The 10 Best Restaurants In Wimbledon

"A bright and fun spot in Wimbledon Village, Patara is a go-to for a casual first date or when you need somewhere that’ll keep your whole family happy. But one of the main reasons we like it is the outdoor terrace. It’s a hidden garden where you can enjoy a top-tier Thai green curry that’ll have you dousing your tongue with water before going in for another bite. The casual indoor space is nice too, if the weather’s being British, especially if you’ve got a bowl of hearty lamb massaman in front of you. The Thai menu spans noodles and satay—and everything is pretty good." - rianne shlebak

"If it’s alfresco dining you’re after, Thai restaurant Patara has one of the biggest garden terraces and a pretty good cocktail menu to match."

Had a lovely lunch today with the family. Great choices from the all you can eat buffet, I couldn’t try it all because I was so full! The dishes that stood out for me were their salads, Papaya and vermicelli seafood salad both full of flavour and most importantly spice! For £29.99 per person it’s really good value for money and I look forward to returning again. Oh and the staff were amazing.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The buffet offers such a wide variety of dishes that I left absolutely full, yet still didn’t manage to try everything. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more next time. If you’re a Thai food lover, this spot is a must-visit. All the classic dishes are here, and they’re authentic and delicious! 给留子们推荐,这家真的好吃。

My absolute favourite dining spot in Wimbledon! A great selection of high quality foods and drinks! We love the decor of the restaurant (even the bathroom with a beautiful fragrant smell of lemongrass!) The staff are always super kind and friendly - special thanks to Carina, who always welcomes us with a big smile! Photos are of the Yellow Crab Curry and Bua-loy! 💖

Had a brilliant Easter Sunday lunch with family at Patara. They're currently offering an amazing weekend unlimited buffet—unlimited starters and desserts, a wide variety of choices, and a main dish included. One of the best offers and most delicious Thai food we've had so far. Will definitely be back!

Had a lovely first visit to Patara for a casual lunch. It’s a cozy Thai restaurant with a warm ambiance and very friendly, attentive service. We ordered the green curry with chicken, ox tongue panang, sea bass, water spinach, riceberry, and fried rice, plus a coconut-based dessert and a couple of Chang beers. The food was authentic and absolutely delicious—especially the ox tongue and green curry. Presentation was clean and appealing. That said, the spice level was milder than expected (especially for the green curry), and portion sizes were quite small given the price point. The sea bass in particular was tasty but very small for £23, which felt like a mark-up for the location more than the quality or portion. Still, everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The restaurant was spotless, and although we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor area due to the weather, it looked like a lovely space. Overall, I’d recommend Patara to anyone looking for quality Thai food in a nice setting—just be prepared for higher prices and modest portions.

It was a lovely restaurant. Well managed with polite and friendly staff. Drinks, starters and dessert were amazing. Not all mains was not as great as I hoped but was just OK. It's a great excuse to go back and try something different

Patara was a Thai restaurant we found in Wimbledon village. They had a vegetarian section, which was handy. Food was served quite quickly and we really liked the red curry served with jasmine rice. Crispy mushroom was not as good as we had expected, but the rest of the appetisers were good.
