans and rice, and jambalaya. The jambalaya was not that great, but the gumbo and red beans and rice were excellent. My wife wanted to order a grilled chicken sandwich but the waiter told us it would take 30 minutes. I'm glad he told us in advance instead of just letting her order it. We sat outside in the courtyard and it was very pleasant.
google avatar

Margarita L.

Yelp
Very nice place to stop for a Hurricane and a bite of food. The Hurricanes are basically alcoholic tropical punch served in a yard glass with a LOT of ice. Super sweet but fun. The jambalaya was good, but it was a stew served with a scoop of white rice in the middle, more a gumbo than a jambalaya. Still, it was tasty. The bread pudding was particularly awesome. The courtyard itself is reserved for people drinking rather than eating, and the patio where we were seated wasn't as atmospheric. Service was attentive and I'd definitely go back - and have more bread pudding.

Skylar K.

Yelp
Wonderful service and cool atmosphere. Only complaint is that my tomato soup was cold:/ But still delicious!

Yelp
5 stars for service from Albert! He has the best smile and attitude... singling and dancing with the pop songs on the speaker... we enjoyed our Hurricane and Rainbow cocktails... the boudin beignets were way too rich (with oil and honey and ham). Skip if you're drinking and have a sensitive stomach. Big love to Albert (give this man a raise) and thanks for the drinks!

Matt R.

Yelp
Had to walk from the one courtyard where we bought hurricanes to the front of another building. The "hostess" we had to reserve a table with was asleep. I asked if we could sit in the middle... since the courtyard was mostly empty. We were told that the other tables we for larger parties. Except the shitty service probably scared all the real customers away. Because no one actually sat us, we sat ourselves. The hostess was probably napping. Again. When we sat... we were engaged by multiple servers with conversation. And yet no one was our server. The only guy who didn't talk to us was a server I saw leaving the bathroom when I went to piss and coming back in when I was done. Clearly someone who couldn't take my order but could make time to rip his coke. I would have thought at Pat obriens that coke would help the lazy staff. However, they cannot stay away or greet/ take orders. They must not know how to even coke up their lazy stupid staff accordingly. Like most restaurants have one of two... cokes up staff or lazy staff. This place has both. Kudos the shittiest place on earth has the shittiest service. Shocking I paid a fuck ton for sugar and water.
google avatar

Khristina S.

Yelp
Dzo was the sweetest and most friendly server. He gave us recommendations from comeback sauce for fry dipping to the special of the day: blackened chicken sandwich. Their menu is simple but done very well. The best thing about sitting in the courtyard was enjoying the sunshine, a bit of breeze, food - without the smell of cigarette, vape, etc smoke - and music that everyone could enjoy - from the 80s, 90s, current hits and classics.

Yelp
Came in to New Orleans as a family of 9, worn out and tired from a long vacation just traveling through and wanted to share a little bit of NOLA with the family. Pat O's Courtyard was perfect. The wait staff was a ton of fun and waited on us with exceptional service! The food hit the spot too. Priced right for the area comparatively speaking!
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
The service was slow, kitchen messed up the order, per the server, jambalaya was cold, drinks were ok. Enjoyed the Orlando site was want to give a try. A busy place.

Judi R.

Yelp
My family & I enjoyed the food at Pat O'Brien's! We sat in the courtyard (which was spacious & a lot of people) & we ate Gumbo, catfish , shrimp & fries, dip & chips & a few other tasty orders. Drinks were Hurricanes, Margaritas & Fuzzy something (my sister's drink) lol! Croissant bread pudding was delish! The drink orders came out quickly & the food came out quickly & hot... shout out to our waiter Albert!
google avatar

Yelp
When in Rome... and when you visit New Orleans one of the only reasons to visit Bourbon St is to stop by Pat O'Brien's for a hurricane. Take note I wrote "a hurricane". These are pretty sweet tasting and that disguises the alcohol strength. My advice is to find a spot in the courtyard to enjoy your drink. Check out the drink menu (or Google) to learn how and why the hurricane drink was invented. No spoilers here! Pro tip: If you care for another hurricane head down the street to Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop. Lafitte's is reputed to be the oldest structure used as a bar in the United States and they offer a good hurricane as well.

Yelp
Went here first the after party for my Nephew's wedding. So much fun! We had the upstairs to ourselves with a bar and food. I was downing the French fries and meatball sliders. Great balcony overlooking the scene on Bourbon Street. We had a guy playing the piano and it was great. Great place to have an informal party. Loved the joint sooty no pics was a bit drunk. A good time for all.

Erie W.

Yelp
Terrible experience. Manager was not willing to make changes on side order due to shellfish allergies. Gator bites were over cooked, and over priced. Sink in men's bathroom was covered in blood and when we reported it to the host, she said it was not her problem. All that said, our waiter was great. We will not be back
google avatar

O O.

Yelp
We strolled from the French Quarter to Pat's near Bourbon Street. This place was pleasantly uncrowded, with ample outdoor seating and charming water fountains that made it a great spot for photos. We ordered a round of Hurricanes and enjoyed every sip although light on flavor and/or liquor in the relaxed atmosphere. It was a much more enjoyable experience compared to the main strip, which was far too noisy and crowded.
google avatar

Jeanette V.

Yelp
Tried the bar and courtyard. Review is for both locations. We had to try the famous Hurricane drink. Initially did not think too much of it, however after a few sips we did agree this drink was very good. Husband and I decided on trying out their alligator bites and local specials. All were tasty and reasonably priced.
google avatar

Cat Z.

Yelp
The best Hurricanes in New Orleans! Literally visit everyone In back in NoLa. One of the things I miss most. Plenty of outdoor seating and a great atmosphere.

Aram A.

Yelp
For second time we went to this place. Everyone should try this place. Service is great and you should try hurricane drink
google avatar

Meri L.

Yelp
Had to come here for the famous hurricane! The rumors are true. The drink is quite strong and will knock you on your booty. I don't remember at all what's in it, but this is the place that invented it. Was only here for drinks. Bartender was just okay. I wish she interacted a bit more with my boyfriend and I.
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
If you participate in alcoholic beverage drinking, you absolutely must stop by this place if you're visiting New Orleans. If you give any shits whatsoever about history, this is the place where the hurricane was invented, which I'm sure you know by now. The hurricane is MASSIVE and strong. It also tastes pretty good. Dangerous combo but my kind of dangerous. The outdoor courtyard is a really cool place to hang out. There is a fountain with literal fire on top. It's pretty legit. It's also a big area and allows for ample separation from other people which is high on my priority list these days. I went to the little merch station to purchase a t shirt and one of their hurricane glasses. The employee who came over to help me was so fucking funny, called me something including "baby", and was really the icing on top of the whole experience.
google avatar

Stacey A.

Yelp
This is the place to come if you're looking for the best Hurricane drink. You can enter the courtyard for the bar only or go through a separate entry for the restaurant where you can order food and drinks. There are a few options for food that are 'ok' but the draw here is definitely the drinks. The atmosphere is great. Outdoor seating. Water fountain. Great service.
google avatar

Meredith S.

Yelp
Can't remember our servers name sadly, but she was wonderful. The food was great too. If I'd be here longer, I'd be back at least once.

Yelp
Each time we have visited New Orleans it's been during St Patrick's day or between Mardi Gras and St Patrick's day. My family has always wanted to go to Pat O'Briens. I've always balked at the idea because it's been packed or surprisingly closed each time we checked it out. This last visit there was no getting around it. My wife and daughter insisted. It was a beautiful New Orleans day and we had a blast. A couple of Hurricanes later we were definitely ready for a great day. We got a seat in their beautiful courtyard immediately. Service at this very busy spot was amazing. Drinks were expensive but very good. Yes, there were lots of tourists, but this New Orleans landmark was fun, albeit a little cliche. Will definitely return on our next trip. Definitely on a weekday, because I bet it's jammed at night and on the weekends.
google avatar

Tiffany P.

Yelp
Service was perfect. Hurricane was perfect. Atmosphere was a nice break from Bourbon street. I was bummed to find they didn't serve food anymore though.

Kathryn S.

Yelp
We went to Pat O'Brien's to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Our waitress directed us to the courtyard to get a free Hurricane, her first drink. She remembered her first jambalaya at Pat O'Brien's and ordered it again. Their jambalaya does not disappoint. It was as she remembered it. As it was hot and humid, we were a little uncomfortable. However, they had fans. Food was so good, as it was a few years ago. Staff was very friendly. And since we had one child underage, it was an excellent place for him. He loves Southern cooking and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Gumbo was is his favorite. I want to thank the staff at Pat O'Briens for making my daughter's 21st birthday special and memorable.
google avatar

Barb P.

Yelp
I have had alligator bites many times, but these were THE most meaty AND tender. The dipping sauce was creamy smooth& tasty w/o being spicy hot. It was mid afternoon on a Thursday with no wait; but in spite of being busy, my waitress was efficient and food served fairy fast and HOT! I only had ice water, but their hurricanes looked refreshing!

Yelp
Pat O'Brien's Ratings: 3.9/5 Food: 3.5/5 - If you are visiting NOLA, you have to go to Pat O'Brien's to try their Hurricane drink, and we did, LOL. My siblings and I were excited to try this place out, and we got there right on time for a late dinner (menu is limited) and no reservations needed, just walk-in will do. See the descriptions below for the things we ordered. - Hurricane [GET]: Let me tell you, this drink was hella STRONG, but good so better get ready. Definitely an iconic and a staple drink there. It contains 4oz of their secret cocktail mix, 4oz of gold rum, and garnished with orange and cherry with crush ice. Interesting drink for sure. - Gumbo [GET]: Delicious gumbo, not too soupy or salty, and pairs perfectly with the rice that comes with it. Rice was moist and chewy, balanced well with the gumbo. I like the crackers on the side too, gave the dish a change in textures for sure. - Jambalaya [GET]: Good portion with a decent amount of chicken and sausages. Tasty and good, but nothing mind-blowing. The rice was well-seasoned with lots of spices. Just wished the sausage and chicken was a bit more salty and tender, tasted a bit bland and dry. Overall, it was decent, and a great dish to eat when you are tipsy. - O'Brien's Burger [SKIP]: Sister got a basic burger with a sesame bun topped with tomato, lettuce and onion, and it was huge. I was not a fan of the burger at all, because the burger was dry, flavorless, and tasted like a legit school lunch burger, so please avoid. The bun was not even toasted with butter. The only good thing was the fries; crispy and well-seasoned, tasty with the mayo dipping sauce. Ambiance: 4.25/5 - Located on Bourbon Street with lots of seating areas. I love the atmosphere with a fun and casual vibe. The night view was amazing. It is also a perfect spot to chill and have fun with friends and get lit. The patio was my favorite spot; definitely a day and night drinking area with a nice water fountain in the middle. Price: 4/5 - The famous Hurricane was $14. We ordered Gumbo, Jambalaya, and Burger for $12, $9, and $14, receptively. Portions were huge, and definitely worth it at that price, and we were all full and tipsy afterwards. The total after taxes and tips came up to be around $60. Service: 3.75/5 - The staffs were friendly, checked out vaccination cards and ID and sat us down. They are all down-to-Earth and welcoming. The food came out relatively fast, but expect a small menu and slower service, since they are understaffed due to COVID. BLUF: An absolute staple in New Orleans, and known for their Hurricane drink. Take it slow on the drink, because it will catch up on you really quickly. Food wise, I would recommend either the Jambalaya or the Gumbo, then go sit on the patio and enjoy the amazing Souther vibes.
google avatar

Lexi M.

Yelp
Known for their hurricanes, but their bartenders are pretty awesome! Every time we come here the bartenders are always amazing! The patio area is perfect for day drinking and being able to sit outside and rest your feet. An absolute staple in New Orleans.

Yelp
Pat O'Brien's means two things - party time and a Hurricane. The outdoor bar was packed with tourists, conventioneers, and fun loving customers everywhere, and quite a few of them were sipping a ruby red concoction from these hurricane lamp shaped glasses. The Hurricane is Pat O'Brien's signature drink, and its sneaky powerful because that mixture of rum and passion fruit packs quite a wallop. Pat O'Briens has a big courtyard bar that just serves drinks, and a restaurant where you can get food to go along with your drinks. Three of us went there for lunch after a long visit to the WW II museum. We started off with a shared appetizer of Catfish Strips ($9) for a big portion of fried fish served with tartar and cocktail sauces. I liked it- flaky moist fish, nice crunchy breading, bot overcooked or dry. And that cocktail sauce was pretty nice and zippy ! We ordered two Hurricanes ($9 each) and a Bloody Mary ($6.75), and I have to say the pricing and size of the drinks were pretty fair. My Bloody Mary was excellent, and the sips of the Hurricane I mooched were great. It's a sweet drink, and that big glass and the sneakiness of that rum might cause ya a problem if you aren't careful. We ordered Red Beans and Rice (a NO Monday tradition for $11), a Focaccia Muffaletta ($14), and a Ham and Cheese Melt from the Daily Specials ($12). Both the Muffaletta and sandwich came with fries. My Red Beans and Rice was great! Imagine a slow cooked mix of red beans, ham hocks, onions, peppers, and celery, served alongside a scoop of rice and a split grilled sausage link. Can you say Tres Bon ?? Our three lunch entrees, one appetizer, and three cocktails ran around $88, which I thought was pretty fair considering what we ordered, where we ordered it, and how good was what we ordered.

Yelp
Piano bar can't be beat! Other places have tried, but these performers are excellent. I've been 3 times but haven't tried the food, lol. I love popping in for a few drinks and a few songs. The audience selects the songs and it's a lot of fun when the whole bar gets into the act with an old favorite. Highly recommended!!!
google avatar

Dan N.

Yelp
Courtyard at Pat O's is very nice in the evening with the fountains and fires going. Food wasn't bad but as the hostess told us, we want you here to drink not not eat. Had to get 1 hurricane for my girlfriend. The down side is that they charge you automatically for the souvenir glass even if you don't want it. The good news is that our server said yltake the glass to the bartender and they will refund you $8 cash for the glass. Overall, it's a bit touristy but still a good place to stop off at if you are in the quarter.
google avatar

Linnea E.

Yelp
very fun! we just went to the courtyard for hurricanes. did not disappoint! great service, cute patio area, great drinks. highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Lot of good drinks but famous for the Hurricanes. Local beers and the regular too. Great courtyard if you like outside and fast service.

Yelp
Another mandatory stop in New Orleans, Pat O'Brien's. Creator of the Hurricane. The backstory of the fruity punch-rum (think Hawaiian Punch) drink's creation, had to do with unloading their excessive rum supply. It worked. Ha! This visit, I opted to visit by day in the courtyard. There are umbrellas in the courtyard by the fountain, which is necessary when the sun peaks out. Day time is a very different visit in comparison to night time. We had barely been seated for a couple minutes before we ordered a round of Hurricanes and they were immediately brought out. They also brought out some popcorn to snack on. It was a great spot by day to chit chat while sipping hurricanes. If you don't want the souvenir glass, take it to the bar for a $4 refund. Yes, they have you pay for it upfront. Those funny bartenders may try to play you, feigning ignorance to the glass return policy. But they will just be playing you. Ha! Fast and consistent service at this NOLA staple.

Chelsie T.

Yelp
This restaurant was not on the list of places to go to on our trip until I walked in to use the restroom (btw they were clean!!) we walked to the back where the courtyard was with the bar and it was beautiful. we did not eat there so i'm not able to say what their food was like but from the other reviews i'm sure it was tasty. Bar service was quick and friendly. Pat O'Brien's is now on my list for places to go to in NOLA.
google avatar

Adrienne M.

Yelp
Boy oh boy, do I love Pat O'Brien! After doing my TONS of research on NOLA this place was a must! Now we've planned for a year to get the huge hurricane drink. $200 but you receive $75 back if you don't break the glass. My friends and I paid $20 each! Before we tackled the drink we ordered some food. I ordered the shrimp creole with a side of fried catfish. Let me tell you, the fried catfish is amazing! It has to be the best catfish i've had. Our waitress was great as well we loved that she always called us "baby." If you order a drink and do not want the souvenir glass you can take it to the bar for a $4 refund. So you pay for the drink on your bill and then you walk up to the bar and they give you $4 cash. After filling our stomachs we ordered the huge hurricane drink which can only be done on the patio. The drink was intimidating at first but we conquered it in hour. I loved how big this place was as well. You have a bar area, an intimate music area, patio area, food area, etc. I highly recommend checking this place out and grabbing a hurricane for $9 :)
google avatar

Gracie C.

Yelp
This is my second visit to New Orleans and even though my friends tell my local friends tell me that getting a hurricane is the obvious way to tell a tourist from a local, I still get them. Well, technically, I am a tourist. ;) I am playing catch up on my reviews and wanted to make sure that I did not leave this one out. We actually visited during Mardi Gras 2020 (I told you I was playing catch up). We were there on Fat Tuesday and the French Quarter was INSANE with people. It was just so great! Such wonderful energy all over. This place included. I loved seeing everyone in costumes and everyone making friend with everyone, especially in the Pat O'Brien's Courtyard. We didn't rely on the servers much just because we knew they were so busy so we went to the outdoor bar for our drinks and to the stand for our food. It was the best way to go. I will always make it a point to stop here during Mardi Gras. If you are looking for a to do list, add this to it. Yes, you can get Hurricane's elsewhere, but THIS is the place! Warning: Take it slow on the Hurricanes. They are tasty and will catch up to you.

Yelp
As you come in to this almost private spot, you find that there's a party inside. It felt like I was at a party out of a movie. So lit up & people dancing with large fancy drinks. I did my homework & when I found this bar with a patio & fire lit water fountain, we had to come see. Took some pictures & sat for a few drinks. My wife had a bloody Mary that was spicy & I had to get the famous Hurricane. I'm not a fan of the Mary, but that one was good. The hurricane didnt live up to the hype in my mind, although in a large glass with fruit & an umbrella. I did feel like I was on vacation with how nice the place was decorated. The downside was all the cigarette smoke, sad to say thats what made us pound our drinks & continue to the next bar. When you come & dont want to keep your glasses, be sure to return your glasses to any bar for the $4 each souvenir charge.

Yelp
We went during Thanksgiving week and it was a blast. We started in the courtyard where we got our drinks, yes Hurricanes and beer. After about 30 minutes we moved to the adjacent courtyard where we sat down to eat. The bar courtyard offers some snacks and that is it. The servers were so much fun and the food was excellent. Pat O is more than just drinks; the food was really good. Pat O is an institution in Nola and a visit is a must. Enjoy.

Yelp
Laissez les bons temps rouler!!! Let the good times roll! I mean, c'mon...it's freakin' Pat O'Brien's!!! The ambiance is all French Quarter and good times. It gets packed but that's part of the experience and fun. We had Hurricanes and they gave us free popcorn too. I'm not a big fan of sweet drinks but I can get my Hurricane on, bon ami. I feel like Pat O'Brien's is a must for anyone visiting the French Quarter.

Yelp
Pretty bad experience. Came here Labor Day weekend and this was about the only place open on the French quarter. We waited 30+ minutes for a table. Service was slow, they seemed to not have enough staff. There was only 4 options for food: fried shrimp, hamburger, alligator or French fries. We've heard legends about the hurricane but I couldn't even drink more than a few sips. It didn't taste good. $60 plus tip for mediocre food, drinks and service. Would not return.

Yelp
The Original Hurricane! Cannot go wrong with their staple! Sipped on that baby fast due to it being so tasty BUT boy did it hit me after a few! Always gotta start the night right with a stop over here. Get you a hurricane.. you won't be sorry!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at in New Orleans. The food is cheaper compared to the fancier restaurants in the area, but it's still as good as the fancy restaurants. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is really nice. I got the jambalaya pasta and it was really good. It was like the best cream sauce pasta with Cajun seasonings. It also had tender pieces of chicken and sausage. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it more than most of the regular jamabalayas I've eaten. The red beans and rice was also pretty good. I usually don't like red beans and rice because I find it boring, but the beans here were super flavorful. I also really liked the sausage that came with it because it was very meaty and not too fatty. I got the hurricane cheesecake for dessert and I was also really good. It had a nice light fruity flavor and wasn't too sweet. It was very decadent and a great end to our meal. I really enjoyed this place and it's definitely one of my favorite places in New Orleans.

Yelp
Jambalaya is good but the pulled pork sandwich is not good at all. Honestly it's a coleslaw sandwich with barely any pork. Would not recommend the food here
