I was in Rochester for a quick 24-hour trip. Found this place on Google. The reviews were amazing and the tacos looked delicious. It was even better than I could’ve imagined. Some of the best tacos I’ve had anywhere. Had it for lunch the first day and came back for lunch again the next day before my return flight. I dream of those tacos constantly. Wish this were closer to me!

Wow! What a Gem here in Rochester! Walked in and was greeted by Marco. He took the time to explain the menu and how the food is all made and prepared in house. We opted for the Sopes, and we were not disappointed! Definitely will be back next time we r in Rochester.

Google
Wow. Delicious! Fresh made hot sauce was outstanding. I had one of each taco and all were excellent. I will be back.

Google
Fantastic homemade tortillas to compliment the tacos. Everything I ordered here was fantastic, very reminiscent of being back in Maxico. Be prepared for a slight wait as the food is fresh and takes a little while to cook. My only complaint is more about the city's lack of parking to get here. Be prepared to park a few blocks away. I would certainly return here and recommend it to friends.

Google
Delicious! I got two tacos, the carne asada was my fav! Rice and beans on the side, I wanted to lick the plate. Well done, what's your secret?

Overall this is a great Mexican restaurant run by a lovely mother and son team. Because it’s just two people doing everything, things take a bit of time. That said, the corn tacos, quesadillas & sopes are very well made, solid crispy without being dense. The beef & chicken tacos & beef quesadillas were the best. The chicken & veggie sopes were good too although not so big a fan of the black bean sauce & they’re difficult to eat. Looking forward to trying some of their specials sometime.

2 Small tables at ground level. Steps to 5 small tables upstairs. Seat 2 people. 3 tables can seat 4. Check Instagram for updates. Authentic flavors. Hot fresh. Home cooked. Be prepared to wait. On a hot day like today, you may prefer to wait outside. Thank you for the yummy tacos. We will be back.

Google
Food was delicious! We happened to be there on a day where the special was birra tacos - I never had before and these were amazing. A portion comes with 3 and split between 2 people was plenty! Next time I would order ahead to eat or pick up as the wait can be long be definitely worth it :) Super nice people there too

Yelp
Hands down the best authentic Mexican food in Rochester. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in and around Rochester, and I would say 99% of them are Tex-Mex style Mexican. Not Peach Blossom. This is the place to go if you're looking for authentic Mexican food. Everything from the tortillas, to the meat, and the sauces. I haven't had food with this much flavor in a long time. All of the meats were great, but I think the Al Pastor is the show stopper. It's a no frills venue (small table, paper plates, plastic utensils), which doesn't bother me because you can tell all the TLC is going into the flavors and quality of the food. The service is excellent and you have to respect the hustle from the owner essentially doing everything himself. If you appreciate high quality authentic food, add this to your list. Its a must. Im still full from earlier today and Im already planning my next trip back.

Yelp
After walking in, we almost turned around and left as first impressions were a bit questionable...but, I'm glad we gave it a try because what it lacks in ambiance, it makes up for with flavor! It is mostly takeout, but there are a few tables upstairs to sit and chow down. This is appears to be a one-man-operation, but he is making tacos and Mexican plates with passion and love. Be patient as service is slow, or consider ordering ahead (this is not Chipotle). The al pastor, with thin strips of pork with finely diced pineapple, is really flavorful, especially when paired with the spicy made-in-house hot sauce. The large plate ($14), with rice and beans and a fresh lettuce, tomato, and avocado salad is a really filling meal.

Yelp
It's hard to describe how simple but so flavorful everything was. Be warned, it's just a mother/son run place and everything takes a little bit of time (waited 45 mins during lunch rush) but it was well worth the wait. They could use a bigger sign because I had a hard time finding it, and the interior could use a facelift but don't let that deter you. Go and enjoy this delicious food.

Yelp
hands down, best and most authentic tacos in rochester, made fresh by a super down to earth, positive, and friendly - mother and son team. be prepared though, good stuff like this takes time and you'll need to be patient while you wait, respect their system! bring a book, chill upstairs, and say yes to hot sauce

Yelp
Best tacos in Rochester!! Everyone was friendly and helpful. There are many gluten free options. And the best part, the tacos are incredible and the most authentic I've had in Rochester. I ordered tacos Al pastor and sopes asada. The corn tortilla are handmade, in house, and amazing!! 10/10 recommend! Parking: you will need to find street parking or one of the nearby lots. The space is small and music is pumping! Marco has a great playlist. There are tables downstairs and upstairs. You'll order, wait, grab your food, have the best tacos in Rochester, and then pay when you're done. Orders take some time, so don't be in a rush. But let's be real, you can't rush perfection! You will not be disappointed!!!

Yelp
Went in for the veggie sopes which I read were to die for, sadly they were out. So I asked what else they could make vegetarian. "How hungry are you?" was the question. Hungry! So he suggested the quesadillas over the tacos as they are more filling. $13.50 will get you 3 tacos, quesadillas, or sopes. I would have liked to eat in, but like the predecessor restaurant Byblos, all of the tables were full, so I took my food to go. Can't say I missed walking up that steep stairwell! When he went in the back to make my food, he was gone for a while and I saw multiple people waiting to place an order get impatient and leave before ordering. I would love to see one extra employee/helper, even just someone to say "We'll be right with you" so they don't lose business. The quesadillas were worth the wait (though looked more like a taco) with handmade tortillas and fresh mushrooms, lettuce, and cheese. The hot sauce is LEGIT and I only needed a little. Peach Blossom has been the victim of theft and vandalism twice in the past several weeks, so I suggest going and eating their delicious and reasonably priced food, just go in with patience.

Yelp
Amazing food! Tried all 3 tacos and 2 quesadillas and have to say that these are the best we've had in ROC. Do not let the decor dissuade you from trying the food. Mom and son provide great service and this is truly a hidden gem!

Yelp
Large portions and delicious dessert. I love the crème brûlée and the tres leches with fresh fruit. The food comes out a little slow but the there's only one or two people working in the kitchen. Delicious food and definitely worth the wait!
google avatar

Hailey F.

Yelp
Simple, home cooked food can't be beat. The meat is slow cooked all day, and the tortillas are homemade. This place is worth the wait! The service is absolutely wonderful, I love to stop here for lunch during the week. Check their instagram and socials for specials!

Yelp
First time there with my wife and I highly recommend!! We have been living in California and this is the best Mexican food in rochester. Food was authentic and high quality meat!! Support small businesses. Clean, fast service.

Yelp
Delicious food, always top notch. I'm always impressed. The owner is awesome. Great vibe at this place. Authentic and outstanding. I can't say enough about how good the food is here.

Yelp
We are from Texas and these are some of the best tacos we have had in a very long time! The chef is amazing! They really care about their customers and the food was incredible! We will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Delicious! Tried all three tacos: asada, al pastor, and pollo asado. All three were so good. Tried their homemade hot sauce which was also very flavorful and spicy. I have never had tacos like theirs before. They were a thicker taco, fried so there was a good crunch but not a hard taco. The corn seemed more finely ground than your typical corn taco. My friend ordered the veggie sopes but they were old so the owner offered veggie tacos. They were mushroom and cheese and looked good; friend said they were good. Will definitely go back. Friendly son and mother running the place.

Yelp
The food was very tasty, but definitely a tad overpriced (which you couldn't gauge because they don't have prices on their menu). 5 tacos, an order of beans and rice, and 2 jarritos was $30. The service at the counter was great, but it also took about 20 minutes for our food to be ready and our food was sitting on the counter for a few minutes before I went and inquired about it. Overall, I'd return again if I were really craving Mexican food, but I could probably get a better value for my time and money elsewhere if I'm looking for something quick. Edit: after reading other reviews, I see long wait times are typical and bumped my rating up from 3 to 4 stars. Still not a fan of the price and them not being listed on the menu, but I understand the wait and think it can be worth it for the food if you have the time.

Yelp
Really good tacos! I usually don't prefer pastor, but they have a really good flavor here. The grilled and shredded chicken were also flavorful as were the asada. I would highly recommend grabbing some to go.

Yelp
Wow, the food is amazing! I think the best tacos (Carna asada and Al Pastor) I've ever had! So good! Beans and rice were amazing too. Fresh homemade tortillas. Great, spicy, hot sauce. All around fabulous food! Only problem is, we walked into a basically empty restaurant, and they said it would be 30 minutes. We went for about a 30 minute walk and came back, they said 10-15 more minutes. I'm sorry, if you are a downtown restaurant catering to people working downtown, and serving lunch... you really have to be able to get food out a little quicker than that. We almost had to abandon our meal and walk out becasue of time constraints. I would suggest calling your order in and picking it up!

Yelp
I've been all over including places in NYC like Los tacos number 1. Peach blossom has some of the best tacos i've ever had, will definitely be returning and most likely becoming a regular here. The staff is also so friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Ever since I moved back to Rochester after a long stint in Chicago, I've missed authentic Mexican food. No longer. This spot is absolutely the best Mexican in the Rochester area. The veggie sopes were delectable, and so was the quesadilla. And the crucible-- the al pastor tacos--were as tender and flavorful as it gets. Plus it's run by a super nice guy, Marco, and his mom. We'll probably start going weekly.

Abby S.

Yelp
Best tacos in Rochester and the owners are so nice. It's a little mother and son business so service is sometimes a little slow but it's so worth it!

Yelp
Some of the best tacos I have ever had. Yeah there was a bit of a wait, but it wasn't terrible (about 20 min) and it was totally worth it. The tortillas seemed freshly made--at the very least they are high quality with enough structure to not have to double up. I had each of the three meat options and they were all delicious. This place is a gem.

Yelp
A coworker recommended this place, so I went for lunch around 1pm on a Friday. When I got there, there was one guy waiting for his food, and nobody at the front to take orders. I waited about 15 minutes until the owner (son) came to the front and took our order. By then there were about 3 other parties in line behind us. The wait for the food literally took about 45 minutes (luckily I didn't have to go back to work). However the food was... incredible! Everything is freshly made, which probably explains the very long wait. I would recommend calling ahead to pick up, but even if you do- expect the whole process to take like 20 minutes because for most of the time we were waiting, nobody was available at the front. Otherwise the owner is super friendly and the space includes plenty of seating/tables upstairs. They are clearly very special and well-liked by their customers; however the wait was simply too long Hopefully to accommodate the demand they can bring in at least someone to manage the front.

Yelp
Everything home made in house. Very good food, the three taco platter did the job for me and the service was great. Thank you, Peach Blossom

Yelp
the food was a rate of 2 out of 10. i had the steak bowl which had no steak. Where is the Beef? also the steak i did have was cut so thin you could barely see it or find it amidst the rice and beans and covered with the lettuce. so you really don't know how much meat you have or if you have any at all when they show it to you before they close the box. i am highly disappointed. also they should hire a lunch person to work as we mostly have only 1 hour for lunch in the downtown area. i called in my order he said 30 mins. we wait 15 minutes, walk the next 15 minutes and our food is still not ready. we actually waited an additional 20 minutes to receive our food. but in all sincerity please give people what they are paying for not jus ta stack of rice and beans with two to three strips of meat covered with lettuce and sour cream. it s a rip off! please improve. customer service is great! but the food is disappointing.

Yelp
This was a truly great casual Mexican food experience. Very authentic but with more American portions. You get more bang for your buck. I was suspicious for $5 for a taco but they put a lot on it and it was so well made that it is justified. The main reason I put four stars is because it took 45 minutes to get my food for myself because there was only one poor guy working the whole place. So he had to go in the back to make mine (and other customers') and that is why it took longer than the other items on menu, plus serving everyone that came in. It was definitely worth the wait but if you only have 30 minutes, call ahead or plan to wait if it is only him there. I hope he gets more help!

Yelp
The chicken quesadilla and the carne asada tacos are Amazinggg!!!! Hidden Gem for sure

Yelp
Have been looking for traditional Mexican food like this in Rochester for years. The Al pastor is exceptional, fantastic house-made tortillas and salsa.
google avatar

Pat G.

Yelp
This places serves the best tacos in all of Rochester. I'd order from here 100 times out of 10 and twice on Sunday. The wait is longer than a quick work lunch, so call ahead. But it's because the stuff is made fresh and it's not a secret how good it is. The real deal.
google avatar

Yelp
Peach Blossom is a hidden gem in the city! It is the quintessential hole-in-the-wall stop for REAL, homemade Mexican food. The chef is Oaxacan and her son Marco is really personable and has a wealth of knowledge about the preparation of their food. Both Marco and his mom are extremely personable and we were delighted to taste the fresh tortillas they make IN HOUSE! Since moving to the area from San Diego 13 years ago, I have been searching for anything close to real Mexican street food and this is the closest I've gotten. Do yourself a favor and go get yourself some tacos, rice and beans! We can't wait to go back and try more of their offerings.

Josiah S.

Yelp
Best in the city. The Al Pastor is amazing. Also recently had the Birria and it was untouchable.

Yelp
So good! Everything made fresh and in house. We had the tacos , quesadilla, and chicken adobo . Everything was great
google avatar

Yelp
First off, food is incredible. Definitely the best tacos I've had in Rochester. But I made the fatal mistake of coming at lunch time. Wait was way too long. I waited over 45 min for three tacos. I will hopefully be back albeit at least several months down the road to see if they've been able to run a more efficient restaurant.
google avatar

Richard K.

Yelp
If you want Taco Bell or chipotle, go there, but don't expect fast food faux Mexican food here. This is the real deal! Seriously great tacos and a limited menu but everything is really great. You may have to wait a bit if you pop in and order since everything is made fresh. Call in advance if you are in a rush for lunch. Handmade tortillas and house-made sauces (2 options green: hot and delicious, and red: hotter and almost as delicious) are just part of what makes this overall experience so good. The proprietor and his mother make the food to order and their goal to serve fresh authentic Mexican food...gets knocked out of the park. The quesadillas may confuse people since they look like tacos but they are traditional Mexican quesadillas with cheese and lettuce and 3 options for fillings including sautéed mushroom which is fantastically good! The decor is...well it isn't... but there are tables and since they just opened and are settling into the place, you can forgive that all of the attention is on the food and not the decor. Drink options are currently a nice selection of jarritos sodas and Mexican coke, but options for Agua frescas will be offered soon. The specials change from day to day but if you arrive for tamale day, consider yourself extra lucky and order them!

Richard F.

Yelp
I hear some folks a little upset about the wait times and pricing but if you want good home cooking and the best tacos in Rochester, this is expected in my mind. There definitely is nothing close to this in the area in terms of quality. We come here every time we are in town and it is so delicious! You know its good when they take their time. In fact, I'd be concerned if they were slamming them out too quickly. Be patient as perfection takes time!

Sara W.

Yelp
Amazing tacos and everything really. Owner is so nice and caring. Great spot for takeout, don't forget the hot salsa.
google avatar

Joel C.

Yelp
Tremendous food, freshly made. The owner makes everything himself. It is slow, but really delicious. Homemade tortillas, salsas. Not a ton of options, and ask the ones are good. The quesadillas are not anything like Tex Mex quesadillas , really just a cheesy taco in a bigger shell and delicious. Tortillas are not soft "burrito" tortillas. Summary, strongly recommend. If you order a lot, it is going to take a while, potentially an hour. It's just a family business. Be patient. If you order in person, you'll get treated really well.

Olivia D.

Yelp
So good! Everything feels homemade and is so, so flavorful! Marco at the counter is always friendly and easygoing with customers. You'll find yourself a repeat customer here for sure. Tip: plan ahead at lunch; the wait can be a litter longer when they are busy, even for carry out.

Jeniffer K.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I've joked that I've become a basic person whose whole personality is liking tacos. It's true, I accept it whole heartedly. The al pastor is *chefs kiss*, so flavorful with a touch of sweetness from the pineapples. The handmade tortillas, so soft yet structured enough to hold their own. Moreover, the operation is run by Marcus and his mom, so you know you're definitely spending money at the right place. I've gone back weekly since discovering it about a month ago, some might say this is the most committed I've been to anything in a long time ;-)

Speruthia J.

Yelp
The tacos were amazing and absolutely delicious! However, the 45 minute wait was ridiculous. There was only one guy who was taking orders and prepping the food. Also, he misled customers who ordered ahead of time by saying their orders were done. I think their orders were being made when they walked through the door rather than when they placed their order. They definitely need more people to keep up. I would definitely go back for their tacos but I won't be able to go during my lunch break which sucks.
