Google
Best Indian groceries in Nashville. They have all varieties of vegetables, snacks, own made snacks, oil, bakery and puff items. Checkout was quick and they have large parking lot. Enough carts available for shopping. They have large clay pot varieties too.

Albron Hana

Google
I’ve waited way too long to check this place out! One of the cleanest, easy to navigate , aesthetically pleasing stores I’ve ever been too! It’s about 15 minutes south of me, but I won’t be going anywhere else to shop! Must try the fresh made goodies! Bravo Patel Brothers

Google
I would not recommend buying slow-moving items from Patel. Last week, I purchased Anand Little Millet, Foxtail Millet, and another brand called Swetha Little Millet. While the Swetha brand seemed slightly better — no strong oily smell or color change (though I haven’t cooked it yet) — the Anand and Foxtail millet were clearly old stock with a strong, unpleasant oily smell. Even after washing them multiple times, they remained inedible and had to be thrown away. Stores should take care to remove such outdated stock from their shelves. Sharing this review so others can be cautious. I experienced an upset stomach and diarrhea after eating the Anand Little Millet. The grains had an oily smell and color change, which I now realize were signs of spoilage. I’m throwing the rest away and strongly advise others to avoid this product. It's disappointing that such old stock is still being sold.

Google
Great place for all your Indian grocery needs. They have a wide variety of items and goods at a reasonable price. Spacious parking is available and the staff is helpful.

Google
Clean market with broad selection of Indian and other Asian foods. Good produce. As a gringo through and through, I don't know what much of their offering is. Good looking deli. I stop there when in the area and try something new.

Google
A huge upgrade from their old store. Large single building , with enough parking , electric car charging station. Carts are maintained cleanly, store has lot of products, it is a single stop for anything Indian items you have it in mind like vessels , masala , spices etc., clean restrooms and their vegetable section is not more collection and not maintained much fresh. I appreciate the space given for a shopping , there in house dining place is vegetarian . There is not much items when we were there but I believe they may have samosa , chats etc.,. The staffs are not so welcoming or friendly , felt like they don’t bother you are there for shopping and you are a customer. I understand doing it for a whole day is touch but even an eye contact is not there. As such you are worried about product and not bothered about experience, this is for you. Pricing is normal . Will recommend this store for anyone who wants to have a good Indian grocery

TripIt Now or Never

Google
Wow this place has amazing collection of Indian spices, frozen food, instant snacks, different varieties of instant coffee and tea collection. We like the frozen food section, where we grab different readymade food and snacks items. We loved the Instant masala tea flavors and Vagh Bakari Masala tea is my favorite one. I tried other flavors as well and those were as good too.

Google
Good Indian grocery store and lot of Indian variety items. Only thing you should always check expiry dates of products when you are buying it from this store. There will be expiry products along with non expiry products. Sometime the prices are missing so you should check at counter before buying the product.

Yelp
I was already a dedicated shopper at the smaller Patel Bros location, but gladly visit this fantastic Indian grocery store! From the moment you walk in, you notice how spacious and impeccably clean the environment is, compared to many, many previous Indian and Asian grocery stores. The variety of products here is very broad. Whether you're looking for spices, fresh produce, snacks, desserts, or other specialty items, they seem to have variety--and in abundance! The aisles are well-organized and neatly stocked, making it easy to find exactly what you need. And on the odd occasion that I truly cannot find something, the staff is quite helpful in locating the desired item. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist made my shopping experience easy. I also appreciate the quality of the products they offer. Everything looks fresh and of high quality. Overall, this Indian grocery store has quickly become my go-to place for all things Indian cuisine. Whether you're a seasoned cook or a novice looking to explore new flavors, I highly recommend paying them a visit. You won't be disappointed! Kudos to the team for running such a top-notch establishment. I'll definitely be back soon to stock up on more essentials and discover new culinary delights.

Yelp
Patel brother is perhaps the only Indian store that is closer to the downtown. The store has plenty of Indian ingredients right from spices, lentils, beans etc. They also offer a range of Indian snacks, instant eats, Indian cooking oil, ghee and also ayurvedic oils and medicines. They also have vegetables and fruits. Apart from the fresh produce, I like Patel Brothers, but for fresh produce I would say that the quality isn't necessarily guaranteed. Fruits are a little expensive here. But I love Patel brothers for restocking my Indian pantry. They have plenty of parking spots and they also have a bakery inside for puffs and buns.

Yelp
Love this vegetarian Indian grocery store so much. So clean, so nice, great produce. Everything at the bakery is good - highly recommend veg curry puff, it's our favorite. My husband is Indian and does most of our Indian cooking but for something fast their TV dinners are really good. They have paneer, masala dinners, everything.

Yelp
Note: They had moved and neither Google or Yelp had up to date information when I dropped in (I've submitted an edit). The new location on 420 Harding place is a short walk from the abandoned old one (and apparently the people at the vape shop their are on good terms with this store because they directed me to the right place). Once I got there, I found what I think is both the largest and cleanest Indian market I have ever been in. A wide variety of vegetables was available, as well as entire aisles of things like pickles (don't let that term be a turn-off: Indian pickled fruits and vegetables are way better than brined cucumbers), teas, beans, and snacks. It isn't 100% vegetarian, but there is a ton of good stuff and a fairly clear line demarcating where the non-vegetarian items lie. I didn't find 100% of what I wanted (no drumstick plants, for instance), but if that's the standard, no store is ever going to meet it. I found a lot of nice things. Signage states that a shopping complex of related businesses is supposed to be coming in around it. For now, anyone here should realize that there are not a lot of places around with better selection than this.

Yelp
Nicest Patel Bros, at least 6-8 electric charging stations, really nice prepared foods/pastries and desserts section, also a bonus - very clean bathrooms. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and lots of registers open, no wait time for checkout. Pretty well stocked produce and the best frozen section I've seen at any PB.

Yelp
I stopped by the new Patel Brothers this morning when I was in the area and looking for some snacks for a roadtrip. It's in almost the same location as before - but wayyyyyy bigger! It's so big and bright and well-stocked? Need herbs? Produce? Hard-to-find produce? Snacks? Spices? Rice? They have it all. (Seriously, there's a rice AISLE.) The store is big enough to have really wide aisles and it feels so spacious (the anti-Trader Joes). This store really has everything, and it's such an upgrade from their old location (way bigger, newer, tons of parking - remember the parking situation before??)! It also has an area where you can lunch to go! If you were a fan of the old Patel Brothers, get yourself to Patel Brothers quick! It's wonderful! South Nashville is lucky to have it!

Yelp
We were driving by and noticed this new store right off Nolensville Pike so we decided to stop and check it out. Plenty of parking out front. Generous selection of fruits and vegetables, some of which we played a guessing game to try and figure out what they are being that we're not extremely versed in Indian cuisine ingredients. We enjoyed perusing the isles figuring out what to make for dinner. A whole row of Indian snack foods tempted us as well. There's a deli on one side with fresh baked goods along with hot items and a few curries. So enjoyable to get out and experience the vast selections available at Patel Brothers Market.

Yelp
Variety, variety, variety! Ethnically diverse grocery store that is clean and well organized.

Mark W.

Yelp
They have a great selection of fresh produce, canned and frozen goods. I usually plan on stopping by any time I'm in Nashville.

Yelp
I think this is my first review since the lockdown and we have been one of those people who have been doing grocery shopping, and have not ventured with takeout/delivery except once. So we usually frequent Asian grocery stores once in a few months. Patel Brothers is a great place to get a full access to Indian Subcontinent produce and goods. From authentic Indian veggies like Bitter Gourd to Ivy Gourd to Ash Gourd (it's all about gourds!) to spices and grains. Quality control is better than at K&S! During covid, all staff were wearing masks and gloves. 6 ft is hard to maintain in these places. And the effects of strained supply chain are obvious in limited supplies. No restrictions on quantities though. I am wary of unpackaged, covered but barrel stored produce, like grains and nuts that one can scoop as needed. Considering there are customers that choose not to wear masks, I'd err on the side of caution in consuming produce that cannot be rinsed (dry grains-ok; nuts-not so sure). It took me three stores to find one particular spice, and Patel did not have the spice in stock. The prices are the best for certain products, higher for some other ones. So if you are familiar with the shops in the area, then you will know where to get what. Overall, this will be a frequent stop for quality and fresh produce.

Yelp
I brought Vadilal ice Cream. Unfortunately it was very old and expired I didn't realize until I opened it. They carry lot of old expired food Especially in freezer and ready to eat food packets. I paid $5 for this absolutely disgusting and old ice cream I would have got a great ice cream at Jenis or Whole Foods for $5. Disgusting and disgrace!

Yelp
I was in the area and passed by Patel Brothers. I just moved from Chicago where they have a Patel Brothers and was curious if it was the same store, so I stopped in. It was a Sunday. It was crowded. Very very crowded. Lots of little kids just roaming around the store unattended. The parking lot is small and full, so I parked at the bank next door since I assumed the bank was closed and would not be towing cars. I have a feeling this is the same Patel Brothers that is in Chicago. The produce section has a wide variety of things that you would not find in a Kroger or Whole Foods. There is just so much stuff to look at as you walk the aisles. The one thing that this Patel Brothers did not have that the one in Chicago has is a bulk foods section. There was a snack that I would buy in bulk but I could not find it at this store. I looked in the prepackaged snacks but could not tell what it was. Oh well. The prices are really good and you can get huge packages of spices for very cheap. I will definitely go back but I'll try not to go on a weekend.

Yelp
This place is so amazing. I miss going to India and I had moved away from Nashville for a few years and missed Patel Brothers grocery SO much. It has everything you'd ever want and then some.. last time I was there, I realized there is a deli, too! I had so many samosas! Delish... and so are the many grocery finds like my jars of mint & cilantro sauce or ginger/tumeric paste. Believe me, you want to go here.

Taneem A.

Yelp
Very good selection and variety in fresh vegetables and packaged foods. Knowledgeable staff. Clean and appealing. Ample parking.
google avatar

Jordan G.

Yelp
Absolutely love this grocery store. From the produce to the dry goods, you can't go wrong when shopping here. Patel brothers carries a large variety of goods enough to suit any shopper. I found my favorite hot tea here, Masala tea, and will continue coming back.

Yelp
Naan naan naan come on! Nolensville Pike is home to many a international market. This has to be one of the cleanest. Patel Brothers is an Indian market, specializing in all things Indian. We shop here to get different items to make samosa chaat, tikka masala, biryani. They've got tons & tons of cans of Gulab Jamun, a sweet, dessert ball that I could eat my weight in. The shop has a large selection of fresh produce as well. The store is very well stocked & clutter free, along with being well lit. It's easy to find stuff in the store once you've found the roundabout section. This (along with a lot of other international markets) is a great place to by even mundane spices at much better prices than a regular grocery store. One of the only downsides is the place is packed on the weekend, or weeknight for that matter, & the parking lot is kind of tight in the front.
google avatar

Vasanth P.

Yelp
Very bad Behavior by store manager and they act like rowdies. They keep child labor and under pay them . They literally throwed things out from my cart and ditched me out for simple reason. Indians should avoid any cost this store may be my situation come to any one. I am sending this message everyone i know in Nashville. Unless another big stores like India Grocers are going to come to Nashville these guys atrocities going to continue.
google avatar

Tessa B.

Yelp
Excellent Indian market. With a good selection of fresh vegetables, snacks and frozen foods.

Lynn A.

Yelp
It was extremely busy, my first time going there. The parking was very tight. I actually saw a fender bender in the parking lot. It was a Uber driver & another car. I went to purchase henna. I wasn't sure where it was, I had to ask. The associated was stocking, he acted like I was bothering him. Cashier never spoke. I understand culture. If you go be careful parking.
google avatar

Lindsey J.

Yelp
Visited this Nolensville GEM for the first time and will be back for sure! Patel Brothers is very organized, clean and well-stocked. They have a particularly impressive array of dried goods that you can buy in bulk (grains, beans, lentils, spices, etc.) as well as unique frozen produce that I can't wait to try! Parking is limited. And there's is a random jewelry kiosk in the store that seems a bit out of place.
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Very clean and well organized Indian market. The staff is friendly, and prices and selection are excellent. What more could you ask? When I went, there were lots of shoppers and many people re-stocking, so they seem to be a thriving business. Also, I learned that the big chain grocery stores are ripping us off for fresh herbs and spices. This is where to go.
google avatar

Raakesh S.

Yelp
we come here often for grocery especially weekends when we have to load up. best one in Nashville for variety and selection, very crowded esply on weekends so we time ourselves wisely. quick n good service, worth the shopping hassle
google avatar

Elliot B.

Yelp
I take a trip here about every month and half to stock up on my prepackaged meals that I take for lunch. I enjoy the MTR namebrand, and they have packages of pre-made specialties such as Aloo Methi, Chana Masala, Aloo Mutter, Pav Bhaji, etc. They also have some delicious items in the freezer section, although some can be a bit pricey. The naan pizzas are great, but they are also easy to make at home if you buy the naan. The fridge section also has some interesting juices as well as an extensive selection of produce.
google avatar

Jill R.

Yelp
I wish I knew about this store five years earlier! It has a generous selection of fruits and veggies popular in Indian and Southwest Asian cuisine, as well as two aisles of spices and chutneys. Patel Brothers also has several freezers full of ready-to-heat meals and snacks- its pretty cool, especially for non-native cooks attempting to make Indian food (read... me.) It does get quite busy and there were long lines to go through two cashiers, so plan ahead. I'm amazed how they have all that fresh produce that I didn't think was availble in the US. Even if you don't know how to cook Indian food, I suggest you stop in and buy some of the ready-made meals, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Peter K.

Yelp
Looking for Indian groceries? Patel Brothers has what you need. Walking in you get a whiff of the scents and spices that transport to you another place and time. This is my to-go place for basmati rice, dal's, spices, powders, and ultra cheap produce. This grocery store is a cultural experience. You're bound to find some spice mix or Indian dessert that will fancy your taste buds. There is a small parking lot in front of the store off Nolensville....it gets fairly busy at all times of the day.
google avatar

Paul K.

Yelp
If you're looking for Indian junk food and freezer meals, you're in luck. Oh, they have everything for Indian food, but microwavable yummies from the freezer are a big draw for when you're not in the mood to cook. The only thing about this place I did not like was there were a boatload of gnats in one area - my assumption was a bad veggie as they seemed localized to one area in the fresh produce section. The store itself was a little too small I think, but not too much so. It so far is the best Indian-food grocery I have been to
google avatar

Jessie H.

Yelp
What a wonderful grocery store. I particularly love the bulk chaat snacks section - can't be beat. A great place to get all your south asian pantry items, and good, fresh, vegetables.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Dang, this place is nice. At most international markets, you try not to notice how dark and dingy they are. This place is very bright and clean, very well stocked. The produce was fresh. It's Indian only, so there's a great variety of foods, most of which I don't understand. A great place to explore.
google avatar

Tart L.

Yelp
Indian vegetarian and chicken spices, and other asian cooking supplies can be found at this south Nashville grocery. An Indian national chain, they offer chutnes and rice varieties, pules, curry, mukhva and namkeen snacks. I like baked and sweet items here best; be sure to ask the nice clerk to show you the rajbhog sweets section. Puja prayer items for Hindu ceremonial times are here including Hem Cannabis incense, copper divi, diya vats and assorted agarbatti. Patel is a common Indian name, but brothers Talashi and Mafat have made the Patel name known specifically for quality Indian groceries.
google avatar

Ashwin M.

Yelp
We moved from San Diego to Nashville and were wondering if our accessibility to Indian groceries would remain the same. Surprisingly, this place is far more than what we expected. Don't be fooled by its locality (all Indian stores tend to be in crappy neighborhoods). The density of items in this store is pretty huge. They carry fresh vegetables (they come in Thursdays), a huge selection of frozen foods and all the masalas and powders one might need. As usual, they have flours and rice of different varieties and cooking utensils. I was surprised to see huge earthern pots filled with savory snack items that one can scoop out and fill up a plastic bag with. This place is definitely a go-to place for all your Indian grocery needs. (There is a 10$ minimum on credit cards)

Daniel B.

Yelp
This store is stocked with spices! The selection is very large and caters to Indian culture and cuisine. However, the produce and spice selection is universal and affordably priced. The staff and the clientele have been very helpful to me in terms of educating me on learning something other than Southern Meat and Three. I like this place. Check it out.

Margarita M.

Yelp
Love this place. Well stock, clean, friendly staff. Affordable prices and a healthier diet.
google avatar

T D.

Yelp
Finally drove my happy butt to this store that is an hour away.. Loved it. Finally have all the spices I needed for my pantry. Great selection of everything. They even have Thai products as well. Will come again. :)
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing grocery! Incredibly CLEAN and organized, with friendly staff. We found so many interesting things to try!
google avatar

Janet S.

Yelp
Huge Indian Grocery, every spice and pre-mixed spice package known to mankind, beautifully displayed. Cheap, fresh and clean vegetable area, big selection of rice and of course a zillion Indian fast foods, great for pulling out the freezer for bridge night or for feeding surprise guests. Large Carts or baskets for the provos or my personal favourite the medium green wheelie basket (this keeps your shopping under control), today's haul: low fat paneer $4.99, 8oz ghee 3.99, 1lb of okra $2.49 and of course some kadhai egg curry mix $1.49. Yes it's Indian week. Do your cookery research ahead of time and prepare to impress your friends.

Jen J.

Yelp
Try getting someone to assist you if you are not Indian. The herbs appear fresh, but the mangoes had fruit fly worms, the bananas looked bad - otherwise good selection. They must do something about customer service - that is non-existent!

Craig W.

Yelp
Great Indian Grocer in Nashville! Offers a great selection of produce at very affordable prices. If you are interested in cooking a traditional Indian meal, everything you need can be found at Patel Brothers. The staff is always friendly, the shelves are always stocked, and the checkout lines move quickly. If you are not familiar with the cooking techniques to prepare an Indian dish, they offer frozen Indian dinners. I highly recommend Patel Brothers to spice up your grocery shopping experience!

Lisa H.

Yelp
This store is heaven-sent...such a wonderful array of Indian spices, rices, teas and one of the best fresh vegetable selections in Nashville. My husband is a keen cook and this will be our go-to place for all cooking needs. Highly recommended, can't wait for our next trip!!

John P.

Yelp
This is a great place to shop indian groceries. Especially southern frozen foods if you love southern breakfast items. Well, organized and easy to find. I recently found about this store and added it to my list. I also like Apna Bazaar a few hundred yards away from this store which is good too.

mulla a.

Yelp
good store to fine any Indian spice food or vegetable for all occasion and also beautiful woman their too.
