"Guests are put centre stage and are treated to a real experience at this restaurant set in a delightful Georgian townhouse. Paul Ainsworth has developed his own style over the years and the menu is a wonderful showcase for his considerable talents. The creative and sometimes playful cooking is underpinned by well-honed classic techniques and the finest Cornish produce, in dishes like the signature ‘Crabsticks and Scones’ and the seasonally changing ‘Compañero baba’. Friendly, well-versed service helps to make your visit a memorable one." - Michelin Inspector

Absolutely amazing place and fabulous eating experience. All staff made us feel so special, I drove all the way home with a smile on my face and a full tummy. Thanks to all the team for the food, friendliness and little treat at the end of the meal setting us off on our 6 hour drive back to Liverpool. Highly recommended please visit if your ever in pretty Padstow. Lee & Nicki Winson 😍

We had the most incredible evening at Paul Ainsworth at No.6 in Padstow. The food was outstanding—creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Every course was a highlight. A huge thank you to the team for the thoughtful birthday touches, which made the celebration feel extra special. The sommelier’s wine knowledge was exceptional, with perfect pairings that enhanced every dish. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring from start to finish. A memorable experience in every way—we can’t wait to return.

We went for experience one (on the menu), and what an experience it was! We went for Anniversary, and I must say it did not disappoint. Everything was perfect - the attention to detail, the service and most importantly the delicious food. Thanks for an amazing experience in itself, dining with you! Hard to see how we top this next year 😅.

Paul Ainsworth’s flagship restaurant, No. 6, is a truly exceptional dining experience. From the moment you walk in you are cared for. The staff are professional with the right touch or casual so it doesn’t feel stuffy. The food is some of the best I’ve had. The dishes are unique, thought out, beautiful, and bloody delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. One of the few truly exceptional meals I’ve ever had.

Paul Ainsworth at No.6 What an amazing dining experience from the team at Paul Ainsworth at No.6, starting with cocktails and nibbles at the beautiful CiCi Bar. The dinner was simply outstanding — how this isn’t ⭐️⭐️ is anyone’s guess. It’s pure world-class. We chose the tasting menu, which on this visit was very fish and shellfish-led — we were in heaven! There’s now also the option of a two- or three-course à la carte menu if you prefer. Every dish was flawless, from the soup and scones right through to the desserts — my photos don’t even do it justice. Service was attentive without being stuffy; the team were friendly, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about what they do. I’ve been lucky enough to dine at No.6 three or four times now, and it just keeps getting better. This was simply an unforgettable experience.

This was an excellent meal and I feel it is one of the best one-star restaurants in the country - a few of the courses felt like they would be at home in a top two-star restaurant! The opening course with the pea soup and cheddar scone is fabulous and they serve the best butter I have ever tasted to go alongside it. The turbot dish is also particularly good and the pastry section is something else - the Valhrona chocolate dessert is one of the best I have had. The wine and hospitality was very good as well; Oli and Loren looked after me and they did an amazing job and their enthusiasm was palpable. I highly recommend eating here.

A fantastic meal in a restaurant that 100% deserves its Michelin star. From the amuse bouche to the petit four, everything was a wonder of depth of flavour and texture. Elliot who served us a number of dishes was the epitome of professionalism and friendliness. Highly recommended for a special meal.

This is such a great experience. We go for special occasions like birthdays (book a LONG way in advance!). The food is so cleverly composed - deft use of local ingredients and clever touches that you can taste, rather than just be told are in there. What's really nice is how this M* experience isn't stuffy. The service is fantastic, but it's friendly and relaxed - perfect. The comically cramped fisherman's cottage is very Padstow - our neighbour (a former GP) remembers the old chap who used to live there before Mr Ainsworth renovated. It's a lovely place to dine.
