Unfortunately the food is on a decline. Way too much chewy fat in the chicken. It really is disgusting. This has happened the last few times we have eaten here. In previous years it was never this bad. Now it is every single time. The prices haven't increased as much as other quick service restaurants, so perhaps they decided to go with cheaper meat to make up for it. I would absolutely pay a bit more for quality food. The flavors are still good and their gluten free offerings have increased which is fantastic. Hopefully they will improve food quality.

Google
Pei Wei's is one of my favorite casual dining spots. Quick service and always good food. Salmon Poke Bowl was good.

Google
This is a really good place!!! Price is good for the amount of food you get! Friendly service and fast to order!!!

Google
Customer service at this location is Always very poor. I generally order my food to go because it’s so freaking cold in there… Today When I got home, my lettuce wraps were infested with little green bugs… Seem to me like they didn’t even wash the lettuce when I called and asked to speak to the manager she said well what would you like me to do about it? Considering I paid for the food and couldn’t eat it, I would like my food replaced. She shouldn’t even have to ask that she should’ve just offered. I’ve always put up with their bad service because I like the food but now I can’t even say that.

Google
Beware if you get food from here especially steak. I ordered the firecracker steak for delivery, and my steak was raw. It was completely blue for the level of how cooked it was. This is not acceptable. I hope I don’t get sick from this dish This restaurant needs to make sure they’re following food safety guidelines or I will contact the health department There are other customers complaining in the reviews recently of the same problem. I attached photos below

Google
In the past we loved Peiwei but haven't been there for awhile. We decided to get food to go.We had kungpow chicken. All three of us found it was tough, very poor quality. Unable to eat the chicken at all. Very gross actually !Rice and vegetables were good.very disappointed. We won't be back

Theresa Jordan

Google
The lady at the counter was very nice. This used to be one of our favorite places. But, sorry to say, after today's visit we will probably find somewhere else to go. There was hardly any sauce on the really dry rice. The portions were stingy, the dry rice plentiful. For the price, we didn't feel it was worth the money.

Google
Place wasn’t busy when we walked in. Ordered food and sat and waited maybe 10 mins or so. It was fresh and hot! Tasty. Chicken and steak pad Thai. Also ordered chicken lo mein. The chicken lo mein plate seemed small compared to everyone else’s but all n all it was good! I have been in quite a few times. It’s always freezing in the building so bring a jacket!

Yelp
Great service, kind people, was clean, and good atmosphere, and food tasted good. The only one thing:) A bit pricey for not a whole lot of food. I expected a bit more for what I paid. Otherwise a great place!

Kerry S.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was strangely bland and sweet. Even the spicy dish (General Tso's chicken) was bland and sweet, with some chili heat to elevate another flavor. Nothing wrong with the food itself (veggies a bit undercooked, maybe) -- I think it's literally how it's supposed to be. I expected it to taste like PF Chang's, but it reminded me more of dietetic hospital food. Battered chicken pieces were especially bland. The location itself was nice, friendly staff, quick service, clean, well-stocked. I'd come back, except for the recipes.

Beth S.

Yelp
Dinner at 7:30, they were just phoning it in. Crab wantons were under cooked/doughy on one side and crispy dark brown on the other. Beef and broccoli had most of the meat clumped in tight balls that were uncooked in the center and the Broccoli needed a better cut as the pieces were the size of my fist. Coke was a good mix and the restaurant was clean. We travel frequently and have been to many different Pei Weis, this visit was a disappointment.

Chris J.

Yelp
Good food, huge portions! Chicken fried rice had very generous amounts of chicken & was cooked just right!! Delivery service was quick & efficient.

Brandon D.

Yelp
Great location. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The dining area was clean. Our food was hot and fresh and brought out to our table.

Yelp
0 stars. I ordered through Door Dash last night. $84 with tip plus I gave the driver and extra $12 for arriving within the given 45min window. This review has nothing to do with Door Dash and everything to do with the quality of the food itself. Plus a very unwelcome surprise at the End. We got an order of Spring Rolls, Orange Chicken, and the October Flavor Pack which included the Bourbon chicken, Firecracker Chicken and Mongolian Steak. What a disappointment. The portions were meek. Total overcompensation of dry noodles due to the lack of proteins. I could not differentiate one entrée from the next. The food was dry, salty, and otherwise completely flavorless. No sauce was on any of the dishes which also contributed to the dryness. As I reluctantly went to make a plate of leftovers today, while chopping up some noodles for my 2yr old I found a long sliver of metal shaving in the noodles making the rest inedible. It's to bad because this was one of my favorite Asian restaurants before covid.

Daniel B.

Yelp
Poor service! Received an email stating a special through May 8, 2024. Tried to order - no luck. Called the location and the server said 'sorry - that offer ended yesterday.' What? I read to him the email and he said that was wrong. So? Why not still offer it to us? Would that break their bank. Terrible customer service. Buyer beware!

Grace S.

Yelp
Not impressed. Chicken was small and tasteless. Crab Rangoon was burnt Will not go back

Kelly W.

Yelp
Loved every single bite of our 2 entrees: cashew chicken and kung pao chicken. The cashew chicken was surprisingly spicy with a tangy sauce coating the long strips of chicken. The kung pao chicken claimed a sweet, savory gravy covering crispy chicken bites, which my hubby loved. We've had really bad Pei Wei before, but I've always been impressed with This location...gobs of food and tons of flavor!! Plus the service was phenomenal! You've gotta try it Colorado Springs !!

Greg H.

Yelp
Went with the Mongolian beef as it is always a great meal. The steak is cooked perfectly. This chain is a place I love stopping in when traveling for consistency and the loyalty/rewards program they have. My only feedback for this one is they could use a 2nd coke freestyle machine at lunch. It took me about 7-8 minutes just to get my beverage.

Steve S.

Yelp
My friend placed an order for two entrees on the app for lunch.  When the status on the app indicated it was complete, she went inside to pick it up.  They told her it would take 50 more minutes...seriously?!? She waited inside that whole time as I waited in the car.  She said the restaurant was empty as everyone that entered was told they were running behind, so nobody who planned to order at the restaurant stayed.  She finally got the order:  cold rice, uncooked vegetables, reheated meat, and barely enough sauce to coat half the ingredients.  She ate hers, I had a few bites and tossed it.  Based on the ill effects she had that night, she and I vowed to never go to Pei Wei ever again.

Calli M.

Yelp
I went there like 5 years ago and really liked the lo mein. I went back with a friend tonight and was very disappointed. We also ordered the lettuce wraps and my friend said they weren't nearly as good as when she was there years ago. It was all capped off when I found a hair in my food. I didn't speak to a manager because I didn't want to be offered a coupon since I won't be going back. They also started putting chairs up on the tables at 730. I thought they were about to close, but they're open until 9. They left like 4 tables open for people to sit. Overall just really disappointed and won't be back.

Dawn A.

Yelp
Wasn't too busy this time of day so luckily food came out quickly. I ordered lettuce wraps and they were fine but tasted different- not sure I'd order again

Grace W.

Yelp
We have enjoyed this restaurant for a long while, however, it is seriously going downhill. For one, the cleanliness of the store: thick dust lining many surfaces, sticky dirty floor, baby high chairs had so much dried food and gunk on them it was disgusting, the main counter for plating food had old dried food all over it (and we were the first customers in the restaurant that day). Speaking of which, the employee opened the doors 10 minutes after advertised opening time, even though she saw 3 parties waiting outside. Holes in the wall where decor had fallen off the wall, the napkins have been replaced with napkins so thin you have to use 5 at a time. I could go on and on... this restaurant has definitely gone downhill in the last couple years.

Sydney B.

Yelp
Don't order curbside pickup, because instead of actually bringing it out to you they'll just let it sit there and get cold until you come in to get it. & then they'll give you attitude for being mad about it, I ordered curbside for a reason (a sleeping baby in my car). Got home and my food was ice cold and soggy

Rachel F.

Yelp
Love this Place! Every time I'm in town I love coming here! The staff is always so kind and friendly, the food comes out quick and delicious, and the place is always so nice and clean! Looking forward to coming back here again!

Harold S.

Yelp
Dan Dan noodles were really good. Firecracker chicken was good too. Staff was friendly and food came out fast .

Lisa R.

Yelp
I'm at Pei Wei on North Academy. It appears to have just one person to run the register, deliver food and bus tables. Napkins and crumbs litter the floor of the entire restaurant. I see 9 tables with crumbs and trash. It is not in good shape.

Jeff W.

Yelp
Ordered takeout this past week. Thai basil cashew chicken and thai curry chicken. Food tastes good....until...we found a twist tie wire in the curry. Tried calling the restaurant option 4, others, waited ten minutes on hold. Hung up. Called back on option 2, ordering, waited 10 minutes on hold, hung up. Sent a text to the takeout number asking for the manager to call me on a safety issue, no response. Sent an email to corporate, no answer after four days. Won't be back.

Jordyn J.

Yelp
The food is really delicious but I did find dead flies in my to go order. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with white rice and broccoli and after I started eating the dish I noticed dead flies stuck to the chicken /:

Yelp
We split an entre, which was good, but lacked the flavor we were looking for. We ordered the 'bowl' of Wonton Soup for the 2 of us & it came with 3 wontons - just 3? I think they need to step up their game as they were always on par with P.F. Chang's

Jim B.

Yelp
We like it! We've been to this location a number of times in the past 2 years. Today I ordered: - SIGNATURE CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS - THAI WONTON SOUP They changed up the Lettuce Wraps, eliminating the choice of 2 sizes, now just a single size. I found it to be adequate in size and the freshness and taste was fabulous as always. This is the first time I had the Thai WonTon Soup. I liked it too. We enjoy coming here for something different when we're in the area. Keep it real, keep it fresh and keep it flavorful Pei Wei!

Jordan W.

Yelp
Best gluten free dairy free Asian food. Gluten free Kung pao chicken is the best one, the other options aren't amazing from what I've tried.

Roger G.

Yelp
I believe that the sauce for Pei Wei is outstanding!! The problem I have with the service and food is the lack of vegetables and overuse of sauce. For the money.... You are getting scant servings and soggy rice!! Additionally... Skip getting extra vegetables.... You'll never see them! I like Pei Wei but don't like the direction that they're going... definitely over priced for the value...

Pamela F.

Yelp
This was a pleasant place to have Chinese food the black and white photography on the walls gave the space ambiance of a modern bistro. The staff, possibly the manager, was great while helping me choose my special diet of no garlic or onion in my food. Substitues were made or eliminated graciously. Thank you. The Sesame Chicken was delish and the crab wonton are some of the best I have eaten in COS. A Gift of GF Edamame was sent to the table along with our food. About Covid. Mask were worn by all that came in as well as the staff. Table spacing met my husbands expectations. Wish there was a location coming to the new South Nevada shopping center. Although, timing is not great for more growth in the COS area.

Jeff R.

Yelp
This place has the best Dan Dan noodles add extra vegetables it's so delicious. They won't allow a tip but I hope a great review is good too.

Mary S.

Yelp
I'm not sure how they claim family bundle would feed 3-4 people like advertised. Sure there's a lot of noodles, but that's it for portion generosity. There's less chicken than a individual entire. I should have just got two separate entries and some rangoons and I would have saved money at the same time.

Bertrand L.

Yelp
Always like the fresh tastes which aren't greasy spoon ish which can be all so prevalent in these types of places. The ingredients are good and the variations on Asian cuisine are very reasonable for a western palate and even for those of us with true eastern heritage. The orange chicken is standard but the Kung Pao is reasonably spicy. The lettuce wraps are fun and good and add a nice complement to some of the heavier dishes. And the salads are definitely a go to item.

Reyna S.

Yelp
It tasted different from other Asian restaurants. my friend & I had to shit our pants after will not be going back & would not recommend.

Jodi W.

Yelp
Curbside pick up had very quick and efficient service. Our orders were correct. The serving sizes were correct and the entree's meals of Mongolian Chicken and Mongolian Steak were good. Their crab wontons were absolutely horrible. They were over cooked and the insides were dry and tasteless and left an awful aftertaste in our mouth. We were very disappointed and will never order their wontons again.

Kathryn E.

Yelp
My favorite item from this place is the Lettuce wraps. I love that they taste exactly like the ones from PF Changs, but are less money! I've tried two salads, and they are okay, but not my favorite place to order salad. The noodles are okay, the mongolian beef is good! I still prefer PF Changs, but the prices at Pei Wei are better!

Cheryl T.

Yelp
This was not good. I'm only giving two stars for their effort. I placed the order online. It was due to be ready in 15 minutes. It took 45 minutes. The order was incorrect - twice. The food was subpar. My son will eat practically anything...he left most of his food on the plate. The cauliflower rice was not good and not worth the extra money that I paid. Even the egg rolls were not good enough to finish eating. You can't really go wrong with egg rolls, but these were not cooked all the way through. The entrees ... were edible because we were very hungry by that point, but they did not taste very good. The chicken and ingredients in general just had a cheap taste to them. I'll be supporting our local family owned Asian restaurant from now on. Don't waste your money here. Avoid this Pei Wei.

Rome T.

Yelp
Friendly and fast service. You walk up to order your food and they give you a number and bring your food to your table. There is also To Go options. The person that took our menu was very helpful with our menu questions. We ordered the Japanese Steak & Shrimp Chile Ramen and the Honey Seared Shrimp. The Japanese Steak and Shrimp was flavorful and spicy but had too much sauce, it drowned out everything else. Tasted like I was eating just sauce. Maybe ask to go light on the sauce. Nice good portion though. The Honey Seared Shrimp. Good entree though very small portion for the price. Overall good, friendly and fast service ,but the food is just average.

Patrick E.

Yelp
Excellent all the way. Loved ordering online. Drove over, texted and within 10 minutes, they brought my order and placed it in my trunk. Easy!! And the food is really good.

Whitney F.

Yelp
One word: gross . First time at Pei Wei tonight. The appetizers were good we had pork egg rolls, and edamame then it went downhill with the rest of the food. I ordered chicken teriyaki with noodles. I didn't see on the menu that the veggies they top it off with are carrots, grilled slimey onions and bell peppers. The 3 veggies I hate more than anything . I spent the first 10 minutes picking out the veggies that I didn't see listed on the menu. Then I dig in and my noodles are dry and the chicken is over cooked and bland. I expected chicken teriyaki to be grilled and the chicken pieces were fried, instead. It was completely over cooked and the chicken tasted like cardboard. We won't be back , and sad we wasted $30 on this meal. Save yourself some trouble and go to Panda Express

Meredith P.

Yelp
Definitely a busy spot on a Friday night. Expected to wait for food but after 30 minutes waiting on order and the restaurant was basically empty, what could have been the issue except they forgot to cook something? Then didn't put silverware in the bag to go and asked if we wanted fortune cookies?? I mean it's to go and why wouldn't you put the cookies in the bag, aren't they included? Sorry but not a good experience.

Jerry K B.

Yelp
Good food. Fast service. New items recently added. Family meal works for 4 of us at times.

Michal P.

Yelp
We loved Pew Wei until covid happened. Now we went back and the prices are up high, wait time is horribly long since you can tell they are understaffed. Everything is served in some chinese plastics so they save money on washing dishes. Wonton soups were sitting under heat lamps in plastic containers before they brought it to us. My wife's already cold, mine warm but smelled like synthetic plastic fumes! For 11-12$ their dishes are not worth it to wait 30 mins to get plastic plates! My chicken drunken noodles was below OK - chicken didn't taste fresh to me while noodles were undercooked io overcooked - random hard pieces. Sad but but the local was almost empty on a nice Sunday afternoon and I have a feeling why. They will close soon if they continue it

James R.

Yelp
This was by far the NASTIEST Chinese food I've ever had!! I wish I could give it a -2 rating. I realize this isnt authentic Asian food and its "fast food" but I've had significantly better food at other establishments. I DO NOT recommend this place. Find somewhere else to eat.

Sarah F.

Yelp
Usually a pretty consistent restaurant but tonight my meal was soaked in sauce and even a little fishy tasting. All of the meals came in disposable dishes which resulted in a lot of waste even though we ate in the restaurant. Used to really admire the sustainability about then with reusable things but not anymore.

Melv H.

Yelp
The food is just not good here! It's very overpriced with small portions and mediocre service.

Shari H.

Yelp
Staff was arguing when we walked in and while we ordered and then continued after we ordered. Multiple orders before ours were wrong. It took 20 mins to get our food and our daughters beef a broccoli was still raw after taking so long! We won't be back.

Cathy G.

Yelp
Little by little we've been going back to restaurants we went to before Covid. When our entrees arrived, we noticed they were in to-go containers even though we were dining in. The containers hold less food than the plates they used to use. The Honey-Seared Chicken was as delicious as I remembered it, however, the fried rice (which we paid extra for) was mushy. We were disappointed that the food quality (and quantity) went down somewhat.

Betsy C.

Yelp
Unfortunately I am just not a fan of the new menu. Granted it's been a few years since I visited Pei Wei. There weren't any locations where I used to live so I would just dream about what once was. Once I moved to C Springs, and we had driven by it a few times, I knew I needed to stop in. So we stopped. I got Mongolian Chicken, hubs got Pad Thai, shared egg rolls and we both got drinks. The total came to almost $40. Sure the place is clean. Soda machine is fun unless anyone else is there, then you have to wait while they browse the 100+ selections. Bathroom was nice and the employees clean up your plates when you are done. The food was just okay. It actually tastes similar to the products you can buy in the frozen section and heat up yourself. The egg rolls were the best but nothing to write home about. I guess I just really enjoyed the splurge of the old Pei Wei recipes. Now their attempt is to provide healthy food. Maybe that is so you will go more often and not think of it as a splurge. For $40 I would rather go to a Thai restaurant.

Ingrid C.

Yelp
Wow!!! I'm very impressed! The food is delicious and the portions are HUGE ! Staff is super friendly and the environment is pretty casual and laid back! The menu was reasonably priced and great options for the whole family! We had a bento box which included 4 sushi, 3 potstickers , protein entree , brown rice and miso salad all for $9.99!They are kid friendly and had a cute coloring pack with stickers. My 2 year old was entertained and we were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner!!! I definitely encourage you to take a gander at this place! Must go!

Kathleen M.

Yelp
WAHOOO BENTO BOXES ARE HERE!!! Best value for all the best stuff!! ..::. except lettuce wraps but that's ok because you can still order them. BUT you won't need them. There's a ton of foooood!! Now... go order yourself a Bento Box.

Fletcher C.

Yelp
I'd say this is far too expensive for a pitiful excuse for Chinese food. Crab Rangoons were extremely dry, it tasted more like tuna fish than crab, and it was the texture of tuna as well. The chicken was also undercooked. It seems this place buys its items from the frozen food section and heats it. Would not recommend.

Michaela D.

Yelp
I have no complaints about this place on my first experience here! I got the individual portion of lettuce wraps, an order of Thai donuts, and a drink for about $6. The lettuce wraps were outstanding! I will come back just for that and order a bigger portion. The donuts were hot & fresh too. I like that it's fast casual dining but they still clear the table for you.

John W.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Waited for a while for our food but that was just because we had the bad luck of showing up right after a catering order was started. Maybe the best General Tso's chicken I've had.
