Patria Palace (Lecce, Puglia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Patria Palace faces the sculpted façade of Santa Croce, occupying an 18th-century palazzo that’s been reimagined with Belle Époque flair. The recent revamp introduced deco-inspired furnishings and contemporary art without erasing the building’s original character. Rooms on the piano nobile have tall windows and lofty ceilings, while the top-floor suite comes with a private terrace and jet pool. From this central spot, Lecce’s boutiques and cafés are a short walk away, and in summer, the Adriatic is within easy reach thanks to the hotel’s beach shuttle. Breakfast is served to the sound of a live harp or violin." - Tablet Hotels

Wow! Patria Palace is such an amazing hotel. The building and rooms are gorgeous, but what truly made the experience is the staff. They are absolutely wonderful and so very attentive. I wish I could remember everyone's names, but I do remember Asia who helped me when I first checked in. Such a sweet and very knowledgeable staff member. My Italian is lacking to say the least, but their whole team speaks impeccable English. Daily breakfast was gorgeous and delicious. As well, when I was there, during breakfast there was either a violinist or harpist playing. This added so nicely to the exquisite ambiance. I never made it to dinner, but the menu was very inviting. I was able to have cocktails in their beautiful bar, which felt like being in the film, Casablanca. The bartenders were impressive and the stuzzichini were delicious. I do hope to have the chance to return to Patria Palace. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

My wife and I I recently stayed at the Patria Palace Hotel. It's located in the heart of the historical district of Lecce. Our first example of the world class service offered by the hotel was that when we couldn't find our way through the maze of streets, the hotel dispatched someone to come and get us and drive our car to the hotel. The service while there was a perfect blend of personal and professional. Something typically experienced at Four Season's class hotels. The hotel is privately owned and everything is spotless. A great experience.

This hotel was wonderful. From the moment you walk through the doors you are made to feel at home. In our case by Emmanuela settled us in. Every member of staff gave superb, friendly, smiling service. Even the best hotels in Asia would struggle to match this. If I could give six stars to the team I would. The hotel itself is in a perfect central location and you get the fun of driving through the restricted ZTL if you arrive by car. Breakfast was generous with all the options you would expect from a high class hotel. Music was played by a real musician on harp or violin during breakfast which was a lovely touch. The rooftop bar was a delight but you need to book. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and if we get a chance we will return.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Patria Palace. The hotel has all the charm of a boutique property, with comfortable rooms and thoughtful touches throughout. Breakfast is an absolute highlight — not only for the quality and variety of the food, but also for the unforgettable ambiance, accompanied each morning by a live harp performance. The rooftop bar offers a great setting to unwind, but what truly sets this hotel apart is the service. Every member of the team welcomed us with warmth and genuine smiles, making us feel at home from the very first moment. A perfect stay in the heart of Lecce — we’ll definitely be back.

Great location and excellent helpful staff. The breakfast is beyond anything I’ve experienced at other hotels. The room was visually beautiful and spacious but lacked storage space, the ‘wardrobe’ was an open space without doors. First rate bathroom with a walk in shower. We ate at the restaurant where the food was imaginative and delicious- good wine recommendation from the sommelier. We weren’t aware of the need to book for rooftop aperos, and by time we knew it was too late, the bar also closed at 6pm, so could not enjoy an apero at the hotel. It would be helpful for the website to be clearer that the bar has limited opening times and that several days advance reservations are often required to take advantage of the rooftop bar which is listed as a ‘hotel amenity’.

Google
Unbelievable and I’ll be telling my friends. We’ve traveled extensively around the world ( except USA) and this place is the best. We’ve never had such great friendly service anywhere ( must have been the free glass of Prosecco on arrival… lol. No Alessia is an absolute gem as was all the staff and the extra touches( like violin and harp at breakfast was a special treat. I can’t rate this establishment any higher.. should be ten stars

Google
A brilliant hotel in every way. The staff are wonderful and willing to help on all occasions whatever your needs. It is a bit of a nightmare to find because of its location in the old city but once there, you are ideally located to visit major sites. The room was spotlessly clean with a great bed and an adequate, if a little small, bathroom. Super breakfast and car parking service - essential in this congested city.

This hotel is a gem, from the moment you walk in to when you leave your are absolutely pampered. Breakfast is a veritable feast for the eyes and soul, with a harpist or violinist to start your day. Service is second to none and it feels as if you are part of a family in the palazzo. Dinner and drinks on the rooftop are something special too. This is a hotel for any occasion, I can’t wait to revisit again.

Yelp
That Lecce is a distinguished and very beautiful city needs no claim from me. The Patria Palace, small grand hotel, old palazzo, with 1930's ocean liner decoration, is quite worthy of it. Comfortable, gracious, and...nice. We got back hungry and ridiculously late for lunch. The closed restaurant made us a fresh minestrone, the best I have ever eaten, and wonderful local cheese to follow. Not huge, but very comfortable rooms. Generous public spaces. In the absolute Center of Lecce's magnificent palaces, public and private, and even more resplendent churches. Lecce was, after all, the star of Sachaverel Sitwell's "Southern Baroque" (c. 1928). There is also a distinguished Medival ghetto, also very close. Stay here!
