Pattternz is such a unique dining experience. It's a Syrian restaurant, so even though some of the dishes sound like what you might find at your typical Sterling Heights Middle Eastern restaurant, the flavors here are different and absolutely worth a try. For example, the garlic is generally dialed down in comparison and other spices are added, giving really distinct flavors that you can't find anywhere else. My wife and I come here just about every week because it's so addictive. In addition, you'll find a lot of dishes that you can't find anywhere else. For appetizers, we're addicted to Mutabel, which is an eggplant dip sort of similar to baba ghanoush, and it's so good that we can never pass it up. Their lentil soup is absolutely delicious and again tastes different than any other lentil soup I've had. It has a very rich broth, possibly flavored with some lamb and is just super tasty. We love their dinner plates which come with very flavorful rice (or fries) and a small salad and usually some hummous. Everything we've tried here tastes like it's made with love and care, sort of like a homemade meal made by your favorite grandma. At the same time, it's very elevated and sophisticated. The service is always top notch too. We absolutely love this place.
