"At Patio 44, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of ingredients used as well as the discreet and simple façade. This project was created by three friends, with chefs Simão Soares and Alfonso Ramos in charge of the kitchen – a partnership that developed from experience working together in a previous restaurant. Their cuisine is centred around traditional Portuguese cuisine enhanced by modern techniques and unique flavours. Standout dishes include the cod “punheta” with crunchy rice, followed by a vegetarian option (tofu and mushrooms with a mouthwatering demi-glace) and an impressive fresh cod prepared with a smooth chickpea purée. To finish, we highly recommend the spectacular “pão de ló” sponge cake fresh out of the oven, served with goat’s cheese ice-cream. The reasonable prices here are another pleasant surprise!" - Michelin Inspector

Amazing service and food. Our favorites were the croquettes and the gnocchi. Also loved trying the goat cheese ice cream! Love the ambience too amazing service but not pretentious. Would highly recommend.

WOW. I have had great food in Porto so far, but this is just another level above the rest. I could be lying here and saying that the food was “ok”, but the waiter caught our faces while we were eating the food hahahaha.. It’s truly amazing, the service is great and the atmosphere is nice too.

The food was ok, we had the mascarpone with tomato and the brioche. The brioche was dry and they were so sweet to exchange it. The gnocchi was great but the roast beef was not that great. The terrace has plastic chairs and needs a lot of work.

The waiter was super friendly, the food was very good overall. The pork belly was one of the best cooked meats I've ever had! So silky smooth it's insane. All of the dishes we tried were very good. Two things bothered me a little bit though. The cod fish was perfectly cooked, but served with the skin and covered with sauce. If fish is served with skin I'd like to have it fried crispy and plated on top of the sauce to keep it crispy. Having fish skin in the sauce makes it a bit soggy and not fine dining level in my opinion. Also I think the plating would be even more beautiful if you had the crispy skin on top, and the fish visually in the centre. Another thing that bothered us a little bit is that they did not change our plates between dishes. The first dishes were fine with the same plate, but we did not want to waste these grate tastes by eating a meat main dish from a plate we just ate a fish dish. We had to ask them to change the plates, which they gladly did, but it's just something I would not expect to be the case in a restaurant with a food of this quality. Overall a very good dinner, worth the price, but these small issues makes me rate the place at 4 stars instead of 5. Not having these issues it would definitely be 5/5.

Fantastic value for money. Dinner for 2 with three courses, bread and a bottle of wine was only €75. Interesting dishes I had not seen before with high class presentation in a relaxed setting. Not usually a dessert guy but all three options on that day's menu called to me.

Amazing dining experience! The tastes of each of the plates are unique and refreshing. My favorite has to be the Mascarpone e Tomate.
