The Best Wine Bars in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"Perhaps the most classic wine bar on the list is Patrick’s Bar Vin, an upscale French Quarter opened by longtime New Orleans figure Patrick Van Hoorebeek (who also serves as the King of the Krewe of Cork). Wine is serious business here, emphasizing old-world varieties and some of the most celebrated wines available. Patrick’s offers climate-controlled wine lockers for serious customers to rent." - Clair Lorell

We stopped in for a quiet place to enjoy some drinks away from the craziness of Bourbon. Very classy place with a bar and seating in an interest courtyard, the bar area, a front seating area/lobby, and a front area under a tree. The front seating area/lobby couch area was the perfect quiet place to enjoy a drink and a chat, it was nice and quiet. My vodka tonic was very light on the vodka, kind of disappointing. My husband’s beers were cold. Restrooms were clean and stocked.

Great selection of wine, champagne, port, and beer. It has a very cozy interior in addition to the front and side courtyards. You can always count on a good time for any event in the Quarter.

Stopped in for an afternoon drink. The bar wasn’t busy, just a few lively groups, and I grabbed a seat at the bar. The male bartender was friendly and attentive, and got me my first two drinks with no issues. After a little while, the female bartender came on shift, and the male bartender stepped away to take care of some tasks. While I waited with an empty glass, she chatted with other guests at the bar but never acknowledged me or checked to see if I needed anything. I sat there for about 15 minutes without being approached or offered a refill. The female bartender later picked up my signed check and definitely glanced at the tip line, which let me know I hadn’t gone unnoticed, just unattended. I enjoy spots that feel welcoming, especially when I’m out solo, and I had hoped this would be one of them. I also love a good sparkling wine or champagne cocktail, so the menu had potential. But sitting that long without service felt off-putting and made me want to take the rest of my afternoon elsewhere. It’s always nice to find places worth returning to or recommending. Unfortunately, this won’t be one of them.

We like Patrick’s Bar Vin, a nice laid back wine bar with a good mix of locals and tourists. The place is geared as a wine bar but they have a full service cocktail bar also, if you prefer. They do not regularly serve food here, as a service but do occasionally have parties where food may be present. A good place for conversation and fun.

Google
One of the most elegant champagne and wine bars in the city. Some of my favorite events happened at this venue. Make sure you check out the craft cocktails as well. The service and staff are unmatchable. Next time you’re in the French quarter be sure to grab a bottle of Champagne and head to his wonderful courtyard. Cheers ☮️🫶🏼⚜️🥂

Google
A must stop for us whenever we're in New Orleans. A nice, dimly lit wine bar right between Bourbon and Royal on Bienville. You wouldn't know you are 1/2 block off Bourbon, it's a peaceful and comfortable setting. Even though it's a wine bar, there is full bar available. No food though, but they have no problems with people calling in pizza or other to go items. The owner, Patrick, is always around and mingles with the guests which is very personable approach for a bar in New Orleans.

Mike McCarthy

Google
A well marketed wine bar with average wine options, an average staff that have little to no enthusiasm and is overrun with mean spirited locals that make one feel as though you have invaded their personal space…. And an owner who is too busy currying their favor… (God forbid lady that you put your rat dog in your lap and let a paying customer have a seat. And Patrick, would it hurt you to walk about and talk to ALL your guests?). Definitely a one time / last time experience for us. Sad.

Yelp
This bar is located in the Mazarin Hotel where we stay when we go to New Orleans, and it's still one of our favorite places to enjoy a drink and the eclectic atmosphere of the interior with all of its fascinating and interesting displays everywhere. The staff are fantastic and friendly, and they know how to pour a fantastic cocktail or two.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the vibe at Patrick's Bar Vin, the old art work and puppets were really cool. The wine selection was on point. The owner was at the bar and was a good wonderfully dressed character that added to the overall experience. Would definitely recommend stopping in a glass or 3. Out bartender was warm and inviting, playing an excellent selection of music further enhancing the good vibes.

Yelp
The information about the hours this location is open is completely wrong: we came here at 9pm on Thursday, July 11 hoping we could enjoy some wine , but the gates were closed and it was all dark inside.

Yelp
Patrick's Bar Vin is lovely and is the Krew Cork great place to go. Ask for Ulysses; he is the owner along with Patrick. Ulysses will not steer you wrong on a place to go he was also an intro from Gregory at Boulevard.

Yelp
Patrick treated us to the BEST street party tonite after Jazz Fest. After dinner we were walking back to our hotel and heard the horns and the wine bottle drums and ran to join the party! What a treat! Thank you Patrick!

Yelp
Fun place! Came here twice in the last year! Comfy seating and fun chasing of the bells party ! Loved seeing all of the outfits and hats people come up with!

Yelp
Our first stop in the French Quarter this place is tucked away on one of the side streets. There's a nice outdoor area and a very cool air conditioned seating area inside with lots of couches and chairs to hang out at. Mostly wine, sparkling wine, and various cocktails. Everything was priced reasonably for a wine bar. There are lots of puppets and classic NOLA trinkets and artifacts to look at here as well. If your looking for something more casual near bourbon to hand out and escape the crowds this is a good stop.

Yelp
Beautiful with awesome staff. Great kept secret!! Never get tired of being here! And A wonderful wine selection

Yelp
Tried to give this place another chance after last year's debacle....should have known better. It was like a human car wash up in there. 7 deep just to order a drink and each patron seemed to be either too drunk to be there or of the rude sort. Ended up leaving without ordering anything. Think that's my last time.

Yelp
Very chill bar in the French Quarter. Nice place to relax and have a glass of wine. They even have alcohol free wine and mixed drinks.

Yelp
Was looking forward to going here with the wife for a few drinks after dinner. Looked laid back and a great place. WRONG!!! Good luck in trying to get a drink. Set up is actually confusing. They have menus all over so we found a spot and sat. And sat...and sat...and sat So went to the bar to order, no worries. Had to weasel in between people sitting at the actual bar and I open spot or area to grab a drink and Bartender was to busy yucking it up. Ended up not even ordering and me and my wife went else were. WAY too many bars in the Quarter to go to then to waste time and $$ here. Shame as it actually looked inviting.

Yelp
great cocktails, fast service, comfortable seats. Even will have the game on if that's something you're looking for a reprieve from bourbon street, just a few buildings away from it

Yelp
We enjoyed pre dinner cocktails and wine here almost every night during our weeklong stay at Hotel Mazarin. Classy, quiet place to have a drink away from the Bourbon Street madness and friendly bartenders. We always come here when staying in the Quarter.

Yelp
As a wine bar aficionado I can't believe that I just now discovered Patrick's Bar Vin. In my defense, it's a little closer to Canal than I typically venture, and attached to a hotel, but what a discovery it was! Super chill vibe. Awesome service. Comfy seating in a couple different inside areas or in the smaller courtyard at the main entry or the larger one to the side. Amazing wine list. Bacchanal is more my scene, and Orleans Grape Vine has much better food offerings, but for a glass of wine (or a bottle) and possibly a cheese tray, Patrick's is sure to please. It's also the home base for Krewe of Cork, complete with their posters from the past, which is an added bonus.

Yelp
My husband found this place on Yelp while looking for a classy spot to have a drink before dinner at Brennans during Mardi Gras. It is so cozy and quaint and lots of attention to the details inside. The bartender (is he an owner??) was so kind and graciously explained some of the cocktails to us. Several cute seating areas to enjoy conversation with 1-6 people. It was the perfect find for a before or after dinner drink, nicely hidden amongst the chaos of the French Quarter.

Yelp
Good wine selection but the inside is too cold with AC and the courtyard is too small/in the front with many walk-ins. Can't find a good spot to sit and enjoy a good class of wine.

Yelp
If you are looking for a sexy but elegant location for a glass of wine, look no further. The service is excellent as staff are friendly and full of information about wine and about Nola.

Liz K.

Yelp
Great vibe and charming atmosphere but the bartender is not warm or friendly. We stayed at the hotel and went into the bar 2 different times, same bartender. He picked the couple he wanted to be friendly to and that was it. Did he serve drinks to those at the bar?...yes but did he try to make conversation with others?...NO! Maybe needs to understand hospitality. Loved the bar but won't be back.

Yelp
Was there last week and had a Sazerac that was fire, but stopped in tonight to confirm their hours tomorrow and the bartender was rude af. She told me the closing time, I mentioned that there was a discrepancy with what the website lists and she shrugs, smiles passive aggressively and says "It's just a website...dunno what to tell you!" Bye.

Yelp
A bar that is frequented by locals more than visitors, it was refreshing to try something off the beaten path. What I liked about Patrick's was the decor and the vibe. One bartender ran the place and locked up shop when it was time to go. He was nice and a pleasant person to converse with. I wasn't totally thrilled with the drinks and the prices you paid for said drinks. The French 75 was obviously not much of my thing, but the wines I had were decent, slightly pricey. If the wine tried elsewhere was purchased, I would have paid a couple of dollars less with a healthier pour. Small gripes don't take away from the fact that this place does have some true NoLA charm and with that, I can give my recommendation of checking it out.

Yelp
When you're in the French Quarter you MUST stop by and see Bar Vin! They have a great space with lots of character. The vin and bubbles are divine! Hungry? Grab their charcuterie board! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We stumbled upon Patrick's bar vin... well we stumbled nearby and a gracious bartender directed us here. It's a nice space, the type that makes you want to grab a drink and chat about everything, and then go ahead and order a few more. I can't speak for the wine as I was trying to drink my way down a list of must-have-in-new-Orleans cocktails but it was easy to order and the drinks were delicious. I thought overall service and experience were great! And I recommended this bar to a local friend who lives in the garden district.

Yelp
NOLA is all about it's cocktails so whats a wine chick like me supposed to do when i'm not in the mood for another cocktail. There are plenty of wine at restaurants and at the cocktail bars too but sometimes it's nice to be at a bar that is all about the wine. After being married in town a few days earlier, he was happy to visit a bar of my choice but he wasn't excited when I chose Patrick's since he prefers cocktails and beer. Thankfully he was openminded and we got a couple glasses of wine and found that we really liked the people that were here to drink. We sat outside and met some locals that gave us suggestions for any restaurants and bars we haven't already visited in the past. They were so nice that it really made out time here wonderful.

Yelp
Holy atmosphere! This place has always been on of my faves- tucked away right off the beaten path of the craziness of Burbon St is this quaint, upscale wine bar. It's so relaxing and calm. Enjoy a glass of their "best kept secret" wines at incredible prices inside a beautiful and relaxing courtyard! I hope they reopen soon bc they are so missed! Can't wait to toast again with friends!

Yelp
Normally a favorite place for us. Went tonite and drank $20 a glass wine out of plastic cups. Get it together, keep this up and we won't be back.

Yelp
What would we do in a world without Yelp? I know my group would never have stumbled upon Patrick's Bar Vin, a true slice of wine paradise hidden next to the debauchery of Bourbon Street! Visiting town during my friends bachelorette party, we needed to chill out for a little bit the afternoon following a crazy classic night out on Bourbon Street. Who doesn't like conversation over wine? Patrick's Bar Vin was the perfect spot for this. The five of us fit perfectly around the middle leather spot. The ambiance was absolutely on point - dark, beautifully decorated and a total 180 from the dirty bars on Bourbon. The wine selection was also excellent and I believe the price was reasonable for such a classy joint. We also ordered the charcuterie board which paired up perfectly with our wines. We were served by a single bartender holding the place down who was knowledgeable & friendly. Not many others came in after our group which kept the atmosphere very relaxed. You won't find the rowdy Bourbon crowds here - this is more of an older, sophisticated crowd. All in all, if you like wine & conversation to get away from the craziness of Bourbon, make sure you come over to Patrick's.

Yelp
I like this place. No food, but plenty of reasonably priced wines by the glass. I had a glass of Patrick's Best Kept Secret sparkling rosé for $7 and it was great. Pretty courtyard to sit in and enjoy your vino with some peace and quiet amidst the craziness of the French Quarter.

Yelp
Love this wine bar. It is very intimate and classy, yet very casual. Service was great and the wine recommendations were wonderful. We go every time we visit.

Yelp
After walking through the neon lights and stumbling drunk folks of Bourbon street, this wine bar was such a breath of fresh air!! The ambiance was quite classy and had large cozy sitting areas. We were suddenly surrounded by people in suits and business casual attire...there was one guy decked out in a Santa outfit though props to him for the holiday spirit. My friend and I ordered reds to keep ourselves warm. I had the Cabernet Sauvignon and she had the merlot; both were generous pours for only $7! If you're looking to step away from the night crowds of NOLA, definitely stop by here!

Yelp
Now this is a bar I can see myself in again and again. Nice atmosphere with comfortable seating made for socializing. Went with a group and the bar easily accommodated us. Service was great and the owner was behind the bar. A little more detail. Oils be taken to the restrooms but for the most part they were decent and clean. Will be hanging here again. If you are in the area, pop in fir a casual not too loud drink with friends.

Yelp
Classic style bar with a very friendly and highly skilled bartender!

Yelp
We love this little hole in the wall bar. We went here because our sons name is Patrick so we definitely had to try it. We were not disappointed. We just had a glass of red wine and it was very good. Service was great. We had a view to the street and watched a parade go by. Cozy fun little place. We will go back when we come back in town.

Yelp
Last Friday, following a successful product launch I visited this bar with colleagues and close friends. With intentions of having an eventful evening of fellowship, we opted to gather together in an intimate environment like Bar Vin. In honor of the celebration I purchased a bottle of Prosecco and started a tab just in case. To begin with, the customer service was horrible. The bartender did not greet us and when I did say hello he replied with "what can I get you?". At 11:08 I ordered the bottle or Prosecco and all she said what's, "how many glasses?." Really cold. It is important to not I received my first notification at this time for the authorization charge. Due to the repeated unwelcoming antics we all collectively found it best we leave as we were feeling unwarranted discomfort; we didn't even finish the bottle. I then asked the bartender to close me out and it took nearly 15 minutes for him to bring me a receipt. I initially asked him to split the check, he said "ok" but proceeded to bring me one bill, with my card charged. Fine. At 11:42 I received the first notification of a charge. At 12:24, while at another establishment I received a second notification of an additional charge. First thing Saturday, I contacted the bar and was greeted with yet another unwelcoming bartender. She assured me that the charges would drop Monday morning, but having been a bartender for half a decade before, I knew it was nonsense and found it imperative to speak with a manager. Thankfully, Ronald the manager on duty exercised a bit of pro-activeness in the moment. After reviewing the POS, he confirmed that there was a duplicate charge on my account and assured me that the accountant will take care of it on Monday. He did not make the initiative to take any of my information so I suggested I send him an email with screenshots of the charges. I followed-up with him Tuesday and knew with all certainty he had not addressed the situation with his team. The accounting team opted to blame the situation on my bank citing sometimes it takes 10-Business days for duplicate charges to "drop". I frequent bars regularly and have never had this problem. I open tabs regularly and have never had this problem. It was unfortunate enough to enter an establishment and feel unwelcome by all of the staff; it even more disheartening to have an issue as a result of a shortcoming of their team and/or their system but not even be acknowledged as patron. I have a successful career, yes, but regardless I value every cent I earn. If I am patronizing your business, even though I wasn't respected as a customer, I would at least assume my money would be valued. There are so many amazing hotels, bars, and restaurants here in New Orleans; this is not one of them. Please patronized the establishments that value you as a human being, guests, and customer. Horrible. (It is important to note this is my first review EVER)

Yelp
So I'm gonna give this a solid 5 stars. You want a classy place with a classy old timers feel? Then this is it. I have been to many wine bars but this one makes you feel like you are at home. We ordered some wine that our bar tender had to help me with ( I don't know a damn thing about wine). Her name was Lauren I do believe. She was very nice and very classy. She suggested the cheese spread and it was amazing. I didn't want to leave. So if you are looking for a chance to taste some great wines and champagne in NOLA do your soul a favor and head on down and kick back.

Yelp
You would never know you're in the French Quarter! And that's a good thing! Literally just a couple dozen steps off Bourbon street, once you walk into the courtyard you enter a completely different world than the one barely audible outside the gate. Walk further into the bar and you feel a sense of refined isolation, surrounded only by comfy seating, amazing wines, and people who share the same love for the subtleties of sipping and enjoying good wine. It's like you've escaped to a far better place. And really, you have! Knowledgable staff, huge wine selection, reasonable prices, a great environment...this is THE place for catching a breath, slowing your pace, letting yourself settle into a much better place... So relax, peruse the extensive wine list, contemplate the joys of that first sip when your tastebuds say "yeses!" Yeah, this is THAT place. So good. So deserved. Welcome to a better life. Love it.

Wayne C.

Yelp
This place has a great decor. Wine choices are limited and priced high. This place could also use some small nibbles. A little cheese or meet charcuterie and you can hang out here all night!
google avatar

Mac R.

Yelp
Super cute & comfortable spot to sit at the bar, find a more intimate space for 2, join a group on the couches or sit outside and enjoy some really delightful wines. The wines by the glass from their basic menu are well priced and offer some great choices for sparkling, whites and reds. You can also get adventurous off their extensive wine list by bottle. Many of these bottles can be sampled by the glass, as well. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and can guide you to something you'll love. We found ourselves returning a few times to Patrick's. Great space that we highly recommend!

Yelp
I think I may have new favorite Quarter bar! This is a really cozy spot, I love the atmosphere and the whole place just feels "old New Orleans/Europe" to me. On the night we were here we sat at the bar and had some champagne. The vibe here is very laid back and relaxed, and on this particular night, it was a thin crowd and Patrick was walking around talking to customers and having a good time. There's an outside patio area that I am eager to check out when the weather gets a little cooler. The best part about the place is that it's close to Bourbon for those who want to be near the "action", but not in it, but it has yet to be over run with obnoxious tourists (I love tourists, but not the ones who only come to New Orleans to get wasted). I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We, people of a certain age, we're walking around Bourbon Street looking for a good place to have a drink that was neither a rip off nor so over packed with people that you need to ask someone to move to take a drink. Imagine our shock when. we turned a corner and saw wine barrels!!! And cute little wine bar. And best of all, a place with some very affordable but very good house wines. If you are looking for a cool place near Bourbon Street and aren't into excessive noise, drunkenness, and beads thrown toward women that no one wants to see flash, defiantly check this gem out.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Great place for wine and whiskey. We have been here 2x for Obit Happy Hours. Beautiful decor, including the courtyard. Love the marionettes hanging around the place. Wine selection is good and you almost feel as if you are in France or Italy. Cozy, and seating that is inviting.

Yelp
Five stars ought to be doled out sparingly, and this is the third five stars in NOLA in as many days. Wow. She and I wanted to have a light lunch, being 2pm and with dinner reservations at Angeline at 7, so we stopped here. I like everything about this place, the entrance on Royal is through a gate way with a few tables and two little garden fountain - one with your typical putto. You walk inside into a cozy foyer with tables into the main room with a long bar to the right and more tables. Patrick's is a wine bar, and the list is extensive and well priced. They don't have a kitchen but serve cheese, and cheese with cold cuts platter. We ordered the latter and chewed through it with two glasses of red each. Great service, great wine, and the platter was just what the doctor ordered. Go here

Yelp
BEWARE! They fraudulently charged my credit card and after a month of arguing they still can't get it right. Someone at our table purchased a bottle of Dom and gave them their credit card. I purchased a much cheaper bottle and gave them my card. They charged me correctly (at first). I paid for this and have the receipt. Later the other person's charge didn't go through. Instead of asking them to check their card they decided to just charge my card for the $500. It took about 10 different phone calls to realize what happened because the receipt said "hotel Mazarin". Once we finally realized it was the bar I discussed it with them and the other person's name was even printed on the receipt. The bartender at first said, "well you drank some of the champagne". After arguing that I didn't order it and told my friend not to buy it, he laughed that he remembered me saying that?!?!? They had reversed my original purchase and charged me for his full tab without my authority. I gave them the phone number to the person who they should have charged and he paid via the phone. Unfortunately they only partially reversed my charge. It has been over a month and this has been the most frustrating incident I have ever incurred. I understand that mistakes happen but to let this drag out like they have and with lack of communication is very unprofessional. I feel that I have nothing left but relay the experience here. The sad part is we didn't realize that this happened until we got home. We spent a lot of money there and for 2 nights after this so they had plenty of opportunity to correct their mistake. They even remembered our order the next day and still never told us they decided to charge someone else's card.

Yelp
Visited tonight with my husband to meet a few friends coming to town. By no means a regular, but have been here a few times. Bar was very empty, maybe 5-7 others inside. My husband left his phone at the bar and we walked a few steps away. Can admit it wasn't the smartest, but the bar was empty and I could damn near reach the phone, our backs weren't even turned. Noticed a guy come up & touch the phone, which made me pay attention. Within the minute, the phone had disappeared. I walked up to the man & asked what happened to the phone on the counter, to which he replied "I have it," after a few seconds of silence. Proceeded to pull my husbands phone out of his pocket. I let the bartender know, and he described it as a misunderstanding. We weren't aware grand larceny was a misunderstanding - but I guess the rules change for regulars. Don't recommend unless you feel like being harassed & stolen from while spending your cash that spends the same as a regular. Did not even ask the thief to leave. The female bartender seemed much more perturbed, but the male bartender consistently described the theft as a misunderstanding.

Yelp
:-( Uh... Patrick - you need to spend more time minding the wine bar...! :-( Gorgeous interior - someone spent a fortune. But I didn't like their by-the-glass red wine selections, at all, and I'm a trained wine judge in a major wine competition. And the bartender (a dyed redhead) needs to take some friendly pills and grow a personality. I wanted to love this place. It is clearly someone's dream and they spend a fortune on it. But I couldn't - wine bars live and die by their wine, and I was very unimpressed. Granted, I only looked at the by-the-glass menu, but I tasted 4 different reds and didn't like ANY of them. Wine bars also live and die by their servers, and ours was quite unwelcoming.

Yelp
The unpredictability of New Orleans dining and drinking establishments is part of our Bohemian adventure. I had passed by Patrick's Bar Vin dozens of times on my way over to Restaurant R'evolution. I decided on this quiet Friday evening to step out for a night cap at this well known New Orleans wine bar.  The place was empty at about 11:30. There were two women sitting at the bar and an elderly gentleman dressed in what I thought was some sort of pretentious dandy attire. Being in the mood for a vodka drink, I ordered a Moscow mule. The bartender did an admirable job of assembling the drink in the proper proportions, and it hit the spot from the first sip.  The bar itself is comfortable, and well appointed. The woman next to me initiated a conversation about assorted summer cocktails and we made innocuous bar chit chat in a polite and cordial way.  This is where my visit became mildly amusing. This same woman began to have a conversation with this person dressed in what appeared to be some sort of costume. Considering she had just been conversing with me, I thought I would be friendly and join their conversation which was about Russia from which my family immigrated in the early 1900s.  Upon which the strangely attired dandy informed me that he felt it was unacceptable for me to converse with this same woman who just had initiated a conversation with me. He then became hostile and animated about his insistence that I leave the bar.  Really, this happened. The owner of Patrick's ...Patrick Van Hoorebeek requested I leave his place of business  because he somehow felt threatened that I talked to the woman sitting next to him.  It would be comical if he were not so pathetic. I told him here in America we have freedom of speech, and can converse with anyone we please without any need for his permission. I was just being friendly, which I thought was a tradition here in New Orleans.  His response was I only purchased one drink, and my business was of no importance to him. He again told me to leave.  There is sometimes a fine line between being an interesting and somewhat eccentric character, and being a small thinking insecure fool. I have been here since Katrina, and never once have I experienced such rude and inappropriate behavior from any restaurant owner. This man's sense of self importance and entitlement is simply inexcusable. What restaurant owner would demand a patron leave for conversing with another patron sitting at the bar? I paid for my drink and left. I will expect from him an apology for such outlandish behavior. Perhaps he had too much to drink, in which case I will forgive him. If not, I certainly intend to tell this story in all the assorted restaurant evaluations and blogs available.  I did nothing whatsoever deserving for Mr. Van Hoorebeek to demonstrate such rude and unprofessional behavior. Perhaps instead of a fashion coordinator he needs a good psychologist.

Yelp
This bar is attached to the Hotel Mazarin and we decided to try it out. We were completely charmed by the lush decor. Dimly lit rooms, luxuriously plump sofas and chairs. Decorated expensively and it was very cozy. Our bartender wasn't exactly friendly. She was an unnatural redhead that just had a very briskly efficient manner that was a bit off putting. We asked for a restaurant recommendation. We took her advice. The place she suggested was awful ! Drinks are outrageously priced ! A glass on wine was close to $15 and really only a few meager sips. My boyfriend's cocktail was $16.00. $16.00 for a Rusty Nail.......I am not averse to spending freely while on vacation, but there was really no value here at all.

Yelp
Great place for a before or after dinner drink. Staff and owner were very knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent selection of wines and some hard to find / import beers. We will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Was excited about the ambiance of this place, and the fact that it was a wine bar, in the midst of smelly, boozy Bourbon Street dives. Was disappointed. Bartender did not leave bar, had to walk up and order from her. Glasses of wine were overpriced, cheapest glass was $10. There should be more mid-price options. Patio looks super cute.

Yelp
OK, so I gave a thumbs down to the intro photo b/c it is NOT HELPFUL!! Anyway, this wine bar just exudes super intimacy. I thought it only served wine...nope! I went inside and realized they were having some mayor for new orleans election party and noticed that they have a full bar! I also noticed that despite it being full of drunk politicians inside (lol) it looked quite cozy and intimate. There were sofas by the entrance away from the party and an awesome courtyard right in front. Tonight was busy so I didnt care about not having waiter service. I just got my drinks inside and came back out. This is a grrreeat spot to get away from the craziness (just don't come mid October during election night). I will def hit this spot up again next time I come. I can only take 2 crazy nights in Bourbon St., lol...the rest are days to explore unknowns outside of Bourbon!

Yelp
This place is basically Narnia. You walk through the door and turn your back on the insanity that is Bourbon St., and you suddenly are in a quiet, friendly wine bar, wondering what on earth it's doing there! Staff was friendly and helpful, selection of wine is absolutely great! A great spot if you want a bit of refuge before hitting the hustle and bustle again.
