Peach State Pizza and Belgian Liege Waffle Restaurant Press Waffle Co. Are Opening at Avenue East Cobb | Eater Atlanta

"Combines Atlanta sports and wood-fired pizza under one roof, serving traditional toppings like pepperoni and sausage alongside pies topped with house-smoked meats and other Southern and local ingredients. The menu also includes salads and sandwiches, plus cocktails and a mostly local beer list. Televisions throughout the dining room and bar will be tuned to baseball, football, soccer, and basketball—especially when Atlanta teams are playing. Design plans call for two patios and Southern farmhouse–style decor featuring vintage photos, signs, and artwork depicting local and Georgia landmarks. The location is scheduled to open this summer in the Avenue East Cobb complex." - Beth McKibben

Google
My family and I love Peach State Pizza! Great, fresh food and the menu is updated regularly to keep things interesting! The servers and bartenders are always friendly, happy to help, and fun! Oh and the cocktails are some of the best in East Cobb!!! (Pro tip - don’t sleep on the chocolate cookie a la mode!!)

I celebrated my birthday here with my family, and it was absolutely wonderful! We made a 5 PM Saturday reservation—super quick and easy—and the staff went above and beyond by letting us bring in my birthday cake and store it in their refrigerator at no extra charge. This was my third time dining here, and I can’t say enough about how much I love the food and the incredible team that works here. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and served with such friendly service. Can’t wait to come back!

Google
I have honestly never heard of this place until today. And it was amazing. Very original pizza choices. The Brisket pie… It was really good. I mean, REALLY good. And don’t skip over the hummus…got a snap to it. Service: on point! I’ll be back.

Google
Stumbled across PSP while visiting the avenues. Greeted and taken care of with great humor and flare by Isaiah. He helped us understand a couple questions about the menu. The food came inside timely manner and was delicious. Also tried samplings from a friends order and we will definitely be back for more.

Google
Holy cow. So good. I have celiac disease and must eat gluten free. The server and the chef were kind, knowledgeable and attentive. I haven’t had pizza crust so fluffy in years. I shared the wings (bbq sauce is gf) and Pigs and Peaches pizza with my gluten-eating husband and we both enjoyed everything. Looking forward to bringing friends.

Google
Great pizza and salad! Service was amazing. Isiah was our server and he was very personable and attentive. The pizza is delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Location is perfect. I would highly recommend Peach State Pizza. Not just pizza, the burgers are phenomenal. Lots of options for children

Google
Peach State Pizza was such a great experience from start to finish! The atmosphere had the perfect vibe warm, fun, and welcoming and the service was genuinely outstanding. Everyone was friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed. The food was even better. The Brussels sprouts were an absolute standout; crispy, flavorful, and easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. We also tried the Big Chicken Pizza and the Pep & Pineapple Pizza, and both were incredible. The Big Chicken was hearty and perfectly seasoned, and the Pep & pineapple was perfect! Who doesn't love pineapple on their pizza! This one is a must try! Highly recommend Peach State Pizza for anyone who wants great food, great people, and a great time. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
The team is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels warm every time we visit. We tried the BBQ chicken pizza with no cheese and it was great! The kids loved their chicken tenders with orange slices and fries, which made dinner easy for everyone. Perfect place to stop while enjoying the lights at the Avenue!

Yelp
Peach State Pizza offers a truly delicious dining experience that combines great food with a lively, inviting atmosphere. Located on East Cobb Avenue, the restaurant provides a convenient and charming setting. We chose to eat outside, where the seating faces a lovely courtyard and a small amphitheater. During our visit, they had the Braves game playing, which added to the fun ambiance as kids ran around and families enjoyed the space. It was the perfect spot for my friend and me to catch up over so wine and some fantastic pizza. We ordered the BBQ bacon pizza, which was on the menu at the time of our visit but doesn't appear to be listed currently on their website. It did not disappoint--full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We also shared the Athens salad, which was thoughtfully served on two separate plates, making it easy to share. Peach State Pizza is a great place to visit whether you're with family or friends. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated, creating a cozy and appealing environment. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying the indoor seating next time. Overall, it's a wonderful spot for delicious food, great service and a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.

Yelp
Great service for dinner. Was able to be seated immediately. I got the burger and Fries with a salad . Parking is abundant as this is located in the avenues at east Cobb. Great for a date or family dinner Burger tasted great!!

Yelp
The end product is so weird. The pizza sauce and subsequent pizza makes no sense. It's trying to be neapolitan but ends up being like a cracker flatbread. The cheese is of poor quality and the pizza wasn't cooked correctly. The mushrooms were nasty. Salad was actually pretty good. Sigh.....E Cobb continues to offer a mediocre food experience.

Yelp
Fabulous service, atmosphere, and food! Went for a small birthday dinner and were grateful to be treated like family! Highly recommend their Pigs 'n Peaches pizza.

Yelp
We only tried the pineapple pepperoni pizza, it was okay. We might give this place another try. Located in the Avunue east cobb next to the outdoor patio. Great location for Saturday night college football. Service was good.

Yelp
The food is amazing, I got a kids meal because I wasn't too hungry, came with 10 inch pizza, cottage chips, and a cookie. Also got tap water served in a glass. The service is Amazing, young adults working and they check on you every few minutes, they are efficient with their food warmers. They are also really fast. The restaurant itself is modern and looks fancy. Ton of tv's and many logos showing peach state pizza. The outdoor area connected has green space and sitting areas. You can also do take out of the bar from the green space. I highly recommend Peach State Pizza. Go there for the best pizza!

Yelp
(3.5 stars) Pretty average experience at this pizza spot! Nothing memorable here to be honest, it's located inside the avenue so please keep in mind since this is an "up scale" shopping plaza, the prices will be up there as well. Our total for one large pizza & a buffalo dip for appetizers came to around $40. The food wasn't bad, pizza was good but I'd probably pass on the buffalo chicken dip. Service was excellent and food came out fresh and ready at a reasonable time. Also, to all the Hawaiian pizza lovers, no ham here *insert cry face emoji here*

Yelp
Hey Hey! This year, I've definitely added new places to my list to try. This time, I headed over to Peach State Pizza because I was in the mood for some pizza. Peach State Pizza is located at The Avenue in East Cobb. I'd seen it a number of times but decided to finally check the menu and stop in to try the food. When I arrived, I was greeted by the host, who was very friendly. I always appreciate having a positive experience when I visit a place for the first time. She told me where I needed to go to place a to-go order, which was the bar. As I walked into the actual restaurant, I was very pleased with the open concept. The restaurant is surrounded by natural light from the outside, and the bar is decently sized, nicely stocked, and has several TVs you can enjoy. Since this was my first time, and if you've been reading my reviews you know I like to keep it simple, I originally wanted to order slices of pizza. To my disappointment, I found out slices are only available on Mondays. Instead, the bartender provided the options I could select from. Since I originally wanted a slice of pepperoni pizza and a slice of cheese pizza, he recommended ordering a small half-and-half pizza, which was $18.00. So that's what I did. The Pizza was good. It satisfied my taste for pizza, however it was a tad bit salty for me, so I couldn't eat a lot. The crust is thin which I like and the izza was well done but not burnt. My overall experience was cool. The people were nice, and the aesthetics of the location are great as well.

Yelp
We popped in to give it a try - the service was pretty good and our waiter was friendly - hence the two stars, but the food was just very average and Very expensive. Our bill for two pizzas, two salads, two beers and the buffalo dip came to $108 before tip. The pizzas were way too salty - I think they must put a lot of salt in the dough because we tasted salt in every single bite. For thin crust the toppings were pretty good but we just couldn't get over the saltiness of the crust. We ordered salads and they were very overdressed. I would ask for dressing on the side. It was super busy and crawling with kids - which isn't totally surprising given it is in the Avenue and it was a Friday night lol. The inside is a decent size and it backs up onto a huge shared outdoor patio area. There was live music the Friday night we were there but the band wasn't all that great so we opted to sit inside. I wish East Cobb could just get a good sit down Pizza place - for us this is not it.....

Danny T.

Yelp
We had dinner here last night. This place is in a mall area. The location is awesome. From the back entrance, there is a live concert with plenty of sitting. There plenty of sitting inside, but not enough on a busy Friday night crowd. There is not question about the service. Our server is awesome! He is always quick to respond to our needs. He is a good listener, able to explain items in the menu and friendly and very professional. The restrooms are well maintained; clean with plenty of soap, working faucets and towels. I highly recommend their Caesar salad. It's different than most places. This salad comes with roast Brussels sprouts which is awesome! The pizzas are thin crust and slightly different than most places. Which is why if you're close to East Cobb and in the mood for Pizza, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Bummed about this place. Went Monday 4/29 evening What they have going for them: the interior, the location. The inside is cool, lots of TVs and seemingly clean. It's located adjacent to the green space where kids can play. The future brewery will be right across the green. Other than this, it's really lacking and expensive for what you get. For starters, every worker I interacted with was slow, cold, and simply not helpful or engaging. I had to sit at the bar for a long time for someone to finally pay attention to me to order, and I was the only patron inside the place. It just seemed like no one working wanted to be there. It was $50 for a 14" pizza, 1 kids meal, and 1 beer.... honestly absurd. The 14" pizza had meatballs as the topping but it was probably one small golf ball sized meatball sliced into individual pieces. Not enough for two people to be satisfied. Flavor was alright. Seemed undercooked. Re: kids meal- The bartender (or server working the bar?) told me there was no printed kids menu and verbally stated what I could choose from. Come to find out, the sides and drink (unless you get a soda or tea) are extra for the kids meal but she asked the questions like it was a part of it. I attached a photo of this small kids meal with my adult female hand for size reference. $15 for this! No protein! We sat on the patio area and had to go back and ask for all necessities like napkins, plates, salt, ect. Half the time there wasn't an employee around so we had to stand and wait for someone to help. Again, empty place. Just bad service. Save yourself and just get pizza from Pizzeria Luca in Roswell if you want good pizza around here. Or if you're wanting to use the green space, maybe wait for the brewery to open. It's unfortunate because it really could be a gem. Maybe management will ultimately implement changes.

William G.

Yelp
Nice facility, prompt service, beer fresh, but food terrible. Wings dry with vinegary bbq sauce, Athens salad and House pizza taste like the vinegar bottle was dumped on them. Waiter asked about the meal and paid no attention to my comment. Will not be going back and it's a real shame.

Scott W.

Yelp
Amazing! We didn't even eat Pizza Great Burger Drinks Salad and Dessert! Cool Atmosphere
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
The food is okay, but the service/management is very bad. There are so many other good options in the avenue to try instead.

Ariel K.

Yelp
Amazing food, great service, and super comfy open atmosphere. Maybe my favorite white pizza I have ever had. Highly recommend!!! Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Excellent service (well done Gabriel!). We split the Caesar Salad (outstanding) along with the Greek and Margarita Pizzas. Pizza was classic brick oven with super thin and tasty crust! Ingredients were excellent! This is not a chain. Highly recommend!

Al W.

Yelp
On our last visit, we were entertaining guests (we had told them how wonderful Peach state is prior to that visit...BIG regret!). when we walked in the server, tried to park us next to a large group of kids when they were a many other open tables (after we asked, they moved us to another table). The service was almost nonexistent (had to get up and go flag down a server multiple times...it almost seemed like we were troubling them). Food was not up to par, for sure. To make matters worse, I called to speak with the manager the next day because we normally hsd enjoyed really good food and service there and I judt wanted to make him aware. He was somewhat apologetic and seemed surprised,He took my number and said that he would look into it. Never heard a word...

Yelp
New to the area and stopped in to have lunch with the family. Pleasantly surprised by the food. The Athens salad was delicious. Perfectly dressed and the red onion in the salad were delicious. I also loved the flavor the chick peas added. We had the PSP pizza that was good and wasn't too greasy. The mushrooms on the psp were different than I've had and added a nice taste. I wish the first was a little more cooked. We also had a pepperoni pizza with red onions. Our daughter's current favorite pizza flavor. She ate the whole personal size so I'm assuming she really liked it! Our server Alec was also friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were clean.

Yelp
First time- great experience! Warm, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Isaiah very welcoming and helpful. Our server Anthony was attentive but not overbearing and made a great spicy cocktail. We enjoyed the simple salad and spicy meatball salad. Both delicious! PSP unique pizza crust is perfect! Looking forward to exploring the menu further. Their lunch special is a great deal. Wonderful new addition to the Cobb Avenue restaurants.

Elizabeth J.

Yelp
Popped in on a Monday. We tried the pimento fritters and the pepperoni pizza. Great service.

Jo H.

Yelp
The one star is for the service. The food is good, but not any better than any other pizzeria, but the service is HORRIBLE. I wish I could say this is a one-off. We've gone there many times and the service is consistently bad. One time, my salad was ready for pick up and after about five minutes of it sitting there, I walked up and got it myself. We went there yesterday and waited... and waited... and waited... no server acknowledged us. The hostess finally came by to give us water, but we said we already made up our minds to go elsewhere (we went to Lucca's in Roswell). We'd tried and tried to give this place a fair chance, but they've forever lost our patronage. This is probably a management issue.
google avatar

Elisa M.

Yelp
Great food, great service and great ambiance. My husband and I split the buffalo chicken dip and the fungi pizza. The dip was delicious and we loved the homemade pita chips - so yum! We also liked the pizza but the arugula topping seemed excessive. Another shoutout for the ranch - it was so good. We went on a Wednesday and it was 50% off wine. We didn't order but would consider returning for that special. It would be nice to have their weekday special posted on their instagram so we know what they are. Love the addition the neighborhood!
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
The pizza dough and crust were so raw that it was gooey. There was hardly any cheese on my pizza slice (I got a slice, salad and drink combo). I was expecting a side salad with the combo, but instead it was one small scoop of salad next to my pizza slice. 4 bites and I had finished it. My friend ordered the combo also, but she ordered an unsweet tea (I got a Diet Coke). She was charged an additional $4 for her unsweet tea even though the combo includes a drink. Our server's explanation for this was that there is labor involved in making the tea so there is a $4 upcharge for the tea and also lemonade if that's what you choose. The server should have explained this to us when we ordered as opposed to finding out when we asked for our checks. Overall, our server was exceptionally nice but the food was poor quality and the prices were ridiculous. We left and went to Dunkin down the street and purchased better food.

Carly B.

Yelp
Love PSP! The pizza and hummus is really good. They have great craft drinks as well. Love the atmosphere. The manager is great and makes sure you're taken care of!
google avatar

Josh K.

Yelp
Peach State Pizza is a great addition to The Avenue. It's a family friendly atmosphere and the pizzas were great. Everything from the sauce, cheese and toppings were fundamentally solid. There were great sauce to cheese to toppings ratios on the pizzas. My only knock was the I would have liked the bottom crust to be crisper rather than extra floppy. There was a great beer selection (I loved seeing Dogfish Head beer on tap), nice big screen TVs, and my kids loved the pizza.

John V.

Yelp
$16 for 6 greasy tasteless wings! 1/3 of the USA is diabetic or pre-diabetic and wings are the only option besides salad. I want to go there Thursday for trivia but can't stand the food.

Ernesto C.

Yelp
Samantha the waitress is amazing!!!! She's so sweet and made the experience great and therefore the food tasted better too! Fungi Pizza and Brisket Pizza are a must!
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
We had a lovely time our first visit to Peach State Pizza! We came the first night of their trivia (every Thursday at 7pm) to meet some friends and had a great time. The food was tasty and our waitress was very attentive. The buffalo chicken dip and the blondie are a MUST order... We can't wait to come back again soon!!
google avatar

Karen G.

Yelp
We visited Peach State Pizza, new restaurant in East Cobb. Delish!! I love pizza and their Heirloom Tomato Pie was very tasty! My husband loved the wings. We each had to try their desserts. The walnut blondie was chewy, yummy and paired well with the vanilla ice cream. Unfortunately the Blueberry Pound Cake lacked blueberries and was little dry. We will be back for sure!

Jackson L.

Yelp
Had never eaten or ordered here, and wanted a local pizza one evening, so I gave them a try. Ordered their PSP Pizza PEPPERONI, MUSHROOMS, & CALABRIAN PEPPERS online on a pickup basis, and in the notes put "Crispy Please". Picked it up at the committed time, and the manager said "got ya ready and it's crispy"! Pie was a bit pricey at $25 for a regular large size, but flavorful and crispy as ordered. The Calabrian peppers had a good bit of heat so beware when you order their version of a Pepperoni & Mushroom pizza (PSP). Friendly staff and nice seating area with decent amount of bar space. In and out quickly which was convenient, and is in a good location. Not going to be buying $25 dollar pizzas twice a week, but overall another decent option for East Cobb pizza choices.

Melody S.

Yelp
The brisket pizza is out of this world! The staff is very nice. Haven't had a bad meal here. Music bingo on Tuesday is so fun!

Gladys E.

Yelp
Wow great pizza and great flavors the customer service was outstanding I will definitely be back
google avatar

Ken M.

Yelp
Quick to be seated, friendly staff, nice variety of options on the menu. The food is designed to have a southern twist. In some cases this works, wings, tater tots, honey and cheese pizza, delicious. For me personally, the sauce on the pizza and meatball sub tastes too much like bbq, so if that's not your thing, you should avoid and tomato based dishes. There is also seating outside in the new common area of the avenue, which is located directly next to the restaurant. Overall this is a great addition to the area.

Ja W.

Yelp
No handicap parking. Skip this place. Isn't there a law? Could not tell you about the food, could not get in.

Brian G.

Yelp
$17 for 6 wings?!?! That is absurd. Mediocre wings should never come close to that.

William N.

Yelp
Good service. Pizza was generally good. My reason for 2 / 5 stars is that they charged us $7 for bacon on our pizza. Before you say "why did you order bacon" - the pricing is not on the menu. $7 for barely a single slice of bacon chopped up on the pizza. That's dumb. Not planning to go back because of the $7 bacon.

Jeff C.

Yelp
So happy that Peach State is around the corner from us. The pizzas we've tried have all been great. And the pear salad is really good as well. We've also enjoyed sitting at the walk-up bar outside. Even with screaming kids running around. It is East Cobb, after all!

Steve G.

Yelp
This is Gas Station pizza at its worst. Spent 70 bucks for a large pepperoni pizza and a large cheese pizza plus two mediocre salads. Barstool would not give this place a two.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
This place is so good!!! My new favorite pizza place and the atmosphere is just an added bonus. We were able to sit outside while our 3 kids played on the turf. We got the PSP and it was amazing from the crust all the way to all the yummy toppings and perfect amount of spice for us. I only ordered 2 kids pizzas thinking my kids would split them and had to order another because they loved it so much too.

Marika M.

Yelp
I called in an order for two pizzas and two appetizers. When I reached the restaurant there were no customers eating and the workers were nowhere to be found. I walked up to the oven and all the workers were just standing around. Someone turned around asked me for my name and handed me my order. Immediately after handing me the order the worker stated that she forgot to key in the second pizza and asked me if I would be willing to wait another 20 minutes. I told her no as I had already waited 20 minutes and was not going to wait another 20 for her mistake. All the food was barely warm when I picked it up to the point where I had to reheat all of it. The containers holding the appetizers were barely full for the price that we paid and I found a piece of metal on the pizza when I went to place it back in the oven. I also had asked them to place the hot honey on the pizza and bake it that way and when opening the pizza box it was in a separate container. I will never be ordering from here again nor ever dining in. The food is extremely overpriced for the size and the workers are obviously not attentive.

Maison R.

Yelp
Peach State Pizza is a great place to grab a bite. The servers are attentive. The ambiance is really nice. And the pizza is delicious. Try the PSP for an especially yummy meal! I've never had any other pizza like it.

Brett L.

Yelp
Great pizza and service! Michael and David know their stuff. Hope everyone in the area supports these guys as they are atl locals.

Sandro M.

Yelp
The service is mediocre at best and the pizza is about the same as supermarket frozen pizza. Ambiance is really great if you can get over the quality of food. I would say if you enjoy fast food regularly then this may be your venue.

CJ A.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and the pizza was really good. Great crust. Would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a good pizza night out

Caitlin W.

Yelp
Service was incredible! Everything was quick and they were very accommodating to our large group. Jared was so nice, personable, and attentive. He engaged with us to make us feel welcome and pleased and had a great vibe. Also, food was amazing. This is the best cheese pizza I've ever had, and theMargherita pizza was phenomenal and so tasty. Finally, the restaurant is clean and pristine. The vibe is cool and I love the space and decor. It's a little on the pricier side but so worth it.

Jake U.

Yelp
the pizza is bomb and service was on point. the location of business is also in a cool spot. Inside is set up very nice and clean. gluten free crust is some of the best pizza crust out there in my opinion.
