What a terrible experience I had at this Paul location. I ordered two cakes — a Charlotte Fraise (£28) and a Charlotte Framboise (£28) — a full week before the collection date. The service at the time of ordering was already disappointing. When I returned to collect my order the following week, the same unfriendly staff member handed me the cakes without a single word of explanation. I also bought two Paris Brest pastries (£12) during that visit. I arrived at my office at 11:00am and left the cakes out at room temperature. When my guests arrived at 1:30pm, both cakes were completely FROZEN. They were so hard that cutting them was a struggle. It was embarrassing and ruined the entire experience — I ended up serving frozen cakes to my guests. People were picking the strawberries and raspberries off because they were rock-hard and unpleasant to eat. I honestly cannot believe that when you buy cakes from Paul, you are essentially buying frozen desserts that are impossible to serve immediately. It also makes me question where these cakes are actually made, because it is clearly not on-site or fresh in the store. Overall, this was an awful experience from start to finish. I will not be returning.

Would not recommend the coffe , no froth at all. We ordered Mocha's and Its like drinking straight up milk with choclate in it. Food on the other hand was really good and tasty.

Extremely horrible coffee. Worst coffee I had in the whole month. Bad enough I have to leave a review. Bitter and watery more like the cleaning water from the coffee machine. I wonder if they had any experience making a coffee. If you cannot make a proper coffee please go take classes and learn. Do not ruin people’s day.

Absolutely disgusting. Went to order a hot chocolate. I was standing there for about five minutes before being acknowledged both workers were cleaning and there were also other customers waiting. The start of the fridge using dustpan and brush which was absolutely filthy and a dirty black cloth then she started putting the cakes and pastries back into the fridge using her hands, she had not washed her hands before manually moving these pastries. This shop is not up to Paul standards and I will not be visiting again.

This was my second visit to this coffee shop and unfortunately it was disappointing again. The attitude of the servers was unfriendly, the place didn’t feel properly cleaned, and overall it was in a sad state. Even the coffee was just average

Absolutely my favourite shop. All the time I get a friendly smile. The shop assistants remember me,they know I drink latte. Is good to come here every morning.

Paul on Regent Street is a charming French bakery and café that offers a delightful experience for both locals and tourists. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a classic Parisian flair, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a treat. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is generally prompt despite the café’s popularity. Their selection of pastries is impressive, with freshly baked croissants, éclairs, and fruit tarts taking center stage. The bread, including their famous baguettes, is always of high quality, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. The coffee is consistently good, pairing well with any of their baked goods. For those seeking a full meal, the menu features a variety of savory options, including quiches and sandwiches, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast, a light lunch, or a quiet afternoon snack. While prices are on the higher side, especially given the central London location, the quality and experience are well worth it. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or spending an hour savoring your meal, Paul on Regent Street is a delightful spot for French-inspired fare in the heart of London.

I was fortunate enough to be served by Aisha, who very kindly gave me my favourite pastry for free! Thank you Aisha for making my day 🥰

Yelp
Great stop for a baguette sandwich or pastry. They have coffees too. My family enjoyed stopping in regularly on our trip.

Yelp
I first visited Paul years back in Paris and remember their chocolate croissants so naturally I was excited to come across this Paul years later. I enjoyed the chocolate croissant and the most decadent hot chocolate ever. It's more like hot chocolate lava, a deeply rich, creamy chocolate drink. Almost like drinking melted chocolate. So good that I had to purchase a container to pop into my suitcase. Great pastries and other baguette sandwiches. Tiny and could be challenging to get a table.

Yelp
Very small cafe. A few tables and high seats that are quite wobbly! (be careful) I ordered a capuccino and raspberry macaron. Both were good... Nothing spectacular, but better than the average.

Yelp
NOMnomnomNOM! This has the best pastries and things anywhere. I got a box of extremely expensive tiny qute little cakes that were to die for! The baguettes are wonderful and frankyl I'd happily kill myself eating the food from here. I'd say don't expect to eat in - it's all about the take-away NOMS!

Yelp
Paul has definitely the best French pastry you can find in London! The fruit tart, macaron, and cakes are absolutely delicious. The price is a little bit expensive but it worths it! You can be disappointed. The same for their sandwiches which are made with fresh and tasty food. I love it.

Yelp
There is something about Paul, you can tell it's always a good place to go because you always find something good to eat. The good smell of bread and cakes... it seems Paul brings an old and soft touch to Regent Street.

Yelp
This is where you can get *ok* french bread and good croissants and pains au chocolat. It's a french chain so it's not the best but considering options in London, it worth 4 starts.

Yelp
On a cold autumn or winters morning after a walk to work there is nothing better than popping into Paul's for a hot chocolate. I want to say it's the best hot chocolate I have had, but I haven't had a Milano for ages. So I can only say with absolute honesty and certainty, the Hot Chocolate from Paul's is the best you can buy on Marylebone High street. Trust me, I have tried. It's better than the drinks you get from the chocolate shops up the road. The Citron tart is also a solid favourite of mine. Beating the Patisserie Valerie tart in flavour and pastry quality, as well as in over-all tartiness. (I want to make a joke there but I just can't it's too easy!) However I do get frustrated that the Pain au Raisin is called a raisin escargot. I can see why. But come on. You are a French shop. I have only ever seen it be called a pain au raisin in France. Stick to the story Paul. But otherwise good shop. Sorry coffee fans. I can't comment, but I have heard there are better coffee places in St Christopher's place just down the road. This is a hot chocolate stop only.

Yelp
Nice if you like a bit of je ne se quoi with your lunch. £3.50 for a baguette to eat out - it wasn't that great, and you'd get a much larger subway for the same price! I'm sure the cakes are very nice, but a place to avoid if you are watching the waistline!

Yelp
The staff at Paul have been incredibly kind at all the locations I have visited, including the Soho location, which recently closed. They are always helpful, courteous beyond belief, and maintain the space in a very clean and orderly fashion. Service is also quite quick if you eat-in, and the pastries are of unparalleled quality. Worth the price, especially for the large French macarons (I recommend pistachio or chocolate), the chocolate croissant (you haven't lived until you've had one of these crispy, light, and slightly sweetened pastries), and extra especially, their moelleux chocolat, which tastes like an airy flourless chocolate cake crossed with an incredibly light cocoa brownie. Their yunnan vert is also spectacular. Lightly hinted with a sweet, almost passion fruit-like essence, and steeped to perfection, it pairs well with the array of sweets they have available. Although a chain with many locations, I have only the highest regard for maintaining their quality of food and service.

Yelp
We had the vegan sandwich and were very disappointed at the flavor, quantity of veggies and the excess of bread. Wouldn't recommend the vegan sandwich.

Yelp
Oooh, it's the world's smallest Paul outlet. The Regent Street store is tiny with no toilet and hardly any tables. If you do see an empty table in this place, you will probably have to fight a family of French tourists to get a seat. That said, it's still a Paul Boulangerie. My favourite is the flan nature, which I've eaten in many different French delis and cafes in France and in the UK. No one does a flan nature quite like Paul. The texture is firm and a beautiful dark yellow colour. You can actually taste the egg, unlike in many examples of egg custard. Shame they put the price up to £2.20 recently. They also need to work on their double espresso to be worthy of the mighty flan nature.

Yelp
A really great bakery/patisserie with delicious treats, and excellent sandwiches for lunchtime. Classir than you Starbucks or Costa to sit and have a hot drink as well, so that makes a change.

Yelp
One of the famous patisserie chain. This one is small so you might have to take away. Love their hazelnut steamer, and hazelnut cappuccino. Their macaroons are great, but not expensive. Perfect place to meet a friend or take a rest while shopping on Oxford Street.

Yelp
Oh gosh - what can I say - go in here to indulge, not to be healthy. It's proper French and all - from the fresh and tasty baguettes with lots of good cheese, to the GIANT macaroons (oh the pistachio - droooool) and the liquefied chocolate for hot chocolates and mocha's. Nope, you don't want to count the calories, because you want to enjoy all the tasty indulgences they offer guilt-free :-)

Yelp
This small chain of French bakers is growing rapidly but that doesn't stop it from producing quality bread and cakes time and time again. I can't fault the quality of the food. Everything, from the fresh sandwiches to heavenly cakes are incredible. Each mouthful is absolutely perfect. The shop offers both takeaway and eat in so it is a great place to get your morning croissants or meet a friend for coffee and, of course, cake. The only slight negative is that very occasionally the staff are very slow to serve but that's a small price to pay for such brilliant quality.

Yelp
Great bakery with excellent sweet and savory snacks to take away - the baguette sandwiches are delicious and freshly made and the wide selection of cakes is hard to resist! The quality is the great both in France and the UK - an authenic french bakery and patisserie that is almost always busy. The Kensington branch has a seating area which is a great haven away from the bustling high street.

Yelp
A bit expensive but so fresh and delicious. Their cakes are amazing! =D
