We have been to Peg & Ter's quite a few times since they opened this lovely gastropub just down the street from our B&B. What a treat! Creative drink options, happy easy going come, beautiful decor. Tina and Johnny are marvellous hosts, and their staff is just delightful. Jessie the Barkeep is knowledgeable, skilled, pleasant, and funny. The most recent New Year's dinner was such a treat. Make it your new fave Shelburne bar (and kitchen)!

Had an absolute knock out of a meal here on NYE. Everything was superb from the drinks and food to the service and timing of our plates. Beautiful space. Go here and leave extremely happy. Excited to go back one day!

The food is so delicious! The whey biscuits, so flaky. The charred mushroom dish was off the charts in flavor, texture and depth. We have never had anything like it before with a variety of wild mushrooms. I so enjoyed the chicken truffle pie and presentation. Another flavorful dish, rich in body and texture. Wonderful staff and service and the chefs presented a fabulous array of dishes. Great experience abd can't wait to go back!

We love Peg & Ter’s. We are never disappointed. Everything is always beautifully made and thoughtfully plated. They do change up their menu and sometimes you will have to say good bye to some amazing dishes. A couple of our favorites have been a beautiful seafood bowl and the bolognese was so good! New favorite the 10 layer lasagna that I barley wanted to share with my husband.

Just had our first visit to Peg and Ter’s and it was fabulous! The atmosphere is both minimalist and warm and loved the view of the Shelburne museum across the street. The food and cocktails were outstanding- we had duck wings, warm goat cheese app, fish tacos , and an amazing burger as well as some bevies! The young man ( well that just gave away our age) who was running the front of the house was one of the best waiter/bartender/host in town! Thank you and we will be back soon. It’s great to try a new place and have it exceed your expectations.

We have always loved the cocktails at P&T's, but now they have DRASTICALLY improved the menu with some DELICIOUS South American flair. Four of us decided to share small plates for our first post-pandemic visit. We had six total winning dishes, plus an awesome cheese plate. There was a mushroom dish to die for, plus an amazing meatball-and-plantain item. Fantastic menu improvements! Loved it!

We had a delicious dinner two nights ago! We enjoyed an appetizer of delicata squash rings followed by a beet salad, squash soup and chicken congee. Each dish was excellent and was creatively prepared and presented! The cocktails were also very well prepared and were delicious! We will be back soon and you should, too!

Tonight was the first time my family and I had dined at Peg & Ter’s and we certainly weren’t disappointed. We’d heard prior to coming that the beverage list - both wine and cocktails - were excellent and this held true. There were a variety of options and the cocktails, like the dishes, all had an element of creativity that managed to make even the simpler recipes stand out. If there was anything I’d recommend above all else, it’d be the mushrooms. They were sizable but delicate and very flavorful. A simple plate of polenta and mushrooms was artfully done and demonstrated the importance of quality, local sourcing. Really every dish exhibited similar qualities, especially the ice cream. It was a chocolate rum ice cream and as Frankie, our waitress, shared - the rum was reduced before it was combined with the ice cream saving you from the usual issues of rum soaked desserts. Instead, what you were left with was a delectable bowl of ice cream that was again, a creative and artful take on a simple dish. It was an exceptional meal and the service was excellent. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to going again soon.

Yelp
I would recommend this place for cocktails, not food, especially not if you're hungry. the cocktails were fantastic. I had the whiskey flip, it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. the food portions however were laughably small. I get it, "small plates." but honestly, the audacity of serving bruschetta that was ONE slice of thin bread, cut in half, with a very sparse layer of toppings. the Harbison cheese was delicious but far overpriced especially given the small amount of bread that came with it.

Yelp
Bartender was extremely unfriendly. The drinks were amazing but the server was rude and made the experience completely unpleasant.
