"There are of course a multitude of coffee shops throughout Melbourne, but few if any take as much care and consideration to every detail from brewing to design as Patricia does. A standing room only space that welcomes everyone into it's warm and friendly atmosphere, Patricia serves brilliant coffee with none of the unnecessary frills. If you only have one coffee in Melbourne CBD, have it here." - Grosz Co Lab

This is without a doubt one of the most delicious coffees in Melbourne. I love that you have choice between two types of coffee depending on your tastes and also their breads are delicious, I recommend the banana bread. The place is very cool and with a style that only Melbourne has.

Google
Amazing cafe.. Staff are all friendly.. coffee is so delicious.. Although it is pack all the time, atmosphere is warm and welcome. They used the bean from #market lane cofee, which is great taste. No.1 Cafe where we tried in Australia. Strongly recommend.

Google
A stand-up coffee shop, Literally topped every place I've been to in Melbourne, hands down!! And around Australia for that matter bravo 👏 🙌 The coffee was that good, I ordered a takeaway after having one there. The staff were fantastic 👏 👌 Gave me great restaurant tips and places to go and see while here for my travels. They surprised me by letting us try some of the other coffee free of charge! Actual game changer, so good I brought a 250g pack of beans Will definitely go back every time I'm in Melbourne

Google
It was not a big store, so it was crowded, but I like the cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the sparkling water while waiting for my coffee. There was only one size of coffee and three types available, but it was truly delicious as the aroma and taste complemented each other well. However, I wish there were more varieties. I would like to recommend this place to people seeking a unique drink experience

Google
I Googled Best Coffee in Melbourne and this was the first that popped up. Service was excellent. They offer sparkling water as you come in. I had the canelé which was nice and fresh and tried both the filtered coffee and white coffee. Coffee was amazing. If I live in Melbourne, I would go here everyday.

Google
At first the place is hard to find it’s in the rare of the buildings. It’s very popular like always packed. Good service and deco is chic and leather aprons. The menu is very simple: white, black and filter. The taste is good but below my expectations. The pastry is pricey like croquette is $9.

Google
Best espresso coffee I've ever had. Also sparkling water... Food is also really nice only issue it can be kinda crowded since it's very popular. I recommend going early or getting takeaway.

One of the best thing about Melbourne is amazing coffee Patricia offers. It is just another level of roasting. Love the vibe, service and the high quality of coffee tasting. Thanks guys 😊

Yelp
This cafe is a rare gem. At first blush it feels like a trendy spot to get an Instagram worthy coffee photo, and the long line would support that assessment...but it is so much more. This intimate (in space) cafe truly is intimate. The staff are personable and warm EVEN WITH a long line out the door. They take the time to connect with each customer and put forth the effort not just in the craft of making great coffee but in the craft of superb customer service. Their coffee is also approachable, while still being decidedly 3rd wave and elevated. Their menu is purposefully small to ensure quality, no need for tasting notes or much faffing about selecting your drink. They keep it simple and keep it good. This allows them to delivery dialed in espressos and filter coffee with precision. So go here and take your Instagram photos, but also take a moment to enjoy the little magic of human connection that isn't officially on the menu but is certainly their secret ingredient.

Yelp
Coffee Culture in Melbourne is exceptional and Patricia delivers, being named the Best Coffee in Australia! The place is booming even early morning, where both locals grabbing the best coffee in town, as well as, curious visitors come to explore this special experience. The hole-in-the-wall style coffee shop is unassuming, quaint and rather charming. The staff is always busy and trying to keep the long lines moving while making sure to provide excellent service throughout. Patricia roasts their own beans and deliver consistent, high quality results every time. While you are there, don't forget to grab canelés! I would highly recommend you grab some of their beans to go - both for gifts for the coffee lovers in your life, as well as, for yourselves when you are back home and missing Patricia.

Yelp
An awesome flat white with oat for a reasonable price? Count me in! It's a simple menu, designed to keep the guesswork out--do you want milk or without? Or a pour over? Oat only was .30 more. So nice when all around it's been upwards to $1 extra. Unfortunately they don't take the care in pouring art when doing takeaway. Note to all--have it there, save a paper cup, enjoy art and the scene.

Yelp
Patricia's has maintained a true hole-in-the-wall experience in the middle of Melbourne's busy coffee scene! The prices and coffee quality are great, and I loved the simplicity of the menu. This is a great place for a grab-and-go snack or drink. There's some makeshift seating outside the cafe (carts, boxes, and one bench), but there's only standing room inside. The menu is small and simple.. white, black, and a filter. We ordered the white and black and both were pretty strong with nutty flavors. We also got a hazelnut cake, which was much more dense and thick than I was expecting. This was also far too sweet for me on its own, but it was a nice contrast with unsweetened coffee.

Ruth H.

Yelp
This is definitely the best coffee shop in Australia. I love this place where they know you by your name and the coffee is accurately professionally made.

Michael H.

Yelp
What an amazing place! Great coffee. Great service. Enjoyed the unique atmosphere. They have great pastries.

Eri L.

Yelp
Melbourne is well known for it's coffee culture, and given all the rave reviews for Patricia's, I knew I had to check it out. I tried a flat white with the house blend and it was absolutely delicious- the cup was robust and creamy, with strong notes of dark chocolate. Though there is often a line here, it moves very quickly and the staff offers still or sparkling water while you wait (~ 5 minutes after placing your order). There is minimal space inside the shop but there are multiple milk crates outside too for makeshift seating.

Rita K.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this coffee shop! This was recommended to me by my cousin from Melbourne, who roasts his own coffee and is very particular which coffee shop he goes to. It's not hard to find and located close to Chinatown. Small shop but plenty of workers preparing cups of heaven quickly. We ordered at the front a flat white and husband got his substituted with oat milk. They also had coffee beans for sale for a reasonable price, so I got one as a gift. Once we got our coffees, that first sip was heaven. Perfect taste, the coffee tastes almost chocolate like and wasn't sour. Exactly my favorite type of coffee to drink. It woke me up for the next few hours! There were tons of crates to sit on outside with art work on the walls. Lovely spot to grab a cup and enjoy people watching. Service was really friendly, especially towards tourists with lots of questions. Love how patient they were and didn't seem irritated when I had no clue how to buy coffee beans for a friend.

Yelp
My absolute favorite coffee spot in Melbourne! It's located in a tiny alley and the staff are incredibly welcoming. After ordering our drinks, we were offered sparkling water- even those in the party who didn't order anything! Apparently iced coffee with ice cream is a thing in Melbourne? I've heard of affogatos before, but not iced coffee with ice cream! It's actually quite genius. We tried literally everything that was offered: flat whites/lattes, americanos, iced coffee with ice cream, affogato, filtered, etc. We basically came every day we were there. The pastries offered as also pretty good. My favorite was the poppyseed passionfruit loaf. I only saw it once during all my visits, and was lucky enough to snatch the last one! I also really enjoyed the sea salt chocolate chip cookie. It was chewy in the center with a crunchy surrounding- the perfect texture! If only coffees in the States could compare...I also enjoyed how they offered smaller sizes. Sometimes all I want is a tiny cup of joe, not some crazy venti-sized cup (although Starbucks does offer a short size). Overall, the coffee scene in Australia was amazing. I was more impressed with it than I was in Italy.

Stella K.

Yelp
Hole-in-the-wall, huge lines outside -- I had to try it. Efficient personnel (fast turnaround), interesting selection of sweet treats and coffee coffee coffee. Not much space inside so not a hangout spot. Fun experience... Hint: 'iced white' = iced latte

Lydia K.

Yelp
super duper hip coffee place. All the local people were lined up to get their coffee so I needed to give it a try. This place is sorta hidden. It's in small alley and the door is located in like a small parking lot outside. But you can't miss it because there are tons of people drinking a cup of coffee outside the alley. I realized Melbourne coffee is very simple. Cold or hot. and white, black, or filtered. It was hot outside so i decided to get cold, but I SHOULD HAVE gotten hot to taste the real coffee. (I am a newbie) Melbourne also doesn't have different cup size. Just one size for all. very small which I liked. Price was around 6 dollars. Pretty decent. I would recommend.

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Before covid, this place was packed!!! This little coffee shop is adorable, had a super long line, and amazing coffee and pastries. It's a must visit when in Melbourne.

Yelp
The first sign of a good place are long lines and people hanging about outside while enjoying their coffee. This place has won best coffee in Australia in 2016 as well and the owners were formerly of Seven Seeds. Coffee only comes in three styles--white, black, and filter. My partner and I both ordered the white in the Patricia house blend and were offered water to sip whilst we waited by the very friendly baristas. There's not much room in this cafe. It's designed to be mostly for take away, but there are a scant few bar stools scattered along the walls. Very clean, minimal decor, and the baristas wear very cool leather aprons. Smooth, rich, buttery. Am I talking about coffee or pastries? The first sip was heavenly. Coming from a city not known for having many great coffee haunts, it was like I finally understood how coffee was supposed to taste. It was at the perfect drinkable temperature as well, which is apparently because milk needs to be steamed only up until a certain point before the proteins start breaking down, as I was informed. I didn't even know it was a thing! Thank you, Patricia Coffee, for educating me and giving me an experience in coffee I'll never forget. Coffee is ruined for me after having coffee here. I will be dreaming about this place until my partner and I can return. Even my partner says in all the trips to Melbourne he's made in the past, he's never had such an excellent cup of coffee until now.

Pragya G.

Yelp
Rated as one of the best coffee shops in Melbourne. This is definitely a must try but then totally would depend on your taste and liking. Some people love it, others not so much but for me I dont mind. You wont get all fancy options/ types in coffee. They serve the basic latte, long black and espresso, which keeps it nice and simple. Small shop tucked in corner is always busy.

Yelp
Simplicity done right. Tucked in an alleyway without too much signage, this standing room only cafe gives you three choices for caffeine: have your coffee white, black, or filter with the house blend or rotating/special blend. The white was quite milky but good. Lots of choices for pastries. Ham croissant and mushroom/onion pastry we're both excellent. Staff were very friendly

Yelp
Each time I met someone and would ask which coffee shop should I try a confident name, Patricia would come up. When I'd ask for directions the response would always be an unsure description. So I got curious to meet this Patricia and why is she secretive like me. From the info I gathered it became a bit of a mini Melbourne solve the mystery game for myself. My clues were don't look for a lit up big sign. There's some writing on the wall but it's easily missed. It's a black building. There might be orange crates. There may be a line out the door or people lingering around. And it's just a few blocks from my flat. Ok so I set out with my clues at hand to find Patricia. There's lines everywhere in Melbourne and people linger on every street just about. Then I spotted people sitting on orange crates. They looked like they were just hanging out. Could be workers on a break. Then I noticed black walls. The building is painted a basic black. No art on it. Nothing. Just black. I think I found her. I turned the corner and found a simple door. No big sign and I didn't even see the writing on the wall until I left. It's a take away coffee shop that is standing room only and their menu is straight forward. For those who can't make up their mind. Your choices are White, Black or filtered. I figured if it's a limited menu maybe they're really good at making just the three. I know they use 7 seeds so I know whatever I order is going to taste great. I went with the Iced white coz it was a bit warm the day I came in. Very good choice I'd recommend if you're going to be walking around exploring the CBD. When I walked outside I sat on one of the orange crates and looked up. Then I saw the little writing on the wall. They were right. You'll miss it if you walk by. They have baked goods like pastries and cookies. Nice snack to enjoy the coffee and watch Melbourne walk by. My iced white was a smooth buttery taste. Mel M Yelp 20:26

Yelp
Having Duncan attend to my locks after a number of house moves over many years, I would recommend him - 5 Star without question. Capable, friendly and reliable.

Dominic C.

Yelp
Dear Patricia, you make the best coffee, you know exactly what i want and how i like it. Service overall is offered with a smile behind a mask, with a little extra something ( sparkling water), which makes me feel like i'm back home in Italy. The overall feeling makes it feel like a wonderful secret of a place tucked away down the alley way, with some very interesting art opposite to look at. Just up from hardware lane and the busier streets. Overall came recommended and I can see why. Lots of happy people coming and going. Keep up your wonderful spirit and nature.

Valter N.

Yelp
The coffee is impressive. There is not a big selection (3 options I believe), but that is more than enough. Another thing to highlight is the way you are treated. They greet you from the very start and offer you some water. Overall, incredible experience and coffee!

V C.

Yelp
If good coffee is your top priority, then Patricia will do your cravings justice! A treasure trove hidden in a small laneway of Little Bourke and Little William. Location wise, it was kinda tough to find since there is no signage in front of the store, instead just look for loitering masses outside the shop, sitting on crates, sipping on coffee, or follow the scent of coffee lingering around the venue... and you are at the right spot. Their menu is simple and straightforward; your pick of white or black coffee! I went along with the staff recommendation - white with house blend and OMG... hands down the best cup of coffee I've had in life! It was well bodied, complex flavors with just a nice kick of sourness. Delightful! Patricia currently only serves coffee and small bites with prices that's more than affordable. Also, the staffs here are gracious and super talented mates. Short to say, Melbourne certainly had no shortage of good coffee, but for me, Patricia always takes the cake!

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Standing Room only! I love Patricia! Locate in an alley right across from the Court of Justice. You know people here lining up just because of their coffee, not to stay here for hours with their laptops or chit chat with friends. Menu is simple. Black, White or Filter. Flat White it is and this is the only way I had my coffee during my week long travel in Australia. Double shots is the way to go! Lovely Latte Art. Well Foamed Milk. Free Sparkling Water. Staff just so nice even offered that to my sister who was just hanging out with me outside the window. Worth the line up and the hype.

Ada H.

Yelp
I am a coffee snob because I used to have a coffee house in Seattle and I have trained many baristas for competition. This place is so awesome, and probably one of the top 10 i ever tasted in my life. It's a really tiny shop, with huge flavor.

Tricia D.

Yelp
Liked it, but didn't love it. It's a quick stop place, as there is no seating... And be warned it may be a little tricky for you to find Patricia in this little alleyway without any obvious street sign. A local helped us find her. Note that this shop offers only black and white drinks (no cappuccinos, mochas, or those varieties). Love that small batch and unique blends are offered. It reminds me of Intelligentsia coffee back in the States. The baked goods are very appealing to the eye and run about $4-6 AUD each. The pistachio lemon bread looked great but was a miss (nuts weren't crunchy, and bread was ordinary). I was a fan of the chewy brownie peanut butter cookie sandwich, though it was slightly too sweet. The choc chip oatmeal cranberry cookie was very oaty, and I feel like I got some good fiber intake there!

Lindsey O.

Yelp
The chocolate chip marshmallow cookie was wonderful! It was a hot day so the chocolate chips got nice and melty too. Be prepared though they only have coffee - I was hoping for a chai latte since I don't drink coffee but I deliberately came here since my middle name is Patricia. Cookie was SOLID though.

Sarah E.

Yelp
Such a cute and simple spot for coffee tucked away in Melbourne! Service was great and you can tell that the baristas value every customer- new and old. Love the free glass of sparkling water you're handed while you wait for your coffee. This was my first day in Melbourne and this was the perfect place to get acquainted with Melbourne's coffee culture!

Hillary M.

Yelp
Our favorite coffee in Melbourne. We arrived around 8:30 am on a weekday morning and we were able to order coffee right away and only waited a few minutes. We ordered lattes and both my husband and I preferred the plain latte here over hash Specialty Coffee as well as a few others.

David L.

Yelp
Came here at about 9:30am and there was a line of about 5 people but we came at the perfect time because the line grew to about 15-20 right after us. We came here because this place was highly rated and possibly one of the best places for coffee in Melbourne. We ordered the flat white and the long black and received them about 10 minutes after we placed our order. Long Black (house beans) - it was bold and strong. Definitely straight to the point and got my caffeine in. Flat White - It was smooth, creamy and semi-sweet. I definitely enjoyed this drink and slowly savored it during my walk as I took it to go. The staff was nice and worked diligently to get the drinks out ASAP.

Tom M.

Yelp
I liked the look of the place, and the black and wood interior. I liked the confidence of the cashier, and her direct friendliness. I liked the music (Kool & the Gang, for one). I liked the coffee, and had both roasts just to get the full experience. I liked getting the barista's feedback on those roasts. I liked that the alley was lined with bankers in suits, hipsters, and even a 10 year old English student like me. I liked Patricia, it was great.

Yanna I.

Yelp
Stopped by this coffee shop while exploring Melbourne. Was absolutely delighted with the whole experience! Staff was expedient in taking our orders, and very friendly and welcoming over all. Loved the atmosphere and culture of it. Coffee was amazing, had a nice pastry to combine with it. I would definitely come back if in the area!

Andjelka J.

Yelp
Believe the hype - Patricia is the best coffee in Melbourne CBD. As a sometimes coffee drinker, when I crave it - I CRAVVVVEEEEE it. Cue: the fun caffeine rollercoaster. Patricia sounds like a cute gal doesn't she? Well, she is! The cafe is a bright and inviting space in a laneway, look out for the people sitting on milk crates. With around six baristas (!) working at one time, clearly I am not the only person who has developed a Patricia crush. The clientele seems to be a mixed bag - regulars walking in without needing to place an order, coffee connoisseurs asking lots of questions about the menu, and inquisitive souls like me who get excited about single origin ingredients. I was in an adventurous mood so I asked one of the baristas to recommend something and he was on point with the Small Batch Chele'lektu filter coffee from Ethiopia. It was smooth, delicious and a new coffee discovery! I'll be back in a heartbeat the next time I am in Melbourne, until then I will crush on Patricia from afar.

Larry C.

Yelp
Excellent pour over coffee! The staff was super friendly as well. Not an easy place to find, but worth the effort.

Rong Y.

Yelp
It's wonderful! All about it . I think it's the best cafe in the Melbourne. " Standing room only ". Yummy! I will go again.

Anne-Claire A.

Yelp
I wanted to try this place for a little while now and I was not disappointed. They do simple orders, no crazy pumpkin spice vanilla late here. I ordered a soy late and it was really good! There are about 6 barista! No place to sit, you get your coffee and you are out! While I was waiting for mine, I could hear the barista talking to the other customers while taking their orders. They know their name and the way they like their coffee, impressive given there are hundreds of customers! Overall, great little find!

Rachel R.

Yelp
This is a charming little stand-up coffee bar, tucked off the alleyway. You will see plenty of people lingering in the street and near the windows. I find the coffee to be a touch on the sour side compared to Duke's, but indisputably a well-crafted drink. The staff is extremely friendly and I love the ice-cold bubbly water while you wait.

Mel S.

Yelp
I'm impressed! Hidden in true Melbourne style, down an ally off little bourke & little william is a truly impressive venue. The staff are super welcoming as you enter the tiny and well styled spot they occupy... offering sparkling water while you wait. I receive my coffee with a smile after a short wait and loving coffee for its taste alone, I'm hopefull it wont dissapoint... It doesn't! It has a super smooth taste with a hint of chocolate, ans then its finished too soon, I wish I worked closer to pop in again. Thanks guys, you've got a great thing going!

Willie M.

Yelp
While not as sour as some beans/flat whites that I've had in Melbs (looking at you Little Rogue), the small batch "Patricia no.2" blend of Colombian and Ethiopian beans was still sour and not very robust or complex. That green bean sourness, which probably comes from the acidity level of the bean, just destroys the palette and removes any other taste of the coffee. Here, while ordering and choosing which of the two blends, I had asked for as close to an Italian-style espresso as I could get, but left feeling every bit of the pretentiousness displayed in the teeny weeny use of a piccolo cup for my flat white. I suppose coffee is open to interpretation. Doesn't mean we have to grin and bare it, though. Places that interpret their flat whites to my liking in Melbs include: - Bowery to Williamsburg - Short Stop - Traveller - Manchester Press

Joel R.

Yelp
Wonderful service, wonderful people, wonderful coffee. I'm an American raised up in the booming coffee culture of California of the past 10 years. I landed in Melbourne on holiday completely unaware of this city's vibrant coffee community. After learning about the laneway scene here, I made it a point to venture down the unassuming streets to see what all the hype was about. One local Melbourne coffee lover pointed me in the direction of Patricia. The shop was nicely tucked away, but not so much that I had a hard time locating it. There was a small line, but that was no problem because these guys are FAST. Despite the line the girl at the counter kindly pointed me in the direction of the best pastry available that day, and helped me navigate their coffee options with a kind, patient, and friendly demeanor. While waiting for my latte I found a place to stand inside the shop. At first I thought the lack of seating might mean they wanted me out the door soon, but this notion was quickly dismissed as one of the main baristas, Pip, struck up a conversation with me without ever skipping a beat on the coffee making. Our conversation rolled on for twenty minutes or so; all the while they kept me supplied with sparkling water and samples of other coffees they offered. The coffee was excellent, as is much of the coffee Melbourne has to offer, but I walked away predominantly impressed by their hospitality. Anyone can make a good cup of coffee, but it is something much harder to make someone feel truly welcomed.

Tresna L.

Yelp
I've always thought that a good indicator of a coffee shop's worth is the ratio of baristas to punters... and I don't necessarily mean the number actually pulling shots behind the machine. When I arrived at Patricia, there were three baristas who work at other coffee establishments sitting on milk crates out the front - I knew it was going to be good before I'd even ordered my first hit. I was welcomed in to the beautiful space by Pip (he's the one with the shaved head and happy smile) - and then asked if I'd like a black coffee, or a white coffee. Simple huh? This is definitely not the place to ask for a double rizz caramel non-fat soy decaf latte - they're keeping it simple, and have nailed the quick coffee spot concept. It's somewhere to swing past and either stand for ten minutes (standing room only - a bold but practical move); or grab something caffeinated on the way to the office. Also, if you're hungry you'll have to settle for something small and sweet, because a full breakfast/lunch venue this ain't. With handmade ceramics, peonies on the windowsill, sparkling water on tap, a chilled out soundtrack and the most delightful staff, Patricia is the hot new girl in town and I can't wait to spend more time with her.

Iman R.

Yelp
Best coffee I have ever had in my life. Visiting from SF and saw that they were the highest rated coffee place in Melbourne, they lived up to it 110%. It's a hole in the wall so if you can't find it ask some locals they're super nice. Enjoy!

Jen S.

Yelp
This little venue serves up quality coffee. What is equally impressive is the ability of the staff to remain (what very convincingly seems like) genuinely happy and helpful. Patricia clearly has a great reputation, As such, the small space is packed with people (even at times that seem a bit odd, like 3pm in the afternoon. Don't you have some CBD office you should be in, dudes in suits?!) There is sparkling water while you wait, few milk crates outside, and a few stools inside (all of which are likely to be occupied). The venue has a cool, clean vibe with the likes of costly leather aprons hanging on the wall. Definitely worth a visit for a taste of the Melbourne coffee experience.

Terrence L.

Yelp
Single origin Under high heat and pressure, Delicious java The only place where the sun shines on the west side of the CBD. Standing room only.

George S.

Yelp
This coffee shop is at hidden hot Spot in Melbourne, I'm personally a coffee fanatic after visiting several shops. Trishas was my absolute favorite staff was friendly and actually knew my name even after the first visit. Definitely a go to for a cappuccino or even a black cuppa coffee

Sallyanne E.

Yelp
I love this place- seriously I love everything about it. Above and beyond consistently perfect coffee, the staff are all just lovely and it's a great atmosphere. In the morning Patricia is crawling with suits (I should know, I am one) and in the afternoon gets a fair share of bike messengers and hipsterly kids- plus the suits who need their caffeine top ups. In addition to the delightful team of baristas (who know my name, yay!) they have a delectable assortment of baked goods. Flaky, buttery and perfect croissants and very nice little bites like the sultana biscuits that I just cannot go past. A little hard to find, but worth it. I am so happy to have this as my local source for all things caffeine and baked deliciousness. It makes coming to the CBD for work a not so bad thing!!

Niha P.

Yelp
Coffee = Patricia It was one of the best cafe's for really good coffee, was very packed and busy when i went but still got my coffee in less than 5 minutes

Soula K.

Yelp
Lovely staff, best coffee, interesting things to read while you wait plus they also offer some sparkling water. Oh and the coffee, flawless each time.

Mino C.

Yelp
I came (8am morning rush) with high expectations of "Patricia" from reading previous reviews. Yes, what has been said is all correct, queue out the door, "suits" and all and there were two cyclists in lycra sitting on plastic crates outside; nevertheless the vibe was very friendly and engaging. The "suits" are an unavoidable factor of Patricia's location I guess. I never felt I was being rushed, to the contrary and I observed many genuine smiles (appears to be a happy crew with happy customers). Many customers are known by their first names, understandable when that is what they ask when they take your order if they need to identify you and your coffee. My coffee's were personally brought to me however, no impersonal calling out names across the room. But we come for the coffee! I had a double expresso, small batch "Candyman", which was strong and on the bitter side as described to me. They regularly weigh doses for consistency. Perfectly extracted, it looked and tasted good with above average crema. I then tried a "Candyman" white coffee which was also very good as was their smooth filter coffee. Highly recommended and don't be put off by the "suits"; enjoy the great coffee, mineral water and vibe. Five stars!

Yelp
Melbourne is known for its coffee, and places like Patricia's must be the reason why. We came in just before a crowd on a Friday morning and got excellent service. The place is small and decorated in a very modern and minimalist style. Fresh flowers were on every surface, and it was lovely to drink our coffees standing next to the windowsill looking outside. We ordered a double espresso and a traditional macchiato, but the baristas were kind enough to also give us a free cup of their filtered coffee as well as some iced coffee.

Yelp
This is a hole in the wall coffee shop/stopover really. Which is exactly how we enjoyed our Single Origin plus Seven Seeds coffee on a dreary Melbourian morning. This is a standing room only kinda place, so you just order and wait for your cup of delight. Whilst we were waiting outside one of the barista's came out and gave us a taste of a drip coffee they do. I was so anti it and didn't want to try but he insisted and I was pleasantly surprised! Very happy with this little find! Will be back!

Yelp
When I first came upon Patricia, I was apprehensive. Up a laneway. No seating. Simplified menu (black, white, filter). Could so easily be staffed by snobby hipsters who wrinkle their noses when you ask for milk w cold drop. BUT... Patricia's team are lovely, the coffee is excellent and the service is efficiently and very friendly. Somehow they manage to take time with each customer, never feeling rushed or impatient. I always feel welcomed and get to enjoy a glass of sparkling water whilst I wait. The only downside (if there has to be one) is no seating, so you can't lounge around and lap up the warm atmosphere for longer.
