We had a wonderful experience today with the tea service. I have been awaiting the ability to enjoy their tea service in the shop as it used to only be for pickup. The price is very reasonable and the quality of the offerings is very high. They provided quite a bit of food and the staff were kind, attentive and helpful despite a busy Sunday in the cafe. It was easy to book and pay via email correspondence. Highly recommended!

This place was amazing! The food, pastries and coffees were outstanding. If you’re in the area, this is a must visit!

Google
I absolutely love this coffee shop! The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, perfect for working, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment with a great cup of coffee. Every drink is crafted with care — you can taste the quality and passion in every sip. The staff is friendly, professional, and always welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. Their pastries are fresh and delicious, and the presentation is always on point. It’s no surprise this place has become such a local favorite — they truly deserve all their success! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates good coffee and good vibes.

Google
While the savoury items and baked goods taste good, the service is poor. We ordered 2 food items and 2 coffees. The food items came out 5 mins before the coffee and then there was a 15 minute gap between the 2 coffees being served. All the food and the first coffee was cold by then making it a terrible experience for getting coffee together.

Google
We travel a half hour to coralie as they closed the downtown location we used to frequent, Nathan is always warm and accommodating. He always gets our order correct and asks if we need it warmed up on chilly days etc. Good customer service is increasingly rare. Kindness and a buttered croissant is worth the trip.

Little French jewel 👌 best pâtissière ♥️ délicieuse croissant 🥐 and best baguette 🥖 as good as in Paris. Great service. Please leave some time for your order, not a place of you are in a hurry. I went there yesterday and back today. Stephan was great 🙏 this is a must when you are in Chicago👌👌👌

2025 Update: We love Patisserie Coralie and have introduced it to friends who work at Northwestern. Since the Advent of COVID world with my health concerns, we haven't been able to enjoy tea service. We were so excited to see that they have tea service for takeout and delivery. We got out our china and tower and had a wonderful tea service. We highly recommend getting the tea. (I should have ordered some macarons to brighten the tower, but I thought I had read they came with the service.) First review----Stopped in for a drink and croissants to go. Lovely display, queer affirming signage and pleasant staff. Sat outside like we were in Paris.

Google
I heard that the desserts here are delicious, so I ordered almost all kinds of desserts, from eclairs to quiches and macarons. Personally, the most delicious was the quiche. I ate it while still admiring it. The macarons and eclairs were also good, but maybe because I was expecting too much, I felt they were average, and the quiche really exceeded my expectations. I want to come back next time and try other kinds. The atmosphere and interior are so pretty, so it's good to go with friends or go on a date.

Yelp
Came here for a quick bite! The atmosphere was amazing, with posh couches, high ceiling chandeliers and vibey french music they had a great drinks and pastries selection but on the expensive side!

Yelp
here's what you need to know: this is an Evanston institution. lovely, cozy ambiance and polite service. the croissants and other goods in the case were overbaked and browned and generally not in the same class as what good Chicagoland French bakeries offer, so I likely won't be ordering those again. cortado was enjoyable and the espresso they use is nice, and have a bright finish to it (not caramelly). I enjoyed our experience with the service and ambiance of the cafe and will return if I'm in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I pass this cute little cafe every time I go to work so I decided to check it out and finish some work there. While this is a very cute and unique cafe and the staff is kind, I was not very impressed. The ham and cheese croissant was ok but i could not get past two spoons of the tomato soup. The wifi was also not working at that time, so I wasn't able to get any work done. Regardless, I would come again for a cup of coffee with a friend as I did enjoy the ambiance.

Yelp
Service was prompt and my quiche was very good! Lovely decor and comfortable surroundings. Will definitely return!

Yelp
TIL that Hewn doesn't make baguettes on Sunday! But I was making spaghetti bolognese and I really wanted to have some garlic bread to go along with it so I made my way over to Patisserie Coralie in hopes they'd have one. Unless they had some in the back I got one of their last remaining loaves, whew! The bread was good so I'm glad to have a go-to place to find baguette since it also seems hard to find in the grocery on Sunday too. This is a really cute little cafe. Inside it is v e r y tight. But it's cozy if you're having a party and coffee with your friends. They also have a lot of seating outside and I'm sure that it's quite pleasant when the weather is nice. I grabbed an apple pastry whilst I was here and it was so, so good. The apple tasted fresh! It was flaky just like a laminated pastry should be, and just the sort of thing I'd expect to find on a French patisserie. Parking is going to be a frustration here, almost certainly. I got lucky finding a spot on Chicago across the street but it was the only one that I saw. But this is in downtown Evanston and there's a parking garage down the street, plus CTA relativity nearby.

Yelp
Ordered quiche that was ICE COLD in the middle so they re-zapped it in the microwave. They wouldn't do that in France. ICK. Really bad experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Great French little bakery in the heart of Evanston! Loved the croissants and the great coffee. It's a little piece of Paris in Chicago! I did gave m'y music list to Nathan that is an amazing host ! Makes you feel part of the family. Hopefully he will just adjust a little bit the music to a more French classic Paris style and voilà !! Congratulations on this beautiful place :-)

Yelp
This is by far one of the cutest French bakeries in the area! I nanny in Evanston and walk to Coralie once a week with my three year old friend. We are determined to try all of the macaroon flavors :) The workers are so friendly, and the atmosphere offers a very peaceful and chill vibe. We enjoy their outdoor seating options!
google avatar

Olivia A.

Yelp
I always enjoy my experience when I go to Coralie. The only downside is the limited seating inside. We also didn't have wifi when I visited so I ended up taking my food to go. I really enjoyed my sandwich though. I got the ham and cheese baguette which was really flavorful and filling. I've gotten this sandwich so many times and I never get tired of it. I think the food is worth it even if you have to take it to go.

Yelp
Located in the heart of downtown Evanston, Patisserie Caroline is a French cafe. Offering items from traditional French pastries, coffees, and decor. We came in on a Sunday afternoon for a pick me up while out and about. We decided to to try the quiche Lorraine and the quiche tomato basil. The flavors were delicious and the crust was super flaky. The only downfall we had was that it was still frozen/super cold inside. The quiche Lorraine was a a great savory, traditional breakfast quiche. While the tomato basil one tasted like pizza.

Yelp
Every time I'm in downtown Evanston, I make it a point to pop in and pick up a couple of butter croissants, Kouign-amanns, and a baguette. I love their food, but seating comes at a premium, as my wife and I found out when we stopped in for coffee and pastries. It's much easier for me to order and bug out with my quarry.
google avatar

Yelp
I am shocked i haven't left a review yet. This is literally my favorite place when I want an authentic taste of Paris. The coffee is always delicious but could be hotter. The macarons are the star! So incredibly delicious. The sandwiches are great. And the pastries are always decadent and delicious. The vide is quaint- in the warmer seasons they have outdoor seating. Cute little gifts and candies that come straight from France. The service is usually great. I love it here so much!!
google avatar

Bob P.

Yelp
Completely awesome French bakery. Pastries, desserts, coffee and a fantastic ambiance. Really comfortable and quaint seating / dining area. I will be here every morning.
google avatar

Frank T.

Yelp
I dropped in to compare their croissant with the Bennisons. I picked up the almond croissant and the ham and cheese croissants. These ham and cheese croissant are much better. The almond croissant are fabulous. IMHO. Not too sweet flacky, lots of almonds.
google avatar

Carolyn E.

Yelp
I only had a latte, but it was perfect. Their bakery items look scrumptious and their little dining areas inside and outside are both really cute. If you're staying at the Hyatt House and get tired of regular coffee or the breakfast buffet, just walk across the street! I will look forward to coming here every time I visit.

Yelp
Wow found this place on a whim while briefly visiting Evanston and now I have a legit reason to come back to Evanston. Chocolate croissants: buttery, sweet, and addictive 5/5 Macaroons: flavorful (so many fun flavors) and delicious, but also very delicate. Be careful in transport! 5/5 Quiche/egg tarte: ratatouille! Omg! I want these for the rest of my life 5/5

Yelp
Love this Evanston patisserie for exquisite pastries, coffees and ambience. Try a tea party for someone special. I did this with my 5 sisters for our mom for her birthday. Although she is no longer with us I occasion Coralie for sweet memories

Yelp
Gone here twice based on Website posted hours and both times the bakery was closed early. Please change your website! #frustrated

Yelp
Each time I visit my friend in Evanston I try to check out a place I've never visited before. On this visit we checked out Patisserie Coralie. Small, cozy and charming; I fell in love as I walked in. I felt like I was suddenly in Paris! The kitchy kitchen decor fit the room perfectly. They made great use of this tiny spot, and offered a ton of seating options. We chose a small table and were very comfortable. My friend and I both tried a vegetable quiche that was decadent and delicious. It was so good my friend said she was tempted to get another! Our lattes were a perfect partner to our meals. We ended up being too full for a sweet pastry finish. Service was swift and and friendly. They were busy but I did not feel rushed. The woman who assisted us was very kind and helpful. I will definitely stop by again for a sweet treat!

Yelp
This is a great local spot with an amazing atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food menu is also great and it is a wonderful place to to grab a bite to eat and sit outside with friends during the summer.

Yelp
We walked in early on a Monday morning for some pastries.. the cafe itself is pretty cute and definitely plays well for its French roots. We ordered the leek pastry and the almond croissant. The leek pastry was a 7/10, but we really loved the almond croissant. The inside almond paste was super flavorful and they definitely didn't skimp on the slivered almonds on the top. Overall, the cafe is a bit pricey for a college town, but it's a great spot if you want a sweet treat.
google avatar

Claire L.

Yelp
Love the French pastries here at Patisserie Coralie! There is such a wide selection of tarts, croissants, and other pastries (both sweet and savory), and all the ones I have tried have been great, such as the almondine tart, the leek and parmesean chausson, and the smoked salmon/spinach quiche. The vibe and atmosphere inside the patisserie is so French, with French music playing in the background to the French flags and other themed decor all throughout the cafe. The prices are a little on the higher end, but that is to be expected for these types of French pastries. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
I love this place!! They have coffee and espresso drinks, including lattes made with oat milk which I ordered and enjoyed. Nate and I also had a warmed up mixed berry pastry and a croissant. Both were delicious. Next time I want to try the veggie quiche and/or the chocolate almond croissants! The inside is a bit crowded but feels very "cafe in France". I wouldn't make this a study spot, but it's great for a meet up and hang out. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
It's a pretty cute cafe! I tried the ham and cheese croissant sandwich and it was pretty good. Nothing to write home about but it was a solid experience. Ambiance is cute, it's like a little Parisian cafe.
google avatar

Ranjini S.

Yelp
Cute little French cafe. We walked by it on our way to lunch so I wanted to swing through on the way back for a little dessert. They didn't have a lot of things to select from compared to other patisseries I've been to, but they had plenty of macarons in different flavors. Not one of my favorite things but they had a tiramisu flavored one so I gave it a try. It was really good, but a little too sweet for me. I also snagged a pain aux raisins, but it felt a little dry (probably because we were getting it so late in the day if it was prepped in the morning). A little pricy but it's on par with other patisseries in big cities.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall: Given the ambiance I expected great flavors, but was unfortunately left disappointed and with a hefty bill. The good: The bread for the prosciutto and brie sandwich was everything you'd expect from a patisserie, and the ambience matches that expectation as well. There isn't a ton of seating, but that's almost a good thing. There's a decent amount of sweets and drinks to choose from. The not-so-good: The food as a whole was disappointing. The prosciutto and brie sandwich had minimal amounts of either, and it was hardly worth $8 (not to mention the sandwich itself was tiny). The "Paris on my lips" did not match the description at all and was a waste. There were no lime zest or mint tastes at all, the strawberry confit was minimal at best, and the whole thing just felt like eating icing off a wedding cake (which I'm not against, but that's not what I ordered for $7). Food: 5/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 7/10

Yelp
This is the most adorable French café. The coffee selection is amazing and the pastries. Oh my. Had the truffled spinach and mushroom Croque and it was delicious. The café is full of little couches and seating areas that are just adorable. Also filled with all kinds of French knickknacks and French food items for sale. (everything was 99% perfect- The only thing that would make this place perfect would be real cups and saucers for dining in and alleviating a dollar charge for a non-dairy alternative. Even though the menu listed non-dairy alternative milks as being additional $.65, I was charged a dollar and when I asked about it they said it was because it was an extra charge "to be able to offer it." Why are lactose intolerant peeps always punished? I think the people that still use dairy products that are harmful to animals, our health and the environment are the ones that should be charged an extra dollar! ) But I did love this place and it says there is one in the Chicago loop and I can't wait to try that one out as well.

Yelp
A cute little coffee and tea shop with a bakery. They had a variety of small quiches, croissants, and pastries. There were several nutella itema, their special of the month. Tried a nutella sandwich cookie and it was sweet and loaded with nutella. A cute shop for a sweet treat.
google avatar

Yelp
Doesn't answer phone nor adhere to posted hours. Showed up 30 minutes before they closed and there was a woman inside counting the drawer with the door locked, yet there was a full case of pastries. Tried called phone and knocked on the door and she completely ignored me. Very disappointed.

Yelp
After binge watching The Mandolorian recently, of course I had to step out & grab some macarons. If it's good for baby Yoda, I'm sure I'll enjoy it, right? A short search brought me here on a Sunday morning. I loved the decor, appreciated the selection of sweet & savory fare, & decided on a combination of 6 macarons. I also couldn't pass up a chocolate croissant. Service was quick & friendly. After a day of errands, I finally got to enjoy my purchase & I couldn't have been more delighted. I'm definitely adding this to my list of places I'll frequent, even more so when I want a sweet treat.
google avatar

Shelby F.

Yelp
What a lovely little shop! I stopped in on a whim to see if they had anything gluten free. (I'm often let down when it comes to pastries.) Sure enough they did! A sweet and lightly crunchy cocoa crème that felt like an upscale Oreo. Service was friendly and welcome. Will definitely be stopping back in for some GF macarons!
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
Loved the pastry selection and the French vibes of this Evanston coffee shop, definitely would come again and maybe try out their high tea. One thing was I thought the Cappuccino would come with latte art but it was in your usual Starbucks cup but otherwise pretty good

Carol H.

Yelp
Coffee, pastries, French breakfast entrees never disappoint. Fresh and fun place to hang out and enjoy a croissant, macarons and a chocolate chair on a cold morning. Great carry out breakfast if you are staying at the Graduate Hotel around the corner!

Yelp
Patisserie Coralie is a small cafe that offers traditional French pastries, macarons, cookies, candies, as well as hot and cold beverages. A friend and I met here for a mini get-together, and we ordered a drip coffee, a chai latte, a tomato & basil quiche, and a ham & cheese croissant. The drinks were strong and tasty! However, there was a huge hiccup in which our food items were forgotten; after reminding the staff several times, we finally received each item separately. We did mention to the cashier that we were dining in, but the items still came in a box/bag. It was very unfortunately, because my friend did enjoy the quiche, and I thought the ham and cheese croissant was well-toasted and tasty - great amount of ham, cheese, and the croissant was nice and buttery! The cafe itself is cute, with a handful of seating. The table surfaces and the floor do need to be swept and cleaned, as there were spills, sticky-ness, and crumbs all of the floor. Their seasonal menu seems to be popular, especially their pastries and their pies. Metered parking around Davis. +missing/forgotten orders T___T +tasty drinks! +delicious croissants! +metered parking on Davis

Francie F.

Yelp
I've been a here about. 1/2 dozen times, everything is always good. Today they had Kougin Amann for a special, I was so glad I got it. It was the best one I've had since I visited Arsicault Bakery in San Francisco. Please put these delicious bites of butter and sugar on the menu

Yelp
Patisserie Coralie is the first café/restaurant I visited in Evanston after moving here so it holds a place near and dear to my heart. All biases aside, I think it is objectively wonderful and I would recommend it for all occasions. An unapologetically French café, Coralie is full of delightful smells and sensations and there is really something for everyone here. There is a wide selection of pastries and desserts here that are just as fun to look at as to eat. The macarons here make for a great gift and will give your loved ones the impression that you traveled far and wide to seek out these decadent treats for them. Personally, I don't have much of a sweet tooth. Luckily for me, the savory options here are just as good. I have personally ordered the Ham & Cheese croissant no less than 20 times, which is just as good of a value as it is tasty (it comes with generous portions of ham and cheese in a flaky croissant topped with béchamel sauce - this isn't your mother's Ham & Cheese sandwich). The quiches are also super tasty and come in several interesting flavors. I have also tried the Soup of the Day on various occasions and I have always been a fan. Beverage-wise, I like to order the cafe miel - a latte with honey sprinkled with cinnamon. This is the café that introduced me to this drink and now I am obsessed with it. It is off the menu now but they can still make it if you ask. However, I really have never had any issues with any of the hot drinks here (I do wish their cold brew were slightly cheaper).

Yelp
Walking into Patisserie Coralie transports you to a l bakery in the heart of France! Service was great and staff was beyond kind. The selection of pastries is extensive and very fun. The food itself is beyond expectations and tastes delicious. Good espresso, too. Great spot in Evanston!

Yelp
Beautiful, spacious corner shop located between Chicago Ave and Davis. I walked in completely in awe because it's my dream bakery. Soft hues of pink and gold, a large display case of baked goods and bread, and the heavy scent of freshly brewed coffee. I was in heaven. I decided to get two small, but pricey, treats. The champagne macaron was the best I've ever had. Completely fresh and actually tasting like champagne (a rarity!) for only $2! The chocolate eclair was also insanely delicious. Strong pastry shell, thick mouse-like cream and an edible gold topping for $6. I wish it had an upper pastry shell instead of just a base pastry, because although the mousse and presentation were out of his world, it needed that other pastry to balance the sweetness. I'm super sad this adorable cafe is so far away from me, otherwise I would be here daily. Thanks for the Sunday afternoon pick-me-up, Coralie :)

Yelp
Came here on a recent college visit. Cute cafe, pretty busy when we went. Excellent pastries, quiche and sandwiches. Loved the couches and tables seating, I am sure would be a great place to be when it's snowing outside.

Yelp
This cafe with a theme of France and a modern day twist in America is a staple that cannot be missed if you are in the area. You walk into a atmosphere that gives the vibes of a Paris street. The macaroons come in a wide array of flavors and are made fresh daily. The Rose was my favorite and the crepe was soft and not too sweet. The biscuit with peanut butter and chocolate fudge is amazing, the perfect pair if you like both chocolate and peanut butter. It is a must try with rich dark chocolate and gooey peanut butter mixed between a shortbread cookie. The latte was a nice amount of expresso with steamed milk and was not too strong and had a nice and lathery texture. I like the style and French theme here and want to try more soon. Come check it out!

Melanie M.

Yelp
Service is not great. The wait seems unnecessarily long. Staff appeared more interested in catching up behind the counter than moving through the orders expeditiously. I have continually tried this place over the course of several years from pre- Covid to today and expecting to have the customer experience better than what it actually is. I left frustrated by the wait and lack of awareness from the staff. They may say it's supposed to feel like a French cafe experience but speaking from someone who was in Paris this summer, this is no comparison. Food is decent but may not be worth the ridiculous wait times.
google avatar

Don I.

Yelp
If your feeing like an upscale coffee hose experience with french pasties to with it them this is the place for you We enjoyed several different pastries and quiches and found all of them to be really good and of high-quality It's tight in there so I would recommend groups of 2 to 4 people more than that and you may not get seated together Overall I would highly recommend this location and would definitely go there again the next time I'm in the area

Yelp
Patisserie Coralie is a small French bakery in Downtown Evanston. There's cute bistro style seating and WiFi available. It's a pleasant place to have a conversation or work if you don't mind the chatter in the background. On the afternoon I visited my cashier was friendly and patient as I figured out what to order. I ended up getting a croissant and San Pellegrino. The croissant was pretty good, but not the best croissant I've ever had. Patisserie Coralie also has a sister cafe, Cafe Coralie, on Howard. I like that cafe a tad bit better. Both serve the same food and coffees. I believe all the baked goods are made at the Howard. It's a good spot in downtown Evanston for French baked goods. As for coffee I'm not sure. With so many other coffee shops now in downtown Evanston though I would only visit this spot again if I'm in need of a macaroon or croissant!

Teresa D.

Yelp
Great croissants for a crab and go morning The pastries looked amazing. Cute little place to grab a coffee and chat
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
This is a super cute French cafe located in downtown Evanston. The pastries looked really great. They even had free truffle samples at the front. I got the prosciutto and Brie sandwich and I was actually a bit disappointed. It wasn't heated up at all, and the bread was actually rock hard. Even with the knife I had a really difficult time cutting the sandwich. The meat and cheese were good but I gave up halfway. I did arrive late in the afternoon so maybe the bread was stale but at that point they shouldn't serve food like that to customers. The chocolate chip brioche bread was much better. It was very fluffy like a biscuit and was stuffed with chocolate.

Doug A.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and the pastries that I tried were tasty I would recommend the almond chocolate croissant.
google avatar

Cristina C.

Yelp
I've been to both locations and they are both wonderful. If you are looking for that dainty Parisian tea-time feel, this is it. It is quaint and charming. The service is excellent as well. Most importantly, the sweets are spectacular. I haven't tried the food or sandwiches, but I see a lot of people coming by for it so, that could be a good sign. The macarons are amazing, not the best I've ever had but it is better than most. The flavors are great and not too sweet as well. I like that the chefs understand macarons don't have to be overly sweet as long as you have the flavor. I also came for cake tasting for my wedding and it was wonderful. The cakes were great, we really loved the Love at First Bite but we chose a different one for the wedding. So, I will update after pur wedding with pictures!

Yelp
This is a cute patisserie with friendly customer service. The French pastries are competently done, including the almond croissant. Probably dining in with the pastries reheated would have been a better dining experience than a take out box. Clientele seemed to be engaged in deep conversations despite the intimate settings. Friendliest servers - thank you for the courtesy and conversations.
