"Pearl & Mary is a Midtown Village oyster bar that joins the fleet of Schulson Collective restaurants in the area (including Double Knot and Sampan). The intimate space feels like it’s straight out of New Orleans–it has the ambiance of a craft cocktail bar, complete with an oyster shucking station and floor to ceiling windows that connect the indoor and outdoor dining areas. The menu has a raw bar selection, small plates–including a tender octopus al pastor and hamachi crudo topped with potato crisps–and larger dishes like a lobster roll and strip steak. "With a sizable raw-bar menu, Pearl and Mary is a place to take the oyster sommelier in your group so they can pretend to know the subtle differences between oysters from Wellfleet and Samish Bay (the jig is up, Samantha). The Midtown Village seafood restaurant has a long bar and several tables throughout. This makes it just as good for a solo meal or group dinner as a fun date night. Because you know—a few drops of bright mignonette here, a mound of spicy horseradish there, a little lemon spritz, and all of a sudden you're getting matching hearts on fire tattoos.
