The Best Chaat Shops and Chaat Trucks in Sunnyvale and the South Bay | Eater SF

"This food truck off Lawrence Avenue is well known for its traditional tawa-cooked pav bhaji. The proprietors imported their tawa, a large flat griddle used to cook pav bhaji, from India to keep things as traditional as possible. The namesake dish consists of pav (a soft roll) and bhaji, a spicy tomato-based vegetable mixture cooked with a delicious amount of Indian-made Amul butter. The truck is open for takeout and delivery via Doordash. A restaurant location also opened recently in Fremont." - Hetal Vasavada

Google
Their pav bhaji is one of the most authentic one in Bay Area. If you are a fan of spicy food, I highly recommend their Spicy Pav Bhaji and pair it up with their Sugarcane Juice. I haven’t had sugarcane juice in Bay Area which is THIS good. They also have an option of adding ginger and lime to it (highly recommended!!) They have recently started Vada pav and LIVE pani puri too, something that I’ve rarely seen here in the area. They have some unique flavors like pineapple+raw mango which is a mustttt try! Apart from that their restaurant is super neat and clean. And the staff is super kind and friendly :) 5/5 always!!

Google
I recently visited Pav Bhaji Hut in Fremont, and I have to say, they truly live up to their claim of serving pav bhaji made with lots of love. The flavors were rich, authentic, and absolutely mouthwatering. The pav was buttery and perfectly toasted, and the bhaji had just the right amount of spice and depth. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're a fan of street-style Indian food or just craving something comforting and flavorful, this place is a gem. Definitely the best pav bhaji I’ve had in the Bay Area. Highly recommend!

Google
Admittedly, my first ever paj bhaji. But it definitely won't be my last. Super delicious, and don't miss the sugar cane juice with ginger. Match made in heaven.

Gee Aye

Google
Ask for Pavan and Krishan - they are the stars of this place. The bhaji was delicious and so was their schezwan vada pav.

Vardaan Monga

Google
Good place with a simple menu. They only serve Pav Bhaji for food and had fresh juices. The bhaji was flavorful and spicy.

Vidhu Singal

Google
Yum pav bhaji and Vada pav . Authentic flavors, nice ambience , super sweet staff, tastefully designed restaurant and super fast service ..

“We tried the pav bhaji at Pav Bhaji Hut and it was sooo good! The flavors were perfect, and the pav was soft and fresh. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious pav bhaji. Definitely coming back again!”

Google
Pav Bhaji Hut serves the best and the most authentic Pav Bhaji in the bay area where you would want to revisit albeit their relatively high prices. This branch in Fremont is good but I experienced lot of echo inside while placing the order and the wooden benches to sit on could be replaced by more comfortable seating. Other than that the staff is very friendly, service is quick. They only serve Pav bhaji and orange/watermelon juice at their restaurant with varying level of spiciness. This is a chain brand with other outlet in Santa Clara and also have a food truck near the Lawrence station, Santa Clara. Taste and price are ditto.

Yelp
Their Pav Bhaji is soooo good! My kids absolutely loved it! They were amazed at how veggies could be mashed up together to make something so tasty! Only cons are that it is a bit over-priced and I wish more buns came with the bhaji, but I just have to order many extra on the side.
google avatar

Chaithanya M.

Yelp
A chic, minimalist spot serving just pav bhaji and cold-pressed juice. The space is clean, and service was quick during a quiet hour. Orders come with a fun name board, I got Shimla. The pav bhaji was ok, with enough bhaji to justify an extra pav. The pav bun seemed a bit stale and slightly hard. The cold-pressed sugarcane juice was the standout, refreshing and well-balanced with a hint of ginger and lime! $26 for two items, feels little overpriced for the overall experience.

Yelp
I am so picky with pav bhaji because no one can make it like my mom, however this place gave my mom a run for her money. The bhaji is so flavorful and rich and well spiced which I am so glad about because Indian restaurants in the Bay sometimes decrease the spice. The pavs were also so crispy at the bottom with rich butter crust and fluffy and glossy on top! Service was fast and you can see the pavs being grilled per service infront of you, and the bhaji made on the giant pan just and served just like they would in India. Inside the ambiance is pretty normal for a fast casual place. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
We have been to Pav Bhaji Hut several times and I love the flavor of their Bhaji. You have medium and spicy version of it . Service is good and not very crowded. Decor inside is so cute with authentic Indian art and pics . Pav Bhaji is Indian street food and loved by all . Pav dipped in butter with sizzling hot Bhaji is simply irresistible. To make this experience better hope they add more Pav to the order .

Yelp
Delicious but very expensive pav bhaji. A friend recommended this place when I mentioned I wanted to eat pav bhaji. I came here expecting a chaat place and was surprised to see that they only have one food item on the menu: pav bhaji. They also offer cold pressed juices, but that's literally the whole menu. My party of 3 came for dinner on Wednesday around 6 pm and it was empty. The space features a modern casual look, along with a lot of information about the origins of pav bhaji as well as a whole wall of inspirational sayings. We each ordered a pav bhaji ($12.99 for one serving) with two extra pav ($3.99 for each). The food came out very quickly, which is expected since the bhaji is ready made and just the pav needs to be toasted. Each order comes with a hefty portion of bhaji, two pav on the side, and some chopped raw onions plus lime slice. Each extra order of pav also comes with two pav. I was starving so I quickly dug in and it was absolutely amazing. They nailed the flavor of the bhaji perfectly, and luckily it wasn't too spicy even for a spice wimp like me. The pav was also perfectly light and toasty. For the amount of bhaji you get, one order of pav is definitely not enough. I'm glad we ordered an extra set. We killed the food in minutes. It was that good. I really enjoy pav bhaji, and I'd say this was one of the best I've ever had. No wonder they got so successful as a food truck and expanded into actual stores. My only complaint about this place is that it's so darn expensive. $13 for one portion of pav bhaji is a lot, and forking out for extra pav ain't cheap either.
google avatar

Neets W.

Yelp
The service was friendly, and I enjoyed the fresh organic cold-pressed orange juice. However, the pav bhaji didn't taste authentic, and the menu is quite limited, offering only pav bhaji and orange juice. I would suggest adding more variety, like samosas, chaat, and naan wraps. The ambiance was simple and modern.
google avatar

Anthony A.

Yelp
Food was great and the girl with the glasses taking my order was really nice and friendly ! Will be back again thank you guys for the hospitality !
google avatar

Roshan R.

Yelp
So, the menu has just one item - Pav Bhaji. One would expect that if the place sells just one item, it's probably the amazing. However, the bhaji lacks flavor. The pav is just soaked in butter. There are many other places in the area with way better pav bhajis. The taste here is extremely underwhelming. And definitely overpriced. They do have some cold pressed juice options. Ambiance is pretty decent. Clean. The service however is sub par.

Yelp
I'm from Mumbai and I could say this best place to relish Pav Bhaji. You can ask for Spicy Pav Bhaji if you enjoy extra spice kick. Service is very fast and very friendly staff. Loved the ambiance. Only thing I would like to add is soda fountain.
google avatar

Sara T.

Yelp
This place literally sells one main dish, pav bhaji. If you're unfamiliar with pav bhaji, it's pretty much a curry with a side of bread. It sounds basic, but it's actually very good. I was a bit hesitant to try, but I'm so glad I did. Pav bhaji had lots of flavor, and the bread was warmed perfectly. Btw it comes with two pieces of bread and if you need more bread you can order extra. They also have cold pressed juices if you need some hydration. I do wish they had other items on the menu, but the name of their restaurant says it all, just pav bhaji. I definitely recommend coming by and trying pav bhaji if you never had it before :) Very quick service and plenty of seating.

Sonali B.

Yelp
Food was mediocre... I had one order of bhaji and 1 extra order of pav for a total of $22. Way overpriced, and they recommended to sit in the restaurant because they were going to charge me extra for to go order. I asked for extra lime and they gave me (including the one that comes with) enough to total 1/4 of a lime. I must say that she's screwed me over with a smile.

AJ S.

Yelp
Pros: * Pav Bhaji stew tastes above average * Parking was easy to find Cons: * Ridiculously expensive for just 2 buns and a bowl of Pav Bhaji stew. The quantity of food they offer for $14 makes is a poor deal. It's barely filling for an adult. * Additional fees for to go orders - That's kinda rare to see around this area. I asked about the extra charge and the response was that they use premium quality, 100% recycled containers that are made in the USA. Okay, so they want to promote themselves as an environment-friendly business but pass the cost to the customer. * In what world do they think charging $4 for a extra piece of bun is fair for a casual street food restaurant? * Tables weren't clean - my original intent was to eat at the restaurant, but after I found all the tables were soiled and had crumbs all over, I asked them to change it to a to go order and was asked to pay $1 as a to go order fees. * Poor quality of food - buns were stale.

Yelp
Came in for a quick snack, the pav and bhaji were delicious. Service was great - Diya was friendly and patience. Will definitely come back again.

Yelp
Simple but so delicious! Pav Bhaji is a fast food dish that is popular in Mumbai. I learned about this dish from a Netflix show so I had to try it out for myself. The dish is very simple; it comes with two pieces of toasted buttered rolls (similar to Hawaiian rolls but toasted with butter) and a curry-like sauce to dip the rolls in. There was also a side of onion and lime for the bhaji (the sauce). I ordered the spicy pav bhaji without the cheese and it was soo good. I enjoy very spicy foods and this definitely had spice to it. If you're sensitive to spice then try the non-spicy version. Highly recommend this place if you love Indian curries but want to try something a little different!

Yelp
Came in to give this place a try in early afternoon maybe around 12:30pm. I was very curious because I have never tried this dish before I had a quick glance around and the restaurant seemed clean, but I was the only one inside the time. I tried to make small talk to see what was in this dish, but the cashier didn't seem too friendly, so I just order it anyway. She offered me some fresh juice that was just squeezed and I asked how much she said $9. I said that was too high and that I would be passing can I just have a cup of water she said sure grab a water bottle and then I noticed a charge $2.50. For an off brand room temperature water bottle that was just sitting on the counter so once again, I said I would pass and just asked for a regular cup of water. She offered a cup from the kitchen sink water, disgusted I said nahhh I'm good! $14 bucks later my order of Pav Bhaji was ready. I looked around for a table and noticed that literally every table had receipts, bread crumbs, sauce and onions, scattered amongst all the tables. By the fifth table, I literally just sat at a dirty table and proceeded to eat my meal. Right off the bat, the bread was very stale and soaked with butter and fried to a crisp. In addition, there was another chunk of butter in the dish. It was spicy but still tolerable. In my opinion, it definitely did not taste fresh but maybe I just do not know what this dish is supposed to taste like, but I pretty much just ate like a third and trashed it. Imagine a Thanksgiving dinner roll that sat out for a very long time and then fry it up with a bunch of butter. My hopes for high, but it just wasn't for me.

Yelp
On the pricier side but then eating out hAs become expensive these days. The pav Bhaji was good. The pav was fresh. It was fast, and the service was friendly. Fast food that was actually fast food. I will return for sure.
google avatar

Pankti S.

Yelp
I am a mumbaikar and can say for sure this is not authentic Mumbai pav bhaji. It is ridiculously expensive for the quantity they serve. ($14 for pav bhaji, $4 for extra pav) the staff was rude and the tables were not clean. They have a very small menu to begin with and did not have some things we asked for. Overall not a pleasant experience.
google avatar

Nishant M.

Yelp
If you like buttery(oily), spicy food then this is the place to try. This is the closest to what you get in India. The food is fresh and authentic. Definitely recommended m!

Yelp
Have always been a fan of pav bhaji hut. First time at their Fremont location. Interior decoration is great, loved that black wall of quotes and the photo wall showing their journey. Taste wise, pav bhaji is great (I ordered the regular pav bhaji). So good when eaten hot hot, immediately. Minus one star because it's expensive! The amount of bhaji for the price as well the price for the extra pav. 3.99 for the extra pav? Woah Otherwise, all good! Will return, but not frequently because of the price point.
google avatar

Sid G.

Yelp
The place has decent ambiance. This place serves the popular Indian street food Pav bhaji. That is the only dish they serve.. we like the pav bhaji here. They have pressed water lemon and orange juice too.

Yelp
First time trying pav bhaji and Pav Bhaji Hut! It just opened recently and since I'd never eaten it before, I was excited! For a restaurant to serve only one specific dish (with a few options), I thought whoaa...must be good. I walked up to the counter and was greeted by a very friendly gentleman. He guided me through ordering and I settled on 2 orders of the regular pav bhaji which comes with 2 soft/grilled rolls (pav) & I ordered extra pav. The other options are spicy pav bhaji and then Amul cheese for either the regular or spicy versions. That's it. Those are the options for food. Menu couldn't be simpler! Thank goodness I ordered regular! I usually order everything mild in spiciness because after years of spicy loving life, the tummy can't take it anymore. This dish for me is a bit more than mild. More like medium. I was sweating as I ate it. Loved it, but was also thinking that I may be crying in the bathroom later. As a friend of mine likes to say..."Spicy in, spicy out!" So, thanks to the guy behind the counter who swayed me toward that decision. I also ordered a pineapple/orange fresh squeezed juice. It was delicious and also seemed to have a hint of ginger which I love in all my juices. Verdict: We'll be back. Whenever I'm craving a stewy, vege curry with soft, pillowy rolls. This place will be the first thing I crave.
google avatar

Amy Z.

Yelp
The only thing I can say is that it's soooo good!! Got the spicy pav bhaji that comes with 4 amazingly toasted rolls of pav (toasted in a special butter) and extra pav (an additional two rolls - totally worth it). Bhaji is basically the curry and pav is the bread. Combined, they pack such a wonderful and satisfying flavor punch. As I write this, I already miss it. If I'm ever in the area again, I would come definitely again.

Yelp
Similar to another review, I learned about this dish from Midnight Asia on Netflix and I instantly HAD to see if there was a place near by that sold this dish. Simple menu. Easy to find location with tons of parking, and they were (surprisingly) not busy. I ordered the spicy pav bhaji and the regular with cheese. At first, I was a little skeptical that cheese was an extra charge, but after trying it, I'll happily pay that extra charge because it was SO delicious! (Someone please share what kind of cheese that is if you know!) I also appreciated that it was separated from the pav bhaji since my fiance is a cheese hater. The dish itself was really flavorful and super filling. The spicy version had just enough of a kick, but wasn't overwhelming. My only regret was not buying extra bread! GET EXTRA BREAD! Thankfully, I always have rice on hand to finish the dish. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Jay P.

Yelp
SO GOOD! Much respect for the simple menu, with only one choice for food you know they are confident they can deliver on quality and taste. We loved the pav bhaji, it smelled complex in a good way and mouth-watering. It was made-to-order meaning the pav and bhaji are heated on a large Tawa/griddle with butter when you order, if you come order in person you can watch them make it which is a treat. The pav bhaji is spicy with light heat and there is no "mild" version. The Bhaji is also awesome because I see so many leftovers potential putting it on rice, fries, tortilla chips, pita, etc...Highly recommended 5/5. Bhaji was amplified by the bread crisped up in Amul butter and I'll be dreaming of that bread once it's all gone. My wife and older son loved it so much next time we might have to order 2 extra orders of bread instead of one. The cold press juices was minimal and delicious, whatever fruit you order; apple, pineapple, etc...that's all the juice is made from with no unnecessary or harmful extras added. I got an extra shot of ginger in mine and we liked bantering with the owner about sustainable paper straws and all the organic ingredients he used including the free lollipop he gave my son! Super nice guy and I hope Pav Bhaji is a huge success. We loved the decor inside and can't wait till covid is over so we can bring some friends by and try everything when it's super fresh. This is at the end of the artist walk near carl's junior, right next to Sack of Potatoes. Ample parking in back, just turn in anytime you can and don't try for street parking on Fremont.
google avatar

Alisa B.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise that I stumbled upon this place while I was in Fremont. As me and my friends walked in, we were greeted with a man that was so happy to see us. Very friendly and directed us to the menu explanations. The menu is very simple. They have fresh juice and pav bhaji. This was my first time trying it, so I opted for the version with cheese! Pav bhaji is street food or "fast food" in India, so I wasn't expecting a huge portion... but WOW, I was full after I ate everything! It was filling, flavorful, buttery, and a bit spicy. They give the cheese, onions, cilantro, and lime on the side for to-go orders. I actually ended up eating the meal the day after and it was still REALLY GOOD after microwaving it!

Yelp U.

Yelp
Beware! They cancelled a large order for a party fifteen mins before it was due to arrive, forcing me to scramble last min to feed 30 guests.
google avatar

chandra i.

Yelp
This place is not, this is where our notion of a good pav bhaji goes to die. I really wanted to like the gutsy marketing gimmick " we sell pav bhaji only" but when the sole star of their restaurant is a sub par offering of oven dried pav and a mush of overly maslafied vegetables swimming in Amul butter, it's hard to root for this dish or the establishment this mess came to be.. Sorry, definitely not to my liking. And oh, the $$!! 2 pav bhaji sets, extra pav, 1 watermelon juice ( stale) all for $43!!! This is Fremont. There are tons of places where one can get a decent pav bhaji for a fraction of the cost. Pan Bhaji hut is a fail for me.
google avatar

Reena S.

Yelp
Omg have I really not rated this?! I used to drive out to the food truck they had. My husband found out they opened this brick and mortar location so we had to try it. I have been here twice now and each time it doesn't disappoint. The first time we ordered the food to go but today we ordered to eat there. The restaurant is clean and spacious. We were the only one eating in. The pav Bhaji itself is always so flavorful and reminds me of my favorite place in Southern California. I will definitely keep coming back here and recommend to others who enjoy Indian food!
google avatar

Niyati S.

Yelp
I totally loved their spicy pav bhaji- makes me feel I am right In the streets of Ahmedabad! The whole concept of serving limited dishes just works well as there is no compromise in the quality of the food. A must visit! I am sure the place and its taste would not disappoint you!
google avatar

RUPINDER S.

Yelp
Taste wise damn good but quantity of bhaji is too little for 14$. You get bhaji double in amount from other restaurants. Salad includes onions and lime piece only. Extra pav is 5$. Which terrible for one piece of bread. For 5$ you can buy one full package of hawaii rolls.

anagha b.

Yelp
Great Pav bhaji. Very Close to the Mumbai pav bhaji I found in Bay Area. Good service . One menu places are always great. This is one of them. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Sanketa B.

Yelp
Tried their regular, spicy and cheese pav bhaji! If you are the person who loves tasty food I did go with cheese regular pav bhaji compared to the spicy pav bhaji. Their side of cheese is as fine as strings and very soft!
google avatar

Divya S.

Yelp
Our go to when we can't decide what to eat! We love their pav bhaji . I'd not recommend their Spicy Pav bhaji unless you eat really spicy food or you have regular bhaji in which you can mix and dilute the spiciness lol. Their Fremont location has great seating available and serve fresh juice unlike the Sunnyvale location.
google avatar

Anuj A.

Yelp
Its a pav bhaji only place. Pav bhaji tastes awesome and made with Amul butter. If you are craving masaledaar mumbai style pav bhaji, this is the place to go.
google avatar

Ankur G.

Yelp
The entire menu is just 2 types of pav bhaji. Prices are ridiculous! Take out orders get charged 0.89cents extra! Cold pressed juices are pretty bad! I wouldn't recommend this place.
google avatar

Hetal P.

Yelp
Different but Great taste! Highly recommended! Service was good and fast. We had a guest and they craved for pav bhaji so we made take out order of plain, spicy and cheese pav bhaji along with extra 3 order of pav. It didn't take much time to get my order. Probably 5 minutes. Packaging was really good. Nothing leaking. Bhaaji, cheese, onion and lemon, pav everything packed separately. Paa bhaji was super yummy One should must visit this place. Some suggestion: 1. The quantity of the Bhaji is a little low compared to the Pav and the money we pay. Would appreciate a little more. 2. The place has a parking crunch so try to go early. 3. Better to have contact number so that we can order on call.
google avatar

Wendy T.

Yelp
This is my first time eating it. For $12, it's not mind blowing. The bread was the highlight! I got the spicy one but it wasn't spicy enough for me. We put the shallots and lemon on top of the curry. Pav bhaji is a fast food dish from India consisting of a thick vegetable curry served with a soft bread roll. Its origins are in the state of Maharashtra.
google avatar

Tiffany Z.

Yelp
Came here with my two sisters when visiting Fremont! Was such a worthwhile visit - the flavor of the Pav Bhaji was amazing. Loved eating it hot and fresh and it was really fun watching the employees making the food on the giant grjll. Easy parking in the plaza as well! Only word of warning: beware of leaving the food inside your car. We left the leftovers in our car for 30 minutes when getting groceries and the smell of the food lingered in our car for 2-3 days :(
google avatar

Anjana P.

Yelp
Those place was a new find in Fremont. Only does Pav Bhaji, hence its name. Great concept. Tasty pav bhaji served with hot pav and side of onion and lemon. Will be coming back for sure.

Stuti V.

Yelp
I hate to give this place such bad rating as I had heard so much about it. This place offers 4 types of pav bhaji and some beverages. Yes the store is run on 4 dishes. But when I placed the order the person asked me if it's for take out or dine in. I said take out. He said dine in here as it would be cheaper. I didn't ask why but do they charge extra if it's take out? And if so, that's even worse. The containers can't hold their food. I reached home in 25 min and the bhaji had leaked all over the bag and on the car seat as well. In covid times I was not comfortable in dining in, but was expecting better quality containers for this dish..!! Regarding food:- - l ordered 1 pav bhaji , 1 spice pav bhaji and 1 spicy cheesy pav bhaji. I was served 2 spicy pav bhajis in 1 box. And no one asked me before doing that? All pavs were also given together. It was for different individuals and it was not how we expected it to be. - cheesy pav Bhaji is just pav bhaji with cheese on side. Did I pay extra for some cheese which I have at home and could have added it myself ? Overall, bhaji was not bad. But half of it leaked. We didn't get our dishes in our separate containers (everything was mixed ). I don't know why this was done and was very disappointing.
google avatar

Pratik P.

Yelp
The Pav Bhaji is good but some of the policies like no tap water, $0.79 per item for to go are quite ridiculous. The price of items keeps going up and the quantity keeps reducing. Exorbitant pricing on DoorDash/Caviar is another issue.
google avatar

Nini T.

Yelp
Such a simple menu. They offer the Pav Bhaji spicy and not spicy. They also offer cold pressed juices. I got the cantaloupe juice to accompany my meal. Definitely a match made in heaven. Everything was so good! Flavorful and satisfying. 10/10
google avatar

Argie L.

Yelp
Food was decent. I ordered three pav bhajis with the intention of eating in the car with friends while waiting for someone at the parking lot. So we left and when we were ready to eat, to my surprise, I only received one container labeled three servings of bhaji. I didn't know if I was gonna laugh or be mad. Make sure to tell them that you want separate containers for each order if you're ordering more than one pav bhaji. Also, the cashier didn't seem to be willing to take my order and her face couldn't even hide it. Her face said "it's so late but okay I'll take your order" even though I came in 45 mins before their closing time.
google avatar

Phebe T.

Yelp
Meh, kind of flavorless... and so overpriced. Pav isn't as good as others say, definitely not worth getting the extra Pav (thankfully I saw another review so didn't get the extra, even after the cashier tried to pressure me 3x to get extra Pav). Sorry but never coming back! And the to-go fee??? Weird...
google avatar

Neha A.

Yelp
Surprise to see this location wasn't yet on yelp. Pav Bhaji is truly a Mumbai delicacy, something I have always craved for in the US. Until now, I had to wait and look forward for my trip to India to just enjoy myself 1 plate of authentic buttery delicious Pav bhaji. But since I have tried Pav bhaji hut, i am hooked on to it, no more looking forward to India trip .. For people who don't know what Pav Bhaji is.. is a simple meal of lots of veggies boiled and being cooked together in butter and spices and is eaten with Pav (which is similar to dinner rolls) we top it with onion and cilantro and then squeeze lime in top. To make it more tempting we add cheese (but it's totally an optional item) The place also serves 100% cold pressed juice, but since prices are on the higher side, I haven't tried any. But I would definitely recommend the pav bhaji here
google avatar

Smruti A.

Yelp
This is a relatively newer location of the popular food truck from Sunnyvale. The food is almost comparable to the original food truck in terms of taste and flavors. Pav Bhaji is a favorite street side food from Mumbai. They have recreated a similar version of the dish but with slightly more masalas than expected. Indian sloppy joe served with toasted bread they have a couple of versions like the regular, spicy and with cheese. They are all delicious. We generally get one of the regular and one spicy. Mixing the two gives us the spice level that we love! The only flip side is the packaging they have for delivery. Flimsy cardboard boxes that are not good to hold all the butter that is in the dish. I have had the butter leak all the way out of the box and bag. Apart from that, the place is great for sure! Recommended!
google avatar

Nelly Y.

Yelp
Wow! My only expectation was have something flavorful and fresh. I got those plus more on their super simple menu. The service was sooo friendly, food was outstanding, and cold pressed juices were so refreshing (no added sugar). I love the simplicity of the menu and the owner's passion for his craft. Yelp
Literally the only pav bhaji I will eat in all of California. Having tried this iconic Mumbai street food at a variety of restaurants, Pav Bhaji Hut is the only place that does it real justice and genuinely comes close to the real deal. Before their Fremont location opened up, we used to drive down to Sunnyvale to get our pav bhaji cravings satisfied. Not anymore! Also, love that this is a sit down spot. It's inviting, and open with a modern decor. A friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch of piping hot pav bhaji. So full of bold flavor, with the classic amul butter taste - YUM YUM YUM. I appreciate that their menu is so simple - regular and spicy pav bhaji. I opt for the regular one as the spicy one is quite fiery for my taste. Staff at this location was friendly and courteous, and the owner made it a point to tell me that everything is made fresh daily. It is a little on the pricy side, but it's worth it IMO :)

Yelp
They sell only Pav Bhaji. Thats it. So when you have 1 item on a menu and a big restaurant, it better be the best pav bhaji there is. I would say I have has better. Add more items to your menu please. They didnt even have the spicy version of the bhaji. Just 1 option. The juices dont count IMO.
