"A European-style cafe serving Turkish coffee and za’atar and feta toast has recently opened in Downtown Fort Worth. Pax & Beneficia, a locally owned cafe that debuted in Las Colinas in 2019, opened its second location inside Fort Worth’s sleek new AC Hotel, which opened last September. The coffee shop, founded by friends Mouyyad Abdulhadi and Mamdouh Khayat, has an “Andalusian/Arabesque/Turkish vibe,” the duo told Paper City Fort Worth. Abdulhadi and Khayat, who are both Palestinian American, dreamed up the idea for the cafe while on a train ride through Norway. The name, which means “peace and blessings” in Latin, evokes the spirit of togetherness and connection the duo hope to cultivate at their coffee shops. The Las Colinas location has already developed a loyal following thanks to Pax & Beneficia’s frothy, unfiltered Turkish coffees, flavored with cardamom and served in intricately hammered metal cups. The cafe also serves a specialty drink called Sunshine in a Cup, an espresso flavored with house-made lavender and vanilla syrups and tempered with a dash of lemon. The shop’s beans are sourced from San Antonio’s Merit Coffee Company. There are also teas, including matcha, chai lattes, and Rosella, made with hibiscus. Foodwise, Pax & Beneficia puts a Mediterranean spin on the ubiquitous avocado toast with toppings like labneh, feta, and za’atar. There are also sweet bites like Nutella toast and ricotta toast topped with berries. The Mediterranean theme carries over into the decor, with Moroccan tiles and Persian rugs alongside pale wood floors and lots of plants. At 1,400 square feet, there is plenty of room to spread out, and the cafe also offers online ordering for takeout through its website." - Brittanie Shey

Had coffee here for a couple of times and really enjoyed their espresso taste. Clean, cozy cafe to work or socialize with friendly staff. They are busy and run out of ingredients and pastries really quickly. Their kitchen is open until 3. I went there before 1 pm and could get the last almond croissant which was absolutely delicious. Ordered avocado toast and they said they are out of toast and they can serve it on pita bread. I asked if they can add two boiled egg to it and they had only one. When I received my order I noticed it does not have micro greens too :)) but I enjoyed my time at this place. Very cozy to read a book or work or socialize. Staff are very friendly and welcoming

Google
One of the best coffee shops I have ever been to this coffee taste amazing we all tried a different coffee. I had the sunshine. My had the zhar and my daughter had the trinity this coffee is amazing you I’ve got to pull up on Main Street and fifth and come try this coffee. It’s inside of the AC hotels Marriott Fort Worth and right across the street. Is the corner bakery pull up peace.

Google
Neat little find as I walked around near my hotel was. Great coffee. Another guy behind me came in, ordered then sat down at the Steinway baby grand and started playing amazing piano music out of nowhere.

Joe Benjamin

Google
Great little coffee shop. Got a flat white and chocolate pastry, both delicious. They also sell beans and syrups. I’ll be stopping by whenever I’m in town.

Google
Amazing coffee spot in downtown! During my stay, I visited Pax & Beneficia and tried their iced lavender latte—it was incredible! The flavor was perfectly balanced and refreshing, one of the best I’ve had. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a stylish vibe that makes it a great place to relax or catch up on some work. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town!

Google
Cute store conveniently located next to the Marriott hotels. Unique brand syrups, and a variety of drinks you won’t see at your typical shop like the Spanish Latte ♥️ Comfy couch seating, large windows, and of course tables to remote work/study at. Card Only 💵🚫

Jay Sun

Google
Great coffee. Really enjoyed the Spanish Latte. Also really like the atmosphere of this store. Location is really centrally located for all the hotels too.

Google
My friend and I popped in for a quick coffee on our way to work, and we were lucky enough to be served by Suzie! She was super sweet and really helped us pick out the perfect drinks. Honestly, it was some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. I can't recommend this place enough!

Emily O.

Yelp
Great coffee and even better customer service! Super cute place and lots of unique coffee and non-coffee options. Highly recommend. We'll definitely be back!

Abra B.

Yelp
Very swank place downtown that I very much enjoyed! I got the Spanish Latte and it was supremely creamy and lightly sweet. Their vibe was laid back despite how modern and trendy it was inside. Could have easily worked here or met a friend for an hour or two. Kind and friendly staff with great help when I didn't know what to order. They had light pastries for snacking. Good spot for sure!

Whitney H.

Yelp
The atmosphere is very lively. The food has gluten-free options. The staff is super nice. The drinks are beautiful and tasty!

Josh S.

Yelp
Nice coffee spot in Fort Worth. They make an authentic Turkish coffee and take pride in the quality coffees they make. The food options are limited, but done with quality and fresh ingredients. A little pricey, but there is no doubt that you are paying for quality.

Milton H.

Yelp
Honestly the one thing I can't stand form this place, is how by 0930am they always seem to be completely out of all the pastries. It's extremely annoying and they don't seem to care

Howard K.

Yelp
While visiting Fort Worth this week Pax and Benificia has been in the lis of places to try. On recommendation I decided to try out the Turkish coffee. This is the first Turkish coffee I have so I don't have anything to compare it to. But the coffee itself was very nice. There's a hint of simple syrup and cardamom. The process is neat to watch as well. I also tried the decaf coffee, which is only available as an espresso. I chose an Americano. It is a very smooth decaf coffee as an Americano. Seems to be just the right ratio of coffee and water. The highlight of the experience is the Saturday morning staff. Seems to be a few college age males living their best life. Everything is fun and there was even a competition on who's gonna make the Turkish coffee and who makes a better Turkish coffee. Overall experience was excellent.

Becky P.

Yelp
Delicious. Traveling in Fort Worth and had to stop in each morning for a coffee. They even remembered my mom's name from the previous day. Someone picked up an egg salad toast that was delicious! Really enjoyed the Pumpkin Latte!

Rod S.

Yelp
Had a house brew. It was pretty good. I should have tried a mocha or latte but it was in the late afternoon and I needed a pick me up. Vibe is chill but outside is pretty busy.

Nat J.

Yelp
This place makes me wish I lived in Texas! The closest thing I have is taking home a bag of their coffee beans but it's just not the same. Their coffee is absolutely delicious and every item on the menu I have tried is outstanding. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Of course I had to purchase this adorable book written by the owner. I can't wait to be back.

Eric B.

Yelp
Cashless... tired of charging $5-10 all the time. Espresso is very good, atmosphere very comfortable... and baristas very nice! Just can't believe cash is no good in America.

Andrea G.

Yelp
OMG! I'm obsessed with egg salad. I just found my new favorite coffee shop. Their egg salad toast is simply to die for. Plenty of seating and great views of the downtown area.

Lydia C.

Yelp
The service was decent. The barista almost got my order wrong until I reminded her My order was iced not hot. The shop could be cleaned better. Coffee on the counter, milk spilled everywhere. This is coming from a current barista at a very fast paced coffee shop where service, cleanliness, accuracy, and speed are the keys to a successful coffee shop! The music was also too loud and the coffee WAY over priced. Easily could go somewhere else for way better!

Stan A.

Yelp
Great coffee. The barista made a suggestion for my wife and she loved it. The hummus and avocado toast were amazing. Both had pomegranate which brightened up each dish. Looking forward to going back tomorrow.

Alan N.

Yelp
Good coffee. No complaints. It's fancy. Cool place to sit. Walking distance to things in Fort Worth.

Isela L.

Yelp
The customer service was very weird and could easily tell the difference between serving me and then the next "white" customer since I said otoño is Spanish and got corrected. Otoño latte was mid nothing crazy in my opinion. You can easily go to Buon Giorno down the street to get a caramelito with better flavor and customer service.

Marli M.

Yelp
Overall a great experience! Parking was an absolute nightmare!! I mean yes it is downtown but it's in a hotel and we just had no idea where to go. Ended up parking on the street a couple blocks away. Once we finally made it inside the shop was clean and modern. Nothing special but also not boring! The menu wasn't very helpful nor was the barista. They also didn't have prices posted for their pour overs and that was annoying. I came in because of the coffee passport I had gotten from 101 passports, so my drink was just $1! Fun to get my stamp too! I got the otono latte and my husband got a pourover. My drink was absolutely fantastic though the star anise got a little overwhelming half way through and I had to take it out. The pourover was interesting but my husband enjoyed it! They also sell their syrups which is neat!

Joe M.

Yelp
Stop by for a quick cup of coffee. Got the 8 ounce drip coffee black. One of the most flavorful cup of coffees I've ever had. So surprised and satisfied. Also got their poppyseed loaf. Also, just as delicious. I I came back on the second day and moose hooked me up with some great Turkish coffee. All their coffee taste very flavorful and has a great aromatic smell too

Joseph S.

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop, very nice atmosphere, very good service, and great coffee. Had the pumpkin spice latte special and the spanish latte, both very good. Good almond croissants too!

Teresa A.

Yelp
They really need to update their yelp because the hours aren't even listed and they were open when it said closed. Cute little coffee shop and fun, yet expensive fancy toasts. I got their fancy peanut butter and jelly. It was definitely delicious for a quick stop out of town, not sure if I would come back. Their strawberry smoothie was delicious!!!

Danielle C.

Yelp
Trendy coffee shop with great service. The barista recommended I add syrup to my matcha and it was a wonderful combination.

Gabe J.

Yelp
Great coffee place! My vanilla latte was delicious. The place is simple and modern. Great place to sit and work if you get in early enough. It was very busy, so be patient in getting your order. The cashier was professional and quick.

Maria B.

Yelp
Pretty lovely decoration and a very charming coffee shop. I was impressed by the great quality coffee offered and also by the friendly staff. Cris assisted me with my americano coffee. Very charismatic, nice and attentive. It welcomed me to the shop as first time customer. The coffee had an aroma and deep flavor. It was excellent coffee and great service. If you are visiting Fort Worth this is definitely a stop thta you must do! ;)

Kyrsten S.

Yelp
The smoothie is very good. The service was good as well and they are cashless. My only hiccup was that, though they are faster than other places, they were very slow at getting the drinks up. It was a very nice and cozy little space. Clearly a town favorite.

Don C.

Yelp
I needed a chill place with good atmosphere to hang out a bit in downtown Fort Worth. This place has big windows, seating, decent music, and a packed house. A $6 price tag for a hot tea made me feel like I was back in New York City.

Sam H.

Yelp
7:20 am-friendly, helpful, great staff ! Drip coffee rich and complex, small size amazing - avocado toast fantastic, expertly prepared by hand. If you are at the AC Fort Worth, don't miss this treasure!

Y B.

Yelp
Great coffee as well as craft coffees, pastries are tasty. Inviting location for catching up with a friend or stop by alone. Friendly and informative staff. Turkish coffee for your enjoyment.

Scott C.

Yelp
This is a wonderful little coffee shop in downtown Ft. Forth. Coffee is great. Food is fantastic and fresh and not very heavy. Food offerings are a bit limited, but my wife and I went there three days in a row and always found something delicious. In a way, I would rather see them do a few things well in the food department vs. trying to be everything to everyone. Nice decor with a chill feel to the place. It's a little pricey, but again...high quality stuff and worth every penny in my book. Would go back in a heartbeat. One suggestion: we saw a number of tables abandoned with plates and silverware from prior customers. Customers are supposed to self-bus their tables, but it seems some people didn't realize that. Making the need to self bus more obvious (e.g. having a bus bin clearly identified) or even having the staff keep an eye out for abandoned tables that need cleaning would be helpful. We noticed a number of people (us included the first time we were there) wondering if we need to bus the table from the prior customer to free it up vs. waiting for the staff to clean it.

Azul S.

Yelp
Love this place!! The Zahr latte is phenomenal. The first sip may be a little unexpected and maybe even a tad bigger but by your third, it's so smooth and creamy. The cardamom and citrus notes are so present without being overbearing. The Turkish coffee is incredible as well. The staff have always been super nice and helpful in explaining the different drinks and even let us sample the syrup before ordering. They're friendly and chatty without being too into your business and time. The inside is always very clean and comfortable. Every time im in there for an extended time I see the employees straighten up and wipe the table after people leave. They're very on top of things there.

Meg W.

Yelp
Savory toast is really good the mint leaf makes the toast very yummy . Cortado come with sparkling h2o

Savannah A.

Yelp
Not only is the Matcha Latte great, so is the customer service. Titus was so genuine, patient, and very welcoming, very much appreciated! 10/10!

Jean Paul M.

Yelp
Lively and modern coffee house with vibrant colors and warm hospitable team. We stopped here during a visit to downtown FW and where not disappointed! I was even impressed to see Turkish coffee in the menu along side a Flat White (this was a great sign that they knew their coffees...) which all turned out to be great quality. We also ordered some of their toasts which are generous portions and have an amazing presentation (aka fancy looking) - the toast was a bit over toasted and crunchy but the overall flavors and original combinations made up for it. Definitely recommend this as a pit stop in FW when looking for good coffee and ambiance (and maybe even walk out with a snack! )

Eric C.

Yelp
The coffee was not good. The environment and music was good. My dad would drink oil out of a fracking rig, but he couldn't finish his Americano. One of our lattes, I believe it was the trinity, was utterly sour and we couldn't finish that one either. The only ones we could finish were the vanilla lattes, and those were below average.

Melanie M.

Yelp
The ricotta toast was DELICIOUS! A bit pricey for a single slice of toast but the honey ricotta was so delicious. Definitely planning to try and make at home in the future. Service was super friendly and the baristas were kind and chatty. It was a really cute location and a perfect spot for a bite to eat and warm coffee on a rainy day.

Natasha L.

Yelp
Delicious food and drinks. I tried the matcha latte unsweetened, matcha latte with honey and vanilla, and a latte with lavender, and all were amazing. The baristas are efficient and friendly. The cafe itself is beautiful and rustic. It is spacious, with ample seating. I live on the other side of the country, but I would love to visit again when in the area!

Brandian R.

Yelp
Needed a little pick me up as i finished some work on a Sunday afternoon. So oppose to getting hotel coffee at the AC Marriott i decided to go support this small and business. ordered a latte with a fruit cup. as you see in the picture the art work on top of my latte was just the icing on the cake. fruit was fresh and juicy. can't wait to go back to fort worth and support them. Highly recommended!!!

Gina J.

Yelp
Great little find steps from the Loft I rented for the week. Place is very cute and clean. I ordered the salted Carmel latte and it was delish. Perfectly sweet and just the right amount of jolt to get the day started.

Morgan H.

Yelp
My dirty chai latte with oatmilk was good! Not the best in the world, but I'd have it again! The baristas were so friendly and helpful, and it was pretty reasonably priced for how quaint and modern it is.

Andrew A.

Yelp
pretty good coffee and food, but they lose one star for being sold out of most things multiple days in a row and another star for not accepting cash.

Kristen B.

Yelp
The staff was super friendly and the drink was delicious! I will visit them on my next trip to Ft. Worth.

Christina M.

Yelp
Best coffee and best service! I love the Fort Worth location. I worked at the las Colinas location and love the coffee there and the Fort Worth location has the same level of excellence and quality of coffee as well. The location is stunning and so cozy! I cannot wait for Fort Worth to love their new gem like I do!

Craig F.

Yelp
You'll see why this is one of these best places to have breakfast during the Main Street Arts Festival in downtown Fort Worth during the weekend!! And lot more fun to attend, too!!

Brian S.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in today afternoon no one in the store. I ordered a cappuccino asked if I could have it in a mug. The attendant said this time a day we don't serve cappuccino in mugs only in paper cups. Anyone that knows anything about coffee understands a cappuccino tastes horrible in a paper cup. My wife's asked for a water and the female attendant said we have bottled water and put into a cooler below the counter. We looked at each other and said no thank you and walked out. The Pax & Beneficia in Irving is much better. They have a large water container with lemon customary cups for customers free. You can get a cappuccino anytime of day in a mug. We walked to Buon Giorno Coffee. They had 6 people sitting there drinking coffee. Also had a large container of ice water with lemon and glasses available. I enjoyed a proper cappuccino and a large mug. Today competition is fierce and service is everything. Worst service from a coffee shop will never be back.

Shayne A.

Yelp
Service was good. Bummed about the lattes we ordered. Taste like a few drops of espresso flavoring was added to a cup of water, then topped with foam.

Monique H.

Yelp
Great little coffee place near Sundance Square and below the AC Hotel. Lots of options for whatever type of coffee you want. I had an Americano and it was aromatic and strong and got me going for the day. The butter croissant was good too. They have some ready made foods for lunch like salads and also have breakfast tacos in the morning.

Jose D.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! Great coffee and great food! I been staying near by for a conference and been coming here everyday for breakfast and coffee

Annette L.

Yelp
Excellent flat white and excellent cappuccino Not too much milk Very smooth Great staff Great croissants as well

Alix N Jason E.

Yelp
Visited downtown for the weekend and walked to this place a couple days in a row. Good lattes, friendly staff. Saw their avocado toast ordered by several people and it looked amazing.

Lynn N.

Yelp
My fav downtown coffee shop! So comfortable. Product is great! Avo toast with feta: yum! The team is so lovely and welcoming! Thx Harrison, Ariana, Gavin and Molly. You made this out of tow visitor and her pup feel so at home!

Tana W.

Yelp
I usually get just a regular vanilla latte and it's so good. Great quality coffee! They usually have a small seasonal menu with some different drinks to try. Cute little place. Recently went and got a pumpkin spice and wasn't a fan at all. Thinking it was just really heavy on the seasonings. Also got the seasonal "Zahr" i believe that's the name and it was good! Very different. Highly recommend!
