Great Store and Even Better People We visit Patel Brothers in Orlando quite often, and it’s easily one of our favorite places to shop. They have a wide variety of Indian groceries, spices, snacks, and fresh produce it’s so convenient to find everything in one place. What really makes this store special is the people. Patelbhai, his wife, and the entire staff are incredibly kind, hardworking, and always ready to help. They treat every customer with genuine respect and go above and beyond to make sure you find what you need. Big respect to the whole team for running such a clean, organized, and welcoming store. It’s always a great experience, and we’re lucky to have them in Orlando. Highly recommend!

PATEL BROTHERS ORLANDO is an out standing Indian supermarket. Vegetables I bought from here stays fresh for longer time. Goods are priced reasonably and you can buy very very good Indian items Food is of authentic taste. A genuinely maintained establishment with pride. Service is fantastic. I always felt I went to a TOP quality market. Thanks 🙏

Disappointed! Bought Gingelly Oil from a well-known store, turns out it was by Meenakshi Overseas LLC. It’s definitely not the authentic VVV & Sons brand — the quality is poor. The oil has a strange odor and shows separation with some sediment sitting at the bottom. Only used a small portion and had to dump the rest. Why are stores still keeping such products on their shelves? Authorities should test if it’s even safe for consumption.

A Gem for the Indian Community in Orlando! I can’t say enough good things about Patel Brothers Orlando. My wife is Indian, and we visit regularly to shop for all our groceries, spices, and snacks it truly feels like a little slice of India in Central Florida. What really sets this place apart is the people. Alpesh bhai and his wife are some of the kindest and most hardworking individuals we’ve met. They are always welcoming, respectful, and go out of their way to help customers. Every staff member we’ve interacted with is polite, efficient, and ready to assist with a smile even when the store is packed.Hats off to the entire Patel Brothers Orlando team for maintaining such a wide selection of fresh produce, frozen items, snacks, and specialty goods all under one roof. It’s not just a store, it’s a community hub. We’re grateful to have them in our city.Highly recommended to anyone looking for authentic Indian groceries with great service!

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I just walked into this Patel Brothers and the experience was horrible. The customer service was disgusting, no one wanted to help us, and we were met with dirty looks, especially in the bakery section when I went to check out the samosas. I felt so uncomfortable, I didn't even buy anything, I just left. I love Indian food, but after this, I will never come back to this place.

Yelp
If you're in Orlando and in search of Indian groceries, this store is definitely worth a visit. It's a spacious location with an excellent food section, providing a wide variety of vegetarian options and ready-to-eat curries. They also offer fresh rotis and theplas. I truly think a similar section should open in Tampa for food!

Yelp
got bunch of paneer puffs, dal vada, and samosas on a Tuesday. They were very stale. Looks like they were made over the weekend. Had to literally throw them out

Yelp
Came here with my friends to get some spices. I was very thrilled because they have a lot of food from different part of India. The produce section were looking fresh and cheap. The different aisles especially the frozen section shows so many different types of Indian food. The spices selection were amazing and the price were similar/slightly cheaper compared to Walmart. I am a tea fan especially to chai and saw how they have so many varieties just made me very excited. Overall, it is very clean and neatly organized. I would recommend it to anyone who want to visit or looking for some India specific items!

Yelp
Good selections for grains, beans/lentils, East Indian spices. Etc. The service is sub par, no one seems interested in helping you spend your money there by assisting you with purchases. Probably won't go back.

Yelp
when you walk in here the smell of all the spices hit you in the face. Pow! If you're not familiar with it and might be a bit much for you but I love it. I love the smell of most ethnic stores because I know that something unusual I'm exciting is there for me to try. This store has all the essential items for cooking and Indian meal. They have everything from fresh produce to vitamins and beauty aids. They have tons of snacks and sweets, frozen items and spices. usually when I go in there it's to buy snacks and frozen roti so I don't have to make it myself. The place is very crowded on the weekends and there's not a lot of space to maneuver your cart. I see all kinds of people shopping in the store and everybody is helpful. If you're lucky, they have dhokla at the checkout sometimes. Dhokla is a savoury steamed cake that is spicy, sour and full of flavor. Ask for a piece to try!

Yelp
I received an Indian cookbook for Christmas and visited Patel Bros to make sure I had authentic ingredients. This grocery store is great! Everything was organized in a way I could find things despite it being my first visit. Social distancing was enforced with one lane aisles, and our checkout experience was quick and efficient. Happy to know this isn't too far away when we're ready to try new recipes.

Yelp
One of, if not the cleanest, best stocked, well maintained Indian markets in town. Fantastic prices. Super affordable. Fresh produce. Amazing selection. The store is kept colder which is great for keeping produce fresh and pests out. The snack aisle has most surely contributed greatly to a few extra pounds, but it's worth it. Got my bf hooked on the Masala munchies. Still not sure why we don't sell lay's magic Masala blend chips everywhere in the States. They are fantastic. For a man who doesn't really care for grocery shopping, the mere mention of Patel bros. Gets him out the door! I always come here to buy my spices and chilies! Super fresh red and green chili. Tons of pickles, chutneys, and sauces. Dried beans, lentils, rice are always available and with a huge selection. I scour the fresh section for coconut barfi (my fave)!! Perfect for chai. They also have a huge selection of parathas. Seriously, this is the Indian publix. Beware Sunday's are always busy and usually when I wait longer in line but well worth it. You'll see all walks of life here. I've never been judged and employees are very helpful!

Yelp
As someone who considers switching to plant-based food, I dream of Atlanta's Korean grocery like stores in our town. Today, I was recommended by Travel Foodie to cheeck out Patel Brothers at OBT and Sandlake Road. Then I was a happy camper. The produce was fresh and well kept (while many other giant chains froze their veggies). The frozen was also very impressive. And spices, oh mine. I picked a jar of pickled mango to sample tonight. A bit far to travel from East Orlando, but I will not mind driving for this place. On our way out, we bought a sandwich with spicy potatoes and curry paste to try. It was mouth watering.

Yelp
The dry food products are pricey but many are difficult to find otherwise. Fresh food is a good price. They had lots of specialty items that will help me make awesome Indian vegetarian meals for weeks. Also yes, the staff are not at all friendly, but it was honestly kind of funny to hear a worker essentially ask people to leave before closing! ("Pleeeease bring your products to the register, we're closing soon sooo..." lol you can't make this stuff up!)

Athira N.

Yelp
Poor customer service, cashier was literally throwing our stuff into the bag as he was ringing it up and broke packaging of the stuff we bought. He continues to bag stuff without addressing it, was rude and didn't apologize or offer to replace the item.

Yelp
This place is lovely! The people were nice and didn't make me feel like I didn't belong. I have been to a couple of Indian grocery stores where they stared at me as I shopped and all talking stopped until I left then it got loud like a party when I crossed the threshold. The fruits were a little expensive to me, but my favorite part of the store was the samosa! They have huge ones you can buy at the register along with sandwiches. Now every time I am across town if I am close enough to this shop I am getting a few samosas for the trip back home!

Yelp
The spice greets you as you walk in the door. Great huge baskets of spices. . .just like I have seen in the movies. Paneer cheese, dettol, and stacks of glorious incense, really great smelling great quality incense at super cheap prices, can be found here. Tons of other items that I have not a clue what to do with can be found here as well. I came for jewelry and ornate clothing, but there is none to be found. If clothing and jewelry is what you seek, try Apna Andaz instead. This place is not about service. You tend to yourself.

Yelp
Just driving by and noticed the store sign... My husband and I decided to checking out. First observation, very Clean and organized! Different Isles, spices, produce section, freezer product section, and a large section dedicated to different variety of rice. I am definitely coming Back to shop here.

Yelp
Yesterday on 1/23 (for anyone into numerology) I was a paying customer and, right as I walked in, I had a tall Male employee (who was organizing vegetables with a large red Bindi, proceeded to follow me all around the store, up and down isles, and watch my every move in the store the entire thirty minutes I spent there) and I had never even been here in my life. On a side note, very good selection, I bought about 20 dollars worth of Ayurvedic health products, BUT, but... but, felt very awkward and almost annoyed by one employee that had a stigma against me the first step in the store. Please treat your customers with respect in the future if you read this and nitnso quick to judgements, not everyone is there to steal, there are more righteous people than you would think, but you will know who you are. I was having very intelligent conversations with other customers giving Ayurvedic advice on Amla, Brahmi, and Gotu Kola, (as you were right there breathing down my neck listening to the conversation) and that still didn't break the bad vibe you created. With nothing but loving intentions attached to this review, for your sake and others, hope you don't do this to many people, maybe it was because I wasn't Indian? I love everything about the Indian culture, but what a terrible experience and anxiety you exuded from a hunch you may have had on me. (for the record, all the other employees were very nice but it takes one bad apple to ruin it for the bunch) Please email me at Charlottesville@aol.com if you would like to discuss this matter

Yelp
(9/25/2017) Great grocery store for specialty Indian goods. Produce section is small but varied. Some of the Western vegetables a little sad looking (russet potatoes, zucchini), but the most enormous heads of green cabbage I've ever seen for sale. Love the pickle bar, unfortunately, no taste testing :) Aisles of those items you need for food from the Subcontinent, where else will you find a whole section for jaggery and masala?? Prices were OK by me, but I don't routinely buy such things, so willing to pay for it. Don't miss the portrait of the Patel Brothers with Bill Clinton, proudly displayed in the shrines aisle!

Yelp
Good Indian store but not the friendliest of employees. I'm shocked that they use styrofoam when packing their khaman and samosas for customers (which are great btw). I'll bring in my own storage containers from now on. It stuns me that places still use styrofoam even when we know it's terrible for the environment.

Yelp
Great selection of Indian groceries at reasonable prices. Since they opened, we prefer this over other Indian stores in orlando. Close to indian holidays, they have good sales. The quality of all the groceries are consistently good. On the weekends expect the store to be crowded and have difficulty maneuvering in the aisles. Used to go to Patel brothers all the time when I lived in Chicago. Same chain, but this is a smaller store than the one there. Cashiers are pleasant and helpful.

Roger S.

Yelp
Nice place, well stocked of Indian Groceries, Bit over priced, still don't mind paying. Worst customer service, have talk to the owner but nobody cares. Seems like they don't trust their customers !!! Need to learn customer service from House of Spices (Original Owners)
google avatar

Ruth L.

Yelp
Found Patel Brothers by a chance after my first visit at House of Spices. Patel Brothers is MUCH cheaper, MUCH cleaner, and has a larger selection than House of Spices.
google avatar

Enrique C.

Yelp
Very ethnic Indian grocery store close to Florida mall and hidden from the sights of normal folks. If you want any type of spice or Indian grocery, feel free to stop by here. You will literally find almost everything you want and wish for back at the Homeland in India. Secret jewel: get the Britannia biscuits, they're good to drool for.
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
Great produce section.

Yelp
I LOVE this shop! I can get anything Indian I want here at good prices!! I get all kinds of make It yourself dinner items and ready to eat dishes.. great selection of nuts, beans, rices, dried fruits and teas...

Yelp
Today I had very bad experience bought grocery and other items but bought 3 packs of different brand henna color two had sticker price on it for 2.99 and one did not have any sticker price but all of them scanned 3.99 I pointed it out n the cashiers start blaming it on the customer i m a customer too and when I took it from the shelf there was an employee putting those items on the shelf I voided the items and told those cashiers that I won't be shopping there no more
google avatar

Karim B.

Yelp
Be very careful things are changing @ Patel Brothers since they opened. They were trying to get the customers from their competition so for 3 months they very cutting prices lower than their competitors, not any more. Last 2 times I went the prices has gone up a lot even more than their competitors. If you are tight on your budget I would defiantly go to house of spices on OBT.

Manpreet K.

Yelp
I was visiting orlando ( I do frequently) and had a chance to visit Patel brothers on Sand lake rd This has to be the most complete store I've ever seen. They just had everything Spices, Groceries (throw away prices) incredible selection of highquality cookware, spiritual, religious items. The people were friendly-they had all I wanted.
google avatar

Tino P.

Yelp
Excellent service. Fresh produce. I loved the experience of shopping at patel brothers. Service is superb.
google avatar

Mabel P.

Yelp
Great prices! wonderful herbs, spices, and great selection of incense. You can't be a box of 120 incense sticks for around $3.50!

dural m.

Yelp
service is bad with stocking staff in the way and inattentive cashiers almost always. You want my money then hurry up and get it but if I cant walk through the store and then if and when I get to the cashier she is a jerk well, I walk out and you can put the stuff away that is if you can navigate the stock people and their mess. Did it once and I'll do it only one more time if you don't train your personnel.

Ben D.

Yelp
WOW now this is a very clean Indian Grocery store. MUCH MORE NICER then House of Spices. And the best thing is that Patel Brothers Doesn't have RATS like House of Spices. So you know you wont get sick from eating here. And the Prices are great. Very Fresh veggies. Have nice clean coolers and freezers. Thank you guys for coming to Orlando. WE really needed a Indian grocery store like this!!!
