First, let's comment on the parking lot. We got a parking ticket that was later validated by the restaurant. But most of the spots felt like compact spaces, and the lot was full during the weekend for lunch. They did not have a restroom inside, but had this shared restroom building with the other restaurants and businesses in the plaza, but it was badly maintained and smelled awful.
The restaurant was small, so we had to wait a little bit to get seated. Service was friendly, but some dishes were better than others.
Oxtail pho: the broth was very light, so some may feel like it's bland. The meat was soft though, 3/5.
Pate's Special Rice Plate: I liked that the egg rolls were nice and crispy. Meat and egg loaf was just okay. Not the best I've ever had, 3/5.
Vermicelli with egg rolls: I personally did not try this, but my mom really enjoyed it. She said the egg rolls were crunchy and the dish was good overall, 5/5.
I found prices a bit pricier than I'm used to for the portions, compared to So-cal. But I don't know if Vietnamese food is just pricier in Hawaii in general. Food overall was okay. Rating is probably closer to 3.5/5, but I rounded up because service was quick and efficient.
