Yelp
Admittedly, I didn't know this bakery existed until I found it on Yelp but I can safely say, I'm more than glad I was able to discover it. More embarrassingly, however, I had assumed the space that the bakery occupies was an extension of a brunch spot at the corner of Hickson and Wellington. Oops...
Now that I know better, I am grateful to make its acquaintance as the staff, like the pastries they offer, are sweet and make you feel good about the day ahead of you.
With a unique cake (chocolate chai) ordered for an upcoming anniversary, I am indebted to the staff for making it possible despite the holiday it falls on and for working with me on customizing the size for the occasion. I'm excited to see how it turns out but in the meantime, I'll have to be patient and settle on trying a pastry or two.
So far, I have had their marble cake and it was more than up to my standards as it had the ability to make a day like laundry day less dull.
At the top of my list of things I would like to try from them, I have my eye on something from their café menu such as the spicy hot chocolate. I guess I'll have to save it for another visit!
