NYC Grocery Delivery: International Staples Are Harder to Find During Coronavirus | Eater NY

"The largest Indian grocery chain in the United States with about 50 stores, Patel Brothers briefly closed for 10 days and only recently reopened; one location in East Windsor temporarily stopped curbside pickup after receiving more than 700 orders in a single day (it normally handles about 80), and the chain is struggling with staff shortages that limit its ability to hire and train during the crisis." - Charu Suri

Coming from Michigan and getting an opportunity to visit such a big store gave us a feeling of going to grocery stores in Dubai where we used to get a lot of Indian stuffs easily. This place offers everything an Indian family needs. They have fresh food items, fresh snacks, fresh vegetables, all type of snacks, rice, flour, frozen items, sweets and what not. The hall of the fame at this place is live chat counter and is a must try. Highly recommended to at least go and try live chat.

I visited this store during my visit to the USA in June 2024. Best place for buying fresh vegetables and fruits especially vegetables preferred by Indians, such as raw banana, lentils, banana leaf, banana flower, radish, knoolkhol, elephant foot. Pooja items are available. Dhal, rice, flours of all types are available. Attraction is hot samosas, chapathis, potato chips, cutlets are available. They are prepared afrash. Sugarcane juice can be tried. Maaza is available.

Huge selection of products, herbs, spices, quick bites fresh foods, live chaat section is amazing, just that they could add onions in paani poori. Aisles are compact and gets crowded on weekends, could get better with space management. Decent enough experience but won't feel the need to go again, specially with so much crowd. 3.5/5 rating I would say for our family's experience.

First of all, this store don’t give you refund. Only exchange policy. I didn’t have the receipt but credit card transactions details for returning a Deep product worth less than $5. I was told that they don’t carry this product. I went to the aisle and pulled the exact same Deep brand product. I was told it was store manager mistake that he didn’t recognize that they carry the product. Either store manager was lying or the person assisting customers. Bottomline is that this store don’t care about customers thinking business will remain unimapacted. Very unfortunate and I am sure owners don’t look at the reviews and respond Or clarify
