Yelp
Saw this pop up on my Yelp after looking up poke shops in the area and decided to give it a try! I have my usual poke spots but decided to venture out and see how this shop compared.
- PARKING -
Pretty small lot, and it can get filled very quickly during peak hours.
- SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT -
Tucked in the left hand corner of a small plaza, you might miss it if it's your first time visiting. The store itself isn't very large, with only a few tables inside that seat at most 10 people. Many customers take their food to-go, possibly this is why. The staff is very welcoming, and after realizing it was my first time in, the lady offered some suggestions and introduced their menu. It was nice to get a quick rundown, but after ordering I saw an option that would've better suited me that she didn't mention. It was a plate vs the bowl I got, but in the end I suppose it was my fault I didn't look through everything myself.
- FOOD -
Fish is very fresh and good quality. The sauces were quite delicious too, but slightly on the saltier side for me. I got to try Fuego and Maori Kid, and preferred Maori Kid a little bit more. Portion sizes are on the smaller side for the price in my opinion, and again wish I had gotten the plate option.
- OVERALL -
Glad to support a local business, but will probably continue on looking for other poke shops.
