Pazzo Ristorante and Wood Fired Pizzeria

My husband and I went to Pazzo Pizza on Friday and it was fantastic – both food and service! When we went, the restaurant section was closed but staff offered to seat us there if we wanted … which was super nice of them. We sat in their to-go service area and, although small, it was perfect and staff even brought us an extra side table for all the pizza we ordered lol. Speaking of which, omg, the pizza was sooo melt-in-your-mouth yummy. I got the wood fired vodka sauce margarita and my husband got the wood fired vegan veggie (which we were so grateful that they even had and he said was the best vegan pizza he’s had yet). I also had to try their Brooklyn style sicillian with a sweater red sauce and that was fantastic. Will definitely be back!

My sibling and I wanted wood fired pizza and the other local option was closed, fortunately Pazzo was a great option! The parking lot is not special and the layout is a bit odd but the space is great! The service was quick and the pizza was tasty! I would recommend to anyone and specially if you want a quick bite to go! 🍕

Why doesn’t a pizza place actually deliver pizza? I called to place an order for pizza on a busy night (Halloween - first mistake). They told me delivery orders are placed via their website. I then went to the website, placed an order and mistakenly hit “pick-up” instead of “delivery”. I called up Pazzo and they explained they will refund the order, it’s not a problem, but I have to go back online and place the order again. At this point, it still wasn’t clicking with me that they use i.e. DoorDash for delivery. I just assumed they deliver but took the orders online. Shortly after, I received a link via text, to track the order. The time however kept getting pushed back. It appeared the driver had to wait there for 10 minutes (he texted me) for the pizza and then it took 40 minutes to get to my house. I’m exactly 10 minutes away… I’m assuming these DoorDash guys make other stops along the way. The staff from Pazzo when I spoke to them on the phone were so nice and helpful! My issue with Pazzo is how they use a delivery service to deliver pizza 🙄. Isn’t that what pizza shops do? Deliver pizza? So, instead of ordering a pizza and tipping the driver, I now have to pay some DoorDash fee along with it and received a late, cold, hard pizza. I wouldn’t suggest ordering delivery from here.

I’m visited while in the area. I’m from bellmore & I will return! The sauce was phenomenal ! Oh the pizza I had was vegan & I’m not vegan & it was the best pizza I’ve ever had! **Sausage & peppers vegan wood fire ** thank me later! Made fresh for us too

This was my first time here. I came in to everyone with smiles saying hello very warm feeling I asked about a veggie slice the man told me everything inside it found out it was gluten free so at first I didn’t want it but the lady behind the register told me it was so good she also said they could add cheese if I wanted well was she wrong it wasn’t good it was Amazing this is the best pizza I have ever had I will definitely be coming back

Despite our better judgement, our family keeps giving this place a chance after them screwing us over time and time again. This pizza place's notoriously bad service has literally become a running joke in our household, and this will hopefully be the last time we make an attempt to tolerate their consistently disappointing antics. The owner has berated their employees in front of customers to the point that they all look miserable EVERY TIME we go there, without fail. They'll mess up orders and proceed to fabricate lies about what happened to cause the error, while simultaneously blaming these poor young people that work for them. They give wait times that they knowingly cannot meet (cue "5 more minutes" over and over until, before you know it, you've been waiting over an HOUR for a simple order) EVERY. TIME. And I've never been more uncomfortable at an establishment than I have been when tagging along to pick up dinners at this restaurant. They hardly ever greet us, despite us having picked up food from their restaurant multiple times... if anything, they act stand-offish towards us, the paying customers. Pardon me for trying to give your somehow thriving business our money. I wholeheartedly agree with every other 1 star review on this restaurant's page. The 5 star reviews BAFFLE me. Don't know how this place hasn't failed yet. I wish I could word this all nicer, but I'm genuinely sick and tired of this establishment. We were there tues 10/7/25. This was our second time at Pazzo with four other friends & the food was absolutely delicious. Plus the atmosphere was great & quiet you could actually have a conversation. Definitely a hidden gem.

This pizza is absolutely phenomenal. I had a margherita slice, grandma slice, and a garlic knot. One of the best pizzeria garlic knots I have ever had. Pizza crust is thin and crunchy. Amazing.

I'm a bit confused how my white bean and escarole soup had so many red kidney beans in it... I'm dumbfounded that they sent meatballs in an unsealed container with a thin, watery sauce, and I'm dismayed that this awesome short rib and mushroom pie was so oily it saturated the pizza box. All of this, yet the food was still quite good despite all the misfortunes and mis-steps. I don't even know how to rate them ... 3.5 seems right, so do I go 4 stars for the solid flavors, or do l go with 3 because the pizza needed a third ingredient for complexity and a lot less grease, the white bean soup was made with red kidney beans, and the meatballs were in an ounce of this sauce... But that short rib pie could be something really special, I added a balsamic drizzle, even great with some horseradish. We definitely want to explore the menu more, am I right? Who else has tried em?

great food and real pizza but now has had a terrible fire 2 weeks ago i hope they reopen soon

Food continues to be good. Loosing Maria recently was a terrible blow to everyone including her customers. Every person who came into Paz was also greeted by Dean. He was also one of the most consistently kind humans we have met. Maria and Dean made the whole experience what it was. Good food and good people. Now Dean is gone. Fired. It will never be the same

Party of 6 on 10/7/25. Was absolutely delicious. All had different dishes and each one was totally satisfied and then some. Great food and friendly service!

Right off the bat when you walk in you know it is different - the smell is AMAZING! The wood lends a unique flavor and aroma to the food and the air! I had a couple of slices that were nice and thin, crispy and very flavorful. Dean, who is making the pies and doing the cooking, busy as he is, is one of the friendliest guys you will meet in a Pizza place! He says hello, welcomes you, and makes sure you know something about his offerings. Sure, its a small place and sometimes they are very busy and do not have all the time in the world to chat, but ask any question and Dean is happy to help! Maria is soft-spoken and kind, and the food is always top notch. Service can be slow at the counter, they have been understaffed a few times while I was there, just Dean and Maria. But the food is worth the wait. On another night, eight of us ate in the dining room, which is very attractive, and the food was excellent! We will be going back in a group again - especially after the Cruise Nights at East Wind in Wading River. Pete G.

Dining in the ristorante side of Pazzo is wonderful! Six of us have been twice & have all really enjoyed our meals. Cozy & quiet too. From gnocchi, linguine with clams, Fra Diablo , chicken ala Steve & wild mushroom ravioli - all was delicious!

Best deep dish pizza around. But you have to order it 2 hours ahead of time! Great place!

The food isn't bad, but the women who owns the place is out of her mind. The pizza is good for the area, does a decent take out business but no one is ever sitting in the restaurant because the owner, control freak that she is won't pay a waiter or no one will work for her. If you order take out, to pick up food, they won't make it until you show up and pay for it before you they will make it. The on line menu does not have the correct prices, so you will shocked by the price when you go to pick up your food and the reason they won't make it until you pay in advance. Lots and of crazy rules on the food. She would never survive if there was real competition

Went to Pazzo yesterday for dinner. We asked to sit in the dining room and was told no pizza. We have ate pizza in the dining room before so we told them this. They said they'd allow pizza for an appetizer. One out of the seven adults would have a salad and pizza and the other six were planning on having entrees. We told them this. The man and one of the two woman stared at us blankly so the other woman said, we can offer one slice as an appetizer but only food in the dining room. We told them six adults would be ordering entrees, we agreed not to order pizza but we were with a vegan who wanted their vegan pizza. They refused. SEVEN adults walked out the door bc one singe soul wanted their vegan pizza behind a door. There was no one else there but their pizza area was so small we couldn't even fit in the area they offered us pizza at. After the last couple of problems, we went back just for the vegan but after last night, I will never go back....and they upset us so much I'm also looking forward to letting everyone know what happened.

Best white 5 cheese pizza on the island and I'm from Brooklyn..... And their spinach ravioli with blackened chicken & asparagus is AMAZING, you'll never find this dish anywhere.

DO NOT place an order for delivery. One hour 20 minutes and we're still waiting. They're only 1 mile away from us. Delivery schedule on grubhub is misleading. Never again

I live in Maryland but was in the area yesterday and I can say, without a doubt, this is the BEST pizza I have ever had. I am vegan and their vegan options are amazing. Every pie is made with such love and care. This is a little hidden gem on Long Island. I'd drive the 6 hours just for pizza.

Can't have Pizza in the dining room front entrance was cold and only a couple of tables so we walked out. And the dining room was dead empty. Wood Fire Pizzas no stars from me

What a gem! Homemade Italian food with a huge vegan/vegetarian menu. Cocktails were very good. Bread and vegan butter to die for. Salads were delicious. My wife had tofu eggplant Parmesan and loved it. I had wild mushroom stuffed ravioli with short rib. Lots of short rib. Surprised me. Superb! A definite must come back again and again.

So much vegan options! And delicious! The service is a bit slow but worth the extra 15 minutes. They are super friendly!

Always one of the best slices that you can get ! Family run pizzeria, with mom running the counter. Whenever me and the kids are craving pizza this place is our go to.

I had delivery, so no comments about the venue but I had the sausage and kale pizza which was very full flavored. Not greasy or runny at all, the slices stayed intact. We also ordered a goat cheese salad and that was very well made. I'm definitely interested in dropping by and exploring the rest of the menu.

For whatever reason there's three pizza places in Wading River and we only need this one. They got the best slices. For anyone looking for a fantastic vegan or vegetarian slice they got you covered too.

Everyone here is friendly and attentive. I've only eaten in the front area which serves its purpose creating a comfortable place to eat. The highlight of Pazzo is their unbelievable pizzas! From the classic wood fired Margherita pie to any one of the specialty pies. They all have a delicious flavor with fresh ingredients and cooked to order. The best pizza in town!

Really delicious vegan options. Full vegan menu available. The waiters are really nice. All ingredients taste super fresh. Good flavor and portions. Located near other vegan spots and winery's to stop by for a quick bite.

First time here, ordered their chicago style pizza. I was excited they sold a pizza like this... While I love NY pizza, I had deep dish in chicago once and it was very good and I looked forward to having some again. I called ahead, wait was 2 hours which they said is normal for the cooking time of their deep dish pies. I got to the restauarant on time but waited an additional 30 minutes. The man who making the pizzas apologized but this seems like a common occurence for them. Deep dish pizza was very good. The sauce was sweet, maybe a little too sweet for my taste. But it was still good. I would return but perhaps not on a busy weekend since it seems they have a serious issue with having food ready on time.

good food but I just witnessed the owner barate a bores head drive for where he parked in front of customers! was completely out of line and so rude and I just cant support a restaurant that has no respect for other h beings like that! That parking lot is the worse I agree but drive around and get on with your day dude - the drive is just doing his job too what was he parked for 10 mins ! so disrespectful!

They're ok but just too slow LaBistro is far better in authenticity and service Just look across 25a, it's always crowded

Other than it taking a long time to get food- it's was AMAZING! The warm bread was Devine, loved the eggplant Parmesan too! We'll be back

Best pizza ...so much so that after we had a slice or two we ended up ordering a pie to go .....it's just THAT good! Would make the hour and half trip again ....

I've ordered from Pazzo's for years and absolutely love them. Their grandma pie, and anything involving their vodka sauce is fantastic. I also believe they've improved upon their wait time estimations, and Maria and Lydia are lovely. Long live Pazzo's!

This place absolutely SUCKS. I am extremely disappointed every. single. time I order from this place. Waiting literal hours whenever I UberEats/Doordash, food quality gets worse with every order. My last straw was when I went in person. Employees WILL forget your meal, and from personal experience it is NOT fun running around and attempting to remind them. Don't waste your time here whatsoever.

I went to this establishment after my daughter once prior went to this place to take out food I went with a party of 5 people and the lady at the counter she told me that I couldn't eat in the dinning room area I wanted to order some pies and some pasta she wanted to sit me in the front by the door and she said we can't sit in dinning room area if we aren't all eating pasta why would you turn away business not great customer service

We hadn't ordered from Pazzo again in many years due to the consistently-incorrect orders we endured, but recently tried them because they have a vegan menu and we had some vegan friends stay with us for a couple days. They did a great job with our order and everyone was happy with the outcome. All special requests were honored with accuracy and the food was great. I will now be willing to do business with them again in the future!

Food was excellent! Pizza delicious and chicken entrees were fabulous. We did takeout on several occasions. The owner is lovely.

Some of the best pizza around, their vegan veggie pizza is amazing and I'm not even vegan. Their braised short rib in cognac sauce pizza is literally the best pizza I've had ever. Minus a star bc as amazing as their food is THEY ARE NEVER ON TIME. if you want a pizza for 6pm you better order at 4pm cause they'll tell you 45 min but it never ends up being that. They're always super busy so just keep that in mind if you need it by a certain time

Pizza tastes great but the service is absolutely terrible. The pizza takes forever to be made. You can call and they will tell you an hour and when you show up you will still wait 30 minutes because the pizza has not even been placed in the oven yet. If you have 3 hours to wait for a pizza pie... then great place

I've been a loyal customer of Pazzo for years now, but unfortunately its original issues still plague it to this day. I'll start off by saying the pizza is delicious as well as the catered food. My guests are always raving about it, which keeps me coming back. That being said, their service gets worse every single time I go. If they tell you your pie will be ready in an hour, I'll get there in an hour and fifteen and it's still not ready! EVERY SINGLE TIME. Every employee has no idea what they're doing. As far as I'm concerned the only competent ones are the cooks. There have been so many times I'm in the mood for Pazzo but I just can't bring myself to deal with the inevitable headache. Pazzo please hire some competent workers and provide decent service. I want to order from you so much more than I do, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Came here to try there broccoli rabe pizza. They didn't have it and they said it would take 10 mins to make. I didn't have time to wait. Boiling hot in there where they make the pizza. We asked to sit in the dining area where the AC was. First time we asked the woman (owner) said no. Then after my toddler was sweating so much. I asked again. I don't get it. The place was empty, why give your paying customers a hard time about sitting in the AC room when it feels like 100° outside? I'll never return here. On top of it, I think when we finally sat in the AC room, she turned off the AC. Unbelievably ridiculous service. I left very pissed off and was about to cry with the service we had.

Pazzo in Italian means crazy! I hate to say it but you'll be crazy to eat here. All of the flavors are slightly off (to my pallet), you may disagree but it was a bit disconcerting. The tomato sauce was a bit too sweet and the spaghetti with garlic and oil seem to have hints of cinnamon? What's up with that? Why would they do that? The chicken sorerntino was edible, moist with a nice slice of eggplant but that same sweet sauce on top. They offer a pasta night which is probably the draw for the locals, for $16.95 you get a lot of food. Soup or a salad, a glass of wine or soda, a pasta dish and a dessert. They do have a wood fired oven that is turning out pizzas in the pizzeria portion of this establishment and I cannot attest to the quality of the pizza but from the smoky tang in the air you know that it's a woodfired oven. I don't like to bash an establishment, especially after Covid. Sometimes people just need to get their bearings after an event like that so we should all give Pazzo another chance.

I ordered two wood fire pizzas and 4 slices for takeout, I was very impressed when I got home and the pizza was still piping hot and delicious. When you walk into the place it is like a everyday pizza place. They have a dining area in the back for those who want to have a dining experience and normal seating in the front for a quick slice. All the workers were friendly. I definitely recommend trying out their wood fire pizza.

Sorry, not impressed. Ordered before driving over, giving them a good half hour to make 2 pies (one regular vegan, the other mushroom brick oven), a vegan Calzone and a doz Garlic Knots. It was over an hour before we got our food! The brick oven pie was really burnt on one side, but otherwise good. The Regular vegan pie was not brick oven and only had vegan cheese w/"sweet sauce". It was extremely sweet (How?, was my question, and so it should be yours too. Sugar??! ) The Calzone was short on flavor (I question the "vegan" ricotta), and poorly constructed that it came apart. I dislike giving poor reviews, especially since it's a family business, even the little guy is in there with Mom & Dad and big brother doing the best he can! I hope it works out for them, but the place is too haphazard for me, and unfortunately, the quality did not match, nor exceed the price tag. "Sorry, I'm out."

Great service! The wood fire pizza was so good, forgot to take a pic of the full pie! The drinks were on point and the Italian Pistachio Cake was to die for. Highly recommend if in Wading River area.

We ordered the Rosemary Fig pizza and Garlic Knots. I don't know how to describe how amazing it is! The toppings were the perfect blend of savory and sweet sitting on the most deliciously flavored and perfectly charred crust! The ingredients taste super fresh. Definitely recommend.

Good food but this is the third time I've been here and every single time they tell you a time frame it's always at least an additional 20 minutes you have to wait. So if you don't mind waiting an hour for pizza a salad and knots come here, if not, I wouldn't recommend it. I believe the guy is just understaffed and takes everything upon himself to do all of the orders. So you really can't be mad that you wait that long in my opinion. I also ordered the eggplant parmigiana pizza and it's just grilled salty eggplant on top, not fried eggplant which I thought it would be. It's also made with the sweet sauce, which it did not mention on the menu so I was disappointed. The garlic knots and vegan Caesar salad were good though.

Every time we eat at Pazzo, it is always a treat. The service is five star, as is the ambience and presentation. The food is, without fail, excellent. The Gorgonzala salad is the best of all local eateries. The chicken marsala was exquisite. Until next time....

It was sooooo good got the Sicilian slice to me the kinda taste like jets pizza and that some of my favorite pizza. But you can tell their ingredients are way fresher !
