Google
Pretty good! I wanted to go to the other place that just opened up a couple stalls down, but they had a weird waiting list system that wouldn't give you a good estimate on how long you'd have to wait, and we were hungry. That other place also closes Wednesdays. This place was a good choice. Food was great! Portions weren't skimpy, and it tasted pretty good! Admittedly though, the cumin I thought wasn't as strong on their Cumin lamb, and I felt it could've been spicier, but still tasted good! Dumplings were nice and huge too. Won't stop me from coming back for sure! Pro-tip: Pay with cash or Venmo, and you get 5% off!

Google
Good food good people. Service was really nice. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Environment was great. Would come again! Updated: Came again! The lamb was cooked very deliberately and very deliciously! Highly recommend.

Google
This place is a hidden gem! The whole place is well decorated. The server was very helpful and friendly. The dry pot is one of my favorite, totally recommend. They have a lot of options of different varieties of foods to choose from. Overall experience is great, would be back!

Google
Very nice decor tasty menu. Build your own hotpot veggies nice concept, I liked it. Support this place we need nice places like this in TC.

Google
it used to be a japanese restaurant the hot pot is rlly bad compared to to other place but I think they knew it so give us free watermelon also this place doesn’t have that much customers

Google
I Couldn't find a solid review to help me order but its so close to home i took a chance. Saw a Bulgogi beef on the menu which is a familiar Dish to me so i quickly ordered That and decided to sit down. A couple of minutes later, and i have a Nice Healthy bowl of Rice Topped with a heap of BEEF! It was delicious! Thank YOU!

Google
Have been dining here for too long and just realized how underrated the place is on google. Dry pot and dry mix here are my favorites. You get to choose whatever ingredients you like in the fridge and there are quite a lot to choose from. For the flavor, if you find it not to your tasting, feel free to ask the chef to adjust it to your liking. Cuz the chef is honestly a nice person. His face just happened to look a bit intimidating. And he remembers his customers and how they like their food. So eventually you don’t even need to say anything and it will be made to the way you like it. There you have it, a friendly and loving restaurant with tasty food is how I would describe this place.

Google
The place my friend recommended to me. The environment makes me very uncomfortable, hot and the service is very poor. I'm not a pickyer ,but I don't think it's delicious. we wait for food for a long time, and saw the waiter sort out the food by hand, make me and my friends felling so bad ,I don't have any appetite during the meal. I can't accept such behavior. my friend ordered bubble tea tastes like water. This is the worst restaurant we have ever been! We are very disappointed.

Kate K.

Yelp
What a feast with crawfish! Pepper beef on rice comes with a decent size steak. Great value & yummy!

Yelp
Amazing and really expertly cooked food with healthy and fresh ingredients. First you pick out fresh ingredients and meats from the fridge and then you request how you would like your dish cooked. We started with mild but spicy next time for sure. Delicious peach yogurt drink - would come just for this! Very clean establishment with calm atmosphere, good for groups. Overall, really enjoyed my first time eating dry pot! Thank you so much to the lovely owners for their wonderful service.

Emily L.

Yelp
The ambiance and decor was very beautiful and nice. The owners here are so kind and gave us a free side. The service was great! Got two build your own mala at mild spicy but still pretty spicy. Would recommend

Yelp
My favorite dry pot in Southern California. Very clean and great service! I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Best dry pot ever!! We had the medium spicy level and it was perfectly spicy and numbing, definitely a spot for spicy lovers! They had a selection of veggies and meats you can add on, its so hard to find a good mala spot and the prices were very fair too! Their veggies were clean and soaked in water, the nice lady in the front helped us through the ordering process. Will definitely be coming back. Completely devoured.....

Yelp
I would give a 0 star if there's an option. The tofu was spoiled and made the whole meal smell sour...The waiter took the order wrong. Ordered beef hotpot over the phone but were given fish, meet ball, and a bunch of random fish balls ...( the price was end up calculated by the weight of orders that we didn't make) Called to ask, but we were told the waiter didn't write down it's beef hotpot so they just randomly add food inside...Shouldn't they confirm the order before making the meal? Spent $25 for a spoiled meal... No apology, no compensation, just you deserve it...

Yelp
Been here a few times and the food always hits the spot. I love getting the mala dry pot and its the best diy dry pot i've had. Owners are super nice too! It's always quieter there since most people order takeout but it is a comfy enviornment!

Yelp
Great service and a hidden gem!!! All the workers over there are actually really nice and friendly! I order their french fries with some fresh cold water and everything is just so delicious! The whole entire area inside the restaurant is very clean and spacious too! The food and drink menu prices are really reasonable as well!! I definitely will come back there again when I get the chance!! Five stars is my actual total rating!!! :)

Yelp
I stopped by here for a take out order and the restaurant was very clean. I had called in earlier and the order was ready when I arrived. I tried the braised pork rice bowl and it was tasty. Would come back to try more dishes!

Yelp
Ordered the boba milk tea from them and got a hand-drawn cup Merry Christmas to you too:) My favorite restaurant!

Yelp
I debated writing this review but I think I should to warn others. Absolutely DO NOT waste your money here. We should have honestly left when we walked in and realized there was absolutely no one in the restaurant on a busy Memorial Day Weekend Sunday. The food we received was honestly awful. We ordered the Korean Buckwheat Noodles and the Curry Chicken Cutlet and we were honestly appalled. Old browned celery, the only vegetable on the plate. Chicken was extremely questionable, looked extremely undercooked inside (I wish I had taken a photo but was trying to be quick to pay and leave). The rice, which I took the smallest bite of, was indeed old and a tad bit mushy. The buckwheat noodles were 100% packaged / store bought. My partner commented that they had a "soapy" strange taste. He took one bite and refused the rest. The food came out in under 5 minutes which also was very telling, and I could see the cook in the back as well, making our food maskless. Who, might I add, before entering the kitchen to make our food, was sitting on the couch in the front playing loud videos on his phone and looked extremely bored. The woman in the front was very nice but had a terrible cough, which occurred the entire 20 minutes we were there. All in all, it wasn't worth the $40 dollars I paid. I do truly feel like they are stealing people's money with packaged foods and spoiled foods being served and sold. Sadly, I should have gathered the courage to say something and refused payment but I was so hungry and didn't have the energy at the time. Not only that, I just honestly wanted to get out of there as quick as possible and find somewhere else to eat fast. So I suppose thats on me. Please listen to everyone's reviews!!! They are truthful and a warning that should be heeded!

Yelp
Ordered to go. The estimated given time was about 15 min but when I arrived around that time, I had to wait for another 30 mins for the food to be ready. The spicy pot and fry pot were both delicious though. Spicy and flavorful. Portion was a bit small for the price and they swapped out/forgot some items I ordered.
google avatar

Shelly Z.

Yelp
Very clean. Great service, good price. The Korean cold noodles were some of the best I've had. For 2 people plus drinks it was about $50 after tax and tip.
google avatar

Stacy H.

Yelp
The spice level here is pretty spicy so if you love spicy this is the place for you. I got the medium and it was way spicier than I'm used to but definitely still good. The soup didn't come with noodles or rice so I'll have to order that on the side next time. The crawfish rice plate was also pretty good and also very spicy.

Paing Soe K.

Yelp
Food there is really good especially Mala Xiang Guo dry pot. Chief is really friendly and the ambiance of the place is super chill. Their service is on top notch. Drink there suits with dry pot too. 10/10.

Yelp
Good service. Horrible food We we're here Yesterday and having bad diarrhea today. How can you offer BAD seafood! This is food poisoning !
google avatar

Jonathan Y.

Yelp
This is truly a diamond in the rough. We were in the area and couldn't find anything open late to eat and just happened to come across this restaurant. The pictures don't do it justice and might confuse you on what they make. Imagine a cross of Mongolian grill and Taiwanese hot pot but without the soup/broth. You select your own ingredients and they charge you by the weight and cook everything in the back. The flavors are very similar to hotpot but without the soup. We highly recommend the dry pot and don't forget to get a drink, the honey green tea is super delicious, it's very similar to boiling points green tea. We'll definitely be coming back.

Arthur C.

Yelp
I just drove by and decided to give it a try. They have delicious food, nice service, and clean/comfortable ambiance!

Yelp
So I've been seeing this place almost constantly since I live in the neighborhood. I always think to myself..."ok I gotta remember to try that spot! I'll try a few staples for a lunch snack" every time I pass by it. Well today was the day. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered Popcorn Chicken, Fried Cuttlefish Balls, and a smashed cucumber salad, with a Jasmine Milk Tea to wash it all down. Now imagine my UTTER SHOCK when I take that first, highly anticipated bite oh Popcorn Chicken from PATHS TO SPICY, only to find that there is ZERO SPICE. No heat. No burn. Nothing. Nada. Looking at my dishes, I noticed that they all slightly matched the color of my pale milk tea. Even the smashed cucumber salad is relatively bland. *sigh* Now I'm sitting here wondering where it all went wrong. I didn't see any options for spice level when ordering and I figured since there was Spicy in the business name I'd be in good hands. I'm going to finish these dishes (albeit begrudgingly) and then figure out what I will try from there on a future order because let's be honest, mistakes happen, everyone has an off day. I'm a firm believer in trying everything twice just to be sure. Next time I'll try one of the other dishes that everyone raves about. Base Score: 1 star +1 for friendly staff at order pickup +1 for good Jasmine Milk Tea

Yelp
When I went here to buy food to take home I initially was hesitant, it was weekend night and there was literally no one else in the restaurant. For a place that sells seafood, this was extremely concerning. But still I wanted to let the food speak for itself so I ordered the garlic flavored 2 lb crawfish. When I got home and looked at the food I was surprised, the portion was really good, for sure 2 lbs. The smell was great and it tasted what I remembered crawfish being like in China, fragrant and tender. Unfortunately the next day I had major food poisoning. The person who i shared the meal with also had food poisoning so I'm 100% certain it was from this place. I don't know if they didn't clean the crawfish well enough or something else, but whatever the reason I know that I won't ever be back here again. Please exercise caution when buying seafood from a restaurant that barely has customers on a weekend evening. It probably means the seafood isn't fresh.

Sunny K.

Yelp
Great taste, good quality ingredient, cheap price. Definitely will visit again!! So happy to find another new place in town that also opens late. This is my new mala place to go

Yelp
I don't recommended this store!the store is very hot, I have no ideas the boss is not to save electricity does not open air conditioning?mosquitoes almost take me away!a meal I didnt eat, mosquitoes eat me ! I'll never come here again to feed mosquitoes!!!It's terrible!!!

Steven L.

Yelp
Ordered out. Had the pork and napa dumplings and the bone broth lamb hot pot. As someone who enjoys incredibly spicy food, passing by and seeing the name piqued my interest. I ordered the highest level of spiciness for the hotpot, and the level of spiciness was definitely to my liking. Unfortunately, the flavoring of everything outside of this was just bland. The lamb hotpot was loaded with a bunch of random things. Meat was sparing and dry. Corn had a super weird texture, as if it was really old. The lotus root felt like it wasn't even cooked. Broth was just spicy water due to the lack of flavor. There were some kind of cooked meat paste that had a weird flavor as well. Overall, none of the ingredients really complemented each other and the bland soup itself didn't help. The style of dumpings was a super thick wrapper and the filling was bland like everything else. Couldn't even make them taste good with a personalized dipping sauce. Overall, it can be said they are living up to their name, because the spice level does go in that direction. Problem is that even eating a raw chili has some additional flavor profile to it. The spice here just feels like capsaicin without any other flavoring.

Kyle K.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday since it was a new spot. They offer dry pot or soup pot where just pick the sides you want and then they add meat and cook it fit you. We asked for medium spicy but ended up being spicier than expected. A bit pricier than other dry pot places.

lkd w.

Yelp
The shredded pork with chili sauce was pretty good. Very nice sauce. Nice ambience there
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
Lobster rice is my favorite, add an egg, you will love it! I normally can't eat spicy food, but it's so delicious!
google avatar

Joyce W.

Yelp
I have to say i was pretty confused w/ the menu and kinda still am. SO this place you can order their "pots" and add additional items to it. they order by lbs and add whatever items you want. You cant really tell by the menu .. or at least not the english version. the food -super tasty and spicy. perfect for the cold weather. i will definitely order again =D

Steven K.

Yelp
One of my new go to spots for mala dry pot. I've had a lot of mala dry pot places and the price here is really good for the quality. The staff welcomed us nicely and even packed our leftovers for us like sheesh they said service Definitely needs more publicity so more people can come to this place very gr8 good spot

Cindy L.

Yelp
Delicious food with friendly service. Warm environment, exactly I will back and like here really!

Chang X.

Yelp
Very friendly service. Very clean restaurant. The food is of good quality. Very healthy.
google avatar

Fiona P.

Yelp
Ordered beef broth medium spicy and it was not what I expected. Food is too spicy and oily, tasted like the pre-packaged hot pot soup you can get in supermarkets. Not comparable to Yin Tang hot pot at all, their broth is so tasty. Not coming back.
google avatar

Anais R.

Yelp
We ordered the dumplings with pork and another with beef, both were juicy and tasty. We also tried the house special with fried orange chicken and rice and wish we had ordered more, so good. We will come here again another day with more time.
google avatar

A R.

Yelp
This review is for the delivery to go food. Ordered a black pepper steak. Very simple and economic. Well packed. Comes with some vegetables. I would skip the black pepper sauce as it feels watered down. However steak is good!
google avatar

Jane F.

Yelp
I don't know yet about the food but the service is awful. I had ordered online and went in to pick up. No mask girl told me I was at the wrong restaurant then while I waited I asked to buy a $4 tea snd they wouldn't take a credit card. The girl just kept answering "crab pot"

Kyaw Su T.

Yelp
People don't know they have the best Dry Pot. The spiciness is perfect and people who really want spicy, can go there. They have five spiciness level and for most people, medium could be pretty hot. For hot, I am sweating and coughing already. lol. Anyway, people should recognize that place.
google avatar

Yu L.

Yelp
Love It! The chicken soft bone rice bowl and popcorn chicken were one of a kind. I crave spicy food and most of the time I was disappointed by other restaurants because even the extra hot option is not hot enough. However, this place offers tasty food that are not only spicy but flavorful at the same time. I ordered the medium spicy and it was hot enough and not overwhelming. Highly recommended for those who love a little heat.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
So so good! Get the crawfish with the egg and you won't regret it. Bring cash and they give you a discount!
google avatar

Jacque V.

Yelp
Went here wiz my mom, and we both thought this is the best dry pot ever ate!!!!! And also nice service!!!

Rachel T.

Yelp
The food is delicious and spicy the way I like it! Service is good and the restaurant is clean and spacious!
google avatar

Xue Z.

Yelp
The best Takoyaki ever! Also the spicy hot pot, that you pick the food you like. Very personalize and good flavor as well. Totally coming back to try out other stuff.
google avatar

Jimmy Yufeng L.

Yelp
The food is excellent! And the interior are nice. Also The staff are also very polite and enthusiasm.
google avatar

Mikey R.

Yelp
Quality of food is definitely out of this world! I love the flavor of the braised pork over rice. It was absolutely delicious. The food came earlier than I expected! The packaging was also very nice, I enjoyed the plate style and it's aesthetic. Will definitely order more food in the future! Highly recommended!

David F.

Yelp
I visited a few days ago during their soft opening, they had great customer service and even better food. I just wish the food was more spicy, but thats personal preference
google avatar

Adriana H.

Yelp
I came here for the food but ended really remembering it for the drinks. They have a vast variety of milk teas and smoothies. They're service so pretty good as well. They give a lot of food for how much you pay so it is great for families. The interior is also pretty cool and I will definitely be coming here again. I even spilled my water and they were so quick to clean up so I gave a good tip!!

Sami G.

Yelp
The food was good, but saw the chef not wearing a mask after I ordered. He was arguing with a delivery man who was reporting him to his delivery service as well. I'll just microwaved my food when I got home, to be safe.

Ruben G.

Yelp
Not good tasted like burnt sesame seed oil and cilantro .the pork had a weird flavor ....

Andres M.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. The food is incredible. I asked for incredibly spicy, just how I liked it and they delivered!! I am also vegetarian. Very good vegetarian options. Very tasty tofu and noodles. Very good mushrooms. I highly recommend!!
