The 14 Best Soul Food Restaurants In Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Don’t let the name fool you—Peach Cobbler Cafe shouldn’t be dismissed as another dessert shop. Does your average bakery serve ribs, fried chicken, collards, and cobbler? Nope, didn’t think so. When hunger comes on hard and fast and a basic sandwich won’t cut it, this Buckhead soul food cafe saves the day with super satisfying, stick-to-your-bones homestyle food served quickly. The entrees, like their oxtails with dark brown gravy or tender ribs drenched with barbecue sauce, will run you a pretty penny (around $16 to $28). But you’ll be happy, and you’ll be full." - demarco williams, jacinta howard

"With locations all around the city, Peach Cobbler Cafe saves the day with super satisfying, stick-to-your-bones homestyle food and a really good (you guessed it) peach cobbler." - jacinta howard, juli horsford

The 7 Best Peach Cobblers In Atlanta, Ranked - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"There’s a reason the Peach Cobbler Cafe has multiple locations in Atlanta—because you can pop in and out for a soul food plate filled with delicious homestyle classics. But are you really doing it right if you don’t order the restaurant’s namesake dish? The peaches are juicy and a touch of cinnamon adds some warm spicy flavor without overpowering the dish. The dough is heavy enough to hold the dessert together, but it’s not so dense that you’re chewing for an eternity." - juli horsford, nina reeder, jacinta howard

Peach Cobbler Factory Review - Downtown Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Peach Cobbler Factory is a fast-casual dessert chain that’s only suitable in a pinch, meaning a scenario when your life depends on a bite of dry peach cobbler. The crust is inconsistent—sometimes it's inedible like sand crumbling in your mouth and sometimes decently gooey. There are tons of different fruit offerings, including some rarely seen cobblers like mango and peach, strawberry, and sweet potato and pecan. But the syrupy artificial taste is hard to get past, so we can’t think of any good reasons to go back to this downtown location (or any other of their metro branches) and try them all." - Nina Reeder

Google
A great place with great deserts. Came in shortly before closing on July 17. The guy that was working there was all alone and they were quite busy. His customer service and skill were amazing. He was probably tired at the end of a long day, but was still courteous and quick. All of our desserts were packaged perfectly, tasty, and hot.

Stopped into peach cobbler factory right before closing and didn’t feel rushed in the store or anything. The gentleman working the front desk was nice and courteous and offered suggestions. The peach cobbler one is really good! The red velvet one is good too. Maybe try turning the ice cream into the milk shake consistency, it melted before we could get to the car. Overall great experience will return and try again.

I ordered the dessert flight on Uber Eats. The price is $22. It was on a buy one, get one free special. After the tip I paid a little over $31. Look at the picture of what was advertised. Look at what I got. SMH. The dough in the apple cobbler is not even done.

Google
Was just OK. Had a crazy peach cobbler craving and assumed an OG, normal, standard, no frills peach cobbler would likely be their best dish. But I have to agree with previous reviews. The peach cobbler was not flavorful, the syrup/compote was extremely thick and gelatinous, and there were far too many peaches and far too little crust. I must add that most soul food restaurants, including one in the same shopping center, make peach cobbler better. The customer service was pleasant and the interior space of the restaurant was clean.

Google
I was so happy to finally try this place. Me and my brother read the reviews and thought this place was going to be amazing. I was WRONG!!! The peach cobbler was Nasty and barely had any flavor. The syrup was extremely thick. The crust had no flavor. I was highly disappointed. There were a lot of peaches and barely any crust. Maybe some other dishes are better, but this ain't it. This is a waste of $18. I'd rather go to a soul food restaurant.

We went in to this establishment today for the first time. The stafff was in the back when we arrived. They came out and were friendly! We had the brownie (extremely dry) , sugar cookie ( it tasted like pure baking soda - had to spit it out). , and the apple cobbler ( it was okay). We will not be returning.

Google
I found out about the place via "Kev On Stage." I looked it up to find one near me, and I was surprised that there were about 6 of them. I ordered 5 different ones and They all were great. No, I did not order all of them for myself. I ordered the peach, blueberry, strawberry, blueberry/strawberry, and another one I can't think of right now. I look forward to trying out the banana pudding the next time I'm there. I would recommend people check this place out.

I came to Atlanta on a business trip. I felt like something sweet around 9:00 PM. While looking up spots I found a gem that was 8 minutes away. I looked at the menu and couldn't decide so I picked 4 and was not in anyway disappointed. They were amazing!! The presentation, service and food were all amazing!! I'm headed back home today but will get some to go!!!

Yelp
Bro I wish I never found this place, it has become a problem, an absolute nightmare. I can't stop ordering this god forsaken apple pie with ice crème. Someone help me, I'm starting to think I have a problem.

Yelp
Yuck! Peach cobbler tastes nothing like peach cobbler. It tastes like burnt syrup. Pure sugary sweet no taste slime. If you want sugary diabetes in a bowl go here. It's not really cooking if you're just serving up sugary unflavored goop. It literally tastes like whoever made it just poured a bag of sugar in and called it a day. Desserts don't have to be over the top sweet to be good. The crust was flavorless as well. I tried to call the store to let them know and they rudely hung up. I tried them originally at Dessert Wars and it was good. Now not at all!!! I would not recommend or ever go back.

Yelp
Nice staff and clean location. Ice cream option is vanilla only. A variety of flavors with the peach cobbler and banana puddings. Also offers big size cookies and cinnamon rolls.

Yelp
One word-Delicious!! I found this spot when I was trying to get back to my hotel. I had to stop. There were so may tempting items on the menu from cobbler to banana pudding to shakes. Ultimately I decided on the cinnamon peach praline cobbler. It was fantastic. Perfect ratio of peaches, crust and praline pecans. It also came with a scoop of ice cream on the side. It was a perfect dessert. If I'm in the area again I will definitely return to try the banana pudding.

Yelp
Taurus the person, taking my order, was very courteous ! I did enjoy my peach, mango cobbler. It was great and delicious! I do wish the preparation of my order was a little bit faster Did not know this place right around the corner for where I usually dine! Glad I found it! Well, it's usually great that there was more fruit than cobbler, I do wish there was more cobbler

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for so long! Well, it was underwhelming to say the least. The inside of the store was nice and clean which was a plus. The lady in the front didn't appear to be happy to be at work. Which I mean who really likes working anyway, but atleast smile girl! Anywho, I got the simple ole peach cobbler and ice cream. The peaches were pretty good but the cobbler aspect was bland to me. It's definitely not your grandmas cobbler. On the other hand their peach tea was refreshing and tasted somewhat on the healthier side. All to say I don't have to try this place again necessarily but glad to have checked it off my list!

Yelp
I really had high hopes for this place but if you're up for a good dessert and REALLY like peach cobbler, try another spot. It was OK, but they had plenty of options of different flavor cobbler and banana pudding that you can't get anywhere else. So I'm giving them a 3 for effort!

Yelp
Had to try it! We chose the flight and chose peach, mango, banana pudding, and strawberry. We each (4 of us) got to sample each other's flavors. Each tasted amazing. We live in Sacramento, Ca and never seen anything like this in our area. As you enter, the place is very lit. There's a camera and backdrop on wall for photo shots and you're able to text the photos to your phone. The service was wonderful. He was helpful and polite. It got busy while waiting for our order so that tells me the place is good.

Yelp
I read the reviews before I ordered online, and I'm glad I didn't listen lol. I will say the cobblers are very very sweet. Idk why, but adding ice cream lessened it. I got the cobbler flight. I ordered a peach, blackberry, caramel apple, and cinnamon peach praline. I'd say the one I liked the LEAST, was the blackberry, it was kinda tart. The other ones all tasted the exact same lol, but could be because I ordered similar ones. Someone's sis they the ratio to fruit to crust was too much fruit, but mine has an even balance for both. I would order again forsure.

Yelp
Service was good but Long wait times. The reviews must be fake because this was trash. Nothing about it tastes home made. It taste like they went to the grocery store and got generic pies. The banana pudding taste like they dumped Kroger brand pudding packs in a container and stuck the cheapest vanilla wafers in it. This is not the move. I don't know how these places are popping up everywhere. They did give me 2 free scoops of ice cream so thanks for that!

Yelp
Expensive and nothing special. We got the dessert flight to try two different cobblers and two puddings. Peaches tasted like they came out of a can. Banana pudding was basic with just different topping thrown on top. Despite the basic desserts, it's still took 16 min to get our order and no one else was there. Not a comfortable place to stay and eat either. Staff was very unfriendly.

Yelp
An amazing environment and fun place to bring the kids and enjoy sweets. I really like this place !

Yelp
I am a huge cobbler fan and this place never misses. The portions are generous. The leftovers go great with coffee in the morning!

Yelp
Stopped by this 'desert jewel' when we were leaving Rock N Jump with the kids and they did not disappoint! I am a HUGE sweet's person so when I seen the restaurant, we had to stop. Hubby had banana pudding and I had the famous peach cobbler. The cobblers come with vanilla ice cream. My cobbler was delicious! It was enough for me to eat some on the way home and then I had the leftovers later that night. They have a few other desserts as well such as banana pudding but they specialize in all kinds of cobblers. If you're a cobbler person and you're ever near a location, I recommend trying them out! We will definitely return!

Yelp
Had to come back and try more things and add some pictures wow 100 percent satisfaction again

Yelp
The parking is atrocious, after you do park, walking up to the location smells like old urine, the neighborhood isn't anywhere I'd want to be after dark. The woman who took my order was courteous, but it took over 20min for peach cobbler + ice cream which is wild because it's their staple dish. Nor the wait or drive were worth it-the cobbler was extremely average & the ice cream looked as if it were freezer burnt. I suspect the positive reviews are fake because there's absolutely no way. Hard pass!

Yelp
Idk what these other reviews are talkin bout... we tried both the banana pudding and the peach cobbler... both were amazing and service was fast and kind! Yumyum yum!! Stop here before a braves game!

Yelp
Hard ahh old brownies... three strikes and you're out. Customer service was nothing to write home about either. Won't be seeing me again.
google avatar

Karissa R.

Yelp
I wrote home to all my family in California and told them that if they have any reason to visit Georgia it will be to have some of this peach cobbler! My friend brought me a whole sheet of it for my birthday, and we tore the whole thing up One piece at a time overtime it is perfection

Yelp
Must try! Cobblers and Puddings were fabulous. The cookies were a let down. They were the same cookie with just different icings, but that may have been a mistake on the staffs part.

Jasenya B.

Yelp
The service was very good and the food was bussin (really good). The ambiance was great.

Shuntol H.

Yelp
Best peach and apple cobbler I've ever had. The crust is amazing and it's been consistent tasting every visit.

Corina M.

Yelp
super yummy, hit the spot. the banana pudding is super fluffy, which made it so much better for texture people like me. rip my hot girl summer now that i know this place is right up the street
