The Best Restaurants, Bars, and Cafes at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) - Eater SF

"The Berkeley-based chain’s airport outpost serves its usual menu of coffee and tea, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and bottled beverages. Expect to pay more than you do at your neighborhood Peet’s, though you can stay as long as you like." - Eater Staff

Bad experience. Yet again a typical example of poor management and customer experience. I asked for for a toasted croissant and they gave me a freezing croissant 😀 When I asked if they can toast it, staff was not even concerned to listen.

I ordered 2 Cappuccinos, one was twice as light as the other and tasted more like a Latte. I don't recommend it to people. It costs 16 dollars and the pleasure is 0.

Terrible service and rude staff. They won’t help elders with the kiosks and they won’t give you a receipt if the machine is out of paper. If you are going to E gates wait because there is a better cafe later on and a bit cheaper. Coffee was ok, the pastry is like chewing a brick.

The line moved quickly, food was out fast, just wish it had been warmed up, maybe there was an option that we missed. But a cold apple fritter is definitely not as good as a warm one. The cappuccino was delicious, highly recommend.

The service here is ridiculously slow. Only one barista was visible working the counter area. The other briefly appeared, then vanished into the back office to do who knows what. In the time I was in line, two potential patrons got out of the line, and went elsewhere. Clearly, a failure of management to properly staff the place. I would get coffee, pastries, etc elsewhere.

Rudest staff of all time. I wanted a hot chocolate and waited in line for 15 mins, not able to find what I want. Raised my hand and got ignored. I gave up and stood on the line for manual order. Then the barista helped another customer and went rolled her eyes coming to help me after another 5 mins of waiting. It took me this long to order and I genuinely was just not able to find an item. Learn your manners or quit service industry

Very interesting experience. Came here on a Monday to catch a early flight. Good thing is they open so early. Trying to order 2 breakfast with coffee. Ordered a medium why mocha and a large Havana cappuccino. Saw the display of the wrap and croissants, looked great and added them on. Then total came out to be $52.... mmm.... the cashier is new so we ask the manager to double check. And the answer she gave me was “ the tax here is 11%.” WELL.... breakfast combo for two ... looks like the tax is more than 11%.... They did the math again the total came out to be $48... then we ask how much is one combo. The manager said $15. And the coffee is $6.1 and $6.2. How can two combos add up to $48. Even though I didn’t finish high school, I still sense something is not right. Eventually, we decided to order them separately. And the total only $37. A round of applause for myself. Saved $15 by attending high school, power of education! The croissant sandwich is actually fantastic, the softness of the croissant 🥐 and the flavorfulness of the bacon 🥓 goes perfectly with each other. It’s like you are sitting in Paris on the left bank, with Seine on your left hand side.... The bacon wrap is just ok. With the hot sauce, it’s like you are in New Mexico, by the side of Guadalupe river, with cowboys on your side. Well, that’s about it. Thanks for listening.

I’ve had drip coffee out of MRE heaters and silver bullets in war zones around the world that tasted better than what I was just served at Peet’s in SFO. The drip was burnt, bitter, and borderline undrinkable. I grabbed a fresh latte hoping for redemption—it was slightly better, but still far from what you'd expect from a brand with Peet’s reputation. And the best part? The bush-league, rude employees who made it clear they’d rather be anywhere else. This isn’t just a one-off. It’s a full-system failure—on quality, service, and pride in your product. If the owners are paying attention: your coffee is an embarrassment to your brand. You should honestly consider changing your name to Sheets, because Peet’s clearly isn’t showing up anymore. Fix it. You’re at one of the busiest airports in the country—right now, you’re just leaving a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
