"About nine months after opening in Uptown, clubby Italian restaurant Pazzo has shuttered. The restaurant's landlord at 2680 Cedar Springs Drive is reportedly seeking 'one or more' months of unpaid rent, and the locks on the doors have been changed, according to GuideLive. Pazzo's social media accounts have been deleted from Instagram and Facebook, and its owners have not yet issued a statement on the restaurant’s closure. Pazzo opened in January, and offerings like a Jersey Shore-inspired cocktail and brunch made it seem like a solid fit for the party-friendly neighborhood. Recent Yelp reviews of the restaurant indicate that the last couple of months were pretty hit-or-miss for diners, with reviewers describing the food as 'the worst ever' and 'embarrassing,' along with plenty of complaints about 'abysmal' service." - Amy McCarthy

I've heard Pazzo makes the only hand made Pasta in uptown and I was in the mood for some hand made pasta. I was met by manager Derek, he gave me a tour and some dish suggestions. Tony the bartender was very knowledgeable about drinks and made me an epic tamarind chili margarita. I started with the Caesar salad. They use sweet gem lettuce, it is crispy and firm and holds the Caesar dressing very well. The flat croutons were layered in between and were a nice touch. I tasted fresh anchovy and Parmesan reggiano. Yum. Chef Mitchell was kind enough to greet me and explain the dishes. The chicken meatballs appetizer was excellent, the fresh ricotta on bread had a nice balance of flavor. The Milanese' breading was well seasoned and the chicken was tender. The spaghetti and meatballs is delicious, the hand made pasta is stretchy and the veal meatballs & ragu had a rich complex flavor. The pasta is off the hook! Hats off to Chef Mitchell, great menu. I highly recommend Pazzo Uptown.

I live close and have to say that this is a place that Uptown Dallas really needed. When we had dinner there was a lot of activity going on in both the restaurant and the lounge. The food is terrific, try the "Ribcap Steak", and the DJ in the lounge was great. We definitely liked the "craft cocktails". We are coming back to try out the brunch.

I visited for an event held here during happy hour. I had a positive first impression from the atmosphere and the music they were playing. Service at the bar was great. Pictured is the Summer of '76 made by Tony. The appetizers we ordered (meatballs and calamari) were OK

Came here for a dinner one night and it was delish! Would definitely recommend this place for drinks before a big night out or even just a simple and sassy brunch! The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is because the back club area was dead and appears to be that way most nights. Other than that the patio is very aesthetically pleasing.

My friend and I ate here last Sunday for brunch. 5 stars for excellent food. But my constructive criticism is why I am taking off a star. First, we had an 11AM brunch and the restaurant was playing club music like it was 10pm with no one inside. I'm sure it was due to the weather (It was raining) because I highly recommend this place! Just suggest the music in the morning be more brunch music setting. Second, I ordered the avocado toast. It tasted delicious and will be ordering it again next time. I just wish my toast or egg was a little warmer when arrived. It wasn't really warm at all but not cold. The cinnamon bun was delicious! The servers and wait staff were wonderful and friendly. Again I highly recommend!

Delicious Italian food! The whoops noodles were delicious and had a surprising kick. The pepperoni pizza was also delicious. Highly recommend the white truffle garlic bread!! Our whole group enjoyed their food. I have a few complaints: Our food didn't all come together, the server had to make several trips from the kitchen to bring our food. The pasta was not toasty hot, still warm, but I like my food HOT! Also, the portions are small. If you opt for a half portion it is not a lot of food. My husband and I shared a full portion of the pasta and a pizza and it was enough food. Tara was awesome! She was very attentive server, never let our waters get empty! Overall, delicious food and great atmosphere. We will be back!

Came here for their happy hour. The prices were great. House wines could be better. I ordered the meatballs. I thought at first they were undercooked (yuck) but the chef was kind enough to come to our table and explain how the slow cooking process is different than baking. He was right, they were fantastic.
