Peckish - Review - Kirkwood - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Did Atlanta need another brunch restaurant? No. But was it missing aCaribbean,tapas-style brunch? Yes. That's why we're excited for Peckish—the newest restaurant in the carousel of ever-changing food offerings inside Pullman Yard. Open Thursday-Sunday, you can expect dishes like a rasta pasta basket, oxtail empanadas, seafood hush puppies, and shrimp and grits." - Juli Horsford

This place was great. Very awesome vibe and a unique cuisine. Came for the brunch and the menu was full of variety and easy to try out different options with the small-plate style. Not sure about the special sauce, I feel like it could be enhanced a bit. Overall would recommend to anyone and will be back to try out dinner. Parking is comped!

A hidden gem at Pullman Yards. This spot would be perfect for a date, friends gathering, or a family meal. Seating is limited inside but the ambiance gives such a great, intimate feel. The covered patio is spacious and offers a variety of seating. Peckish offers a unique cocktail menu, including some infused specialty cocktails. The food! If you are looking for elevated comfort food with an island twist, you will love it. Every dish tastes as good as it looks. Every dish was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Even picky eaters will enjoy the jerk wings appetizer and the chicken entree. Save room for dessert! Chef Tamara is a pastry genius. The desserts look too good to be edible, but every bite is just as delicious as it is beautiful. You will want to try them all. Try the fruity pebble double doozie and introduce your adult palette to your childhood Saturday morning.

Everything was phenomenal from pulling in and getting greeted by the parking assistant, to the phenomenal food. On top of that, the service was impeccable. The chef herself came to our table to check on everything. The bartender made the most amazing rum punch I ever had. The desserts were so realistic. I thought they were just decorations in the case lol. The vibe was really nice as well, it was giving rooftop without being on a rooftop. The whole aesthetic of Pullman is beautiful and super creative. Peckish fits right in. I was so amazed with everything and I literally have been there since she opened. I Highly recommend it!!

We a had a fun cute time. The experience was perfect for Saturday brunch. It’s a small establishment so getting there at opening gave us more options for seating. My only complaint is parking. You pay for parking and then get a credit back after you eat. A parking ticket was mailed to my house even though I paid to park. The ticket was dismissed after I sent proof of my parking. I’m just happy I didn’t delete the parking text notification. Otherwise I would have had to pay $85 parking violation. You should definitely get the tower. Tasting several things with tea was so fun.

We went to Peckish to try their High Tea service. What we experienced was remarkable! Before we started, the desserts on display were works of arts. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious beyond expectations. We could not pick a favorite. The Potted Plant dessert highlighted in the photos - everything was edible! The combination of flavors - hmmm you have to experience for yourself. Four overly satisfied customers. We will be back. Wish I could find the words to describe it to you!

Such a great and unique spot! Nothing like it in Atlanta. The concept of being a high tea Jamaican brunch is unmatched! The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh! I went on a Sunday around 12noon. I do recommend getting a reservation because it does get very busy. I sat at the bar which was fine for me and my guest. My bartender Sabrina was fantastic and nice, she'll get you right everytime. Food : I ordered the shrimp and grits, the peaches n cream stuffed waffles, the seafood hushpuppies and the lox sandwich. The portion sizes are great because you can taste everything without being super stuffed. I do also recommend getting the high tower , well worth the price and you get multiple options plus dessert ! The desserts are insane! They look to good to eat but trust me they got devoured lol.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. Please be warned that the portion sizes are very small. Almost reminds me of appetizer servings. Nevertheless, the quality of the food was good. The smoked jerk wings tasted good, but I didn’t taste any hints of jerk seasoning on the chicken or in the sauce that was provided for the chicken. Our server wasn’t all that great but she wasn’t bad either. One thing I found strange is that the manager, or who I assumed was the manager, went around to each table to check on the customers, but she bypassed our table. Literally bypassed our table. Lol. I’m not sure what that was about. It would have been nice to be acknowledged just like the other customers in the building. Overall, the food was good, service was decent, but I don’t think I would visit here again.

I’ve been here twice now for brunch, and I love it. It’s tapas style so the proportions are small. Favorites are the hot honey chicken biscuits and empanadas. The sky juice cocktail was a hit also. They have a selection of unique desserts that are amazing as well. Parking is in front of the restaurant, and they validate for up to 2 hours.
