"From the first bite of crispy salty homemade chips to the last sip of a perfectly made classic margarita, the food and drinks at this family-run Nonantum taqueria hit the spot. Chef and owner Avelina Saavedra grew up in Michoacán, Mexico, where she learned to cook at her father’s taqueria. Pátzcuaro’s menu predominantly includes food that reflects Saavedra’s hometown like tacos, flautas, tostadas, and tortas." - Carolyn Grillo

"Named after the beautiful lakeside city in the Mexican state of Michoacán, Pátzcuaro is a charming Newton restaurant with a devoted local following. The picturesque pambazo, with sandwich bread soaked in a guajillo chile sauce and then fried, is especially great here." - Nathan Tavares, Eater Staff

Google
Patzcuaro continually shows why it is one of the most underrated restaurants in the Greater Boston area. Everything from the food, the drinks, to the service was absolutely top of the line. By far one of the best guacamoles I have EVER had, not to mention the flautas, tacos, and even the tres leches cake - all amazing. I’d give 10 stars if I could, and I can’t wait to go back.

Had a great time at our friends wedding here. Food was great and atmosphere was awesome. I didn't have any drinks but all I heard was how good they were. I had some spicy crispy grilled taco thing that was amazing.

Found this hidden gem on Instagram one day and the birria tacos served here looked insane so of course I had to try it! The restaurant is small but the staff are super sweet. You can try and walk in; however, the place does fill up quickly so try and get a reservation if you can! Started off with an order of guacamole and chips with some salsa and upon first glance it looks pretty regular. But the first bite of the guacamole and you can feel how smooth and zesty it's been made. The salsa was also delicious with some heat! For entrees ordered the Al pastor burrito and of course the birria tacos. The burrito was massive and a very interesting take on a burrito as it was crispy and seared well unlike most burritos which are usually quick soft and floppy. But no flops here. Pair each bite with the guac or salsa and it's perfect moving on to the star of the show, why I came here! The birria looks amazing. I loved how crispy the fried cheese was. Similar to the burrito, most birria taco spots make a wet and floppy taco, but no flops here!! The meat was super tender and you can tell it's been stewed inside the consume for hours maybe even days?! Each bite was better than the last. My only warning is due be mindful of how much consume you're consuming as it's a little salty and you might not notice it until after you've left the restaurant or even the next day.

Our neighborhood go to!! The food is AMAZING here, especially their burritos. Most def a must!! I love that it is a family owned business too. Everyone is so friendly and nice. The perfect spot for delicious bites and margaritas!

Google
This place was an all star and all around great experience! I don't remember the last time eating food at a restaurant that was so good that I cleaned my plates off! But here, I did and finished every last chip and dip and food we had, it was that great and flavourful! Guacamole was perfect and probably the best I've had, tortilla chips were super fresh, crispy and not oily at all which was surprising to me since they're always kinda where most mexican restaurants falter. I had the veggie tostados which were delicious, packed and just the right serving to fill you up properly by your last bite. My partner had the flautas which were packed with meat and had a nice smoky, umami, spicy flavour to it. The elotes were excellent because of the sauce and overall the service was extremely attentive and helpful. Each member of the staff greeted and served us with a radiant smile which only comes when you're really proud of the place you work at and the food you serve. Lastly, this was by far the cleanest and nicest bathroom I've ever seen in a restaurant that didn't smell like a bathroom at all! All the details in the bathroom spoke of someone thoughtful behind it. Multiple hooks, spacious, good and refreshing air freshener that wasn't overpowering and a giant mirror, stuff that's hard to get right and maintain! I highly recommend this womxn owned small business for its excellent service and food! Don't pay attention to the reviews that complain of food being salty or whatever because they're clearly not used to well seasoned food that actually has flavours. The seasoning in every dish we had was just right. Thank you for the wonderful food and this surely won't be the last time I visit this place! PS there's plenty of free parking further up the street and on side streets if you don't want to park in metered spots!

We ate here on a whim, hoping for the best and then we were blown away by how delicious everything was!! We ordered a hefty plate of birria tacos, savory yet light flautas, and 2 desserts. Because. Go here. Make the trip out to this suburb. You won’t regret it!

Google
I visited Patscuaro Taqueria today to celebrate a friend's birthday. It's like a hidden gem Mexican spot, with attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. While the food was decent, it didn't exceed expectations. The guacamole was delicious, but the salsa lacked heat and flavor. I opted for Birria tacos, my favorite, but it felt like they were missing something, though I couldn't quite pinpoint it. Despite this, the service, ambiance, and prices were excellent, and I would still recommend it. Everyone's taste is different, so just because it wasn't perfect for me doesn't mean others won't enjoy it."

One of the best Mexican food joints I have ever been to. Family run - they take great pride in their food.

Susan D.

Yelp
I've lived here for awhile but somehow never stopped in. I've truly been missing out. The best Birria tacos. And excellent house made flan. Also enjoyed the margarita choices. Friendly service- I felt like a regular. Very flexible menu. I wanted to try a few things and they easily accommodated- for example, I was able to get fewer than 3 Birria tacos. I've already been back. Make a reservation- it's not a large place. Family owned and operated.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by for an early dinner Saturday night. It was 5:15 we had no reservations there were 3 tables seated and the rest of the restaurant was empty. We were offered a table by the front door or two seats at the small bar, we chose the bar. We were greeted by a friendly bartender shaking drinks. She handed us a small square of paper and said you can scan this for the menu. This is one thing since the pandemic that I think we need to have the option of real menus if we would like. I really do not like having to switch sites. As for the food, we ordered the guacamole, chips and salsa to start. Be gluten free and chips are made out of house they made fresh chips. They were outstanding and took my mind right off the menus the guac and salsa had a little kick to each. My husband had the spicy margaritas I had the fresa which was delicious. For dinner my husband had the sausage and chicken burrito and I had two tacos. Both were delight definitely did not need or want the potatoes served on the side with them. The food is wonderful here. We both recommend!

Yelp
The restaurant was easy to find and there was tons of street parking which is *thumbs up*. I loved that the place felt cozy. You can definitely tell it was a family owned restaurant - warm and inviting. Service was good. Place was busy but we didn't feel ignored. The staff were pretty quick to check in on us, refill our waters, and clean our plates so I'm v satisfied. We ordered the guac and GOSH. YES. If you get ANYTHING from this place, get the guac. I agree it was expensive but #worth. I could eat a large bowl of this by myself and be very happy. We also ordered the flautas and they were solid too. We honestly could have stopped here and/or got dessert but I think we were too excited... I got the al pastor, chorizo, and carne asada tacos and my friend got the jefe al pastor burrito. They weren't joking when they said the jefe burrito was large. IT WAS HUGE. Tacos were pretty good! Al pastor was my favorite. I didn't have room for dessert :( But I will come back just to try the churros!

Eugene W.

Yelp
Guacamole and chips: This was ~excellent~. The guac tasted so fresh. I could clearly taste every ingredient. Only problem was that it's tiny. We got a medium, which was almost $10. Birria: Delicious! Consomme was great, meat was tender and juicy. The shells were on point. At $20 for 3, not too bad of a price. These are definitely more worth it than the $6 normal tacos. Al Pastor: Taco was pretty good. The caramelized onions and potatoes on the side were a nice addition as well. $6 per taco is a bit insane. These are the worst deal here. Tres Leches: $8 for a small slice of cake? Stay away. This tres leches was not good at all. Didn't taste bad, but it wasn't moist at all. Pretty dry to the point of graininess, actually. Definitely need some more leche in this cake. Overall, they have some really overpriced menu items but make up for it with some of their less overpriced stuff. You should definitely get their burritos over their tacos. Service was incredibly slow and lackluster. Make a reservation in advance, as this restaurant can book out sometimes.

Yelp
Flavors - 4/5 Textures - 4.5/5 Presentation - 4/5 Value for Money - 4/5 Would return? Yes Must-try: chips & guac The standout feature was undeniably the chips and guac. The house-made chips were salty and crispy, complementing the chunky, mildly spicy guacamole. The tacos are generous in size and had substantial fillings. Al pastor stole the spotlight. The mixed carne asada with chorizo brings some heat but leans a bit on the dry side. Unfortunately, the chicken tacos and birria failed to impress due to a discernible lack of depth in flavor. The tostadas were good though! Maintaining a crispy integrity throughout consumption, they lacked a bit of salt and a salsa.

Yelp
Ever walk into a restaurant and feel like they hate their customers? It says they close at 9pm, arrived a few minutes before 8:30. The server said they stopped seating at 8:30, I offered to eat quick and said it was still before 8:30, she said it didn't matter and I could only do take out. Plenty of empty tables were available. I asked if I could order a margarita while I waited, and it looked like it physically pained the server to allow me a drink while I waited for take out. Margarita - It was good but they mixed up the spicy and regular margarita. Burrito - loved the outside as it came toasted, which was a nice touch since not many places do that. Taco - The steak taco was ok, pretty bland. There was an extra one I didn't order, and for a second I thought "that was nice". Then I looked at the receipt and I was charged for one I didn't order. Tres Leches - There was so little Tres Leches sauce I questioned if I had wronged the server in a previous life. The driest Tres Leches I've ever had. A sad Tres Leches Edit: The comment by the owner says it all, just didn't care about the treatment of the customer, mistakes, dry tres leches or bad service.

Yelp
EAT HERE!!! This unassuming restaurant really delivers. Five stars all around: food, service, casual and homey ambiance. It is family run by a mom and her 4 children. Everything is made with so much love. My kid has refused avocado his entire life and ate half of our guacamole. The cocktails, burritos, tacos, and elote are not to be missed. The hot sauce variety is outstanding. Service is so genuine and sweet. Love, love, love. Make a reservation, they're popular!

Dan D.

Yelp
A chill atmosphere; gorgeous, flavorful, and textured apps and entrees; and an attentive staff, even in the face of a crowded 8 PM Friday dinner room, make Pátzcuaro a solid option for Mexican. This meal could make your night. My friends and I tumbled in and were onto our third and fourth margaritas before we knew it, encouraged by their long, delicious finish. The chips and salsa were surprisingly and pleasantly spicy, and well salted. My steak burrito, in the middle chiquillo size, was just enough food not to have any leftovers. A crunchy tortilla and rich texture from the beans, steak, and other fillings made it a joy to eat. I'm glad we ended up here!

Yelp
One of my favorite Mexican places in town! Must try. The food and the service are great.

Yelp
Great food tasty drinks always try horchata when they have and they did not disappoint. Tacos were awesome they make their own tortilla - always a good sign Ceviche quality do not forget to get the churros before you leave Even if you are full. They are worth it!

Julie T.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant with friendly staff. They should bottle their salsa, sooo good ! We started with their delicious salsa , chips and guacamole. All fresh and delicious. Chips crispy and light. The Birria tacos came out hot from the kitchen/ were very tasty and filling! Finished off with the tres leches cake which was light and moist snd the churros. Everything was delicious. And spicy margarita was yummy and refreshing , recommend the timer with chili powder. Nice cozy restaurant !

Yelp
I've been to Pátzcuaro a couple of times now and I don't know why I didn't discover this place sooner. I really enjoy the food here and will go back there again.

Tommie R.

Yelp
We had a great experience here. It's a small restaurant, but really friendly staff. When we came, our service was a little slow, but the server was alone so she did great given the fact that the restaurant was full. Parking was on the street and is metered to be sure to check if it's active or if it's free. For us, we were able to park right in front. For drinks, my boyfriend started with a bottled Victoria beer-you can't go wrong! I had their michelada with a modelo negra-my absolute favorite. The flavor of the michelada was perfect. They put hot sauce on the rim dipped in Tajín-it was such a great compliment to the drink. My daughter had the kids quesadilla and she LOVED it. We shared the birria tacos and got the tostadas. For the tostadas, we had two Al Pastor and one asada (bistek). The tostadas were served with these cute clay like cups for the salsa. We were given one salsa verde and one chipotle salsa. The salsa verde had a little kick and was personally my favorite. The tostada was so flavorful and protein wise-the Al pastor was my favorite. This is such a great Mexican restaurant with quality and authentic Mexican food. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Jared C.

Yelp
Best burritos in the Boston area. I got the carne asada and chorizo mix, AMAZING! Their tacos are good as well, great margaritas, great guac, delicious churros (came with caramel and chocolate sauce), great bartender and ambience. Highly recommend this place.

Vincent S.

Yelp
I don't normally write Yelp reviews, but I feel this place deserved one. One of the best Mexican restaurants around. I took a trip to LA recently where I thought I would be blown away by their tacos but nope! The Patzcuaro street style tacos have stayed at the top for me. Something about the potatoes and onion make it different than a lot of other spots. It is a small family owned restaurant so take what you will with that. I do wish they were easier to get to since I come up from the south shore just for their food. I've brought co workers and they've consistently said the food was phenomenal as well.

Jennifer Q.

Yelp
Incredibly authentic and delicious food! The salsa and guacamole are so fresh and flavorful. The staff is very friendly. It's simple dining and a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We will definitely go again!

matthewj j.

Yelp
I don't know why I only gave 4 stars the first time. ‍. This is an updated review. Don't think. Order Birria when you sit down. If you are vegan, order Birria then return to veganism at your leisure. Enjoy Birria.

Christine C.

Yelp
Just wow! Everything is so fresh. The salsa and the guacamole are some of the best I've had outside of Southern California. I had steak, carnitas, and shrimp tacos. Each of these were delicious and so freshly prepared. Definitely a great spot for Mexican!

Soul D.

Yelp
Loved this place after a first try! We sat at the bar which was kind of awkward to eat at with the seats they had. But everything else exceeded my expectations. My pambazo with chorizo was excellent, and so was my dads burrito. The waitress brought out various hot sauces and salsas for us to try, all were great. Service was warm and attentive. A little more pricey than I was used to for Mexican, but I'd say it's worth it.

Keith B.

Yelp
Please don't tell anyone this is the best Mexican around. Forget Chipotle, Quodoba or any other version. These burritos are amazing. The ingredients are all flavored perfectly. Even take out, it's hot all the way through. The burrito is finished on the grill making the tortilla just a bit crispy. The taquitos and other apps are terrific. Homemade hot sauces do not disappoint. Even the side dishes are excellent. But don't tell anyone. It's already hard enough to get a table.

Amanda H.

Yelp
Really delicious food! The burrito was just the right amount of crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. It tasted very fresh and it had a nice mix of spice and sweet. We got a great selection of sauces to add more heat if desired. It was a casual atmosphere and amazing and kind waiters and waitresses! My drink was light and refreshing and my daughters lemonade was made in house and tasted great. The dishes were served quickly and they look delicious and taste even better! 5 star restaurant! We will definitely come back to try more of these excellent dishes!

Kathy N.

Yelp
The food here is amazinggg. Had chips and guacamole for the table to start and it did not disappoint. You can really taste the avocado and all other flavors were complementary to it rather than overpowering it. I really appreciated that it wasn't that salty either. When paired with the chips, you have the perfect combo. I personally had the birria tacos with beef broth and it was so delicious. Super flavorful combo when you pair the tacos with the broth and it comes with three varying degrees of hot sauces (I think the red one is the least spicy). I also had the mango marg with tajin which offers a bit of spice that goes nicely with the sweetness of the mango. Overall, this place is a gem from the food to the great service. You will definitely need to check this place out. Go now!

Yelp
I just moved to Newton and went here a few days ago with out of town friends. What a wonderful surprise! This rather small l, family-run restaurant is decorated to be warm and inviting, with some interesting art pieces. We had the best guacamole and salsa we have had in a while with fresh, delicious tortilla chips! We devoured them and I ordered the al pastor tacos, which were very flavorful. My friend was ecstatic about the birria he ordered. Drinks (margaritas) were great as well. To end the meal, my friends ordered the tres leches cake, of which I had a few bites. This dessert tends to be dry and unexciting at most other places and is therefore not my favorite; not so at this place.....it was delicious and not dry at all (not soggy either)! Service was incredibly warm and friendly too. All in all, I will be a frequent visitor to this restaurant. Kudos to the team that runs Patzcuaros!

Eliza D.

Yelp
I am in constant shock that this place isn't yet packed day in and day out. Go here before the influencers find out about it!! We've been at least 5 times over 7-8 months, and every time the food is fantastic, margaritas are perfect, the service is friendly and attentive, and the overall ambiance/experience feels like a hug. Could not recommend this place more!

Radhika J.

Yelp
If you are in the mood for some authentic Mexican food head here...a little family owned restaurant serving delicious food and Margaritas. We were so hungry so thhe pictures are blurry but the food is far far away from thay... muy delicioso!! Paula, the owner, was so nice and welcoming. Try their different salsas for extra heat. Go go here asap!!

Amy A.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful service and delicious food. The salsa was spicy and fresh. Will return!

T L.

Yelp
What a great place! Check out menu first since it is not the standard Mexican restaurant. Margaritas are the best. The Pambazo torta is a must try. Tacos: try a few. The tres leches is a perfect sweet. Nice staff and good service. Make a reservation on weekends.

Kiki W.

Yelp
The tacos were absolutely incredible, the elote was delicious, the margaritas were superb, the flautas were fantastic! It's a bright, welcoming atmosphere which is unsurprising when you realize is run by a very kind family serving mouth-watering authentic cuisine. 10/10 I absolutely recommend thing place!

Marita F.

Yelp
Excellent food and drinks. Friendly staff. Great presentation with everything including desert.

Joanna A.

Yelp
Love this place. Margaritas are wonderfully fresh and all natural. Authentic. We've been twice and sat at the tiny bar because it's busy on Saturday nights and that's all available. But it's cozy and the bartender is lovely and friendly. Our order took a long time but we weren't in a hurry. They may have been backed up. We had street corn and chips to start. I didn't live it, the corn wasn't sweet and not enough cheese. Great chips. Ordered shrimp and carnitas tacos. Only $6 each! Shrimp was spicier than I like. But 4 shrimp which was generous. Carnitas were great. We enjoy this restaurant! The dining room is cozy but the front room kind of sterile. Only 2 extra tables there and I wouldn't want to sit there! Overall I recommend checking out.

Cindy H.

Yelp
Food is piping hot, fresh, and flavorful. Guac and chips were fresh - I love seeing the greasiness of the chips right out of the fryer. Flautas were probably the best I've had in the state. I tried three different tacos and they were all unique and tasty. Birria was very beefy but lacking salt. If I had to call something out, I wish they had better hot sauce because the three they include are not that flavorful for me (keep in mind this is coming from someone whose taste buds are dead due). Margaritas were great but a bit on the small side. I highly recommending getting the Tajin spicy rim instead of sugar or salt. I made sure to lick every bit of spice off my glasses before leaving. Staff is amazing, so friendly and attentive.

Vy T.

Yelp
If you want to feel the warmth and comfort of a family recipe, check this place out. It was delicious, warm, hit all my Mexican cravings. Everyone was friendly while serving a completely full restaurant. My only regret was not having tried this place years ago! New favorite Mexican place

Aimee J.

Yelp
What a great find this place was! I was going to another restaurant nearby and the wait was too long. Pátzcuaro has a casual atmosphere with the best Mexican food I've had in New England. The burritos were delicious!

Cristina R.

Yelp
We had a stellar Mexican meal here!! The guac is simply some of the BEST I've ever had! Creamy and fresh with nice tomato chunks and served with fresh, crispy chips. Get the large. You won't regret it. And you WILL finish it. For my meal, I ordered the shrimp and al pastor tacos upon a friend's recommendation. Each was delish, with a great blend of flavors and ingredients. The two tacos were served with some caramelized onions and a potato on the side. First time I've seen this - but I'm into it! For drinks, I tried the blackberry marg first and then the dragonfruit marg. The colors of the drinks were so vibrant, you can pick to have either a salt or sugar rum, and they tasted great. Only complaint is that they were served in plastic cups, and we all know drinks taste better in glass. Overall an amazing spot that I look forward to frequenting!

Enzo M.

Yelp
Overall: Food is really good! Service is quick and attentive. Prices are a bit on the higher end, especially for portion sizes. The rating is probably between a 4-4.5 and definitely recommend. Food: The food is good. Chips and salsa are fantastic--we usually end up asking for a second order; I haven't ordered the guacamole yet because it is expensive at 14 dollars. The pambazo (with chorizo) is also really good and is probably my favorite item on the menu, although I wish the portion size was 25% larger. I've had the tacos before and they're ok. The birria tacos were a bit disappointing--a tad bit too salty and the consome didn't seem to add much to the flavor. Drinks: Haven't ordered them here before so can't comment. Service/ambience: Fast and attentive. Family friendly as well. Location is fairly small (maybe 10 tables?). I've eaten here 4 times at this point and will be returning.

Hayes B.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food. The birria was the best I've ever had. It's hard to describe how phenomenal they were. I will say the street corn was slightly bland but that corn was so fresh and juicy I don't even care. The drinks are very good and well priced. All in all a wonderful experience with friendly staff. I can't wait to come back with friends.

Jonathan D.

Yelp
Food was tremendous and wait times were respectable. Burrito was top class. High quality, casual Mexican food.

Rasi A.

Yelp
It's interesting, I feel pressured to increase my rating given the five star average for this restaurant. But I have to stay true to my rating scale! I recognize that this is a small family owned restaurant, and I wish them continued success. However, the food missed the mark for my party, and we tried a lot of the menu. Guac and chips 3/5. Good price. Guac needed seasoning (salt). No salt or pepper on the table. Some chips in our basket were stale Elote 2/5 very bland. Corn tasted overboiled. Only had a couple bites and made my husband eat the rest Refried beans 1/5 No one in my party of 3 liked this at all. It wasn't eaten Birria tacos 3.5/5 what I was looking forward to the most. For some reason the flavors did not mesh for me - the meat tasted gamey and there was minimal seasoning. Husband thought they were good however Tacos - 3/5. Got pastor, steak, and chorizo. Pastor was the most flavorful. Steak was super bland!! All of the meat was dry dry dry. I kept trying to use the salsa provided but the salsa was mostly just spicy instead of adding another flavor dimension to the tacos Churros - 3/5 not sure if these were homemade but they were extremely chewy. Like take a bite and have to pull your head away for a piece to come off. I mostly just liked the caramel dip. Seemed like they were fried in the same oil as their tortilla chips because each bite came with a tortilla aftertaste :( Service was good (4.5/5). They seemed a bit rushed throughout but tried to be attentive. Ambiance is no frills, casual enough to bring kids. I'm only transiently in the area, so maybe this is the best local Mexican restaurant. But it was an overall average experience for my family.

Rebecca A.

Yelp
By far the best authentic Mexican food in all of Mass, this place is criminally underrated. Everything is AMAZING, service is incredible, atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the people are soo nice. We ordered the birria tacos, a steak burrito, and then the churros and tres leches- everything was delicious! Tres leches was my personal fave and the best I've ever had- perfect mix of some density some fluff and not too sweet. Birria is also the best I've had from the places I've tried. We always go out of our way for this place- highly recommend!

Yelp
I'm a San Diegan (who spent a couple of years in Mexico) on a forever quest to find good Mexican food in Boston. I thought I'd found my answer when I saw the reviews for this restaurant - but alas, it fell short on many dimensions. I should also say that there were several failed starts to even eat at this restaurant. On two separate occasions, we tried to get dinner here only to find it closed for a special event or some other reason. And then the last time we tried to come they said their kitchen was backed up and it would take 50 min to be served our food. WHAT?! Mexican street food shouldn't take more than 10-15. Anyway... so we finally found an opportunity to get dinner on a quiet weekday evening. The service was a bit slow and not very attentive. The menu is pretty limited - I was hoping to see classics like enchiladas and soups and sopes on the menu, but it's mostly tacos and burritos. The $5 chips appetizer is a measly plate of chips with salsa casera that had way too much onion blended in. The bean tostadas were slightly better (with a yummy, spicy green salsa). My kids didn't like their bean/rice/cheese burritos - something weird about the way the cheese smelled. My birria wasn't bad - I especially liked the avocado salsa - but the broth was not good. Overall, it was okay, but not cheap - I'd rather stick to the gringa-style burrito shop around the corner from my house.

Yelp
AHH! GET THE AL PASTOR BURRITO!! All of their burritos are delicious, but the braised pork is especially yummy! I got the jefe burrito, and it was definitely worth the price! The service was SO friendly, the guacamole and home made hot sauces were so refreshing, and our waitress gave us a slice of tres leches on the house for my birthday. Ugh, CANNOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH!!! :)))

Yelp
Delish, burritos are off the charts, as are the tacos and drinks. Extremely friendly staff.

Yelp
Pátzcuaro is my husband and my favorite restaurant. Paula, Sofia, and the rest of the family are so welcoming and amazing. The food is a 10/10. We have gone about every other week (for the past two years) and I still get excited. I highly recommend the al pastor tacos, birria tacos, burrito, churros, guacamole and basically everything else on the menu. oh and THE DRINKS! Amazing... especially the mojito, margarita, spicy margarita. And once I became pregnant Paula has made me every Mocktail possible. We love the Pátzcuaro fam and we are so lucky to enjoy the authentic food often.

Yelp
Best toasted burrito I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection and the salsa and guac is perfect! This is a five star place indeed!

Yelp
I'm originally from GBA and now live in NC. I came back to visit for the weekend and got to choose one restaurant to go out to with the family. My choice: Patzcuaro. Every time I come here is better than the last. The spicy marg is without a doubt the best I have ever had (ask for tajin and chumoy). I've gotten birra tacos and the street tacos (al pastor are the best) and they are incredibly flavorful and authentic (so don't fill up too much on the chips and guac, no matter how hard it is to control yourself). I'm not usually a dessert person, but you can't miss the Carmel churros or tres leche. In terms of service, that would win patzcuaro 5 stars alone. Paula is so genuinely sweet and you can tell how much she cares about visitors enjoying the food and experience. This is truly my favorite restaurant!

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place since a while. Website indicates they take reservations. Called and was told it is walk in. When we went there soon after, was told the waitlist was full for the evening. Totally get that a restaurant has limited capacity, but they were not even courteous considering that they could have said that the name needs to be added to the waitlist in person when i had called. We would have come even sooner, or not have made the effort to come all this way! Quite disappointed!
