Yelp
Amazing everything just perfect ! Local patisserie with lovely women running it . So friendly . Quaint small and Parisian decor . Very cozy on a winter chilly day.

Yelp
This was a spur of the moment find! It's our last day in Paris and we wanted some goodies for the road. We needed a place that was open to look for a specific style/type of pastry and found Pâtisserie Viennoise thanks to Google Maps by just walking around. It's a super cute hole in the wall, literally, because if you step two feet outside the door, you're on a one way street with plenty of cars passing through. The operators were very sweet and you know it's not very commercialized as they didn't speak English too well but were happy to help. We came in for a specific type of pasty, but the smells felt so good that we ended up leaving with a few different items. ALL of them, delicious!

Yelp
One of my fondest memories was going here to meet friends after class! Favorite cafes by far!

Yelp
Pâtisserie Viennoise is a darling French bakery in the St. Germain neighborhood. As soon as we arrived at the bakery and saw the tempting treats in the storefront window we knew we found the perfect spot for breakfast! I discovered this little gem from a Paris blog, Paris by Mouth, http://parisbymouth.com/paris-bakeries. After reading all of the positive Yelp reviews I knew we had to eat here! The employees did not speak much English so we just ordered espresso and pointed to the pastries that we wanted. Despite the language barrier we managed to communicate. After we ordered our food the cashier told us "now you sit down" so we went to the dining room and waited for our coffee and pastries. We ordered a chocolate croissant, a cinnamon raisin bun, and an almond croissant - everything was absolutely wonderful! My sister had a bit of trouble ordering her coffee so here is a cheat sheet if you do not speak French: *Café - Plain, strongly brewed coffee with nothing added; similar to espresso. *Café au lait - Coffee with steamed milk. Usually served in one pot or in the cup with a pitcher of steamed milk to pour in as you please. *Café crème - Coffee served in a large cup with hot cream. *Café Décafféiné - Decaffeinated coffee. You will still need to tell them you want milk (lait) or cream (crème) with your coffee. *Café Noisette - Espresso with a dash of cream in it. It is called "noisette," French for hazelnut, because of the rich, dark color of the coffee. *Café Americain - Filtered coffee, similar to traditional American coffee. *Café Léger - Espresso with double the water.

Yelp
Another serendipity.... Happened to stumble upon this quaint bakery by taking a shortcut down a narrow street in St Germain and made a couple of trips back during my stay. They have the best apple tart that I ever experienced in my life! The carrot cake is also delicious. I wish i could have sampled everything! They also serve sandwiches as well. This is the perfect place to stop by and stock up for a picnic in the Jardin du Luxembourg! Just add wine.......

Yelp
One of the larger bakeries in the central Paris area and one of the better ones. English isn't really spoken here, but that really isn't a concern. The kind and efficient staff go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want. If you have time, take a seat and relax. This place is Paris at it's finest. The staff is kind, the pastries are wonderful and the hot chocolate chaud is amazing.

Yelp
BEST CHOCOLATE CROISSANT in Paris!!!! It's very buttery. =) Flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. I had the last chocolate croissant remaining for the day around 3pm which made me wonder how tasty the pastry would be fresh in the morning! I tried a chocolate croissant from different bakeries during my 5 day stay in Paris and this was definitely the best.

Yelp
Cute cozy place with quick service and delicious high quality pastries. Lots of locals and few tourists. One of my favorite places to go here in Paris.

Yelp
I went here as part of a self-guided hot chocolate tour of paris. I was on a quest to find the best hot chocolate in Paris and the hot chocolate here was the #1 best I found. My criteria for best hot chocolate is: thick, rich, deeply chocolatey, and (most importantly) not very sweet. The place is cute and tucked away.

Yelp
I heard about the hot chocolate on several blogs, and it delivered. While I didn't try any other hot chocolate in Paris, this was amazing. If you have whipped cream on top, it overflows like crazy. And you might not want to try to drink it alone, or with any of the amazing looking pastries. I had to go home and lay down, and I wished I had a chance to go back to try the pastries. As for the hot chocolate, it tastes like you are drinking a melted bittersweet chocolate bar. I probably wouldn't have been able to handle tasting any more hot chocolate. I love chocolate and all but I felt like I overdosed, in a good way. It's very tiny, and don't expect anyone to be able to speak much English to you. Pointing works just fine. If it gets busy, you will be sitting there for some time.

Yelp
The best chocolate chaud I've had in my life. EVERYONE needs to know about this place. Or maybe not. Maybe it's a best kept secret -- regardless - go out of your way to visit this quaint little shop. Nary an English word is spoken here, so practice your French and/or know what to order. Pointing and grunting can get you so far. If you can score a table -- do so and take in the atmosphere. The staff is kind and fast. The pastries are DELICIOUS. But if you don't order the chocolate chaud, you're insane.

Yelp
Maybe it's because I went on a very hot day in Paris, or maybe I'm missing the point; but the chocolat chaud did not impress me _that_ much. The whipped cream was the highlight of the drink, for sure, and yes it was _very_ good, but I can't help but leave thinking that I've had better hot chocolate elsewhere. (elsewhere, being in the states, don't tell the French). Service was on point, and everything else, including light lunch options, looked delicious.

Yelp
Super cute place to get a pastry to go, or to stay. Coffee was better than the usual café coffee. Service was friendly. Lemon poppyseed cake was tasty (though I would have preferred without powdered sugar on top). Great experience. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
The quest to find the best "Hot Chocolate." continues and this is a very different version than the Angelina thick molten indulgence. The chocolate is not sweet, they give you sugar to add to your desired sweetness level, which for many is a real plus. I am a glutton and prefer it to be sweetened to the maximum sugar content available, but it nice to see the subtle delicacy of the chocolate being really represented in this version. You must not miss the the "cream." Hand made daily and not just fresh but as thick as paste with a lightness you need to try to believe. I had to go back a second time because i missed out on this crucial feature on my first visit. Also true to the nature of the ingredients, this cream is not sweetened and mixed well with the hot liquid the creamy texture added an element of bliss not often found in this fairly surprisingly subtle drink. The other beautifully created baked goods look amazing and I am sure they are, but as I am goal driven these trips have been about the liquid and not solids. Be sure to check them out if you want to try an alternative or do not have a sick desire to push sugar thru all arteries.

Yelp
Absolutely the best hidden gem and relic. Wish I could have tried everything. This is an authentic "olde world Pâtisserie ". It most definitely on my itinerary upon my return to Paris. I miss it everyday!!!

Yelp
Not the friendliest place, but a lovely hidden surprise with a delicious assortment of pastries and beverages. Cute and quiet gem to have a seat, read a book, etc.

Yelp
Best chocolat chaud in Paris! But only if you like NON-sweet, dark chocolate. Very rich, creamy and excellent with the creme on top.

Yelp
Glad we found it! Walking distance from our hotel in the Latin Quarter. Agree with a previous review that the staff will help you with choosing your item (even if you don't speak French) because they don't speak English either. Highly recommend the chorizo croissant. Super tasty. Very cute authentic small cafe with a great cafe au lait.

Yelp
this pastry shop was recommended by the walking tour guide of the latin quarter and if a parisian says its good, it warrants a stop on my list!!the chocolate croissant was absolutely delicious and i could have totally had another one!
