I visited this chocolate shop because it doesn't exist in Japan yet. I bought an assortment of chocolates in different flavors. Everything was very delicious. The staff was also polite.

Google
The store is beautifully designed, and the chocolates are good looking. However, I chose not to buy anything because the customer service was the worst I’ve experienced in any chocolate shop in France. I believe that great chocolate should be accompanied by good service, and unfortunately, this shop fell short.

This is a Parisian chocolatier that we have much enjoyed over the years. Was disappointed when they closed their Brussels branch meaning we can only make purchases when passing through Paris. You'll find a handful of branches around the city. This time around we stopped at their branch along Blvd. St. Germain while sightseeing in the area. Always interesting seeing the chocolate sculpture creations on display. We also like picking up small boxes of pralines, sometimes for gifts and usually one or two for ourselves. The single origin chocolate bars come in tins which are convenient for packing and taking back home as well. They are all pretty good, especially the 70-75% dark chocolates. Ask for help picking out what might be best for you, staff are helpful describing what flavours to expect based on the chocolate origin.

Google
Very friendly customer service to help answer questions and make recommendations. There are signs all over not to touch anything. You will be warned if you try to touch anything. This is probably the most expensive chocolate I’ve ever bought. It’s also some of the best quality I’ve ever had. The packaging is very nice and it has some weight to it. The bars some in a metal tin and the plastic packing has a resealable flap. For special occasions this place is a treat to enjoy. I wish the prices were a bit more affordable, but in any case if it’s a special occasion I would make the trip to buy some more chocolate from Patrick Rodger.

Google
First experience at this location that was recommended by a friend. The sales women was professional and described the offerings well and let us try a piece of chocolate. We left with the Discovery box and a box of All Instinct praline assortment which the four of us split when we got home. Delicious. Melt in your mouth chocolates. Hope to go back.

Google
Rude service who were very condescending and unhelpful. I asked for recommendations and they didn’t give any suggestions. I felt like I was getting worse treatment because I’m a tourist. I bought 2 boxes but wouldn’t again - there are kinder and friendlier shops elsewhere in Paris with great chocolates. Disappointing considering the brand and high price point.

Google
The most amazing chocolate I have ever had. The place itself is beautifully designed with burnt wood on the walls in memory of a fire they had a while ago. The prices are very expensive. In face do not expect a chocolate bar for less than 10 euros or a chocolate praline for less than two euros. It’s a unique experience and you need to try it at least once… I was there around Christmas and they had Christmas trees 🎄 made out of chocolate

Google
Amazing chocolates! Love their signature caramel and lime chocolates. They also open on Sundays. Had to wait for a little as there were quite a few chocolate enthusiasts on the rainy day morning. I was greeted by a sales only speaks French at first. We couldn’t communicate. So I waited until the other girl was available. I had a nice experience with her. She introduced me their products and explained things to me. I had a good experience.

Yelp
Our friend David Downey introduced us to Patrick Roger's shop near Place Suplice. And a couple of days later we visited the shop on Boulevard Saint Germain. I am not going to say that it is the best chocolate I have ever had, but it is damned close. Absolutely exquisite. The perfect souvenir to bring home for yourself, family and friends. Try to have some restraint and not eat it all while in Paris!

Yelp
This was the best praline I had in Paris! It is literally perfect, with optimal texture and saltiness. You don't need to try any others, just go here.

Yelp
I was in Paris and actually saw my favorite chef YouTuber Josh Weissman post about this place so I had to go. They have so many specialty chocolates to choose from. I purchased 3 bars: one for myself and two as gifts. I am eating the Ecuador 70%. I wish I could've sampled the chocolates in the store to know which ones I should buy. This one is a 7/10. I've had better chocolates. This one is a little waxy almost. Doesn't melt super well. Is sweeter than expected and I'm not picking up the notes very well. The staff were friendly and explained about the chocolates when I asked. We were offered a sample and I asked if they had hazelnuts so my friend with an allergy couldn't have it. The store was cool inside with chocolate sculptures. I enjoyed Chapon Chocolate a bit better!

Yelp
Hands down, this is the best chocolatier in Paris! Excellent chocolate not to be missed by those who truly have an affinity for fine chocolate. As with anything of high quality, the price reflects that's but it's worth spending a little extra to enjoy this caliber of chocolate. I never leave Paris without stopping here to grab a few boxes for myself and a few for family and friends. It's definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Yelp
There's so many wonderful foods and the best restaurants in the world in Paris but there's also some of the best chocolatiers as well and this is one of them. The inside of the store speaks high class and quality while the service is impeccable as well.
google avatar

Neelam P.

Yelp
Why must these caramels and chocolates be soooooo expensive!? The store is gorgeous, all black with the lighting on the chocolates. Honey caramel marble was delicious, but at 4 euro a ball it is way too expensive to be a regular treat. The praline almonds and hazelnuts chocolate was good, just not worth the price tag.
google avatar

Yelp
Patrick Roger sells chocolates that are perfectly balanced, sweet but not too sweet, with wonderful flavours and textures. We bought way too many chocolates (it's not cheap!) but we couldn't resist -- they have so many different delectable-looking chocolates. Some of them are beautifully painted like glassy jewels. This chocolatier is literally an artist. Displayed in the shop window was a chocolate sculpture of a chimpanzee. He's a Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Service was patient, friendly, and helpful. Chocolates are dreamy.

Yelp
These chocolates are AMAZING! Can't believe I haven't been here before on previous trips. Beautifully presented and amazing flavours - unique options such as yuzu (one of my favorites) to traditional caramel fillers. I love the crisp shell and the liquid filling inside. Smooth with great texture contrasts between the shell and centre. Packs well for souvenirs too if stored in the fridge. A box of 9 chocolates is 24 euros, so best given to people you like!

Yelp
We visited this location of the MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) winning chocolatier Patrick Roger which is located on Boulevard Saint-Germain diagonally across from the H&M. It was larger than the store we visited in St. Sulpice, but both stores had plenty of chocolate. This store had a better chocolate sculpture! An orangutan! Everything inside looks, smells, and is pure chocolate goodness. When you enter a shop, you can usually tell within a few seconds what sort of establishment it is going to be. This is no exception. Everything is done in sharp green and black lines. The displays are immaculate. Your senses tingle with the pure chocolate smell in the air. The store is chilled to a perfect temperature. They sell their pieces in pre-picked boxes or by the piece. I mention that specifically because if you want something swapped out the box is out, you have to buy it by the bag and pay for each piece. We bought several pieces and it doesn't seem to make much price difference. It was almost exactly the same price. Their selections vary from their catalog (they will give you one) but most of the pieces were available. They also sell bars from different cocoa plants and in purity from around 60%-100% dark cocoa. They come in really neat tins. The chocolate was exceptional and the presentation was insanely stunning. Their pearls are one of the most beautiful pieces of chocolate I've ever seen. The staff at this location was very knowledgeable and friendly. One of the girls even helped my wife find a particular clothing store she was looking for. She gave us excellent directions and went above and beyond to make the rest of our day outside this purchase a good experience!

Yelp
High quality chocolate, beautiful boutique, great packaging. Our favorites are the pralines (the instinct box is great- includes noir et lait pralines) and the orangettes. Not inexpensive, but premium chocolate in Paris never is.

Yelp
Final stop during our food tour brough us to this place. Another fancy chocolate tier where the fancy chocolate art takes center stage here they had a huge monkey made out of chocolate on display pretty cool to see hard to believe it's made of chocolate. Some of the creations inside were nice to see although it looks so pretty u may not want to eat it. We were able to try some chocolate I had the milk chocolate square this was very good. Friends had some dark chocolate & coffee flavors all good as well. The guy working was nice & attentive , good place to end our tour.

Yelp
We wanted to bring some treats home from Paris, so we decided to stop by Patrick Roger. We got there right when it opened, so we had the store to ourselves. There are plenty of chocolate options, as well as some chocolate displays near the window. We ended up getting a box of chocolates with different shapes and flavors. It was a great way to remember our trip to Paris, food-wise, when we got back home to Seattle.

Yelp
Of all of the chocolate confections that exist in the world -- from bars and brownies to cakes and cookies -- nothing compares to the perfection of a chocolate covered praline, specifically one created by master chocolatier Patrick Roger. Before you sink your teeth in it's clear that every aspect of the praline has been crafted to perfection. For one, the shape -- an one-inch cube -- is the ideal form for one-bite bliss, or, if you want to prolong the pleasure, two or even three nibbles. Whatever your eating style the cube keeps its shape without falling to pieces. Aside from form alone, the texture and density of the praline is sublime -- unlike most pralines that waver between sickeningly thick or slippery thin, this praline has the perfect amount of resistance and crunch. Like most delicacies in life, this one comes with a price. Sold by the kilo, the cost for a small sachet (around 18-20 pieces) is approx 20E. But if you're looking for a gift that will guarantee squeals, you can't go wrong with Patrick's pralines.

Yelp
Forget the chocolate....people should try the NOUGAT!!!!! Okay besides Ladurée - Patrick Roger would be my only other reason to come back to Paris. SERIOUSLY...NO JOKE - Ladurée and Patrick Roger are the my reason to come back to Paris besides shopping since I haven't found anything comparable. I was strolling along...walking aimlessly and these cute little chocolate shaped animals caught my eyes. I bought a sheep...so cute! Not to eat but just to keep and treasure (even though the sheep lost its stand after going back to the states) forever. I got Pistachio Nougat - you know that white chewy stuff. It's the best NOUGAT ever! HANDS DOWN! If anyone knows of another place within NY area that sells these sucker...please let me know. My friend T recently went to Paris and I asked T if it wasn't any trouble to please bring me back my nougat. T came back and was like look what I got you. T held out two bags - I automatically recognized the distinct green coloured bags and I was super duper happy, but as I scanned through the clear view windows...where's the white stuff? All I saw was a sea of dark to medium coloured browns. Ummm, okay... I don't know what happened perhaps T forgot I said Nougat and not Nugget? I don't know, but I put on a happy face and said thank you even though I was secretly dying inside. *sigh* I ate the chocolates but still thought about my white pistachio nougat! Okay I wasn't like OHHHHHHH and YUMMMMMS but I must say for someone who doesn't like chocolates...I didn't mind Patrick Roger! I liked the Hazelnut one and Passionfruit one the best!

Yelp
Cha-Ching. You know when you walk in here and the employees are handling the chocolates like they are diamonds that you're about to spend some serious $$. I even kind of felt like I was shopping for a ring or something the way they so gently walked me through the different chocolates and handled them, showcased them and packaged them. But there's a reason for all that because these chocolates and the flavor combinations are scrumptious and nothing I've had in the States. I got one little box (had about 12 small chocolates for 32+ Euro) for my parents and I shared 3 chocolates with my husband (you pay by weight for those). We had a praline milk chocolate, almond chocolate and a black rice almond chocolate. They were delicate, balanced, smooth, and were finished much too quickly!

Yelp
Intensely wonderful place. Everything a very high end chocolate shop in Paris should be, plus they didn't laugh too much when I spent my last euro coins on their wares. Crazy yum.
google avatar

Yelp
Chocolat gourmet from all over le monde ! You choose the bars from the location and the level of darkness. The petit carrés are beautiful and les boites make the perfect gifts. The sample of the chocolate almond was incroyable which I will get next time.

Yelp
After watching a YouTube video featuring Patrick Roger and how he and his team make their chocolates, I was hunting this place down. Anyone who has this much passion for chocolate must make darn good chocolate. I simply ADORE this place. I was intimidated to walk in, but the staff was very friendly. I was lucky to have at least one English-speaker employee help me choose out items. I had some individual praline chocolates for myself and nicely packaged bar chocolates in beautiful tin boxes (about 7-8 Euros, I beleive) for my close friends. I basically asked for just about every single bar chocolate choice and then every single truffle choice. She was still smiling and not at all exasperated. Thank goodness for her patience with me! The shop smelled insanely delightful and when I was paying, the lady offered me a taste of the individual chocolate for the road. All I remember (and this memory will stay with me forever when I think of Paris) is opening the door to the street and having a chilly blast of air in my face JUST as I bit into the chocolate. Suddenly, all my chilliness and aches melted away and I was instantly warmed and floating to another place. I was practically in euphoria as I walked down the street and let the ganache and remainder of the chocolate slowly melt away on my tongue. I don't even know what chocolate I had. All I know is that I had it, and I loved it dearly. I walked around happily and bought some cheese, then realized I was still obsessing about the chocolate and that I NEEDED to share this with my loved ones. Since I had not bought anything for my aunt's family yet, I went back, had the lady help me again and bought a pre-assorted box of chocolates for 40 Euros (BALLER STATUS) for them, and that comes with all sorts of popular chocolates like the marbles. They loved it. My friends who received the bar chocolates loved it as well and savored them slowly. I will DEFINITELY be back here again upon my next trip to Paris! More worth it than Maison Georges Larnicol, in my opinion, in terms of price, presentation and service, but the truffles at the latter were definitely appreciated.

Yelp
Was looking for the best chocolate spots in Paris of course what else would I be looking for lol. This spot had high reviews decided to give a go and boy was a I surprised upon arrival. Very quiet and dark. Color theme is black and turquoise, they are so professional and really know what they are talking about. They helped me pick the perfect gift to bring back it wasn't cheap but it was tasty so I got 2 for me for my plate ride lol :)
google avatar

Kenneth W.

Yelp
Excellent chocolate with a very exquisite taste. Rich and beautiful pieces of art with each piece. Packaging amazing of course. Definately worth a visit to buy gifts. Will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
All of the chocolate shops in Paris have had relatively friendly and welcoming staff- except this one. I had book marked it & walked in intending to buy based on reviews, but left with nothing. The back wall is stacked with rows of chocolate in tins, with different cacao contents. I chose what I wanted and picked it up off the shelf- the shelf that had probably 100 tins stacked in small columns, not behind glass or anything similar- and held it while I looked around to see what else I wanted to buy. I was told in a very snotty manor " PLEASE NO TOUCHING". Sir. Sir! This is 11-euro chocolate; we're not talking about gold or cashmere nor am I a toddler with sticky hands running around dirtying up your store. Get over yourself s'il vous plait.
google avatar

Char P.

Yelp
We visited Patrick Roger the week of Easter and boy was this shop packed! I thought their chocolates were actually sub-par. To me, it was a bit over rated but something you should at least try if you're already there. If I were to do it all over again, I would buy more macaroons and less chocolates.
google avatar

Keryn L.

Yelp
Excellent. Simply excellent. I may have to check baggage in order to carry as much of this delicious chocolate as I can back to the United States. Not too sweet, interesting flavors, beautifully arranged in a small, dimly lit showroom. Only downside is that there is a 20 Euro limit for cards, but it's not difficult to get to that point.

Yelp
While I had landed in Paris armed with a handy list of "must-do" chocolate shops during our visit in Paris, my list quickly took a back seat to just discovering random chocolate shops along the way. But from everything I'd heard about Patrick Roger, often dubbed the "Picasso of chocolate," I was determined to make it to one of his shops before we departed. I am so glad I did! I wound up grabbing a bag of some delightful looking chocolate cubes, only to discover later that they were the famed "Pralines." WOW. They were so good, I had to give half of the bag away to co-workers for fear of making myself ill by eating them all in one sitting. Most of the other chocolates come in delightful, Tiffany-esque boxes in various shapes and flavors. Perfect for gift giving! I ate a hearty share of Parisian chocolates in the six days we were there, and while I didn't have a bad chocolate among them, I'd still have to pick Patrick Roger as my favorite. For his whimsy (giant Santa and reindeer carved out of chocolate? Wish I could see what he does for other holidays!), for his amazing chocolate, and for his delightful staff.

Yelp
Best chocolates, both the pralines and the pure chocolate bars. Comparing this to Maison du Chocolat, and Richart. First, in the pralines, I like the fruit fillings and they make the best passion fruit and lime flavors. So bright and intense flavors bursting in your mouth while the chocolate is dark and rich. Crazy, can't stop eating it good. The bars are slightly pricier than other high end chocolatier's bars because PR 's come in a flat tin box. I am going to reuse these tins. Service is INconsistent. 1 day, there was only 1 woman in the shop and she was very cheerful and young. She had out a small dish of milk and dark chocolates for customers to try. Another day, there were 3 salespeople, and they looked more uptight. I saw one offer a small tray of chocolates to a customer ahead of me, but when I paid, I wasn't offered any. Can we say 'rude'? Packaging is the BEST. In every way, PR 's packaging is superior to other chocolate shops. I'll compare them to Maison du Chocolat as an example. When you buy by the piece, PR put them in a resealable bag that is easy to open and reseal. Other shops use regular bags and tape. Their little handbag is sturdy and made of heavy stock paper. MdC's bag was thinner and wrinkled easily. PR's chocolate bars come in a tin, whereas other's come in paper wrap (like regular candy bars). The only cons are the inconsistent service and also, their chocolate flavors are not labeled, so you really have to wait for someone to help you just to find out what the pieces' flavors are. MdC has a label on everything so you could browse more easily.

Yelp
I'm not going to review every single piece of chocolate I've had, but let's just say of all the chocolates, spheres, and bars I've tried, every single one of them blew me away. Everything from the thin coating around each bon bon to the way the ganache melted was exquisite. The texture of these chocolates is quite outstanding and you can really recognize the quality of the cocoa beans and the way they were processed. As for the flavored chocolates, what I enjoyed most of that each flavor was very prominent and true to its flavor profile. Flavors were so clean and just right. OVERALL: Those who appreciate quality chocolate will adore this place. Those who like KitKat and Hershey's may not understand why one piece is 4 euros. Like I always say, YOU WON'T KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!
google avatar

Linda N.

Yelp
Please take all my money . Just here . This stuff is insanely expensive but just eat them. The fruit ones are my favorite . wow
google avatar

Miranda M.

Yelp
The worst part of my trip to Paris was realizing that after eating the best chocolate of my life at Patrick Roger - now I have to go back to the United States where it doesn't exist, and they don't ship here.
google avatar

Renu K.

Yelp
I was living in Paris 10 years ago, I was a regular customer after Patrick Roger opened on Avenue Victor Hugo. I loved everything there including very nice service. I am now living in London, ( March 12th 2018 )came back to visit the store again with excitement with my two sons. My son ( 3 years old )accidentally dropped a box of marzipan and a bag of chocolate that cause a small dent on the box and on the bag. The man who was working there asked me to pay for that right away, didn't even show his service mind to be nice to a customer. I paid € 31 for the unkind service, left the store with a bad feeling and I'm sure I will not go back there again. It's unfortunate that a luxury chocolate store is having a wrong kind of person working there.

Yelp
I think this may be my first non-restaurant review. My wife had given me one thing to make sure i did on my trip - and that was visit Patrick Roger. She actually gave me two places to check out, the other being la maison de chocolate (or something like that). Based on the Yelp reviews, I decided on Patrick Roger. Be prepared to spend, but its worth it. My wife said this was by far the best chocolate she's ever had. I was looking for dark chocolate (bars) and they almost have too many to choose from (or I don't have a big enough wallet to sample them all). The person helping me did her best English. You can literally choose from 15 different dark chocolate bars, from various countries. She described them like you describe a fine wine (fruity after tones, etc.). Sure enough, the one i picked did have the flavors she described. I also got a box of assorted chocolates. There were some unusual flavor combinations..I don't think my kids liked that (face it, they like sugary crap chocolate). The store itself was pretty cool to see..but it is 'do not touch' (probably not a good place for kids..).
google avatar

William C.

Yelp
They sell these by the weight here! You can get 100 grams of chocolate for 11 Euros (roughly 1 Euro per chocolate). Of course, you can also buy the preset boxes as a gift. My favorite was the pistachio chocolate and I would recommend it (it has a pistachio on the top). Would highly recommend here!
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
The chocolates are very creative and are not too sweet. However the service is very cold and the staff is not very friendly. Be sure you do not actually touch anything or you will be scolded.
google avatar

Katy F.

Yelp
Rich, delicious and absolutely wonderful. The fragrance of chocolate washes over you right when you step inside. the boutique is very cute. The workers helped explain every chocolate they have! You are sure to leave with something.
google avatar

Viv M.

Yelp
The good: service was timely, efficient, and helpful with decision-making. It was Easter in Paris so this was well done with a very busy shop. Too many people being served to offer up samples, so went with recommendations from prior Yelpers. The bad: bought several different chocolate offerings and all but one was "meh" at best. The caramel with lime was very good, but the rest of these "gourmet" chocolates and pralines were chalky, devoid-of-taste messes. Everyone's tastes are different, but not sure why anyone would rave over this maker. The recommendation: go with MarieBelle out of New York.
google avatar

Suzanne L.

Yelp
Absolutely superb. These are not chocolates to be scarfed down mindlessly while watching TV. Each one is a gem, and requires your full attention. I will never forget trying the lemongrass-basil chocolate. I was definitely skeptical but I swear, I had an out-of-body experience when I tried that chocolate. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in picking out a variety of chocolates for my friends and I to try. As others have noted, the atmosphere is one of a hushed and reverent jewelery store. The lighting is all directed on the chocolate themselves. The best part is that you can come multiple times and see what is new there; they have a core of "classics" they sell year-round, but they also have changing "season collections" of chocolate.
google avatar

Aaliyah P.

Yelp
While walking through the 6th today i stumbled upon this place. The shop itself is small but the girls working are very friendly and helped us pick out some chocolates. We were allowed to graze through the store and look at everything. I had trouble deciding on some stuff but ended up mixing up a bag of things that looked good. Most confections are of the dark chocolate variety but i opted for a few milk chocolate pieces. I also grabbed two salted caramels that literally melted in my mouth. A must stop if you find yourself in the 6th.
google avatar

Meg K.

Yelp
Once inside Patrick Roger's shop there is little doubt that chocolate is indeed an art form. Everything is so beautifully displayed that you hesitate to make a purchase and disturb the aesthetic harmony. But I got over that in 2 seconds flat. We purchased multiple combination boxes and some chips for baking. Quite simply, the deepest chocolate flavor I've experienced. Exceptional service. (I'll add that a pastry chef to the French president referred us. Ooh la la.)
google avatar

Qype User (moucra…)

Yelp
One of the most creative chocolate maker in Paris. Yummy and original. No doubt you'll enjoy to experience it. Enjoy the saffron spice ganache with dark chocolate or the lemon and basil one. The sellermen do good and explain you all that you ask.
google avatar

Yelp
Chocolate was delicious! Came beautifully packaged. Sister said the nougat was the best she's ever had.

Yelp
How could anybody possibly give Patrick Roger less than five stars??????? HOW??? When I bit into this chocolate, I instantly slipped into reverie, the heavens opened up, and 72 virgins French-kissed me simultaneously. Make sure not to miss the regular ganache or the almond and hazelnut praline.

Patrice B.

Yelp
I just read that they do not deliver to the United States and this is the one fact that is starting my post vacation blues!! Yes, we just got home from Europe last night and we had stopped at Patrick Roger's boutique in Bruxelles four days ago. I am savouring every piece of my chocolate and I have about 15 pieces left. The lemon chocolate and the praline are my favourites, so far. I bought a bag with one of each type plus a few extra of my all time classic favourites (dark chocolate and caramel). They are superb! The flavour is so well balanced, not overly sweet (like American chocolates), and the outside layers are delicate but have a fine crunch. These are the best chocolates that I've ever tasted.
google avatar

Kelsey R.

Yelp
I visited this shop on a chocolate tour and this was my personal favorite! Patrick Roger is known for creating elaborate sculptures of chocolate and the store we visited displayed a chocolate ape head in the window. He later casts these in metal and we found metal hippo sculptures in the upstairs of the shop- it was like eating our chocolate in an art gallery. He also creates the most unique flavors! We tried a basil chocolate, a tea-flavored chocolate, lemongrass chocolate, and a praline chocolate (hazelnut-chocolate in the US). It was nothing short of AMAZING how accurate these flavors were! We also sampled one of his "regular" chocolates which was also creamy and fantastic! We ordered a few chocolate bars and a box of the Amazon chocolates, which are lime cream-filled chocolates with a beautiful green, marbled top. If you visit only one chocolate shop in Paris, make this the one.
google avatar

Leah K.

Yelp
I was actually unimpressed with Patrick Roger. No one was shopping when I went in, and there was one staff member working in front. I had questions about the chocolate, because nothing is labeled. After I asked 2 questions, the clerk said "are you buying, or not?" and I was definitely turned off. I didn't ask for samples! I bought two pieces and left. It wasn't a very warm experience.
google avatar

J. Karim A.

Yelp
Came here based on research online. Fancy shop. The chocolate bars are in ultra modern metal cases. They staff was very helpful in describing what dad chocolate bars had which flavor tones. Sampled some chocolate while there which was excellent. Can't wait to try them.
google avatar

Jenna B.

Yelp
Where do I start??? This was recommended to me by a friend who travels to Paris every year for vacation. It's also on Paris by Mouth (great website). Shopping at Patrick Roger is quite an experience. First class service and chocolates to make you melt and crave more. Everything was so amazing, we bought 300 € in chocolate, and shipped it home overnight so it would be home waiting for us when we return. This place is great! Don't miss out!

Celine C.

Yelp
They say that it's the best chocolate, but what's for sure is that their service is the worst. The staff are arrogant, cold, and they keep on working on the side even if they are serving you. I would recommend other very good chocolatier such as Pierre Marcolini or Henri Le Roux. Taste as good and they do actually treat you like a customer.

Yelp
Third visit to this place, tried to keep an open mind to compare it to other shops in Paris, Dijon, and even Bruge. I would try a number of chocolates at random, and praised shops In each of these places. Patrick Roger still knocks them down. Yes, they have a bunch of locations, yes, the atmosphere is very formal, yes it is a bit expensive. But damn, it is oh, so, so damn good. Burst of flavor in your mouth you have no idea where they come from. It is truly the best for the person who loves dark chocolate. If you are a fan of milk and white, I suggest heading to Belgium, they do it well there. The one downside to Roger is that they raised the prices of their chocolate bars from 2 years ago. They used to be 5 Euros and now they are 7. Still worth it. I love their products.

Yelp
Mon Dieu! Chocolate heaven. Just walk in and inhale! Chocolate intoxication! These chocolates are works of art, flawless perfection and of course delicious. Yes it's expensive but so what? It's a chocolate you savor and it will spoil you and you absolutely deserve this experience. One bite of this and you won't be able to even sniff an American chocolate bar again : )

Yelp
As of 2010, these were by far the best chocolates in Paris. Things may have changed as life will, but at the time, Patrick's chocolates gave me shivers when I ate them. Expensive as Maison du Chocolate, but richer, far more unique, and the flavors more carefully blended yet still exotic. Went on my "chocolate tour" in 2010, and hit Maison, Leonides, Cluizel, etc., and tried their milk, dark, caramel, then whatever they were currently selling as "the best" or "newest". compared side by side Roger hands down!
