I’ve been here 2 times already, both times I’ve left feeling very relaxed. I had the 90 min combination massages both times, which they incorporate hot stone, deep tissue and foot massage for only $75! If you’re looking for a fancy place, this isn’t it. The rooms are tight, you can hear other people’s conversations, the masseuse barely converses with you, and the “doors” are only curtains BUT the massages are worth it. The staff are professional, quiet, and use hot towels to clean off the massage oils at the end. Left feeling very relaxed, I will be back again.

Hands down the best massage out there! Such a clean spa, the staff are very friendly, and the quality of their massages are top notch. If you want a real deep tissue massage to get out all your knots, this is the place to go. Also, amazing prices. You cannot beat this place, I have been going here for years now and I highly recommend!!

Great massage at affordable price. Top tip is to call in advance and specify the massage service you want! Unfortunately I asked for the Aromatherapy ($80/60min) and in person I switched to the Combo massage ($50/60min) but was still charged the $80. The staff doesn’t speak English well so they didn’t understand but personal mistake. Otherwise it’s a great massage place!

Absolutely didn't like it. Was very excited to go just to be so disappointed. Has many massages in my life to know that this was by far the worst one. My body feels more tense than it was before I came in.

Do not go here! - I recently went and got scratched, my ankle feels sprained from a stretching technique and lots of elbows on my spine and bones. Then they wouldn’t let me leave until I paid a %20 tip. I am not going back here and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Basically no waiting area and you can hear people on the street/traffic, but they do a good job and you can’t beat the price. Worth the money for the massage, less of an “experience.”

Only positive thing is that it is very clean, the manager is very rude and ignorant , you have to pick your massage therapy wisely because majority of them lack technique and not aware of their clients comfortability I would only recommend Nina but as of today I will not be going back ever again

Not sure why this place has such good reviews. There is no proper waiting area, you can do hear what's going on in the rooms next to you, they cover you in an old seeming huge green towel. And the woman who massaged me gave an obvious negative response to my tip. I'd skip this place.

Listen up everyone if you want a wonderful foot massage I would highly recommend this place. They are patient. The ladies do a great job each every time so relaxing. They dim the light for me every time and I fall asleep every time.!

I had mixed experiences at this massage place. My first visit was genuinely good -- the therapist ( was a male) was attentive, the atmosphere was relaxing, and I left feeling refreshed. Unfortunately, my second visit was the opposite. The masseuse seemed rushed and she definitely was inexperienced, putting pressure where she was not supposed to. (it was a young girl with a poney tail) . On top of that, there was constant loud talking outside the room, which made it really hard to relax and the masseuses were talking between themselves ( we had a couple room). I'm disappointed because I know they can provide a great experience, but the inconsistency makes it hard to recommend right now. Also, please find a more pleasant and helpful receptionist , the gentleman at the front desk has 0 customer service skills.

Where do I begin? That's right! Best massage I've had in a WHILE, at a price well below market for the area, in a tidy second-story suite. If massages were shopping experiences, Peaceful Body Spa is neither high end boutique nor dollar tree. Rather, it's your aging but dependable local Target that's due for a remodel but you still get all the Target merch and the staff is reliable so what does it matter. You get me? Now for the particulars - - Booking: I had to book online and it was simple enough. A bit unusual that I was asked to pick three dates/times that could work for me and they booked one (my first choice, later that same week, which was great). No payment up-front, so I felt the risk was minimal. - Getting there: I added a picture to this review for each step of the way! Find the door next to the kids' shoe shop ground floor, they'll buzz you in. Note that second floor only appears to be stairs accessible so that may be a challenge to watch out for if you are a differently-abled patron with mobility challenges considering this venue. - Price / payment: price was great, even better if you pay in cash. They have an ATM on-site that only charges a dollar. Don't forget to tip when you're pulling cash out. - Experience: There is no massage foreplay, as it were. Get undressed, get on the table, buckle up because (in my case) you asked for a deep tissue massage and you're going to be breathing through it while they massage the crap out of you. I was part of a 2-person massage so we had a bigger room at the end of the hall. If solo, expect a curtained smaller but still private room. It's likely a language barrier thing, I wasn't asked if I had tender spots or where I wanted to focus. That said, if I had a request while getting treatment my masseuse was kind and responsive. When the timer goes off their time is up and they leave the room without comment. I guess what I'm saying is, the experience surrounding the massage itself is a bit spartan compared to other massage outfits I've been to. Now that I know what to expect, I'm good. In summary: this is a no-frills experience and a quality massage at a reasonable price. 100% would happily return as a regular if I lived near here full time. 4 stars due to accessibility constraints and experience, was a 5-star massage.

Solid Asian massage place that I have gone to a handful of times where I have not been disappointed and service is consistent regardless of which staff member you get. Place is clean, there is a bathroom. The "rooms" are subdivided with usually 1-2 beds in each. There is calming Chinese folk music playing. "Walls" are thin so you do hear noise at times. Oils are used. (They towel wipe after). Hot stones are used too which I find enjoyable. The staff does do the "walking" on your body (which may be painful and less work for them) but they ask before they do it so if you don't like it or can't handle it, please speak up. Consistent performance and if have tight spots or knots, they are the place to go to. I work out a lot and my body is tight. I do not know if there is a difference between their "Signature" vs "Aromatherapy" as they run the same script every time I am there. I generally book for 1 hour via Classpass (20 credits = ~$50) which is close to their cash rate of $55 ($58 for credit card). They don't skim on time. Convenient as close to the 2/3 72nd st train station. Located on 2nd floor on a walkup building. No elevator. Tip is in cash (There is a ATM machine there) and I give around 20-22% and generally have not gotten any dirty looks and been cussed out in chinese.

I tried this place on a whim. I had some time to kill and wanted a break from walking around in the heat. I looked up the Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try as I love a good Chinese foot spa or Thai massage. It was a little tricky finding it as there is no sign at street level. You have to buzz the door and walk up stairs. I didn't see anything that made it disabled accessible. The man at the front desk was very nice and I was taken directly to a room, which was nice since I just walked in. The room was clean and my massage therapist was very friendly and I got a great massage for a really reasonable price. I'd definitely stop back in here again.

This is a stunning place for massage. Vivi is excellent, she is nice and friendly,also very professional . Vivi understands massage and triggers points from traditional medicine perspective. That why she not only makes you relax,her treats medical issues, she is best. Highly recommend her!

My husband and I called en route to our appointment letting them know we would be a few minutes behind do to unforeseen circumstances. The man was very audibly upset and annoyed. We arrived earlier than expected, and was rushed into a room, hurriedly explained how to undress and rushed out. Our service was rushed and cut short. When paying the front desk was rude and in a hurry even though it was 20 minutes till close. The staff is rude and dismissive I don't recommend at all.

Great massage for a very reasonable price. I had a deep tissue massage and it was excellent pressure. Very clean and comfortable.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. I came to Peaceful Body Spa expecting a relaxing and professional experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I booked a massage expecting a focus on my pressure points (back, shoulders, and legs), but the male masseuse I did not request spent an uncomfortable amount of time focusing on my inner thighs and backside--areas I did not ask for special attention. Even worse, when I was getting ready for the massage, he almost walked in on me without warning. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and violated. A massage should be a place of relaxation and safety, and I left feeling the complete opposite. I do not recommend this place, and I will never return. If you're considering booking here, especially as a woman, I highly advise you to look elsewhere for a professional and respectful experience.

Affordable and AMAZING! Kiki was my masseuse for my first time here and one of the best massages I've had. I scheduled a deep tissue and she got every knot out. Great fusion as well with some hot stone and Thai massage elements also. Super clean space, also. Definitely will be coming back!

Everything was terrible the communication the front desk gentleman was rude. Massage was cut short by 10 minutes and then they wanna add damn near 10 dollar tax???! I've been coming here for about a year and wanted to see growth because there's always hope but nope... the exact opposite. Front desk was very consistent though,with being rude each and every time. Wouldn't recommend for anyone but when I find a good spot I gotchu.

It is a good place for a quick massage. The price is very fair and services are excellent. Relatively clean and they always try to work with your schedule. As I live nearby I have been there many times.

This massage parlor is an affordable experience that i got off of class pass. It was a great experience! I came in for a couple's massage and the The masseuses were hospitable and did a great job. My favorite part was the stone massage, arm massage and back massage with the most pressure. They went to town on my boyfriend because it was his first time. Each person gets their own unique experience. He loved it I enjoyed mine. They added a face massage for mine which was a pleasant surprise.

This was a 60-minute couples massage with my girlfriend and my 1st time getting a massage. 10/10 experience. My masseuse was phenomenal! They start off doing acupressure, which can be intense in certain areas. Afterward, they massage you all over with oil, and then come the hot stones. What an experience. They don't just leave them on you, but they massage them all over your body. I was stretched, massaged, and even had my feet pounded and massaged. The massesues only talk to check in on you and if the pressure is ok, which is nice so you can enjoy the massage. They know how to work your back, hands, legs, and arms. We will certainly be back.

The best massage I've had in a while. It was the best! I had a 60 min body massage, where it started with the deep tissue, hot stones and overall body massage. I walked in with my husband on a Saturday night, and the shop was neither packed nor too empty. I highly recommend!

This place has been a neighborhood gem and I've been coming for more than 5 years, since before Covid and now after. I always come here when I am tight after a stressful couple of weeks, and after strenuous training workouts. Today i had a an unusual combination of neck and shoulder and hamstring pain that I've had for more than a month. I haven't had anyone more than once but today Kiki worked on me and wow she really understands the pressure points and how to release tight muscles!! Although they said I can't request anyone, I will def call to schedule when Kiki is available!

Booked a combination massage for two people. I booked for my partner and I and requested we have a shared room which they did give us. The room was nice and dimly lit with comfortable tables to lay on. The masseuses were very attentive on both of our problem areas and respectful in making sure we're comfortable. Will definitely book again! We traveled all the way from queens and we'll definitely do it again!

Solid no frills massage spot! I tend to come here and get a 60 minute massage when I need a mid-week pick me up, the price is just right and reasonable. Not really an issue for me but just as a heads up, you can hear pretty much everything while you are in there (people walking by, customers opening the door, etc.) The 60 minute massage includes hot stones and foot reflexology, and I recommend bringing cash for tip. Nothing fancy but definitely gets the job done

Was visiting from Los Angeles, and my body was wrecked from a cramped cross country flight, my friend and I called and they were able to see us right away. The massages were amazing, and the staff was lovely. I would recommend this place wether you are a visitor or a native New Yorker! I hidden gem for sure.

I booked a couples massage for my husband and I through ClassPass. It was a super easy booking process, and the guy at the front desk was polite and understanding when we had to reschedule our appointment due to testing positive for COVID-19. We came in 10 days later after recovering and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The check-in was easy, the massage therapists were very professional, thorough, and gave fantastic massages. The spa was spotlessly clean and we were incredibly relaxed and comfortable. We would absolutely return. Prices are great - at the time we went it was $55 for 1 hour and $88 for 90 minutes. They have a discount for paying in cash and an atm on site. 10/10 experience, 5 stars, would absolutely return.

Wow. We came here after making an appointment and were blown away by. We have left here feeling like new people. My partner and I had the couples massage for 48$ for an hour which came out to about 102$ with the 2.95% credit card fee, without tip. We both had a wonderful time and our masseuses knew exactly where our tension spots were and how to work them. Everyone was super professional, very attentive, and intuitive. 100% will be coming back, probably on a monthly basis, unless I can convince my partner that a weekly is a good idea.

I called as it was advised one of the reviewers but the message box was full. I couldn't even leave a message. I decided to make an appointment request today or tomorrow. I thought this store would call me or text me to let me know which day and what time come. I was working all day long so that I was not checking an email. after returning home I saw a message sent almost 2:00pm letting me know that I could come for 5:30pm appointment. I called this shop and the man insisted that I should've checked my email. I thought it was rediscutons because the online appointment asked my cell number. We live a very busy life in NYC and the stores and companies send us a text message for a short notice. This man at this store said, "We only send a email". It would yod have been my first time ti try but I'll never try this massage place. It's just not professional.

The service requested was ok but the vibe was strange. A guy in the next room was REALLY enjoying his massage and that was a bit uncomfortable. Price was $80 but they tack on a few for using anything but cash for an additional $8. Don't think I'll go again.

Very unpleasant experience. Went for a couple's massage with my husband. The masseuses were busy chatting all throughout the session. She often giggled while chatting, causing her hands to shake as she put pressure on my back--the shaky pressure was very uncomfortable. The masseuse also seemed poorly trained as she had low control over the amount and position of pressure. The massage was cheap though--only 50 dollars! Perhaps this is the kind of massage $50 gets you. However I would much rather not get a massage than pay $50 for such an unpleasant experience.

This was my first massage ever and I'm very happy. It's a Thursday afternoon and I decided to do something spontaneous so I called this place for a hot stone massage and they said I could come right away. This place is right near the train station and there's just one flight of stairs. The place is clean and comfortable. The receptionist was very nice. Tony did an amazing job with the full body hot stone massage. The whole experience was only $53 with tax and fees.

I visited Peaceful Body Spa this morning with a friend, and we had an excellent experience. I love a great massage and have frequented many higher end spas. The 30 minute/$28 foot massage here did not disappoint! I'm so excited to have a great day spa in the neighborhood. The spa is not large, but it's cozy, well lit, and conveniently located right by the 72nd street train station. It is above Tip Top Shoes Kids; press the button by the door to be buzzed in - it's right on top of the stairs. We walked in at around 11am and were taken care of right away. The foot massage area is right behind the register when you walk in - there are 3 large reclining couches. Lay down and relax! You get a towel to cover yourself for comfort. They take cash and credit cards. Due to our time constraints for the day, we couldn't stay longer, but I will definitely be back. The service was excellent, and the prices couldn't be better.

My husband and I have done here for years. Recently I had issues with my neck and used my class pass there. As I was early to my appointment, the front staff allowed me to wait comfortable massage chairs. Once the masseuse was ready for me she was attentive to the area of my neck which I had mentioned to her. She was thoughtful in her approach and did a great job. I will definitely be coming back again!

Went a few times over the year and it used to be pretty decent but it has massively gone down hill. After timing the massage numerous times - you do not get an hour. 55 mins at most. The consistency isn't great - sometimes the massage is good - sometimes it's shockingly bad - to the point I almost walked out. Lastly the man behind the desk is SO RUDE. Will not be going back as I now feel extremely uncomfortable going there.

It was super nice smelling from the moment you walk in! Super loved cece, she did a bunch of different pressure points and went easy on the places I tensed up. She gave a whole foot massage on top of body massage. The stones were hot and she even just used her hands for the warmth at first when I said they were a little too hot in the beginning. Good value for what you pay for!

I'm not sure why this place has such high review. Everything about this place is awful. The front desk is very rude and treat customers very bad. The organization is bad. There is no waiting area. They put the massage equipment and hot stone outside on the floor. They take advantage of classpass partnership to not honor appointments. Save yourself a bad experience and stay away from this place!!

I had a good 90 minute massage. Facilities are bare but clean. Tiny massage "rooms" are accessed by curtains so people coming, going, conversations in adjacent rooms are clearly audible. Young woman didn't ask preferences (perhaps minimal English) but after ten minutes she asked if I was ok. The $75 cost is a bargain so I wasn't expecting lavish surroundings. I'll return.

I booked a Swedish massage + foot massage (total 90 minutes) through Classpass and it was one of the best massages I've gotten in Manhattan. The pricing is similar to the massage spots in Chinatown or LES, but the service is much better and I found the quality of the massage to be a bit more sophisticated. My masseuse was Jamie and she was incredible! I was sad that she had to leave 20 minutes early since another client demanded she have a female and didn't want to wait 20 minutes, but I will be sure to book Jamie for next time. Overall I will definitely come again and if you are near this location, I highly recommend this place. Also, bonus points for cleanliness -- I found the location to be very clean and modern.

I went there with a Groupon and received a deep tissue massage that also apparently involved hot stones. Allen went out of his way to try to dissolve every tight muscle knot in key areas that merited attention. He literally worked himself to the maximum on a cold Winter Sunday when the rest of the world was relaxing or taking time off from modern world pressures, especially with all the ice and snow that struck New York City recently. Allen went out of his way to help out and clear energy channels. From a psychological standpoint, I felt like time was suspended and for this I am eternally grateful.
