Google
I have been intrigued by Pea Ridge since driving by it for past couple of years. I should have tried it sooner. It’s such a good mixture of deliciousness! We went with the specials tonight, which were crab cakes & the sirloin steak. Super reasonably priced & the flavors were incredible! Angel was our server & did a great job! Aaron, the owner, checked on us too! Overall, we had an excellent experience & will be back!

This cute space is amazing. Had the best fried chicken and the service was attentive. The gravy and mashed potatoes were amazing and definitely traditional southern cooking.

Great dinner at a local restaurant. Well worth the drive to this homey, layback, restaurant with s rustic feel. The limited menu with daily specials is unique and delicious. Starters sandwiches are $10-20 and main entrees $20-30. We started with shroom pita, and had spotted snapper special and loaded potato for our mains and finish with pecan bread pudding. Local beers and house wine rounded out our dinner. We came before the dinner rush and the service was personal and exceptional. We even had a chance to talk to the owner/chef who thanked us for having dinner with them. Tables surround the central located bar and dog friendly outdoor seating. A couple of TVs are located in the restaurant for sports fans.

Google
I found this place when I Googled brunch restaurants in the area, and I'm so glad I did! The staff were super nice, personable, and engaging with great conversations. The food (Roasted & Grilled Shrooms on Pita) and cocktail (Decatur Lemonade) I ordered were FANTASTIC. I also had a group leaving tell me that the burger was exceptional. I definitely highly recommend this place!

Google
I wanted to write a review as I had read some that were less than glowing…. In particular one about an awful steak…. Steak isnt even on the menu. This was my third time to the restaurant, although it has been a couple years since I was last there. We went for a birthday celebration of five people, even though there was a hurricane storm coming from Florida. I have rated the restaurant five stars as you have to take it for what it is… It is an absolutely charming local restaurant. It is not on the scale of a Michelin rated restaurant, but if you want something that’s close to you in Decatur, has fabulous food, and is a darling spot, It’s the place to go. My friends got anxious about the wait time for drinks and food, but again, there was a hurricane on its way…. I think they were understaffed by one person. Most of us got the country fried steak, which was outstanding and hot ( hot, not spicy ), Another got the pork chop, which was cooked to perfection, and the pasta seafood special was great as well. I went with the Pea Rita Cocktail, which was absolutely delicious. Our server could not have been more friendly. Again, if you want a local spot with fantastic food, It is definitely a place to go.

Google
The seafood was not fresh. I hope I don't get sick. Others in my party were sick all night. The server was very nice, but I was terribly disappointed in the food. Pictures and reviews paint a different picture. I wish I had gone someplace else. Anywhere else.

My Wife and I went there on a spur of the moment date this past weekend....We had the Smoke Chicken Melt....with Maccoroni and cheese and water ....the hostess wasn't 2 friendly how ever the waitress was very nice and assisted us in every way possible. The chicken melt was a bit above basic but not amazing and the Maccoroni and cheese was decent. There was no air conditioning in the building so that did make it a bit uncomfortable. The atmosphere was ok and they had some great art hanging on the wall

This place feels like home and taste like Michelin. Every meal is out of this world delicious and the servings are generous. The staff are attentive and kind without being overbearing. All around an excellent vibe and one of our go to spots.

Yelp
I have had Pea Ridge on my radar for far too long. I should have gone sooner. Because this place ROCKS! Pea Ridge is easy to miss. It sort-of stands by itself within a very small strip-mall setting. But inside it is comfortable--unassuming and homey. With staff that are simply there to make sure you go home full and happy. The menu changes with some regularity, depending on what's in season, and it is worth checking what's going on daily. No pretense is the name of the game, with a range of influences that start with "southern" and goes all the way to whatever might make you smile. (And there's a full bar--what else do you need?) This neighborhood favorite will be frequented by many regulars who know a good thing when they experience it. And I hear the Sunday brunch is a crowd pleaser. I can't wait to experience that. Holler if you're coming with.

Yelp
I went back again tonight. Our server Angel was awesome! I had the Pea Rita (hibiscus margarita) and it was delicious as per usual. The beet salad was tasty. The vegetables and the sauce on the steak dish were absolutely amazing. The steak I had was God awful. It was cooked medium rare as we ordered, but it was so chewy, lots of fat, absolutely no sear... I could go on and on, but then I'd be sad again. I'd definitely go back, but I'm never ordering a steak from there again. Ever.

Yelp
Lovely, quiet dinner for our first date anniversary. This restaurant is close to our home and the parking was super easy. I enjoyed the onion dip with chips as an appetizer. I also ordered the wedge salad which was so big, my husband helped me eat half, and I still have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I enjoyed it very much! For dinner, I got the shrimp and grits which had a sweet sauce, so kind of like sweet shrimp and grits. My husband enjoyed the dinner special of blackened catfish with etouffee topping. I did not get a chance to try the desserts, as I was stuffed. I highly recommend this local establishment.

Zaqri C.

Yelp
A favorite local eatery. Greeted on entry to see a reasonably full dining room during lunch. No wait for a table. Quick and friendly service. The food is delicious and reasonably priced given the ingredient quality and lovely presentation. Will definitely be back.

Patrick P.

Yelp
Small menu but good choices and tasty food. Paper menus were super beat up and should have been reprinted. And we were likely the first diners of the evening so they were beat up from the day before! Started off on the wrong foot when those hit the table but they came round based on food quality.

Molly B.

Yelp
It's a little bit of a hole in the wall and it's everything you love about little hole in the walls. The coziness and carbohydrate oriented menu was perfect after an overwhelming sugar rush from the Coca Cola museum. I've lost count of all the times I've blurted out "that was the best _____ I've ever had" but when it comes to the blue cheese salad at Pea Ridge, it is not an exaggeration. The bacon bits were perfectly pliable and fried, the dressing demurely hinting at blue cheese undertones but maintaining a creamy base (I'm typically turned off by blue cheese's potency) and the salad wedge perfectly formed into a mountain made for an Instagrammable moment.

Meghan S.

Yelp
I wish I could give 4.5 stars. Pea Ridge has a creative and elevated menu with a refreshing atmosphere more on the casual side. We've been a few times and just went for brunch this morning and I had the BBQ Bacon Shrimp and Grits. The BBQ sauce was different than your classic BBQ flavor. It was tangy with a touch of sweetness and had a small bite. Really good. The arugula on top was perfect for a bit of freshness, and the thick crispy bacon made the whole dish in my opinion. The only downside was the shrimp was a bit dry and didn't taste as fresh and juicy as I'd hoped. My husband got the House Biscuits and Gravy which came with a thick sausage patty and he added two eggs over easy. The gravy was so good we just wished there was more of it. The biscuits were delicious and the only downside is the eggs were over cooked with no runny yolk. All in all, we love Pea Ridge and will absolutely return.

Yelp
Visiting from California and had dinner at Pea Ridge Kitchen and Bar tonight. Delicious meal and great service. Definitely will be back here again when visiting family.

Adira P.

Yelp
I had a fabulous lunch here today. I wish I could remember my waiter's name so I could thank him again here. He recommended the smoked chicken melt, which was *chef's kiss* as was the mac and cheese! 10/10 service, 10/10 food. Will be back.

El R.

Yelp
This ain't regular priced food people! It's a lot. But it is reliably fancy, fresh, tasty, and unusual. The desserts are crazee. Plus you get the best view of Lawrenceville Highway. Real nice guys run this place. What happened to the Happy Store?

Loretta L.

Yelp
I love what this place is trying to do. It's an independent restaurant with cute inside decor and an amazing menu. Their portions are large so plan to have leftovers. When I ate there, however, the service was slow (common at many restaurants these days), the food was mediocre, and I actually had a bit of food poisoning. I wish I hadn't gotten sick, otherwise I would probably have given this place a second chance. Maybe just go for a cocktail!

Perd H.

Yelp
We had dinner tonight. The fried chicken dinner was very very good. A large portion with mashed potatoes, greens and gravy, my wife had the crab salad and was delicious, as was the best salad we shared and our drinks. Spoke to the owner and the service was excellent. Another terrific neighborhood restaurant.

Ed A.

Yelp
Great service and food. Really exceeded my expectations. Tiny little pub behind a shell station, was very pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
Cool little place right off 29 that I had forgotten about until driving around last week looking for something new to eat. Very farm to table feel, small, quaint, and relaxing atmosphere. Not a big crowd in the middle of the week, which suited me fine. I sat at the bar, ordered a burger, plain, and a side of their loaded potatoes. The bartender asked how I would like my burger, and I said medium. She relayed the order back to me, but said medium well, and I corrected her. Waited a few minutes, started sipping my Coke (in a can), and she went over the order again to me, like she had forgotten to put it in. Same thing, she said medium well and I again corrected her. This got me worried, but I couldn't do much now but wait. Food came out in a reasonable time, potatoes were delicious, burger was, yes, medium well. It was good, but I just couldn't finish it. I'm willing to try them again because I like the place, but maybe I'll be a little more forceful with my selections next time.

Katharine M.

Yelp
We LOVE this place. I've never had anything (food or cocktail) that I didn't like here. Most recently, we went for my birthday and got cocktails (they change frequently but I got the grapefruit gimlet which I think they always have)... apps (burrata, mussels)... meals (special of the night short rib, which was like pot roast, and shrimp and grits)... and dessert (chocolate mousse). Everything was divine. Thanks to this place for existing, and being close enough to where I live that I can visit often!

Aerin C.

Yelp
A Great local spot, with nice outdoor seating, and a good bartender. Lots of options and friendly atmosphere.

Deborah H.

Yelp
The best steamed mussels! Large, well-seasoned. Great service from Erin and Harry. We appreciate the friendly service. I had them 4 times in a week they were so good!

RufusT F.

Yelp
Food was at best average. There is not much in ambiance and though not totally full they had several full tables that in this atmosphere was too loud for comfortable conversation. Service was fine. I would not return nor recommend.

Caroline W.

Yelp
Tried to have a small birthday celebration. We are pretty sure our server was high on something. It took 1.25 hours to get bottled beer served and 1.75 hrs to get food which was not only not what we ordered but was cold. None of us ate our meals, but certainly were charged for them. We wound up having leftovers at home. It was loud and chaotic. Hard pass on Pea Ridge.

Jim P.

Yelp
My wife and I ate brunch at Pea Ridge this afternoon. We had a great experience. I ordered the salmon burger with a side of 2 fried eggs and my had the lamb hash with eggs, and we split an order of biscuits and honey butter. The biscuits could be a little more flaky -- I would not describe them as a southern biscuit, but they were still good. The entrees were delicious and I would order both of them again. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. He made great suggestions regarding our drinks, and worked with me to put my plate together since it was not on the menu the way I ordered it. I felt they were very fair with the upcharge to make my entree. I hope they take my suggestion and offer the Salmon patty with eggs and side salad as a regular brunch item since they have all the ingredients anyway. Regardless, it was a delicious meal with good service, and we will be returning.

Yelp
December 5, 2020 Pea came up on a search, curiosity drug us in, and boy did we love it here. We started off with a couple of drinks, I had the Pea Rita which is a delicious El Jimador Silver tequila, hibiscus liqueur, lime, triple sec. Nicole had a local IPA and for a side we chose their local mushrooms, which were served with cut slices of toast to dip into the small skillet the mushrooms were served in. Omg buttery heaven. A second round of drinks for me and tried the Chief Knockahoma (knock a homer) named after some baseball figure, which is made with South Georgia (229) Vodka, Spicy Ginger beer, lime wedge. Super yummy! Nicole and I shared the special which was a beautiful piece of bass fish served with a few sautéed greens. Fantastic! What I love about this pace is how they mix local ingredients and foodiness in each menu item. Dessert ? Yes please! We chose the warm pumpkin bread pudding with icing. Wow! Felt very satisfied when we left. Service was super! Can't wait to come again. Keep up the great work guys!

Nicole L.

Yelp
This was a pretty neat place with lots of history. It was not crowded and servers all wore masks. I got a beer on tap and my partner got a cocktail that I tried. It was really good! The beers were from local breweries. 5 or 6 choices I think. At least 2 ipas. Then we got the mushroom appetizer.... all local! Oh boy was that good! After we got the trout dish to share! Another excellent dish. This was a culinary adventure and we loved every minute of it!

Carole M.

Yelp
Casual local eatery Casual service, casual good food Perfect for the concept Reasonable prices- large menu Salad, sandwiches and entrees We do not drinks - so did not even ask shrimp and grits- big portion and big shrimps Trout sandwich- spicy peppers inside Perfect to hang out on the patio

Roberta L.

Yelp
We've been eating here for several years. It's a neighborhood place that serves excellent food consistently. A thin sliced pork sandwich and the BEST wedge salad are my favorites. The chef makes something called Bacon Jam that tops the wedge and it is crazy good. They also put it on the Brussel Sprouts. Trout bang mi also very good, a little heavy on the dressing. Good side dish and salad options. Like many places they sometimes have staff issues but be patient because the food is worth it and the staff very nice.

Robin M.

Yelp
There's a nice atmosphere, and the service is good. It's a neighborhood gem in my opinion. The crab cake appetizer is really good and large enough to be an entree. My husband had the crab cake salad and really enjoyed it as well. We plan to put this resturant in our monthly rotation.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
First, the Good: The food is FANTASTIC. We came here on a recommendation and sat outside. Mussels are stellar and service excellent. I feel like we found a gem in our own backyard!! I can't wait to try the pork loin! Now the opportunity: I mentioned that we sat outside. It was dark, but there were large roaches everywhere - akin to those palmetto bugs. Please get that handled. Exterminators can keep them at bay and away from your customers.

Kimberly A.

Yelp
Have been to this place a few times and have never been disappointed- always fresh food, good service, and diverse choices that sing to my pallet! They have wonder micro-brews on draft as well as make a mean (awesome) dirty martini!! Great local place to check out where anyone can feel at home!

Connie W.

Yelp
Wow! This is a neighborhood gem! Food so good! We shared a flash fried trout sandwich and red lettuce salad with pineapple vinaigrette and the best coconut pie! Then coffee across the parking lot at corner cup.. Yes! A great surprise find all the way around!

Megan S.

Yelp
I've driven by this place a thousand times, they got my interest this past week with their family dinner special for Monday. Let's call it take and bake...the whole family loved it, even my semi picky almost 4 year old. (Pesto chicken lasagna) we will definitely be trying again!

Stacy F.

Yelp
Oh where do I start? Probably with that 5 star rating above, right? Folks, I cannot say enough good things about this place! From the moment I walked in until the time I left (nearly 3 hours later!), it was stellar service, out-of-this-world food, delicious signature cocktails and just an absolutely delightful evening overall. So let's start at the beginning. Now, a warning: this place is small. But, somehow, even as packed as it was, the gentleman behind the big L-shaped bar helped me find a space to sit at the bar most comfortably. There, I ordered the "Main Attraction" from the specialty cocktail list [bourbon? yes please!] and it was amazing. He was attentive in cleaning up my space before I sat down and, also in checking in with other patrons aound me drinking and dining at the bar. (yeah, I eavesdrop a bit) :-) A couple of friends showed up very shortly after and somehow there was room for them too in an already-full-to-the-rafters place. [How is this possible? Is this place magic? A TARDIS of sorts, perhaps?] We chatted and sipped our drinks as they made up our 8-seat table for us. **NOTE:** The reason I mention the space size is to make sure you're not scared off if you come here and the lot is full and the place seems packed. I think we've all been places where we get ignored or treated like we're hassling the workers in those circumstances, right? You won't be here. Not if tonight was any indication. So on to what you want to hear about, right? THE FOOD! This establishment is conscious in using locally-produced foods as much as they can. Because of that, it's a real treat too: the menu changes often! If you're on the Book of Faces, you can look them up there to see the current offerings (they're also very good at responding to FB messages: I asked them a question earlier this week that way about their menu and they responded within the hour!). There are sandwich and salad staples, but rotating dinner plates. And vegetarians? Delight! Meat-free dishes here for you to enjoy on the staple menu and the rotating one as well, as well as sides to choose from instead of just your standard side salad. (though don't overlook that either! yum!) Since we were a group of seven, we all ordered different things, so I'll only speak on mine here. First: an appetizer of house-made chips we all shared with a variety of dippings for them. My friend liked the horseradish one; I'm a blue cheese girl. Divine! The chips are out of this world and the chunky blue cheese spot on. Second: I got a hamburger. I almost hang my head in shame writing that here, but after the chips, I knew I couldn't eat a big dinner plate. That, and I'm going to assume every other review is about the fancier foods so...hey. Let's see if this place can actually cook a burger "medium" when you ask for medium, shall we? OH MY GOODNESS, they can. It was the most perfectly cooked burger that I've had in a long time. AND it also came out at the same time as every other person's meal at our table. Usually in a bigger group that means your burger will be overdone while sitting under a heater or something. Not so here -- well done, Pea Ridge! Since I already had the chips as an appetizer, I switched my side to the soup. They had just ran out of the first soup of the day (a tomato-based vegetable) but had another waiting in the wings: a creamy mushroom one that was absolutely divine! [if you see an oyster mushroom soup on the menu when you go? get! you won't be dissapointed. well, unless you're allergic to mushrooms or something. then you might be.] ;-) THE SERVICE! Through it all: all three courses (of course there's homemade desserts too!), drink replenishments, etc.? One word: Attentiveness. Another word: Super Friendly. (okay, that's two.) Always right there if you needed something but never in your face otherwise. And remember how packed this place was when we walked in? STILL that kind of service. The icing on the cake for me (I was too full to actually eat REAL cake - though it looked delicious), was when they offered to wrap up the half burger I couldn't finish, noticed I still had about half of that delicious mushroom soup left I couldn't either (I ate a LOT of those homemade chips, y'all!), and so they put THAT too in a to-go container for me as well. I've never had any place save my soup for me like that before and I'm tickled that I'll be able to warm it up again for lunch tomorrow. Okay, y'all -- so I think I've waxed poetic enough about this place already, yes? If you've made it this far? 1.) Thank you! and 2.) What are you waiting for? Go give them a try yourself! I'm already making plans to go back.

Dorothea L.

Yelp
We came with 2 little kids, and we ordered buffalo chicken legs, mussels, scallops, the vegetable plate, shaved lamb sandwich. The tables are covered in brown paper so you don't have to worry about whether the table is clean. Everything was very very good. Most everything on the menu looked good to us. Also the dishes are unique without being pretentious or off-putting. It feels like you're eating in alphabet city or the lower east side in lower Manhattan. Meaning we'll worth the trek for those who can't live in a trendy part of Manhattan. For dessert the seasonal bread pudding was a coriander and cashew bread pudding which was very tasty. If you can make it here you're very unlikely to be disappointed with whatever you order as long as you're a fan of good food!

Robin H.

Yelp
dang it i really wanted this to be good. we used to go often pre-C then realized it had changed owners and had no alcohol license. Visited tonight and I managed to eat my ultra salty fake looking shrimp by dousing it with cocktail sauce. guy beside us asked for a refund for his food-and "manager" never acknowledged his issue. Server was great. The place was rather empty for a Friday night. too bad!

Dillon O.

Yelp
The ambience is dive bar but the prices are more like Buckhead martini bar. Food quality, although all right, doesn't justify the lofty prices. Shrimp and grits were good, plentiful and grits were creamy. Wedge salad was just OK, I've had better. Service was speedy and pleasant. Overall, just all right, wouldn't be my first choice in the area in the future.

Ashley R.

Yelp
Stopped in tonight for the first time in about 6 months. The atmosphere is just as great and friendly as ever and I was greeted by name! Mara is an amazing server and she always has a smile to give! Had a piece of pie and it was just as good as I remember! If you want to go somewhere for a friendly face and something delicious, stop by here!

Disa M.

Yelp
I've never had a bad meal at Pea Ridge. Their menu is modern enough without losing the comfort side of the dishes, and they always have a few house specialties like pickles. Staff has always been friendly and attentive. If you're out on Lawrenceville Hwy and want a pleasant casual dining spot/bar to eat, Pea Ridge will fit your need!

Douglas H.

Yelp
Love this place Excellent food Great deserts Friendly engaged staff Had become a new favorite

Steven D.

Yelp
They seem to think that this hole in the wall disguised as a "fine dinning" establishment can charge five star prices and give you two star quality. My fish was severely undercooked. When I brought it to the waiters attention he remarked "That's how is supposed to be cooked". Every time I come here I get a disappointing meal, attitude, and have to pay dearly for all of this. I am done with your restaurant.

Michael L.

Yelp
Visits: 1 Pea Ridge is an interesting mom and pop style restaurant serving up American classics with a twist. I'll admit I haven't been to this Lawrenceville Hwy/East Decatur side of town much, but Pea Ridge, to borrow the words of a friend that dined with me, feels like an oasis opened up by Bob Dylan in the middle of a desert. Food: 4/5 The food here is solid and you can tell the chefs put heart (and mind) in their cooking. My party of 3 decided to start with sharing the oft-talked about appetizer: the sweet potato and kale fritters. Think hush puppies replaced with a soft sweet potato and kale mash. I thought this was just OK - the fritters came with a horseradish dip that when used, felt overpowering, and when not used, didn't really have a distincting taste. Sometimes when you're eating fried foods and the taste doesn't really stand out, the best description of what you're eating is to just say, "feels like fried something." For my entree I ordered the Sliced Spicy Beef sandwich - which was much better in taste. There was plenty of spicy sweet meat topped with house-made coleslaw and tucked neatly on a sesame bun. The server told us that they did everything here in-house except the bread, and it showed in the creativity of this dish. Two thumbs up from me for this one - it tasted like a sloppy joe with better meats and coleslaw. I would recommend it. Each entree also comes with a chips or slaw, or for $2 more, you can add a soup or salad. I opted for the soup of the day, which wasn't named, but described as a stew of sorts. I enjoyed the soup - it was a mix of pinto beans, beef, onions, and tomato, and reminded me of a less spicier version of Brunswick stew. For dessert I opted for the Coconut Cream Pie. Again, the chef/owners here really sprinkled their creativity to this dish, as it's not your traditional pie in that sense. I bake my own pies at home and this pie was more of a custard to me. That's okay - the taste was there and very rich and they presented their own take on a traditional dessert dish. I would get it again. I was in a drinking mood pre-meal and opted with the Chief Tokoyama (O4W Vodka with spicy ginger beer and a lime wedge). Who knew vodka and spicy ginger beer go so well together? Saved to my list of cocktail to-try's at home! Environment: 4/5 I like the decor in this place - it makes me feel like I'm on the beach or in someone's backyard house. They have large wall to wall glass windows and ceiling lamps that are crafted from different shapes. Artwork by local artists separate each window and are for sale. Space is OK - with about 12 or 15 4-tops and a bar area that brings you close to the kitchen and presumably the owner/bartender. For comfortable nights, the patio is a great spot to dine out on, as it's covered with neatly trimmed shrubs and adorned with lines of bright yellow lights. Service: 4/5 Service here was great - I'm pretty sure I ran into the owners (when I ordered a drink), and they were accomodating to us in getting seated. I sat with a group of 3 but came with an overall larger group of 11 that we split into 3 different tables. The servers were eager to explain the menu and tell us about their offerings. I took over water refill duties during the night for our table as they did leave us with promptly filled bottles. Bottom Line: If you're in this part of town, or you're driving by 285 and want a good lunch or dinner stop (it's not too far from the exit), I recommend experiencing Pea Ridge. Locals living nearby no doubt have already found this oasis, though it can be a little hard to see from the side of the road for the first time. They have a good amount of well made sandwiches and salads, all representing the creativity of the chefs. Some other friends in our larger party got the Trout Banh Mi and liked it. Pea Ridge is a solid neighborhood casual eatery.

Shane D.

Yelp
Man, do we love this place. The service is almost always top-notch, the prices are reasonable, and the food is reliably delicious. The sandwiches are probably our favorite go-to order - in particular the North Carolina Trout Banh Mi, Grilled Chicken Reuben, and the Buffalo Shrimp. Their dinner menu rotates every couple of weeks, inspired by fresh, in-season ingredients. I've only ever had one misfire ordering from the dinner menu, and they took it off the bill without question. Recently, my husband and I started on the Keto diet, and we've been hesitant to eat out, fearing the hidden carbs that might be in some items, and nervous to ask for modifications to the menu. We needn't have feared this at Pea Ridge, as the moment we mentioned our dietary restrictions, our waiter offered numerous solutions, and assured us that it is never a problem to make special requests. That keto meal, by the way, turned out to be delicious. We love this place, and will no doubt be back again and again.

Minoo H.

Yelp
Update: Went again and they delivered! Everything is always amazing, the spaghetti squash side was good but a touch too garlicky. I have been meaning to come here for some time. I love the location, it's in an unassuming place so it isn't overcrowded during lunch. Patrick Dunn was the head chef at Leon's for several years and he is now one of the three owners at Pea Ridge. Brian Hogan, who owned Shorty's, and John Peter Casey are the other two owners. I checked out the menu online and knew what I wanted to get, sweet potato and kale fritters and the Dekalb Cobb with roasted turkey. When we got in we got a table easily. The sweet potato and kale fritters were out of this world!!!!!! They gave us 6! Even though their fried because their fritters they didn't taste heavy or too greasy. I was disappointed to find out that their online menu is outdated and they no longer have roasted turkey. The smoked chicken that comes on the salad now was good but not breast. The portions are huge!!!!! The salad was too much for one meal so I was able to save the rest for second meal. Despite being uncrowded our food to take a minute. The kale fritters took about 15 min to come out but that's reassuring that means the food is made fresh!! I can't wait to come back and try their other stuff!

Yelp
I love places like this; that care about what they serve. Today my burger I ordered rare medium rare came to me medium medium well. I didn't send it back because I don't want to waste. It was still good, but not delicious ... lesson learned ALWAYS order Rare. I mean it's going to keep cooking once sat in front of me. The girls are so polite. The chef was a doll. JP didn't greet me, (only person at bar) but I'm over it. I love the art.. I love the Olympic channel on instead of whichever News they are politically. The menu is very interesting, with lots of fresh veggie options. Try this cute little place in Tucker. My second visit and there will be a third.

Yelp
I was really surprised! Yes, the cost of the dinner was a little higher than I expected, but I can say that I was impressed by everyone I came in contact with. I had the chicken Reuben, red butter lettuce salad and the potato salad side. I have enough for lunch tomorrow. No attitude, just really great food.

Yelp
Been 3 times and each time I'd give a different rating. 3 stars seems fair cumulatively. Go if you're feeling adventurous and flexible. The meal may be perfect, it may really, really not be. I value consistency over everything else, and this place doesn't have that going for it, but it's not bad... Salads are good. The shrimp, beet combo with arugula was delish. Skip the trout bahn mi, Greek salad with falafel and anything pickled in house. The wait staff is eccentric but (and?) friendly

Yelp
I finally made it here! Do not be fooled by the exterior. This place is super cozy and fun inside. It is a neighborhood gathering place. I was so surprised to run into neighbors here on a Tuesday night. The place was pretty busy. Our server, whose name I did not catch, was awesome! Super funny and attentive. This is a great place for girlfriends to get together for a MNO (which is what we did!). Now the food and drinks: They have a decent wine menu as well as beer on tap and in the bottles/cans. It would be nice to see more local breweries, but no complaints. For food, we started with the zucchini and feta fritters that are served with a horseradish sauce. OMG!! These were seriously delish! The beet salad was huge and so colorful. The smoked chicken salad sandwich was made of pieces of smoked chicken in a sauce of some kind. I wish I knew what is was because it was delicious. The sandwich was topped with greens which accompanied it perfectly. The homemade chips were super crunchy and not too overly salty. I dipped them in the blue cheese which was super chunky. My friends had the pulled pork sandwich which also looked great and clearly it was our table was quiet for those few minutes of eating. Our server was attentive to when we needs additional drinks. He even talked us into dessert. The Bourbon Pistachios homemade ice cream, coconut cream pie, and chocolate ice box cake were the perfect finish to our exciting night! I highly recommend going here.

Yelp
This place doesn't look like much. It's in a run down strip mall, next to a gas station but don't let the environment drive you away. Inside is quaint and simple. Wood chairs and bar, tables covered with brown paper but it doesn't look cheap. I ordered the burger with gruyere cheese and house-made chips as the side. The burger was huge and cooked to perfection. It was so juicy and well-seasoned! The chips were crispy and lightly salted. Excellent! My friend ordered the red butter salad with chicken. The dressing was like a bloody mary vinaigrette but without the vodka. The chicken breast was a big, generous portion, also well-seasoned. Very tasty! If this place weren't so far away, I would definitely go again. I'm hoping I'll have a chance to be down that way again so I can share this with my husband and other friends!!

Yelp
A bit pricey, BUT so worth it! Love the melody of tasty food they put together and it has always been consistent. Favorite drink is the Chief Nakahoma! Not a big establishment but take the time to go, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
This is a beautiful little restaurant with some of the best homemade to order food we had on our trip. The outdoor seating is lovely and surrounded by a wall of small trees and you can see some of your lunch's ingredients being grown on site. We had great service and it's really refreshing to see servers wearing masks and catering to their patron's comfort in these trying times. We enjoyed the local mushroom appetizer which was amazing. This was followed up by a delicious fried chicken slider special and a beautiful beet salad with sweet potato and kale fritters on the side. Don't miss out on this gem!

Yelp
Finding myself in the area and checking the yelp app for places to go, I stumbled across Pea Ridge Kitchen and Bar, a restaurant that i'd never noticed before, and went right in. After checking their menu, I got the following: Zucchini and feta fritters ($7.50) Garlic green beans (featured side of the day) ($4) Coconut cream pie ($6) I tried the dessert first, in this instance, coconut cream pie with citrus whipped cream and toasted coconut.....whoa, this was an amazing piece of pie! From the light whipped cream, to the tasty crumbly crust, worth every penny, and I wanted a second slice! The garlic green beans, which were the featured side of the day, were a little too crunchy for my liking, but they weren't bad in terms of flavor. Sadly, I liked these the least The Zucchini and feta fritters (with creamy "horsey" dipping sauce) were very soft, and were little strips of zucchini, held together with feta and lightly fried. You don't appreciate that until you take a bite in and can pull out individual strips of zucchini if you like. That kinda attention to detail is really great, and so was the flavor. Customer service was great, helpful, and wanted you to walk out happy. Parking, even though shared in a little strip, can be a little tight, because Pea Ridge is a magnet of a restaurant that pulls the entire neighborhood towards it. I wont ding them for price, because you do get what you pay for, but if you're not careful, your meal can easily creep towards the $20 or more range if you're not careful. All in all, i'm happy I stumbled across Pea Ridge kitchen and bar, and it's a nice breath of fresh air to the neighborhood. I hope they stick around for the while!
