I wobbled into Patisserie Che Churro needing some sugar, carbohydrates, caffeine, and warmth. A kind and patient Argentinian genteman was there whose genuine good manners and welcoming kindness cheered me instantly. (Plus, he had Mafalda on his apron!)
Another patron was there who encouraged me to try their tamales, which are not like Mexican tamales, so of course I needed to buy three.
I had planned to scurry away with an empanada but remained to munch it with a short coffee and listen to some other clients discussing their futures. When i finally paid and left, I walked out with a warm belly, three tamales, and a box of Spanish polvorones.
I could not recommend this shop more; i hope he remains in business for many years to come. Thank you Patisserie Che Churro!
