Amazing Italian Experience! Everything was perfect ! Cozy ambiance, great service, and beautifully presented dishes. The pasta trio was incredible: rich and creamy carbonara, flavorful ragu, and fresh tagliatelle. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. But what truly makes this place special are the owners. They treat everyone like friends and family, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. A true gem! Highly recommend!

I had dinner at pavin86 with my friends last night and everything was amazing!! The food was extremely delicious. I ordered pasta with pesto & pistachio and it was excellent!! It reminded me of pasta in Italy. Also the white wine and the panna cotta were great. Thank you to Genta and to everyone else for their warm hospitality. Pavin86 feels like home!! It’s so cozy there!

We came on a Sunday night, so I'm not sure if it was just an off night. Our guests had previously been and had a great time. However, this time when we went and everyone was a little disappointed. The Bolognese barely had any meat (both orders). The carbonara was very heavy. Chicken was great and so were meatballs.

So glad I stopped in for dinner by myself, didn’t feel out of place at all. Why are we sleeping on this place?? $5 off every single menu item for happy hour!? I had a glass of wine, Caesar salad, and the bolognese pasta and left very satisfied! Pasta was super fresh and perfectly Al dente.

An amazing date night spent with my husband at one of the most dainty restaurants we’ve been too, such cozy and intimate atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing - my husband and I are completely hooked on their octopus one of the best that we’ve had so far. Definitely a beautiful place to always revisit and bring loved ones. The service was fantastic, staff was friendly and welcoming. Cant recommend this place enough!!! ❤️ one of our to go place now.

A true hidden gem! 👍 I’ve never had Italian food with such depth and perfection of flavor in my life. We just came to this restaurant because it was close to our hotel in New York and had good reviews—we only planned to enjoy some wine. But after trying the octopus dish and mussels, we suddenly wanted to taste everything on the menu. Even though we were already full, we ordered the pomodoro. At first, it looked so simple, but the taste completely blew us away. Absolutely delicious—this is art! If I could, I’d give it 10 stars!

It’s the best Italian food I have ever tasted. Great pasta, colorful flavors, big and tender clam. The octopus is soft and tender, with delicious pepper sauce.

Easily the best Italian in the UES!! If you’re looking for authentic Italian then I highly recommend Pavin 86. I got the octopus to start and it was so tender and incredible! Then for my main I got the carbonara, which was perfection! I highly recommend Pavin 86

We dined at Pavin this evening, sitting in the beautiful back patio, and had one of the best meals in recent memory! We enjoyed the steak tartare and burrata to start. Both delicious and fresh! We then ordered the bolognese, a lemony chicken, and a special lobster risotto. All absolutely fantastic and flavorful! We practically licked our plates clean! Will be back soon and so excited to have this new staple in the neighborhood

Pavin 86 is a cozy, chill restaurant with solid pastas! I've walked by it several times in the UES but finally got to check them out before the dinner rush on a Friday night. It smelled so good upon entering! Started off with their caesar salad and their complimentary bread. If you like a sauce-forward, creamy salad like me, then this is it! Veggies were fresh but most importantly smothered with their peppery and anchovy-driven umami salad dressing. The bread was fine but I liked the whipped butter and olive sauce/paste that it came with. For mains, the pesto pistachio was very tasty! The sauce was nutty yet herbacious at the same time. The carbonara featured a good balance between cheese, egg yolk, and the guanciale. Each bite had a fragrant savory pork flavor. Pasta were al dente and matched the sauces respectively. Be sure to save from bread so you can soak up all the sauces! While I appreciated how they didn't rush us out, service was on the slower side for NYC. Staff were nice and friendly. The brick walls and fairy lights made it feel very intimate. I wish I got a chance to check out the back area, which seems popular amongst other guests. Excited to come back to this solid neighborhood pasta spot!

Cosy space, nice staff. Wine was quaffable. Served some bread with spreads to start. We tried the burrata, the pasta bolognese and the chicken with lemon and capers. It was all OK. Prices are below average and there's a happy hour discount. OK. budgetish Italian restaurant.

Great addition to UES. Try the chicken Milanese and a fairly priced Filet Mignon. Great friendly staff. Olive and Pepper spread a nice touch.

My husband and I have been here twice. Friendly, quick service, but not rushed. Very pretty with a cute courtyard out back. Small, but well laid out. We've had the cacio e pepe, pomodoro and pesto, as well as burrata. We preferred the pomodoro and cacio e pepe over the pesto, but all delicious. The burrata was incredible. So well seasoned over plum (cherry?) tomatoes. We'll definitely be back!

Came here for a friday night dinner and had a lovely time! The staff was super attentive and the inside is very cozy and inviting. We started with the meatballs which were absolutely delicious! I wish they were a tad bit warmer but were still very good. The complimentary bread and spreads were also incredible. We split the carbonara and the tagliatelle which were both absolutely delicious. The carbonara was perfectly al dente and was my favorite of the two. Would absolutely come back!

Small homely Italian restaurant I recommend the pasta but the chicken isn't mind blowing. Kinda dry Cheesecake is good Chocolate cake is very sweet

Fabulous homemade pasta in a cozy, intimate, environment. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe and Carbonara. Good service too!

We dropped in for lunch to try the new spot in the neighborhood. Service was friendly and the food was good. Nothing mind blowing - L'Incontro by Rocco holds that bar for me right now - but I saw enough to make me want to come back and try a few more dishes. Also didn't get to try anything from the wine list as we both had to return to work, so that's another reason to come back.

Finally got to check out this new lil bistro in our neighborhood - and we will certainly make it a regular occurrence! The ambiance is sweet, cozy & opens to the street. Our server was very helpful & kind. And the food was real Italian. Tomatoes were perfection with the burrata. The Cacio e Pepe was exactly what you would want it to be as well the lobster ravioli. The Salmon as our main was prepared very nicely too. Highly recommend this spot! Oh and the chocolate cake -- !!! Yum!

This place rocks. I live in the neighborhood and consider it to have some of the best pasta in Yorkville. The pasta dishes are homemade, fresh, and consistently good. I've had the lobster ravioli, the linguine alla vongole, and the carbonara. I took my brother here once when he was visiting and the next time he visited he specifically requested we eat here again! The service has been excellent each time I come here. I especially love the complimentary bread service that they bring you with the different spreads to try. It just sets the place a little bit above others in terms of value and service. One of my most highly recommended restaurants in the neighborhood for sure!

Got the Lobster Ravioli and Pappardelle alla Bolognese and both pastas were very good and attentive service.

My roommate and I came here for dinner as the reviews were good and we live across the street. We walked in with a party of 3 and were immediately sat on the back patio. It was cute and the party next to us made it feel like a neighborhood secret. The staff was nice although the service was slow on the night we were in. We ordered the mussels which were personally what I found to be the best. They also brought out bread with 3 spreads. The spreads were a nice touch but the bread didn't seem that fresh, it was pretty dry. We ordered 2 pesto pastas and a white sauce pasta (totally blanking on the name). The pesto pastas was fine but I feel that I honestly make a better homemade pesto. It just wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping. Over all the vibes are nice but the food isn't anything special.

The FOOD was delicious indeed. All of it! Service great!! Ambiance small -quaint, clean nicely done interior. Was perfect. Will definitely-definitely go back, and very soon. Highly recommend. You wont be dissatisfied.

How lucky can we get on the Upper East Side! A new upscale Italian restaurant just opened on First Avenue between 86th & 87th. Everything about this place is amazing. The food is the delicious, the service is warm, friendly and professional. The decor is charming. My husband and I have been several times and can't wait to go back.

Beautiful space and lovely ambiance. Exceptional service. Enticing specials. Loved the rosemary butter too.

Reaaally good, fresh pasta. Highly recommend the pesto tagliatelle. Intimate ambiance and great servers/host. And FREE bread with delicious little spreads! Great addition to UES.

Tonight I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at Pavin, a lovely Italian restaurant that just opened up at 1663 1st Avenue. It's a tiny super charming spot that features some elevated items on their menu. I enjoyed their olive tapanade with delicious bread to start with a glass of Tuscan red. I highly recommend the grilled octopus, and the Pici alla carbonara was perfectly done in a traditional Roman way. My only wish is that they add more options to their wine menu. I would love to enjoy a Barolo or a Motepulciano next time! Bravo!!!

Everything was truly incredible! Definitely coming back ASAP. It was unreal. Sevice was also top notch! Made me feel so comfortable. ambiance was also great!!!!

I have the respect for Chef David who was taught by his grandmother. A great chef is very picky about the food he puts out. He made for Chicken Masala. It's a dish from Sicily. He was born in Rome. So I know he definitely has an edge. If you go to Little Italy in the Bronx, Raoi's or Patsy's they have good Italian food. This chef has Roman balls to challenge my pallate. When I walked in and asked him about the quality of his food. He said, if you don't like, you don't pay. I was really really please.

The food and service was incredible. The carbonara was to die for and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Small little restaurant, but we only had a party of two. The server was very nice and helpful.

Very clean, Italian tablecloth restaurant. Ambiance is very pleasant with an Italian bistro elegance.

This place is phenomenal, way behind our expectations. It has a cute,seemingly casual neighborhood vibe, but the attention to detail was amazing and offered a sophistication while not overdoing it. Lovely glassware, elegant lighting and excellent service. The food was incredible, we had Caesar salad, Caccio e pepe, lobster ravioli and a seasonal cheesecake with pumpkin sauce. All were amazing!!!The bread and homemade dips were unexpected and delicious. 10/10 will definitely be back

This Is a new Italian restaurant. Two of us had dinner there last night. It was excellent! I am having my left overs for lunch today! It is quite small but very attractive and clean. I had pappardelle alla bolognese and my friend had linguine with clam sauce. Both were fabulous. Even the bowls in which they were served were beautiful. The only change I would like to see are more pasta dishes ie. pasta primavera and better bread. Highly recommend Pavin 86

We had a fabulous meal here. Everything about it was great - the food (scrumptious), the ambiance (lovely and lively), and the service (very attentive). Highly recommend Pavin 86, a great addition to Yorkville. We started with a Caesar salad, which was very authentic - creamy and full of flavorful Parmigiano Reggiano (the anchovies were great, too). For our mains we had the Lobster Ravioli and the Tonarelli Cacio E Pepe, both of which were delicious. We finished the meal with an excellent cheesecake, which had a yummy, velvety sauce on it. The serving sizes are generous and the prices are fair!

We had the meatballs, burrata, and cacio e pepe and it was all delicious! Servers were friendly, and the atmosphere was intimate. Perfect for a date night or really any dinner!

Absolutely delicious family owned cost restaurant. Homemade pastas, fresh ingredients and a delightful atmosphere. Our new neighborhood spot!
