I def' enjoyed my time at Peaberry Coffee. You can find this hipster coffee shop in central Oak Cliff (Keist & Hampton)... no, that's not my hood. However, I'll whip through for some Peaberry in a hot minute. From r&b/soul whispering in your ear to the 'comfort at home feeling' and ambiance to the owner, Elijah brewin' up some delightfulness (and answering all of my questions), this is a local coffee shop you want to support.
The common space has a nice, comfy blue couch and chair for lounge seating, a free library, and games, toys, and knacks to keep everyone at bay. Plus, a giant wooden table big enough to hold ten people, a perfect vessel for the event. Throughout the entire shop, you'll find artwork from various artists and all of them for sale. The most notable and awe-worthy is found at the ordering station. This wall is varnished with dope art from Will Heron, @w_heron. This native Dallasite creates prickly, illustrative, high-contrast compositions. You've likely seen his popular drawings come to life as black and white cacti murals. You'll see some of that same popularity at Peaberry. Will's footprint is walking through this coffee shop. Will also designed the new product art for their Vietnamese iced coffee can, Kiestwood Iced Coffee. It's so good that upon sampling with Elijah, I decided to bring home a can of this creamy, rich, and robust coffee. The menu only expands with more items like espresso (of course), Americano, Cortado, lattes and one of my favs, chai. And my write-home-about is the offering of oat milk. If you haven't had this dairy-free and vegan-friendly milk substitute. I sipped on a Dirty Chai while getting crafty.
