A vibrant two-level spot where fans gather to savor delicious Jamaican patties and punch, all while enjoying great music and a lively atmosphere.
"Patty Boom Boom served as a major hub for Jamaican culture in D.C. It closed in 2015 but returned for one night in late February, attracting over 140 people. Former bartenders Tim Slayton and Jay Bynum organized the successful event and plan to make it a regular occurrence. The venue struggled financially due to rising rents in the gentrified neighborhood, but it was cherished as a place where Black people could gather, dance, and have fun." - Lenore Adkins
