Best almond croissant in town. Fantastic bread and especially fruit tart or bread pudding which is rear finding nowadays. Service always good all in all excellent neighborhood bakery.

One of the best French bakeries in the city of Montreal open at 7 a.m. buttery croissants great sandwiches their coffee is strong not bitter, clean place good atmosphere, staff is very friendly. A must If your in Montreal if you want a great croissant, without going to France.

OMG, this place has the best pastries!! I was born just outside Montréal but my mother still lives in NDG and everytime I come home, I hit this place and get pastries, quiches of all kinds, chocolates, croissants, cookies and cakes!! I love the semelles aux pommes ( basically an apple tart very thin in the shape of a sole of a shoe, yes, hahaha, but so good!!) Order ahead of time or get there early! Oh yeah, be aware, every great pastry place is closed on Mondays and they take a few weeks off during the summer time...

A delicious option in NDG! Somewhat overpriced, but the quality is really good. The pies are so beautiful as irresistible delicious. Definitely a place to be back.

Great place, but they need to do something about the size of their pastries and how inconsistent it is. $12 for a chocolatine (half the size of a regular one), small almond pastry and a baguette. I expect regular size pastries. It’s been like that a few times lately.

A delightful experience Every Single Time. The chef is French trained (in France!). Thank God they were open during Covid! Our go-to is the Rustic loaf. Treat yourself to a framboise almandine et chocolate. Don’t forget the handmade chocolates.

My friends popped into here based on the google reviews of having a bunch different macaroons. We were disappointed to find the selections significantly diminished and quality drop in comparison. They resemble wrinkled whopper pies instead of the smooth and slightly shiny exterior. Nonetheless, the rest of the bakery made up for it with the various pastries, breads, and chocolate. Staff were also so friendly with packing things carefully and individually. Would come again the next time I'm back in the area!

Charming little patisserie / boulangerie. They have a wide selection -- pastries, small meals (quiches, tarts), bread, hot drinks, and everything I have tried has been fresh and tasty. I was especially impressed by the bread, which was inexpensive for such good quality. What I really enjoy about this place is (pre-COVID) the warm ambience and small tables for sitting for a while with a friend over a hot cup of tea and something delicious and flaky. During the pandemic, I have appreciated their attentive customer service. While I stood looking at pastries while my order was filled, at least three other staff politely and quickly checked to make sure I had been served already. It was a busy day and they did a great job keeping people flowing through, without ever seeming to rush anyone. They also let me use their washroom -- a rare find these days! -- and it was very clean.

Every time I go, I am yet to be disappointed. The best fresh authentic French pastries. I love their almond chocolate and raspberry croissant. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake for my sons birthday, it was the best strawberry Shortcake I have tasted, the macaroons although different than other bakeries were really delicious as well, my son and I really enjoyed them. Highly recommend coming here for cakes, pastries everything.

When everyone other bakery opening up tries to be super trendy and cool, they just keep doing what they do best. Great bread, great pastries and croissants and always with a smile.

In addition to having the best baguette in town they also have a wonderful nut bread, super cute marzipan creatures and, the rascals, delicious home made jam that necessitates the buying of more bread. An additional nice touch is that they have a small selection of yesterday's loaves. Not a lot mind you because there's not a lot of inventory left once the Monkland locusts have done their evening shopping. Sympathetic place for a weekend croissant and coffee. Staff and owner are friendly and welcoming.

Love this place and have been coming for years. Delicious tuna salad, treats (pain au chocolat, etc) and great coffee to boot. Love sitting on the terrace and watching the world go by! Try it / you'll love it. Charming French bakery.

A cute bakeshop on Monkland. And a plus to have a staff that is very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I bought the heart cookies (mind you that I came around Valentine's Day) to munch on while waiting to be seated at Prohibition, which is across the street down the block. The cookies are soft and aren't overly sweet like American cookies. They have subtle flavor and are delicious! They were so good that I ended up coming back after brunch. Guilty pleasures at its best! I love the variety of sweet treats at this shop. They had cookies, petit fours, chocolates, etc. This shop is especially great for special occasions. Gorgeous and delicious! When the owner had found out we were from NYC, she asked, "Don't you have the best of the best there?!" But what she doesn't realize is that it's the small shops that make the best and yes, I consider Patisserie De Nancy one of the best. If only I could bring back this bakeshop to NYC :(

Soooooo good. The almond croissants (pate d'amande) are my favorite. Bread is delish!

We had 2 tourtieres for Christmas Eve - one pork and one venison (deer). These were the best tourtieres our family ever had, and we know our tourtieres. They were tasty, juicy and flavorful. They were worth every penny. Thank you for such wonderful flavors. So happy!

Pretty good service, but I was seriously underwhelmed by their macarons. Point G is wayyyy better and actually cheaper since their macarons are so much larger. I also wasn't a fan of the filling, it was just like a flavored whipped cream that melted way too easily and caused the cookie to slide apart. They were almost completely ruined by the time I got them back to the hotel I was staying at. I also really don't like how they charge by weight, its very inconsistent. On the bright side, the caramel banana macaron had a wonderful flavor and the shop was very picturesque.

I always, always come here when I visit my family in the area. The cases are a joy to look at and the atmosphere is traditional French. With the exception of the beignets (chocolate-pear or apricot) few items are "the best I've ever had" but everything is well prepared and you can be sure it will be good. The galettes des rois are stellar.

The best bakery and patisserie on Monkland. They usually beat the streetside Monkland competition on breads, viennoiseries and patisseries. They also surpass Ben and Jerry's, Grandbois and Yeh in the ice cream/sorbet department. Unfortunately this is only available in the take home variety. Well worth the visit!
