Patrick Kennedy's DID NOT disappoint!
Are you in search of a place with great vibes, good music, a chill atmosphere, great service, and food to boot? I'm here to tell you Patrick Kennedy's has it all and more!
Patrick Kennedy's Irish Pub is located near the corner of Main St. and Griffin in downtown Dallas. It's a great place to get together with friends or just surround yourself with great people and atmosphere. As soon as you walk up to the door, you feel as if you are walking into a traditional Irish pub.
We were a group of 6 gathering together on a Friday night looking to reconnect. I was unsure if they would be able to accommodate our group, so I sent an email to see if we could make a reservation. A few days later, Samira reached out and was able to accommodate our needs. Her cheerful voice and willingness to ensure that we received the best service possible was a prequel to what was to come.
From Elaine, who got us started with beverages, to Erica who took care of our table for the night, to the young lady(I didn't get your name, but your were wearing black & white glasses) who helped my niece in the restroom. Really took the time to serve us well and make us feel at home. I CANNOT say enough good things about the staff! You just need to go down there and experience them for yourself.
Now, for the food! What I love about visiting an establishment with a larger group is that it gives you the opportunity to taste and try a variety of offerings, as well as test the kitchen staff prowess! Baby, my hats off to the Kitchen staff. On a busy Friday night, in downtown Dallas, we did not wait more than 10 minutes for any of our food! Everything was hot, fresh, and seasoned well! We started out with a Scottish Egg, Spicy Cheese Curds, and Corned Beef and Cabbage Eggrolls. Absolutely delicious! The Scottish egg was perfectly cooked with the traditional runny yolk and golden brown, crunchy exterior. The cheese curds were absolutely addictive! The eggrolls were served with 1000 island dressings and gave an incredible mouth feel of salty, sweet, tangy, earthy, and tart!
Entrees were Fish and Chips( what seemed like a whole cod loin, that was fresh, with a bright clean flavor, and earth shattering crust, served with Coleslaw and the tangiest tarter sauce I have ever had! Bliss. Monte Cristo( standard turkey and ham, but elevated to new heights by adding Wexford cheddar and Swiss Cheese on sourdough bread, then beer-battered and fried to perfection). The Cluckin Chicken (buttermilk-brined chicken breast, with an IPA sauce, coleslaw, cheddar cheese on sourdough(talk about texture and flavor on steroids)! The Turkey Avocado (fresh sliced turkey, creamy avocado, smoky bacon, on sourdough, and a jalapeno aioli for kick)! Drunken Mussels (Black mussels, steamed in a creamy beer broth, that was as elegant as it was light and succulent. The garlic crostinis were the perfect vessel to shovel that rich broth into your belly). Garlic Mac N Cheese ( three Irish cheese, plus a Guinness stout cheese sauce that kept the dish creamy and lush) was everything a Mac N Cheese should be! For dessert! Bread Pudding! I grew up on bread pudding, and this took me home! Thick, custard laden cubes of sourdough, plump raisins, with a Jameson cream sauce. It absolutely warmed my soul!
I am so glad we decided to step into everything that is Patrick Kennedy's Irish Pub. Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great People.
Check It Out!!
