Cute pastries shop~~ It feels like I've found a treasure. If I weren't full, I would have wanted to eat it all." Also, the staff was so friendly and explained all the pastries.

We needed a birthday cake on short notice, and thankfully, Patisserie Too had a 5” mango cake available. They also had a wide variety of personal size cakes in adorable animal themes (rabbit, dog, pig, penguin, and Hello Kitty). Our party really enjoyed the mango cake - it was the perfect sweetness level and full of flavor. Sweet enough to taste like a dessert but not overwhelmingly sugary. I was pleasantly surprised to find a slice of mango inside the cake. The mango texture was a fun contrast to its soft cake-y surroundings. The entire cake sat on top of a cookie base (shortbread cookie?), and the crunchiness of the cookie also enhanced the range of textures in this dessert! The cakes were also well packaged. They taped down the personal size cakes we bought so that they wouldn’t slide around inside the box. This attention to detail and their friendly and helpful service overall made this a really pleasant shopping experience!

Patisserie Too is a new patisserie shop in San Gabriel that has a variety of pastries. The shop was formerly associated with Tony Wong, but it changed its name after they split up. It has a spacious and covered outdoor seating area, which is rare in this area and ideal for bringing your furry friends. The pastries look appealing and colorful, but they are not very flavorful or unique. I tried the mystery cake box, which gives you 4 random cakes and 2 macarons for $29.99. It was a fun way to sample their products, but none of them stood out to me. The cakes were moist and sweet, but bland. The macarons were crunchy and chewy, but forgettable. The only thing I really liked was the green tea latte, which was creamy and refreshing. The staff was friendly and helpful, but that was not enough to make up for the average desserts. It has potential, but it needs to work on its flavors and originality. It’s a decent place to have a dessert and relax, but not a place I would go out of my way to visit.

I love this spacious, modern, clean and well lighted patisserie. The cakes and pastries are edible works of art. We came here after brunch elsewhere and had no room to try the coffee and tea offerings. The pastries we sampled were all light, delicious but not too sweet. The sesame mango lava, the passion fruit macaron and the mango Napoleon were my favorites. The staff were patient and helpful. I think they are used to customers having a difficult time deciding what to order. There’s plenty of outside seating and sufficient parking space.

Lots of variety as long as you come early! Personally I'm a fan of the fruit tarts. Especially the raspberry one! They are a little bit pricey but the taste is great and of course, there's the patisserie name value. Love that they sell Tea Forte teas as well.

Google
Great customer service! The cake turned out beautiful and was perfect! We ordered the smallest size hazelnut crunch cake and it was perfect 5 adults and 2 kids. The ladies working were so kind and sent reminder calls. They also provided a bag with ice packs for the drive. Thank you for the excellent service and cake!

Google
Beautiful interior delicious pastries, and bakery. Reminds me like a Bottega Louie and Michelle was so nice and sincere customer service.

Google
The pastries are good but on the expensive side. We got 4 pastries and two macarons and it was $41. The pastries are about $9-10 each and the macarons are $2 each. They are still doing a soft opening and their grand opening is July 8th. Also if you get two cake pastries you get a hot tea. We got the peach nectar tea and it was really good. I recommend you stop by and try the pastries.

Yelp
Beautiful pastries, gorgeous location, lovely staff - what a find and can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Awesome place love it The price is ok The food is perfect Good place to work and relax

Yelp
Food is okay, nothing spectacular for the prices. It's about $10 for a small pastry and the flavors, texture, taste was not a match. Also the ambiance was lacking for a place that seems to want to look high-end. There was about 2 seats inside and everything else was outside. Outside had some nice decor, but it was way to hot for me. Service was not to up to par for a place that's suppose to be classy. They seemed annoyed at my questions. I was there for the first time, I should be able to ask questions about what I'm buying. It seems that they had events here too so they decorate a little more I think for the events. The most recent one I saw was the Beer and Dumpling festival where this place had some nice decor outside.

Yelp
Food: 3 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 Solid 3 stars! We were at blossom hall and were craving something sweet, and came here. Upon entering we were greeted a warm welcome. The inside space was bright and clean. There were so many beautiful and fun desserts to choose from! The ladies at the counter were really sweet, helpful and very patient with my indecisiveness. I ended up ordering 5 desserts which was a bit much for just my partner and I . They boxed it up quite nicely and then we decided to take a few bites in the outdoor/patio area. The patio area is pretty neat. There's some IG worthy spots and also a few floor games. Would definitely be a fun place to hang out. Unfortunately, the star of the show (the desserts) didn't wow me as much as the rest of the place and customer service did! Perhaps it's the ones I ordered . Still, I would return to try other desserts and drinks because I did enjoy my time here.

Joanne W.

Yelp
A cute patisserie cafe with outdoor seating! The cakes and pastries are about 8-10$ each. They also sell drinks like ice tea, matcha, coffee - we didn't try any drinks though. - chrysanthemum cheesecake: 3/5 strong chrysanthemum flavor, but it did not taste like cheesecake. - chestnut cake: 3/5 has rum in it! Chestnut flavor is good and rich, but there were sour/tart pieces in the cake that I felt took away from the chestnut flavor/tasted out of place (I think the mandarin jelly?). I would like it a lot better without the sour pieces! - mixed berry napoleon: 5/5 one of their signatures! Classic and really good! Berries were ripe and sweet. I really wanted to try their other cheesecakes but they were sold out. We went around 3 pm on a Saturday so might need to go earlier next time.

Yelp
They have the best jasmine tea. I ordered the passion fruit flavor with popping boba. Their pastors pastries are very cute but most of them contain gelatin, not vegetarian or vegan friendly. Very cute shop, have come here 3 times already, will definitely visit again.

Yelp
A much needed upscale dessert shop in the SGV using French techniques with Asian flavors. The desserts are delicious and one of the few in the area at this quality. The first time I went, I preordered a pink signature rose cake for Mother's Day and the fam loved it. They even gave me a bag and little forks for serving with the cake. It was ready on time and pickup was easy. I've also tried some of the single serving desserts, they have great flavors that you can really taste: - pistachio rose mousse: 9.5/10 - black sesame mousse: 9.5/10 - early grey mousse cake: 9/10 - brown bear: 7.5/10 I prefer dark chocolate over milk so find this one slightly too sweet for me, but it's really cute and chocolatey. - strawberry tart: 7.5/10 solid and simple offering, made well - Macarons: 7/10 I tried a few flavors, technique isn't the best but macarons are hard to find in the area and I like the flavors so not docking too much. The staff is nice and there is a small parking lot in the back.

Ivy W.

Yelp
There's a change of ownership so the store has renamed to Patisserie Too. Private parking lot available at the back of the store. Limited indoor seating. Ample outdoor seating. The desserts here are cute but tastes are mediocre. Most desserts require refrigeration so if you plan on buying to-go, then make sure you are stopping by this shop last. Out of all the desserts I've tried, my favorite was the lemon meringue tart. It has a good balance between tartness and sweetness. My least favorite was the pistachios strawberry mousse(?) cake. The white chocolate coating overpowers the pistachio so the balance seems slightly off for my liking. I feel like your experience here will based solely on your choice of dessert/pastry and whether it suits your taste. Not good. Not bad. Just neutral.

Yelp
I only tried the latte and the chrysanthemum dessert. The one shot latte as it comes was so burnt it was not good at all. I am not sure if it's the beans or the pull was too long or the pressure too high but it was not a well pulled shot. Basically tasted bitter and harsh. The chrysanthemum cake was just ok. It had a very slight aroma of the flower. The almond joconde sponge cake was okay and the cream cheese fluffy. Interesting pastry and good looking but I will like to try the other desserts the next time I'm around. Good selection from what I saw. Spacious patio for large groups. The coffee needs improvement.

Yelp
Came in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It was later in the day so some items I wanted to try were sold out, but it encouraged me to branch out and opt for something I normally wouldn't go for. In terms of flavor, I only tried the cool emoji, I thought it was great. Love the passion fruit flavor. I got other goodies, but will not see them today so it's too soon to comment on them. I think artistry alone deserves the recognition, they are beautifully crafted sweet treats. Staff were so helpful in recommending flavors and I just love how bright and vibrant the space is. Definitely plan to go back.

Yelp
Patisserie Too is located across the street from Blossom Market Hall with its own parking lot and has a large (covered) dog friendly outdoor seating. I have actually been to Patisserie Too twice now and surprisingly like this bakery (I wasn't too sure if I was going to like it, especially with the prices). The first time I came was early this month, on a Friday evening. I was looking for some Lunar New Year desserts and saw that Patisserie Too had this cute red lantern dessert with a white lucky cat placed on top. When I had walked in here with my husband, we were greeted by the 2 employees behind the counter. Because I had read from fellow Yelp member's review about the mystery box, I also wanted to get that. I told the employee helping me that I would also like to purchase that. She directed me to the fridge in the corner and suggested I pick a box first and see if the dessert I wanted (The red lantern dessert, which cost $8) is in the box first before purchasing (which I thought made sense and so nice of her to suggest the idea). Unfortunately that dessert was not in my mystery box, but no matter, I still purchased that dessert as well. For my first mystery box, I decided to pick the more expensive one, $29.99 and it came with Pistachio Mousse w/ Strawberry, $9. Mango Coconut, $9, Cat, $9 (such interesting texture added to the outside that mimics fur. The cat itself looks a little creepy to me, lol but it did taste good). Two Macarons, $2 each, Chestnut Dome, $9. I actually liked each of the desserts, as they were not too sweet, but I think the macrons could have been better. The cost of each dessert individually would have came out to $40, which I think is a good value for what I paid. The second mystery box I purchased was this past Friday. There were only the slightly cheaper mystery boxes left, which cost me $19.99. It came with Mixed Berries Napoleon, $9. Sesame Raspberry Napoleon, $9, Two Macarons, $2 each. It also came with some kind of small circular cake with what looks like mango on top of cream (have not had this yet so don't know how it taste). I think if you are not picky and do not have any specific food allergies that would go into sweet baked goods, then purchasing the mystery box is a good deal and fun to see what baked items you may get. And the desserts do taste good the next day (and the day after that). I will definitely be back in the near future.

Yelp
We recently had the desserts again at Patisserie Too (which used to be Patisserie Tony Wong, but changed ownership for a while) in Mission District in San Gabriel. We ordered 4 desserts with a cup of drink for about $37 (about $8 per dessert, slightly cheaper than before). We still liked their desserts but our least favorite was the mango tart. The portion was not big but the presentation was so beautiful. I also liked the outdoor patio area decorated with a lot of fake roses and flowers decor. It was a cute place to hang out with friends and I especially love the location and Mission District so much.

Yelp
A very pleasant surprise to explore this patisserie. They have a variety of choices, very nice design, sophisticated display and very delicious dessert. They are a little pricey at around $8 each but it's worth it. I selected the chestnut, earl grey and the chocolate dessert tarts. The chestnut is rich and it reminded me of the chestnut cake from childhood. The tart had some crispiness at the bottom tart. The earl grey is surprisingly refreshing and a very strong earl grey flavor. It definitely goes well with a cup of tea or coffee. Finally the chocolate tart had the richest taste. There are different layers of texture. The surface layer is sweet and smooth and combining with the cake, the taste blends so harmoniously. Yes. This is a place I'd go for special occasion treats!

Yelp
Great ambiance and great service. Love the cakes and the friendly atmosphere. Very enjoyable

Yelp
Cute little spot if you're looking for a place to catch up with friends. Outdoor seating is quite big and there were a couple heaters but we went during the day and it wasn't cold enough for them to be on. We got the coffee hazelnut macaron tart, a few macarons and the sesame mango lava cake. I didn't like how the tart was stuck to the liner, would've much preferred being able to actually hold the whole thing to bite into, but I guess understand that they don't want it slipping all over the place. Anyway, the coffee hazelnut macaron tart is quite big and can honestly be shared between 2-3 people as it's very rich. The sesame mango lava cake has a great black sesame fragrance and flavor. My little niece finished all the little macarons and she was very happy with all of them. I wanted to try the earl grey mousse cake but they were all out so i guess I'll just have to go back again (:

Yelp
A nice dessert place off of Mission Blvd right across from Blossom hall. There's parking on the streets in the front and they also have parking in their private lot in the back. Ambiance is nice and relaxing. Service was good - friendly, patient, prompt. I love that they give you these cute little ice packs for transporting the delicate cakes. 1. Earl Grey Mousse Cake (4/5) The biscuit on the bottom has a very strong earl grey tea flavor. The mousse cremeux part was very creamy and silky in texture and also had a good earl grey tea flavor to it. The cocoa sponge cake part gave it a bit of spongy texture, but on its own, it did not have a lot of flavor, other than being very slightly bitter. When eaten whole with the bottom cookie-biscuit and the mousse, it's a volume of texture and flavor. The earl grey caramel that comes in a plastic tubing that you squeeze on top did not have any earl grey flavor. To cut on the sugar, I opted not to use this. Plus, it was hard to squeeze out since the caramel hardened from the cold temp. 2. Sesame Mango Lava Cake (4.5/5) Sesame Mousse had a very strong sesame flavor and was light and airy. The only down side is that there is this outer layer of clear glaze-like coating that I dislike because it tastes like wax. The mango gel was sweet, but good. The middle of the cake contains chocolate sponge cake, which compliments the cake well, though the cake itself was a bit on the dry side. Lastly, the cake is topped with a Sesame Crunchy, which is an extra sweet treat. 3. Chestnut Dome (3/5) Chestnut Vermicelli Chantilly Cream- not real noodles, just looks like it in design. Can't taste any chestnut flavor at all. The cream part is not too sweet, which is a plus. Vanilla Spongecake - can't taste it, more for texture Jellified Mandarin - for such a small part in the center of the cake, it gave the bulk of the cake's flavor. A nice citrus burst. Vanilla Creamy Custard - is this the white blob on top?? If so, there's really no flavor at all. More for decorative looks I guess. Sweet Crust - cookie-like for base texture only; no flavor on its own 4. Citrus Bliss Delight (3.75/5) The Vanilla Orange Whipped Ganache on top was quite delicious on its own. When paired with the entire cake, the yuzu curd overpowers it. Below the cookie is the Yuzu Curd with Mandarin Jelly and Almond Orange Sponge Cake in the center. On its own, you can taste the almond, orange cake, which is nice, but together, the cake tasted like oriental yogurt. Like the sesame cake above, this cake also has a layer or clear white jelly on the outside, which ruins the taste/texture -- it's like plastic wax candle. 5. Chrysanthemum Cheesecake (2.5/5) Very subtle flowery note. The cheese part was not very cheesecake like in flavor - more like a pudding-mousse combo texture. The almond joconde spongecake part that surrounded the cheese mousse filling was too hard and dry. 6. Mango Lava Custard Puff (1/5) Unfortunately, this was the worst cream puff I have ever had. It was actually quite unpleasant, almost painful, to eat. The outside has cream with mango jelly which is good in flavor, but made it very messy to eat. The puff shell was way to hard and dry - the worst. The inside of the puff contained minimal vanilla custard. The sweet mango jelly overpowered the vanilla custard. Aside from whole cakes and cake slices, they also serve coffee, tea, macarons, various croissants, Portuguese egg tarts, and soft serve ice cream (flavor varies based on season). I have not tried their croissants, but I did try their ice cream soft serve and Portuguese egg tarts. 1. Portugese Egg Tart (4/5) I love the outside shell, which was very crispy and you can hear the delightful "crunch" with each bite. Minus 1 star because the middle filling was a bit too sweet in my opinion. Texture and overall flavor otherwise is an A+. 2. Soft Serve (3.5/5) For the price of $1, you really can't ask for too much. It's not super creamy, not too sweet, decent flavor. Great experience overall. Expensive place. Definitely a luxury splurge once in a while.

Yelp
Cute little place in on mission (used to be old CPK?) with lots of outdoor seating. This area has a lot of parking along the street + public parking lots. They have a good selection of patisseries - their signature being the napoleons. Their $3 croissants were pretty decent. Macarons were standard - I tried the lemon and earl grey. I also got the mango lava cream puff thing and I was hoping for more cream filling. I think it was expensive for what it was. I do want to go back to get try more things.

Yelp
I happened to discover this place when I went to see a play at San Gabriel Mission Playhouse. It's a hidden gem! At first I thought it was an eating house. When I went inside it was all pastries. The place interior is all white that makes the pastries look attractive and hard to refuse. I bought quite a few different pastries and they were all good. I also bought egg custard and it was mouth watering. Service was good. Staff are friendly. Easy access to parking too. Overall experience ; their pastries are delicious though, they are a little pricey.

Christina F.

Yelp
I tried this place when it was still affiliated with Tony Wong. So idk if the quality or designs have changed since then. But I enjoyed my experience back in the summer when I visited. Everything was as beautiful as it was delicious. Definitely not cheap, but for the service and quality, it was worth it to me. My cousin and I got several things, a raspberry tart, mango tart and chrysanthemum cheesecake. They were all gorgeous, and I was impressed the tart crust didn't get soggy. Nice and crisp. My favorite was the mango tart, the flavor was incredible. Loved the beautiful mango rose on it. Raspberry tart was delicious too, and I liked the chrysanthemum flavor and lightness of the cheesecake. Got to try the ice cream as a freebie since they have freebies or discount stickers on the bottom of each dessert. It's definitely a loss leader ($1 per serving) and nothing special, but acceptable as a freebie. Got matcha vanilla swirl. The staff were informative and attentive. The nice cashier heard I was buying something for my mom but was eating my dessert there first, and offered to keep mom's dessert in the fridge for me until I was done. Very thoughtful, unfortunately I don't remember her name. Young 20 something Asian woman. The napoleon was crispy and delicious according to mom. I only wish there was more indoor seating and a water dispenser inside. They have a huge outdoor seating area, and water dispenser out there, but during the summer heat, it's unpleasant sitting there. Luckily, we snagged the only indoor seating. Definitely interested in going back to treat myself and see what it's like after leaving the Tony Wong brand.

Linda W.

Yelp
Recently picked up four cute desserts. They all average $8-10 per dessert. All items were not too sweet and securely packaged as the workers tape each dessert down into the box. Overall the shop was clean and welcoming.

Yelp
Formerly known as Patisserie Tony Wong, this charming San Gabriel spot now operates as Patisserie Too after a change in partnership. But one thing remains unchanged: the sheer allure of its eye-catching displays of jewel-toned cakes. The hidden gem: a spacious, dog-friendly covered patio. Finding ample outdoor seating in San Gabriel is rare, making Patisserie Too a haven for both pastry lovers and furry companions. Intrigued by the limited-quantity "mystery cake box," we opted for this delightful surprise instead of individual slices. For $29.99, the medium box delivered four random cakes and two macarons, a perfect way to sample their diverse offerings. While most were good and decently moist, they leaned more towards sweetness and crowd-pleasing flavors than the intricate profiles found at high-end dessert shops. The green tea latte was smooth, frothy, and perfectly balanced. Staffs were welcoming and always ready to answer questions. In the end, Patisserie Too offers a charming escape for a sweet treat. While the flavor didn't quite live up to the visual feast, the ambiance, unique mystery box concept, and patio make it a place worth checking out.

Yelp
After seeing all the hype on social media, I had to try this place myself. I ordered the chocolate rose, emoji, chocolate bear and the black sesame. Although I didn't try it myself, I've been told the chocolate rose was really in chocolate flavor and definitely one for those who are die-hard chocolate lovers. The emoji and the chocolate bear both had a soft shall with a soft center. Of the two, I prefer the emoji over the chocolate since the chocolate bear also had a pretty heavy chocolate flavor. The black sesame, was a winner for me, since I'm a big black sesame fan. it also had the soft outer layer similar to the emoji and chocolate bear. Service was excellent and staff were very knowledgeable. Be forewarned and stating the obvious, pricing can be pretty hefty but definitely worth a try!

Yelp
Wow wow wow! My family is constantly on the hunt for good cake. So for my husband's 40th, I thought he deserved a fancy one. I placed an order online for a 6" mango citrus cake and requested it to be ready at 4pm. When I arrived around 4:15, it was ready. The staff put it in a really nice insulated tote and included the plates, forks, and knife. They asked me which candle color I wanted - truth be told they kinda looked the same, but I'm thinking one was gold and the other rose gold? The writing on the chocolate was very nice - I've seen some places where it looked like a toddler wrote the message on the cake lol. I was tempted to get some of their beautiful macarons or other pastries, but decided to save that for another day. The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Parking was easy peasy. The 6" cake was plenty for 4 adults and 2 kids. I had 2 slices but at the end, there was 1 slice left. I took the bullet for the family and ate the last piece heh heh. My husband said he'll definitely be ordering cakes from here now!

Kay L.

Yelp
Cute place and location! There's parking in the back. Tried a few items and to my surprise, they were all really good. Highlights are the brown bear mousse cake and the tiramisu coffee macaron. The white ginger pear tea complimented the desserts nicely. Excited to come back to try more items.

Ana T.

Yelp
I had to come check this place out when I saw the cute patisserie pictures online. They're not cheap, at least $9 each for a small size pastry and $2 each for the macarons, but they're very cute and tasty. They also have tea and other drinks menu. Service was good. I got five pastries, and they put inside a big cake box. Too bad they don't have a box half that height. I will have to come back another time to try the cakes and other pastries. Parking is easy here and not something to worry about. They have some spots in the front of the building and a lot in the back.

Yelp
Pastry Chef Tony Wong has been around the block! In a good way, of course. Lol. After Googling and briefly reading about him, he indeed is an innovative pastry chef whose creativity is off the charts. I agree! I like his creativity and how much time he puts in to create a pastry. I love it! I like his creations so much that it's difficult for me to even stick a fork into the cake. Okay, let's be focused. He recently opened a Patisserie in San Gabriel. The selections I must admit it limited. I understand because of the time it takes for the artwork. Even though I only tried a couple of items, along with a premium blend tea, it's good, but not the greatest, in my opinion. I honestly like his Chocolate Mousse the most. It is very tasty without it being too sweet, nor overwhelming with a dominant chocolate flavor. We paired it with a rose flower tea. The tea flavor was obviously very flowery. Lol. I think it's to cleanse our pallets to make it more enjoyable. Other items we've tried were the Mango Bar pastry, a Chocolate Chip Cookie, and a vanilla swirl ice cream. These items were nothing special, as the Mango Bar is unique but did not knock me off my feet. The cookie was no big deal. The Cookie Monster (ME) enjoys all kinds of cookies with ice cream, which, of course, the ice cream swirl was just alright. Definitely no biggie. We did enjoy the atmosphere, though. One question I couldn't answer was, why did they choose a storefront so big?! This place was an Italian restaurant, if I could remember. So I don't understand... a large place that's only partially used unless they plan for future expansion? The pastries and whatever is served here are more expensive compared to a few of their competitors. Yes, I know of a couple of other places that are even more expensive in the SGV. But I understand the pastry with the artwork should cost more. Other items such as ice cream, cookies, and drinks are not worth it, imo. I'll stick with Rite-Aide. Lol. Anyhow, yes, it was a fun experience the few times I've visited, but it's not my go-to place. Their pastry menu changes, depending on what's made. So keep in mind that something you like might not be available. Nice enjoyable boutique pastry.

Jasmine L.

Yelp
I've come on multiple occasions and tried a majority of their pastries. They are all really high quality but my favorite is the strawberry tart. It has the perfect amount of sweetness and each strawberry is coated in a syrup that's so addicting!! For chocolate lovers, I recommend the chocolate bear or the chocolate rose. My sister loved those and said they tasted like an elevated Ferrero rocher. For seating the have a cute outdoor patio with multiple tables and chairs. The patisserie itself has a very warm and inviting ambiance.

Sam B.

Yelp
Beautiful presentation but other than the dessert aesthetics, there was nothing else to warrant the high price tag. The desserts were fine but nothing I tried blew me away or left a lasting impression. Given how overpriced the desserts are here, I really don't have any inclination to return. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.

Iris L.

Yelp
I happened to stumble upon this place while I was scrolling through Yelp. With the attractive presentation and good reviews of fellow yelpers, I decided to give it a try. It's a nice clean cafe. There's a display of mouth watering desert on the display. I decided to get the mango coconut like most people suggested. It has a nice texture, not overly sweet. I have to say, it's quite small for a $10 dessert. I almost feel like it tastes the same as mango mousse cake from Porto's, which cost half the price. If I happened to be in the area and in the mood for some French looking dessert with a really bad craving, I might come back?

Joyce L.

Yelp
We stumble upon this bakery while traveling in LA. There wasn't much open around 8pm, so found this place and decided to give it a try. We tried 3 things: mango coconut cake, the bear chocolate mousse cake and cheesecake. All of them were good, but my personal favorite was the mango coconut cake. Typically I'm a chocolate cake fan, but this time, to my surprise, the mango coconut cake was better than the chocolate bear cake. All of their cakes look so beautiful, and I can't wait to come back later to try other cakes!

Janet K.

Yelp
I'm a huge dessert girlie and this spot fulfilled my sugar craving! These are delicious delicate pastries and yummy drinks. There was a line but it went by pretty fast and I was able to get everything I want without them running out! These are great gifts to give~ nice spacious outdoor seating area was a nice touch.

Yuk N.

Yelp
I think the egg tarts are very good. Would recommend buying them. I buy a dozen every time.

Julia H.

Yelp
Came during Grand Opening 1. Mixed berry napoleon: 3.5 2. Pistachio and strawberry mousse: 3.25 3. Raspberry and lychee tart: 3.5 4. Double cheese: 3.25 5. Chestnut dome: 3 6. Sesame mango lava: 3 Staff was helpful and efficient. The store has a chic elegant look that matched the look of the desserts. Overall the best thing was the presentation of the cakes. I like how they are not too sweet but taste was only okay. I was hoping the flavors would be stronger. There wasn't anything that would get me to come all the way out here again.

Yelp
Located near by the San Gabriel Mission, they do have their own parking lot in rear. It's a place you would try once and that's about it. For the price they are charging there was no wow factor to their "pastries". All their mousse cakes share the same cookie underneath that its sits on top of which was a plain butter cookie. Most of the options there are mousse cakes and some of them were fruit tarts. I did not try any of their fruit tarts, I couldn't see myself paying $9 for a mini fruit tart. All of the ones I ordered were quite mild in flavor, not too sweet which is nice. Cool Emoji was nice. You can taste a hint of the tangy passion fruit curd paired with a mildly sweet white chocolate mousse. Pistachio& Strawberry was my favorite. Bits of crushed pistachio on the outer shell gave the entire mousse cake some texture. The strawberry cremeux had the texture of a creamy smooth fluffy chocolate in a good way. I did not like Chestnut Dome at all. It was extremely grainy compared to the other ones I had ordered. Steer away from this one if you do not like grainy textures. It seemed flavorless. If I wasn't told what flavor it is, I wouldn't be able to guess.

Yelp
My foodie friend introduced me to Patisserie Tony Wong a few months ago. It was the most amazing dark chocolate moose with a hint of hazelnut plus a sweet crispy bottom layer. Words can't describe the mixture and the texture of the smooth dark chocolate moose (bitter sweet) and the crispy layer (sweet). It was heavenly! The black sesame moose cake was also unique. These two flavors are my favorites. Although they are a bit pricy, the presentation and the taste are just amazing.

Yelp
Wow just wow!!! We were on a food trip so we really didn't have my room for all the cakes we saw here. If we did I would have had more than just 2! We tried the double cheese and chestnut dome! Amazing! The cheesecake was Not too sweet but was rich and creamy. Chestnut dome was great if u love the Asian chestnut cake. I love how the cakes are super sweet, but rich and flavorful. They were $9 each for a tiny cake, but it's worth every penny! Service was good. They now have buy 2 get a hot tea for free. U actually get to choose from a variety of organic tea! I also got a few macarons. Again, wished I had gotten more. They were only $2 each. In San Diego, where I live, it's over $3 and they aren't as good as the ones I got here! Wished I lived closer but unfortunately I don't!

Yelp
Got the cool emoji (passion fruit filling) and the hazelnut napoleon--both were yummy and not too sweet! Also everything looked really nice. Store associate was very considerate in giving us an ice pack since we were driving from further away. Only complaint is all the items were pretty pricey. But I'd be down to try out more things from here.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this bakery so I stopped by to pick up a few goodies for my coworker's birthday. They have their own parking structure or there are tons of street parking nearby. Their pastries look so elegant. I was searching for slices of cake but what they had were their cake slices. There was a large variety but the prices were quite expensive for what they were offering. Service was friendly and fast. I opted for the pistachio, mango tart and rose cake. The mango tart was delicious. The crumb crust was well packed that it didn't crumble as I was eating it. The pistachio strawberry had like a mousse inside. There was a special where if you purchase 3 cakes, you get either a free hot tea or free soft serve. Their tea came in this cute packaging and they can either brew it for you or you can take it home. The only reason I had ranked them 3 stars is due to price and my cup of tea. I couldn't figure at first why my hands was burning hot and wet as I was walking. After a few minutes, I figured out that my cup was leaking which melted a portion of the lid causing it to leak. I had to pour it in a separate cup to enjoy it. The tea had good quality to it which I liked.

Yelp
If you're looking for some elegant, flavorful cakes... you've found the right place! All the cakes are so rich & creamy! Service was great. The inside is a little small but the outside has patio sitting that is spacious. I would recommend the mango coconut cake & the pistachio cake. Must try if you're in the area!

Yelp
I heard from few friends about this place, so I gave it a try. We ordered mango coconut and chestnut flavor. The look was cute but taste just ok. Nothing special. Service was ok as well.

Yelp
Yumm... This place popped up when I was browsing Yelp. Sadly, it was almost closing time, so not many choices left. Got 2 cakes and was given a free tea. I got the truffle chocolate and mango coconut cake. At first, I thought the chocolate truffle cake was good. It was not so sweet. The truffle chocolate was strong but not bitter. When I got home, I tried the mango coconut. Haha, this one was even better than the chocolate. Like wahhh...it was packed with mango and coconut flavors. Fireworks exploding in my mouth jk It was also the perfect amount of sweetness. A few choices of hot tea (tea bag) to choose from. I only remember mango peach and earl Grey lol. I got the mango peach. It smelled so good. Was also minty. Not sure why... I gotta say...people are getting more and more creative. However, the more creative, the more expensive lol Cakes here ain't cheap! $9 for one... Although the cakes were good, I don't think there was much of a difference with other cake shops I have been to. When I crave a fancy cake, I will come here to try the other flavors hehhe

Yelp
Saturday evening, we finished dinner in Alhambra. I saw this pastry place with a banner of their soft opening. The place is Patisserie Tony Wong. It's one block from San Gabriel Valley Medical Center (my former work place). When I walked in, I noticed the croissants. I continued to walk around the showcase. I saw petite cakes and macaroons. I purchased a hazelnut puff and a hazelnut chocolate crunch for my wife. They have a special when you purchase 2 cakes, you get a fresh brew tea. I chose peach mango green tea. I tasted my hazelnut puff. It's nice and light. Not too sweet. DJ's rating: 4.55/5.00 Would I come back? Yes.

Yelp
4 stars instead of 5 because, although excellent, the pastries and desserts by Tony Wong are way too expensive to be good value when compared to my favorite Artelice Pastisserie in Burbank and Sawtelle ($6 mango eclair instead of $9 at Tony's). The almond croissants taste exactly the same from both places. No complaints about quality or the shop itself. Just a bit overpriced with the added 'Celebrity Chef' tax (I assume this is the same Chef Tony who operates the fancy dumpling joint?)

Yelp
Beautiful and very tasty too! I ordered the small rose cake for my friend's birthday. It was raspberry flavor chocolate on the outside and chocolate on the inside... perfect size for two people to share. The craft reflects on the price-- it was $10 for the small cake but well worth it!

Yelp
/)/) ( . .) ( づtried the coconut mango (left) , lychee raspberry (middle) and pistachio raspberry (very right) one. Wouldn't recommend the pistachio one. No taste at all, very light pistachio taste but kinda disappointing because it tastes like nothing. The mango coconut one was my favorite. The mango flavor reminded me of the typical Hongkong mango sago dessert. Very fruity and had that typical Asian mango flavor. The lychee raspberry was also nice. Very light and you were able to taste the lychee. Everything was $9 each. Kinda expensive for that flavor so I wouldn't really recommend it. Not worth the price because it didn't really knock me over. Service was very nice. It's cute little place with outdoor seating but the location was kinda in the middle of nothing.

Yelp
Yum. Beautiful cakes. About 10 each. Kinda pricey but they were both very delicious and interesting. Lots of layering in the cake that is surprising and understandable of the price!

Yelp
Upon entry, the ambiance is so nice and calm. Interior design is so pretty! Its like walking into a cute esthetic italian bakery - upscale in sgv area. There's a side patio to enjoy the pastries and drinks. Theres shade so you wouldn't have to worry about getting burned. The service was great! Staff was super nice and attentive. No complaints. Yes, the pastries is "pricey" for sgv area but honestly it's the same price at other bakeries if you go towards west hollywood area. Overall, i would definitely come back here! I love the napolean cakes! Oh and the sparkling drink tatse5very refreshing as well.

Yelp
Lovely patisserie that opened up in the SGV. I went during the soft opening and I was already impressed. Their cakes looked very delicate and fancy, but was also delicious. The only downside is every item is so expensive, similar pricing to lady m. I personally probably wouldn't order the desserts to go but would definitely stop by to enjoy some coffee and a cake while sitting in their patio.
