Please be careful when you go to this store, especially when the girl is at the cash register. I go here every now and then, but today, she overcharged me with almost $89. When I had bought less than what was charged. Please, before you leave, check your receipt and do the math. I have a feeling it's not the first time because I know somebody else that got overcharged there.

This is a great family owned local market that I enjoy shopping at. The meat market features fresh meat which the butchers are more than happy to prepare any way you prefer. The produce is also fresh, and they always have what I'm looking for. The owners are also the operators of the market and are so friendly that my family and myself consider them as family.

This store is extraordinary! The store has an exceptionally coordinated arrangement and it is not difficult to get what I want. Every one of the contributions are of top notch and sensibly valued. The nutrient and supplement choice is magnificent as well. The staff is agreeable, useful, and clever. I love everything about the store. Enthusiastically suggested!

Google
Amazing customer service, really friendly store owner. Great butcher as well as enough dry goods and produce to make it my first choice for groceries. Peck Market is my recommendation to locals since it has better quality meat and produce than some of the larger supermarkets, and spending money here supports small business.

I love walking in to get my meats from here! The staff is very friendly and always greet you when you walk in, they are quick to get what you need and will help you to the car if needed. The carne asada is delicious tooo!

The BEST butcher shop in the San Gabriel Valley. Have been coming here for over 25 years. It is under new ownership and they sure have made the place alot cleaner and more accomodating. Lots of new product to offer.

Google
Love this market, their options are superb and they literally have THE best meat you’re gonna get anywhere around here. Trust me if you’re having a carne asada or just want something tasty for dinner, stop by and get a nice cut of their meats. You won’t regret it!! :)

It's a quick In & Out the door. Cashiers are polite and respectful. Beats going to the Supermarket and waiting for 10-15 minutes waiting in line to pick for your groceries! Or for one item.

Yelp

Yelp
Bought some meat for asada tacos and there was a dead fly in my meat. It was really gross and I had to through away all the meat plus I got some other meat and cheese too had to toss it out. Also the lottery tickets are all cut already. Service was slow waiting for cashier to come out of restroom.

Yelp
Their carne asada was very overpriced.... But we considered it was because it was a better cut of meat.... The problem was we bought $60 worth of Carne Asada, and since it was our first time going there I'm not sure if it's usually salty like this or someone messed up because it was 'SALTY" AS HECK... To the point of after we cooked it nobody wanted to eat it it was that bad... SORRY BUT I FEEL LIKE I JUST WASTED 60$ ON 6 LB's OF MEAT... IT WAS OUR FIRST, AND LAST TIME EVER GOING THERE. Just telling it like it is ...we were very disappointed, to say the least.

Yelp
It's very hard for me to post a bad review but when I do post it, it is so necessary because I think it's insane what we are being charged for meat and how much the quality has gone down on the costillias de res ( beef flat ribs) i went in today and purchased 3 pound which added up to 30 dollars which I thought well everything is going up and its okay because thier meat is amazing! And this is the second time I go and its horrible .. the meat was semi frozen and it looked weird and super flat when they used to be chunky and good but it was all flat and I thought maybe its just me being very picky but no it was horrible it was so chewy I cooked it all and tried to even over cook it so it could be edible, but it was very chewy all fat and I couldn't even swallow it I had to spit it out ! So disappointed in how badly the quality has gotten i dont mind prices going up i completely understand that but lowering thw quality of the meat seems so bad and this is the second time I go through this! And I feel bad because customer service is amazing I live the men and last that work in the back and the owner is super sweet but the meat needs to go or upgraded

Yelp
Price Gouging at its finest at this place. You can not charge over 10% over cost. Due to the Pandemic they are charging 50 to 60% over cost. This is illegal. Reported to all agencies hope to end this before pandemic gets worse ILLEGAL PRICE GOUGING - Do Not Give them business

Yelp
I love this place! I have been coming here for 40 years. The carne asada is the best, no fat and super soft and delicious. Robert the butcher is super nice and funny. Daniel was also very nice and helpful. Prices are a much better deal than other meat markets. We'll be coming back for the next 40 yrs!!

Yelp
Carne Asada meat was terrible!!! Too salty and tough. I went there because my dad used to buy the best meat there years ago, but those days are gone now. Will not be going back.

Yelp
If your close by this is a good spot for asada or anything you want to bbq, I been going here for about 20 years and still come back when I'm in the area. People are really cool and friendly.

Yelp
When I buy meat I expect to get a quality cut. The diesmillo meat was cut so poorly with all the fat it look disgusting. The old owners did a much better job with the meat cuts . The new owner raise the prices on everything . I will not be going back there again and will tell all the people I know that their meat is not worth it .

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this market and I picked up a few pounds of the marinated carne asada. It was delicious ! Also the homemade guacamole is must. The produce in the back was also good quality and they had a decent variety to choose from. I was missing a few things to make salsa and got the ingredients here.

Yelp
I've gone here for years and this is the best pre marinaded Carne Asada I've ever had by far. I saw the reviews about customer service, I haven't noticed it because I go in, get my number, get my meat pay and leave. I don't hang around to talk to employees and don't expect to make small talk while waiting. Go in there for the great meat not the ambiance and you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
BEST carne asada a a chicken by far ! Whatever they put in the marinade is amazing . Both my husband and my family will only get our meat from here .

Yelp
This hole in the wall by far has the best prepared Carne Asada that your hard earned money can buy. No joke... The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the smell inside of this place is god awful. If you can ignore the smell as you wait to complete your order , you will be in for a treat. The price per pound is about .80 cents more per pound then I would traditionally pay, but the tenderness and the flavor of the meat make it well worth the cost.

Yelp
Definitely my go to store when I'm in a hurry. Has a little bit of everything and has ample parking space. Their meat it's on the expensive side though.

Yelp
I travel 30 miles round trip to buy their marinated beef short ribs. Absolutely delicious! Their Carne Asada is good too, but I like the short ribs!
google avatar

Yelp
Best carne asada in the region. This place has the best seasoned meat I've ever tasted and the cuts are thin. Which my family and I love.
google avatar

Hector M.

Yelp
This place has horrible customer service. I came in today to buy 6lbs of asada priced at 8.75/lb for 4th of July. I'm assuming I would be greeted at the door since the girl at the registered just sat there thinking how she hates her life. No eye contact or a hello. I proceeded to the meat counter and there was a big "gentleman" that worked there just leaning over the counter. I made eye contact , waiting for him to offer me some assistance but just ignored me. I didn't feel welcomed so I walked out and went some where else. I will never visit this place again or recommend it. What's the point of running a store if you don't have any people skills and etiquette. What they missed out on is a guy that would of spent $55.00 at their store if they just would of offer there services and products with a positive welcoming attitude.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years. I can vouch for the carne asada and chicken breast (prepared) are delicious! The place itself is very small along with the parking lot. And is it open on Sundays even though on Yelp it says Mon-Sat.

Yelp
Peck Market in El Monte has the freshest meat I have ever tasted. I prefer going inside the local markets. The have the best marinate for their carne asada and chicken. The cut of the meat is perfect not too thick and not to thin. The people are very friendly. I recommend this place to anyone.

Rodriguez C.

Yelp
The carne asada is amazing forget what the haters have to say I buy only quality and this place sells just that!!!

Norma C.

Yelp
This place has no people skills. I came here yesterday because I heard it's the best meat in town. It is not. The meat is pretty good but what's the point if the carniceros there are rude. It's an old man, a lady, and a big guy. Not helpful and speak to you rudely. No customer service. Felt like I was being yelled at by an old Tio. I didn't go to my usual place because Peck Market was closer but never again. But if you want to try the best meat in town, La Pradera off of Santa Anita by 10 fwy. There Ranchera carne is the best. Notice my review isn't the only one detailing poor service, not worth it!!!!!!!

Robert S.

Yelp
I thought this place was ok. It wasn't worth a 45 min drive for me. The produce department was very small. I wanted avocados, but they were over ripe. The carne asada was very expensive. But again, it was just ok. The cashier was very polite.

Yelp
Good produce, asada is good but not the best in the area. Go in knowing what you need because this place smells like death.

Tika H.

Yelp
New owner same meat! Great tasting meat! Cleaner place market! Parking is a little small but you can park on the street. Friendly staff and friendly owner!
