"Fans of the ice cream sandwich know where to go when they’re down the Shore and want a cookie and ice cream combo — Peace Pie in Cape May. Blueberry cobbler, featuring blueberry ice cream and vanilla mousse nestled between two graham cracker cookies, and caramel brownie created with vanilla ice cream, salted caramel, and brownies in between chocolate shortbread cookies are two flavor stars of the menu at this Jersey Shore ice cream spot." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

The ice cream sandwich was decent but not for the price. It was $8 and they don’t have it advertised anywhere. It was also very hard to eat as the ice cream is pretty frozen. It was good but not worth the hype.

Google
The ice cream flavor itself was pretty delicious and the cookie was simple but good as well. I can say I enjoyed it entirely, the only thing that was a slight downfall was just how frozen the cookie was. Overall I'd still come back! These sandwiches are pretty big as well, so I'd say it's decently priced for what it is. 😁

Google
My recent visit to Peace Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches was unfortunately disappointing. The pre-made sandwiches took quite a while to unfreeze, and the cookie part was hard until it thawed. As a first-time customer, I felt the staff wasn’t very friendly, which added to the less-than-pleasant experience. Additionally, there was no proper seating available, making it difficult to enjoy the ice cream on-site. I even had to walk across the street to find a trash can, which seems like an oversight for a food establishment. At the very least, they should provide trash disposal options for their customers. Overall, I was underwhelmed and unlikely to return.

Google
A must try if you are in Cape May. The Caramel Brownie Pie was insanely good. I’m not even an ice cream sandwich person and this place may have converted me. My only regret is that I couldn’t try more than one flavor because they all seemed amazing!

I’ve been coming here for 6 years. It is the only place I must go to when I come on my annual trip to cape may. I’ve been here 5 days so far and have eaten 6 peace pies. The best $8 you’ll spend on vacation. Favorites are thin mint and pb cookie dough. Pictured is mint Milano. Hot tip: scan the QR code for pictures and descriptions of each option, as there are like 3 different chocolate mint options and 4 different chocolate peanut butter options, and the employees tend to be quite angsty and don’t know (or care to share) the differences between them.

I'm not reviewing the product as my family did not have a chance to taste them. We had planned our trip to Cape May and this was one of the spots we had to hit. My wife had planned the whole day trolley rides, dinner and then we were going to end the night with an ice cream sandwich. The website said the hours were 10am to 11pm every night. We figured we had plenty of time after our 8pm trolley ride to see the xmas lights. We get to the Peace Pie around 9pm, kids are excited and are told sorry we're closed. So the end of the night ended with tears and disappointed children. Change your website to reflect your real hours. Very disappointed family.

Google
I truly spent #MDW on an 🍦 tour of the northeast. Had to try these icecream sandwiches and even though the harder outer shortbread cookie isn't my jam I had the salted caramel brownie icecream and it was pretty dang tasty. My friend got the peanut butter brownie and he loved it. They have a few other locations, def worth supporting this small business.

Google
Amazing ice cream sandwiches. A must stop shop when visiting Cape May! I tried the cookie dough and it was an absolute dream. I want another one before we leave!!! It's not just ice cream, but layers of cookie dough in between 2 perfect cookie shells. I never imagined a place like this. I wish it was closer to my house! Then again, I don't have the will power to not stop in every day. So the distance will spare me from becoming a diabetic. You must stop in!!!

Yelp
This Cape May gem is an ice cream shop that will visit for years to come. The small shop has a cool walk up window. The ice cream sandwich is tasty and tons of cool flavors to choose from. I'll be back

Gloria L.

Yelp
My husband and I love Peace Pie and always stop by here when we're in Cape May. My only complaint is that they have so many different flavors and variety that I have a hard time choosing one every time I go. They have two lines and are very efficient if there's a lot of people in line. All of the flavors I've tried so far have been great!

Jason M.

Yelp
Peace Pie fell on my radar when researching eateries to try while in Cape May. The name piqued my interest, being a fan of pie and dessert in general I thought this place was right up my alley. Also, the Yelp reviews and recommendations of this place sounded great - so I made it my intention to check them out during my trip. While Peace Pie is not technically in the Washington Street Mall, it sits parallel to it on Carpenters Ln near several other businesses; it's very easy to get there if you're at the mall. There is no interior to the shop, rather it is a walk-up window with all of the production being conducted in a small structure. The exterior is really capturing to the eye - it's bright with an inviting aura. I quickly learned - and it's worth noting - that Peace Pie does not sell pies as in the baked good. Rather, they sell ice cream sandwiches - their signature being that each sandwich has a layer of pie filling in it. In addition to this location in CM, they have two other spots in NJ plus others in SC and FL. As I approached the window I noticed a menu with all of the flavors listed. They have a lot - but it really only lists the flavor name/combo without giving detail to the actual components of the sandwich; you would need to ask or consult the website to get that information. Anyway, the triple vanilla looked good so I went with that - it was vanilla ice cream with a layer of vanilla mousse between two shortbread cookies. The sandwich itself was good - better than a typical ice cream sandwich. Even though it was premade, the quality itself was higher than what I have found elsewhere. Service was fast - there was nobody else there when I arrived so I was taken care of right away. Overall, I was impressed with Peace Pie - it definitely fits in well with the whole beach aesthetic of Cape May, and I wouldn't be against returning the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Had to try this spot. Got the cookie dough sandwich. I wish a little bit more cookie dough and wish the cookies that make the sandwich were a little softer, but overall it was good. Also the girl serving the ice cream didn't have too much of a personality. I felt like asking a question was a major inconvenience for her, but whatever.

Vivian L.

Yelp
A cute little ice cream sandwich spot right in the heart of the Washington Square Mall in downtown cape may. It's the perfect little treat to cool yourself in the jersey summer weather. I love the variety they have and each flavor combination sounds amazing and unique. I would have loved to try a few more flavors but one is decadent enough. Service was quick and friendly. Would recommend for any ice cream lover!!

Sarah G.

Yelp
My 1st time at Peace Pie. I surely was missing out. Such a cute place and so vibrant and colorful. Love the peace signs in the front. The large flavor sign made it easy to pick a flavor and I love how every pie is $8. You can't beat one set price ! I definitely recommend the salted caramel brownie ice cream sandwich ! It was so sweet and the brownie was so gooey and delicious!

Heather J.

Yelp
Yummy!!! A great dessert that I get every time I come to Cape May. Service was friendly. You will not regret a stop here! Such a fun vibe

Emily C.

Yelp
Fun spot for a cold and sweet treat! The exterior is colorful and fun. There are a ton of flavors to choose from, maybe too many -- it is hard to know what each flavor's name actually indicates. Separating out the menu by type of cookie, or otherwise indicating the type of cookie used on each peace pie (like color coding) could be an improvement. During our time in Cape May, we tried the blueberry lemon drop, peanut butter blondie, and caramel coffee toffee. The blueberry lemon drop was incredible and I was thoroughly impressed. I thought the other two were just OK and wouldn't order again; the chocolate cookie on the caramel coffee toffee tasted old and/or burnt. Definitely overpriced for what you get, but still a fun treat!

Jenifer M.

Yelp
Unique and tasty dessert. I love that they will cut the sandwich in half (if you ask) and you can be a little less indulgent. Service nice and it's close to Washington mall.

Michael T.

Yelp
A long overdue review for one of my favorite ice cream spots in the area. Peace Pie serves ice cream sandwiches in Cape May. They're different than your typical ice cream sandwiches. The two cookies are very firm (maybe a little too firm) and are quite tasty. They change flavors pretty often and I've sampled quite a few of them. Not a single one has disappointed so far. These sandwiches are pretty big too, I suggest only trying to chew through one cookie at a time. But anyway, this is a great spot to quickly get some really tasty ice cream. Good value for what you get (as of now the going rate is $8). OMy only suggestion to them might be to make slightly softer cookies? PS: they are open year round to boot!

Emilia J.

Yelp
I give this place 3.5 stars. I got the banana cream cookie sandwhich. The sandwiches comes premade so you can't try any sample which is understandable. The sandwich in itself was good. No freezer burn, nice cookie and the banana filling wasn't too overpowering. I will say I was a little shocked to hear it was $8. I wouldn't say it's extremely expensive but i probably wouldn't come here often. I still look forward to try the other flavors tho!

Elena Y.

Yelp
Get yourself the salted caramel apple! It's so good without being overly sweet. The salted caramel balances out the sweetness and the apple is so good in this. I've tried some of the other flavors but this one is my favorite.

Paul M.

Yelp
Some really good ice cream sandwiches from a cute little stand right off the main shopping strip in Cape May. Friendly patrons and darned good ice cream sandwiches. Their chocolate cookies surrounding the ice cream are yum and the peace signs are a cute touch. Best $8 you'll spend on ice cream. Bring the kids elsewhere unless you want to drain your wallet.

Mary R.

Yelp
This place is soso good!!! highly recommend! lots of options! we got mind chocolate & pb blondie and they were both delicious!!!

Urooj F.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream sandwiches! They are not made fresh on the spot, they are pre frozen but honestly taste amazing! And bc they come pre made, the line goes quick if there is one.

Marie S.

Yelp
A place like this could only have good reviews at a beach. The ice cream is mediocre, the cookies on the sandwiches are thin and hard, and there is little flavor overall. Plus, they give it to out of a cooler (premade), in a paper cone with no napkins, and there is nowhere to sit, no inside at all, or even a garbage pail to throw out the mess. Not worth the effort. I wouldn't go here again.

Micah C.

Yelp
This place is a must if you're in Cape May! I don't really like ice cream sandwiches, but the pie crust is a game-changer. I love the texture of the crust with the soft and creamy ice cream. My favorite flavors are peaches and cream and the blueberry cobbler. They did bump up the price -- each ice cream sandwich is now $8 this summer 2023.

Caitlin S.

Yelp
Peace Pie is one of the best ice cream places in Cape May! I've been an avid customer of Peace Pie ever since they opened. Since then they've opened up more locations across the East Coast and even offer shipping across the country. The service here is always top notch and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance is very different from what you normally see in Cape May but don't let that steer you away as Peace Pie is a gem! There are many flavors of ice cream sandwiches to choose from so there is something for everyone. The layer of pie filling gives it an excellent twist on the classic ice cream sandwich but it's small enough that most picky eaters (myself included) don't have a problem with it. All in all, I would highly recommend a stop at Peace Pie while you're down the shore in Cape May!

Isaac M.

Yelp
This was my favorite dessert I've EVER had! Such a fun and unique idea for an ice cream shop. I had the salted caramel brownie and my wife had the pb cookie dough; both were incredible. I want to try every single flavor!!

Eamon C.

Yelp
These are awesome. What else can I say? I could go through the menu of the 10-15 I have tried. Still think pecan pie is my favorite. I just can't believe they are $8. Fits the bill of cape may though. I get it. Will never stop coming back.

Martin M.

Yelp
A wide variety of delicious ice cream sandwich flavors - frozen solid but eat it fast on a hot day! The staff is always polite and efficient- great service. 2 lines that move quickly. I recommend the Jersey Devil sandwich!

Nick C.

Yelp
Fun and delicious! Trust me, this place is definitely worth a visit. We were amazed by Peace Pie's large menu of ice cream sandwiches (their framed Allman Brothers tee caught our eye too) that we had to try them. Our family tried many different flavors throughout our visit, and my personal favorites were the Jersey Devil (with some delicious blueberry ice cream) and the Peanut Butter Brownie. Save some room in your stomach for some dessert at Peace Pie!

Ponnu V.

Yelp
Peace pie is amazing! The ice cream sandwich is huge and so many flavors to choose from! We went 3x on our last Cape May visit because I am obsessed with he strawberry shortcake. Two windows open and service is quick! Totally worth the trip. I'm

Cristina E.

Yelp
There are lots of ice cream options in Cape May, but none as unique as Peace Pie! My Peace Pie was DELICIOUS! They solely sell super elevated, gourmet ice cream sandwiches. I ordered the most popular flavor - salted caramel brownie - and it totally exceeded my expectations. The "pie" (aka cookie sandwiching the filling) was a chocolate brownie shortbread. In between the cookies was vanilla ice cream coated with a thick layer of salted caramel sauce topped with huge chunks of chewy brownies. All that was in between the two chocolate cookies. Super decadent!! I was expecting the salted caramel and brownies to be mixed in the ice cream itself not as separate pie components. The layered ingredients made all the delicious difference. Well worth the $6! Peace Pie is tucked away just behind the main Washington Square Mall on Carpenter Lane in a tiny, cute, colorful hut. Don't miss out on an amazing ice cream experience, my fellow ice cream connoisseurs!

Thomas G.

Yelp
Simple ice cream sandwiched by two cookies. Whenever we're in town this place is a must and I imagine has stolen some desert sales from the surrounding restaurants. A variety of gourmet ice creams and choice cookies make this a life changing experience according to my wife. They are big and awesome and at $7 a sandwich it's easy to share with your partner.

Anastasia R.

Yelp
Tasty treat on a hot day! This is a fun take on an ice cream sandwich, but I found myself missing the softness of the typical flying saucer wafer. My husband liked the shortbread cookies of the peace pie so it's definitely dependent on personal taste/preference. The pie filling was creamy and complimented the ice cream well. I took my sandwich apart and mostly ate the ice cream/filling. They have so many flavors so if I were to return, I'd try one with the chocolate cookies instead. By the way, since they're pre-made, expect a very cold first bite if you dive right in.

Sonia V.

Yelp
Best ice cream sandwiches ever! Try the caramel coffee toffee or any of the other awesome flavors!

Diane P.

Yelp
Great little ice cream place. There are so many flavors to choose from. The ice cream sandwich was a nice size for the prize ($8). The guy at the counter was really nice.

Samantha C.

Yelp
Peace Pie is an ice cream shop that exclusively serves ice cream sandwiches. They come in a variety of flavors. I got the Bananas Foster which was rich and delicious. They come FROZEN so no worries about your ice cream melting down your hand in the August heat. I also love the hippie, tie dye, fun aesthetic of the shop too!

Brahm G.

Yelp
Great flavor combos. We tried not to, but came back for seconds! A bit pricey, but really yummy!

Cassie B.

Yelp
Who doesn't love ice cream shoved between cookies!? Someone in our group wished the menu had been clearer about what type of cookie comes in what sandwich, but we all enjoyed our ice cream sandwiches!

Jaime D.

Yelp
While i love the peace pies themselves, counter people were shocked that i asked for a trash can to discard of the wrapper full of melted ice cream from my toddler. They do not have a trash can. The counter people are rude. Get a trash can and cut down on the litter.

Caroline N.

Yelp
A great find in cape may! Was pleasantly surprised this is an ice cream sandwich place. It's an elevated version of that with shortbread cookies and a "pie spread" and ice cream sometimes will extras such as brownie pieces. The $8 price seemed steep but after eating it, it was worth it. Would keep going back!

Alan S.

Yelp
This is an amazing treat! We have been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. The only conundrum is which one to order.

Beth K.

Yelp
We had a good experience at Peace Pie. There are a lot of ice cream options to choose from and the cookies are really good... the cookies are bit a hard because they're understandably kept in the freezer. You order from a pick up window - there are two pick up windows. The service was decent. There's no trash right outside the place which I feel like there should be because you have to eat it outside. There's no seating- so you have to find a bench nearby or walk and eat. I recommend!

Gwendolyn P.

Yelp
Why have we not tried this sooner? This was one of the best deserts I've had! It was delicious, easy to eat, fairly priced and no wait.

Deb P.

Yelp
Delicious, unique ice cream sandwiches!!! A lovely October stay in Cape May , and among our discoveries was Peace Pie ! Their pecan pie flavor is awesome & made my evening! Everything about our experience there was exceptional! Check it out you will not be disappointed !

Saraswati A.

Yelp
Yum!!! I had the Salted Caramel Brownie pie and OMG! Loved every bit. Don't miss this spot if you are in Cape May.

Suzanne K.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream. Very unique idea. 10/10 recommend trying. The blueberry was my favorite. My husband loved the brownie salted caramel .

Lucy P.

Yelp
This has to be one of the best ice cream sandwiches I have ever had. The cookie part was not soft which was able to hold up to the ice cream. I went with the keylime pie flavor and it was awesome. It was tart and creamy with a pie shell cookie. There is a thin layer of pie filling between the cookie and ice cream. Can't wait to try the other flavors.

Jo S.

Yelp
Stopped here while in town and definitely recommend it. I'd never had an ice cream sandwich with pie filling before so was a new delicious treat. I had the Boston Cream pie and my friend had the pecan pie and both were yummy. The ice cream was smooth and the shortbread cookie was very tasty. I personally would have liked thicker layers of the pie filling but that's just my preference. FYI: There is no seating there but there are benches close by to sit.

Joshua U.

Yelp
The most delicious thing we ate this trip to Cape May! I got the Strawberry shortcake and my wife got the Pecan Pie. The shortbread cookie on the outside is the perfect texture to hold the sweet and creamy ice cream inside. Great flavor combos... we had a hard time deciding which one to get but had no regrets!

Tricia B.

Yelp
OMG!!!! These were sooooo good! A stroke of culinary genius - classic pie flavors in everyone's favorite ice cream form sandwiched between crisp cookie wafers! Thanks fellow yelp reviewers for leading us here. IG: tmwilliamsphotography

Warren N.

Yelp
This is the kinda of place you want to see at the shore. Bohemian, with ice cream goodness. Of course I got the salt brownie ice cream sandwich. Awesome and worth the $6. Would go to again.

Natty C.

Yelp
Yummy treats. The ice cream was really tasty. I didn't like the cookie. It was too hard and not a good flavor. They have so many options here!

Christina L.

Yelp
A very fun Ice cream shop! This place has such a unique and creative idea for eating ice cream. Cookie sandwiches filled with ice cream and pie filling....delicious! I had the jersey devil which was fantastic. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the flavors!!

Co B.

Yelp
My favorite ice cream in Cape May! Service is always great and I love the ethos of the company.

Caitlyn H.

Yelp
The most creative and delicious way to eat ice cream. I've tried nearly all of their flavors and never had a bad one. My favorites are the salted caramel, blueberry lemon, and peanut butter cookie dough. Just make sure to eat is quick because they're difficult to eat while melting!

Fran H.

Yelp
We stopped here in cape may since it was open Later than most places to get our sweet on. We had 4 flavors and they were all good. The one I had was the blueberry and lemon... was so so good . We had the pecan pie ice cream sandwich, we had a brownie chocolate peanut butter the brownie wasn't a crowd favorite but still good and we had the key lime ice cream sandwich. All in all we would go back there are lot of choices. Go go go ... 6.00 each !
