We had an amazing time here. The outdoor seating area is so cozy with heaters spread around. The staff is friendly and attentive. The drink menu has a lot of fun options, specifically the lemon basil martini and the blood orange margarita. The appetizers all looked good! We got the bread and spread and the pesto with burrata. Delicious. The ingredients were fresh, everything was well seasoned. For the entrees, the braised short rib is by far the best plate of food. The lasagna was good, very bright tasting like maybe the red sauce didn’t simmer for a long time, still delicious though! The tiramisu is a nice little bite. It’s a petite serving so even if you’re totally full (and you will be) I say still order one. The cream is delightful, lots of strong coffee flavor. We came here to celebrate a birthday, it was a delightful experience!

We used Peirano's for our welcome event for our wedding and I cannot tell you how grateful we are for ALL of the work that they put into it. There were so many special touches that made the night even more spectacular. People absolutely RAVED about the food. When I tell you that ALL of our guests commented on it, it is not an overstatement. We are so grateful for all of their help in picking a perfect menu that honored all of our guests needs. Their staff was incredible and so friendly. A special thank you to Shanon, as she helped everything come together. She was calm and organized, which allowed us to just be able to show up and enjoy- a dream on our wedding weekend. Shanon went above and beyond in helping us to honor special people that were not able to be with us by surprising us with color and detail that we mentioned were important to us. We both said that our one regret of the night is that we were having so much fun and that we didn’t eat more :) They were the best and such a great way to start off the weekend. We are so grateful.

Very authentic Italian food, very delicious. Staff were friendly but food came slow. 20 minutes worth the wait. Everyone loved the mushroom soup. The restaurant is giving the vibes of little Italy. 4.5 of 5, I just did what would get the total closer to 4.5. Good job!

Google
We had an incredible dining experience at Peirano's in Ventura, California. This cozy Italian restaurant serves up authentic, homemade dishes that will transport you to the Tuscan countryside. We feasted on the lasagna, which was rich and layered with tender pasta, savory meat sauce, and a blend of creamy cheeses. The spaghetti and meatballs were equally impressive, with perfectly cooked noodles and flavorful meatballs made with love. But the piece de resistance was the tiramisu, which was creamy, coffee-infused, and utterly divine. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel like part of the family. Recommendation: Don't miss their homemade pasta dishes and desserts!"

Google
We ordered the meatball sub and short rib sandwich to go . Both came out fast and we're super hot. The meatball sub had huge meatballs that were so tender with a ton of cheese and sauce. The bread was soft but had a slightly crunchy exterior. Perfect bite! The short rib was great too. The bread was perfect. The meat was moist and the horseradish sauce was the perfect kick to cut the fattiness without being overpowering. 10/10 would recommend and will likely come back on my next visit to the area. Service was friendly as well.

Guys if you love good Italian food, this is the place to be. I had there short rib sandwich, the basil tomato soup and WOW explosive flavors. This place makes my food soul very happy. Enjoy good eats my brothers and sisters. May God listen to all your prayers..

Food is always great, I enjoy coming here for weekend lunch. Ordered 2 meatballs side dish, chopped Italian salad, and cream of mushroom soup. Food tastes fresh and the bread is amazing.

Google
Best Lasagna in California!! My litmus test for an Italian restaurant is Lasagna. So I ordered it plus a nice Italian Zinfandel. Unique. Incredible. Spectacular. Magnificent. The Best. 5-Star grade. (Wife had salmon, perfect too.) Service super professional. We'll be back..often!! You should go too.

Yelp
I don't know how we haven't been to this place before but we're so happy we stopped today. Everyone was so friendly, the hostess to the waitress, bus boy and manager. We sat outdoors with our dog on their nice large patio and they even accomodated moving us when the sun was a bit hot at our original table. Our iced tea and Arnold Palmer were both great and our glasses were never empty. My husbands turkey pesto sandwich was huge and really good, as was the pasta salad. I got a half sandwich and side of cucumber tomato salad that was delicious as well. We took a piece of their carrot cake to go and not only did it not have nuts, it was the most delicious, light airy carrot cake I've ever had, especially because it wasn't too sweet or overly iced. Lunch was so great we can't wait to come back for brunch or dinner.

Jenna H.

Yelp
Spaghetti and meatballs was the best. 5/5 The lasagna was good. I'd say 4/5 The potato salad was super good 5/5 The lavender drink was delicious but not worth $14. It was tiny. My lasagna came with a tiny piece of garlic bread. Was charged $1.50 for another small slice. Don't recommend that. We did the outdoor seating. It was a lovely day with a beautiful view.

Yelp
This is a return visit review because I enjoyed a previous Yelp Elite Squad event here. This time, we decided to have Sunday Brunch after going to mass at the Mission. It was a mid-July Sunday morning and not much of a wait since it was only about 10 or 11 am. What we liked: The brunch menu options were tasty, fresh, and filling. It was nice to have a children's menu for kids sized portions. We also liked our table because it was outside in the fresh air and covered from potential sun light. What could be improved: For days with worse weather (colder, windier), it would be nice to have more compete and intimate table service inside vice outdoor seating. In summary, it was a great Sunday brunch experience and we can't wait to return.

Deb V.

Yelp
We had a great experience here. We were seated quickly. The outdoors patio is beautiful and spacious. They space the tables apart so you can hear you can have conversations. The service was fast and friendly. Our waiter was helpful and patient. The Italian food was fresh, well spiced and delicious. The shrimp was fresh and perfectly cooked. We already want to return.

Yelp
Peirano's is an Italian restaurant that serves delicious Italian food for dinner. But if you happen to go during lunch, you'll be treated to some delicious sandwiches. Seating in the patio is quite popular so the wait can be long. But if you choose to sit inside, there is no wait. I got the Mozzy burger because I'm burger fanatic and I love my burgers. The unique twist with the Mozzy burger is that it has smoked mozzarella, pistachio pesto, and sundried tomato aioli along with lettuce and bacon. All I can say is what an explosion of savory flavors. Most epic and delicious! My wife got the Pesto veggie sandwich, and she loved it. To her, it was just as epic and delicious as well. Everything that went into the sandwich was perfect and the portion size was huge. She was only able to eat half her sandwich. Surprisingly even the kid's grilled cheese sandwich was a standout. My son loves his grilled cheese, and I can tell he loved it here. He kept asking for more even after he ate it all. I tried it myself and wow, that's a darn good grilled cheese sandwich. The waitress that helped us was great, friendly, and very attentive. The ambiance inside is quite nice and chic. Overall, my family had a positive experience and can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
We went for lunch and it was lovely. We sat in the patio which has a view of the mission, a nice park and people walking by. The patio is covered with shade sails, which is very nice. I ordered the Pesto Bruschetta pasta with gluten free pasta. It came with gf garlic toast. Both were delicious and a generous portion. One lunch mate ordered the lasagna, which looked yummy. The other ordered the Italian grilled cheese with Provolone, aged Fontina and Mozzarella cheeses. It was, according to my friend, delicious and it looked at amazing. The service was good. We were a bit indecisive and had questions and the waitress was very patient and kind.

Yelp
Thanks to their mobile phone texting, we were alerted to Friday afternoon Happy Hour last week. Since I took a four day weekend for the 4th of July, the timing was perfect. Dear Hubby and I definitely are up for a run over to the coast during the heat of summer inland. We are also very fond of Peirano's, so the timing and synergy were great. We arrived early, so kicked around the nearby shops first, then headed back to seek a table on the spacious deck overlooking the Buenaventura Mission. Peirano's includes special little touches of hospitality, like a vase of flowers on a each table. We received a gracious greeting, and a special Happy Hour menu to peruse. Loving that they have featured mocktails, and not just sodas. DH would prefer that they have a few beers on draft, but he was happy with the Ventura Coast Hazy IPA with its fruity notes. The can was a gorgeous floral work of art! We shared items from the Happy Hour menu, like the supremely succulent Calabrian shrimp (they made it with white wine and olive oil instead of butter for me), side orders of meatballs with garlic bread, excellent tuna salad, and a tomato cucumber salad. It was plentiful, and we even took some of the tuna and tomatoes home where I enjoyed them for lunch the next day. I'll happy give a five star rating for the friendly service, delicious food, and gorgeous setting.

Yelp
This is a great spot to grab a delicious lunch! We randomly came across it while waking down the street and had to try it. They have a beautiful patio where we got to enjoy some life music. The servers are so sweet and checked on us often. We enjoyed everything we ordered and left stuffed. Highly recommend their meatballs appetizer and mushroom soup.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
What an amazing spot! We had brunch. The crab cake Benedict is life changing. Amazing wait staff and the Bloody Mary had Italian snacks on it. Waitress is adorable and friendly. Beautiful views as you enjoy the day

Yelp
Great restaurant in ventura across the street from the San Buenaventura Mission. We had an event at the mission and had the catering done by Peirano's and everything was good. The catering service included one of their employees manning the food and guests. She was amazing - everything went smoothly and she was super proactive -refilled my water so I didn't have to get up, constantly cleaning plates and simply making sure everything was good. After the event, we decided to gather at the restaurant itself. The patio was lively with a bad playing...it was more country tunes which isn't my thing but it was still nice to be in a lively patio with music. They had happy hour which was a so-so deal but our servers did great dealing with a big group. Food was pretty good too. I enjoyed their chicken pesto flat bread, Their garlic bread and meatballs were ok. Overall a good place to stop in with great service.

Yelp
Went for anniversary, made phone reservation a few days before saying we did not know whether to sit in or outside. Friendly sounding person who took reservation assured us that we could choose when we got there if locations were not to our liking. There was a table for two against the wall, further back out of direct line of the front door but it was already taken. We did not want to sit right next to that couple while most of the other seating was empty (assuming they had picked that table for same reasons we would have chosen it) so we were seated by the table for two near front window. Unfortunately every time the entrance door opened, blasts of chilly air came in so we ultimately moved outside to a table against the railing and staff brought a heater over. If you are going for anniversary or desiring more intimate seating and you've dined here before, I'd request specific locations ahead of time where you'd like to sit and see if those can be guaranteed. What we ordered was good and tasted/presentation as expected and the person who took our orders was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I am so glad I finally got the chance to come and try out Peirano's. We had made a dinner reservation to celebrate my friend's birthday. For dinner we were seated outside on their patio which gave it a very relaxing and intimate experience. You are able to see out onto Main St and enjoy the beautiful night! Service was excellent, our waitress would come in and check on us and asked us from the beginning if we had any menu questions! She was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! I ordered the Italian Margarita which is more of a sour and bitter taste so if you enjoy drinks like that this is the one for you which I enjoyed. For my main plate I had the Calabrian Shrimp Pasta. It was a beautiful plate and tasted even better. It has a spicy flavor which gives it a savory taste. Everyone from our party had great things to say about their pastas and plates. Truly a local gem on Main St!

Yelp
Wonderful location in downtown Ventura with patio and indoor seating.. Food and beverages are on point frankly delicious!!! Service is outstanding!! Definitely a must visit while in the area...

Yelp
Food was freshly made. Our waiter was super friendly she gave complementary chips.. Great ambiance super old New York style building.

Yelp
Can I leave a 10 star review!? We visit Ventura every 2-3 months and this is our go to for breakfast every time!! I even signed up for their weekly text updates lol.. service is always 100%, we love to sit outside with the view of the beautiful mission. Their coffee is sooooo delish I ordered some grounds for home. You cannot go wrong with this place especially if they have some live music going on!! Oh and I forgot to mention the yummy carrot cake we were gifted just because.. Thanks guys!!

Anthony C.

Yelp
I did it. I found my new favorite Italian sandwich spot in Ventura. I won't try any others after having this sandwich. The lettuce is dressed with herbs and oil and a little vinegar, while the meats are so incredibly fresh and delicious tasting. No compromise- this is Ventura's best Italian sandwich.

Kristi N.

Yelp
This is our current favorite spot down town. Extremely dog friendly, quiet patio across from the mission and by the fountain. I love the chicken sandwich 1/2 is perfect for me with soup or a side. The house mushroom soup is delicious with a little kick to it. The sides are fresh and on display in the case. Nice wine and cocktail menu. The service is excellent and cordial inside or outside.

Sara S.

Yelp
Yummy yummy!! I got the chicken picatta with sun veggies (no pasta) and this was so flavorful! The chicken was cooked perfectly; very moist, plump and good quality. The veggies were plentiful and the picatta sauce was out of this world! Service was good, ambiance was fun. I love that the patio is spacious and you have room (not on top of each other). Very clean inside and out. After checking out, I asked for a piece of lemon cake to go. The owner/manager was so kind. He gave me the cake "on the house". It feels like Ventura here and I love it! I'll be back & I'm sending lots of food lovers their way!

Yelp
Amazing dinner at this beautiful Italian restaurant. Our waiter Robert was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this upscale restaurant.

Dave J.

Yelp
After walking through downtown we saw this place. It looked nice and was busy. We checked the Yelp reviews and ventured in. It did not disappoint. Food was great...especially the Salmon Risotto and it is a great location in the shadow of the mission.

Terry M.

Yelp
Everything to love about Peirano's. Awesome location...people watching but no bustling crowds. Comfortable. The service was above average. We waited a little long for one dish, and the server added a free desert and apology for the wait. They get it. Start with a cappuccino, which was probably the smoothes, richest I've ever had. We had a late lunch, so went with the roasted red pepper soup, Italian salad, and chicken picatta. All were very good and a good value. Wish we were more hungry because glancing at what the other diners were having, I don't think there's a mediocre dish on their menu. Finished with a carrot cake. My wife and I aren't big carrot cake fans but we decided to roll the dice. Glad we did. Great finisher. Highly recommended.

Madeline H.

Yelp
Best caesar salad in Ventura. Our group had the braised ribs, lasagna, carbonara and shrimp with angel hair pasta. All the dishes were very good and the lasagna portion is really like 2-3 meals! The braised ribs was the highlight. Very good wait staff. If you can, sit outside on the patio as there are plenty of warmers and it's a nice atmosphere. Very well prepared, flavorful and excellent.

Joshua G.

Yelp
Came by for a late lunch on a Sunday and stopped in at 2:33 and was told they were closed despite both the website and the sign on the door saying that they closed at 3 PM. I definitely got the vibe from the hostess that they just didn't want to do anything anymore today. Too bad, it looked decent, but I'll never know because of some staff that just didn't care.

Elena M.

Yelp
Highly recommend the cheese board! It's perfect for two people or share with other small plates. The flat breads with sped were also delicious. Sitting outside on a nice sunny day is beautiful. The service was okay, but nothing to run home about. They have a lot on the menu so plenty to choose from!

Ulli H.

Yelp
Came here to meet a friend for drinks and an appetizer. We shared a plate of bread & spread with Olive Tampenade and tomato basil salad. They were out of flatbread, but we wanted vegan bread anyways, so they accommodated us with their baguette. For drinks I had a fizzy blood orange margarita. very good with the salt rim, which I usually don't like - guess Bob Ross would call that a happy accident :) Our server was very attentive and friendly, he checked in with us several times and provided excellent service. The ambience outside is lovely especially when it gets cold and their light chains come on. The heaters were awesome once it got chilly. Overall a nice place to relax and enjoy good company.

Lauren G.

Yelp
The food was amazing and lizzy the bartender/server was the best in town! We really enjoyed the live music and service even the busser manny was awesome!! Thank you for the best time ever!

Jason S.

Yelp
I was take. Here for my birthday breakfast. Seated outside in early (10ish) hours was a bit chilly but I guess comes with dining downtown on the morning time so close to beach. Heaters were there but not on. I guess I could have asked. I ordered the breakfast lasagna, egg overhard. All was tasty but only issue was the egg came runny. :/ I didn't want to say anything so I pushed it aside and gobbled the rest. There was enough to take home so that was a plus. I'd return.

Jessica b.

Yelp
Came in about a week ago for lunch with my husband, had an amazing time! The italian sandwich is very good with lots of meat in it, the mushroom soup is a little spicy but very good and it has sliced mushroom it's not a puree. The service was amazing, our server stephanie was very nice and attentive with our table, the hostess sienna was very alert and welcoming at the front of the restaurant, we even got some deli meat from angel after our meal! Peiranos truly is what ventura is all about, amazing food, amazing customer service from stephanie, sienna, and angel. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves to have a good experience.

Ernie V.

Yelp
There is nothing more enjoyable than spending time with my wife on a Sunday afternoon at our favorite restaurant Peirano's, downtown Ventura. The food, the ambiance, and the best staff are exceptional!

Alyssa M.

Yelp
Love this place. They custom made my turkey sandwich with modifications. It was delicious. Only thing I wish is that they had more bread options. I was there over the weekend for the Ventura Half Marathon. I ordered to-go and the service was fast. I ate outside at their table and it was such a beautiful day. Super kind and attentive staff. I lost my driver's license at the race Expo next door which the race directors helped me find, but the owner of Peirano's offered to look for it and call me! Kind people and delicious food.

Alyssa A.

Yelp
We always saw this place when downtown and kept mentioning we needed to stop and eat here. We finally did and wished we had stopped here sooner. It's a beautiful little restaurant with wonderful outdoor seating. Perfect place for a midday date or brunch with friends. They also allow dogs outside, which is always a big plus in my book. We weren't sure what we wanted when we came here, so we ended up sharing the Antipasto Platter. Such a good choice! There were such a wide variety of meats, veggies, and bread on the platter, and it was all so delicious and mixed so well together. With that and a glass of wine each, it was wonderful to sit outside, enjoy the breeze, and have a relaxing meal. They have a great wine menu to pick from. Staff here are fantastic. Super friendly and kind. While this was the first time we came here, we kept seeing and smelling all the other food come out and are super excited to come back and give more of their menu a try.

Ron D.

Yelp
Very nice Italian cafe with beautiful deck, outside seating and view of the mission across the street. We had a a Tuna & Italian sandwich which both were delicious as we asked, and they delivered with toasted bread. Service was excellent as well.

Samuel C.

Yelp
Was invited by friends for brunch Sunday, our server Katie was attentive and helpful explaining brunch specials. I have a history of 14 years behind the bar and I was impressed by the lavender expresso martini, my special request. The mimosa was also good. See photos! Misha was quick to help us get setup! The salmon salad was well portioned and excellently paired with the balsamic vinegarette. We sat outdoors around 1pm, it was sunny and warm with a live performance by Gabby Hanna. A wonderful Sunday afternoon. Defiantly coming back.

Galo G.

Yelp
I just had lunch a peiranos I don't eat meat so the server was very nice in recommending a pesto sandwich with a potato salad it was delicious Is a beautiful restaurant and the service and food marvelous and delicious I'll be back .

Ashlyn O.

Yelp
Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner, excellent food and service! Absolutely delicious and wonderful atmosphere. We felt very prioritized and cared for. The manager (a woman) was amazing!!

Lisa W.

Yelp
Fresh pastas and soup (cream of mushroom).Beautiful patio seating! Lunch runs til 2pm.

Erica G.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place since it opened! A group of my amigas and I decided to have lunch here. I called earlier that day and made a reservation for four. I am happy I did because there could be times where the wait is long. We went on a Saturday, so they didn't have a brunch menu. Bummer, I was looking forward to some Eggs Benedict . Their steamer for lattes/cappuccinos was broken, not their fault but also bummed about that. I need my foamy latte that morning! LoL! We sat outside and though it was a bit chilly, they had heaters. Major plus. I ordered the Famous meat lasagna which I didn't love. I added salt, pepper and tons of cheese. For me, it lacked seasoning. I wouldn't order again. I also ordered the carrot cake. Omg! It was delicious and a huge piece for $10! So worth it. One of my friends ordered the tiramisu and loved it as well! Service was great. Our server was sweet and funny! She had jokes and I loved it. I'm a jokester as well :) I'll def go back to try other dishes and for brunch/dinner service.

Dr Victor Denis P.

Yelp
food was OK. Nothing to brag about : the service, the people behind the counter dismal, lacked structure, no order, no management. The staff seems to be. just walking around without purpose. It took approximately 20 minutes to prepare my sandwich. It's a sandwich tuna melt. It's not complicated: lack of management: lack of structure and lack of friendliness.

Laura S.

Yelp
The very best creamy mushroom soup. Flavorful and delicious. Love the Italian sandwich and their pasta. Satisfaction guaranteed no matter what you order the delicious.

Micheal P.

Yelp
First time to Ventura and went here for lunch. Great patio, great staff, relaxing view of the fountain and the mission. Had a great conversation with the owner. Got a free piece of Carrot Cake (Incredible by the way). Definitely will come back.

Katelyn P.

Yelp
Went last Friday night and sat on the patio. I love coming here with my girlfriends. From their brunch to their dinner, the food is so delicious. It's such a nice place with a wonderful historic background and it's so fun to see the owners respect the past of it, but also expand on it. I added short rib to my veggie sandwich and couldn't have been happier. The carbonara is decadent without being overly rich with every bite. The Calabrian chili butter is delicious on everything. Our server is always so sweet and attentive. Finding us the last bottle of wine because she knew we wanted it so badly. Recommending the Gin Spritz, which is beyond perfect in every way. Recommending to mix the gelatos? Girl, you're brilliant.

Lauren H.

Yelp
Food was okay. Not the worst, but not the best. The salad we ordered was absolutely fabulous, really fresh and delicious. Unfortunately couldn't say the same about the pasta dishes. Service gets 5 stars. Had a great, friendly, accommodating server.

Libby G.

Yelp
Service good Ambiance good Food I wish was good. Going out for dinner and paying $77.00 you want good food. I ordered a 1/2 chopped salad the cheese and meat were cut so thick it was hard to eat. All oil in the dressing will herbs and no vinegar. Also ordered the cacio pepe. Wow what a disappointment it was swimming in so much oil I had to pour it out on a small plate at least 1/4 of fat. Seems like nothing bound properly. My husband ordered the pasta with spicy sausage no spice No flavor. $8.00 for a bowl of garlic bread huh no garlic. I only gave 1 star as a courtesy for the service and ambiance. Also to be able to post. This is how a chopped salad looks. What the recipe?

Yelp
Peirano's is an authentic Italian Restaurant, Market and Deli located in downtown Ventura... Such an attractive restaurant on the corner of Main St, right across from the San Buenaventura Mission. Which is also a historic landmark that's been around for more than 100 years. There's plenty of public parking that is walking distance. The nearest lots would be on Santa Clara Street & Palm Street. On the weekends it gets super full so parking can be a biatch. If you don't mind a stroll, you can always park in the parking structure on Santa Clara between California St & Chestnut St. You'll work up an appetite & you can galavant throughout downtown Ventura. FYI Street parking has metered parking. I don't usually park there because idk if they check & I don't need a ticket. Just know you probably have to circle around the lots a few times especially on the weekends. They have spacious indoor seating surrounded by the goodies the market has to offer such as dry pasta, oils, spreads, breads, snacks, desserts & more. You'll also find a deli counter where you can order hot & cold food. I had some friends visiting from out of town so I suggested to come to Peirano's. We came here for Sunday Brunch. They have beautiful outdoor dining & they allow fur guests. So it was purrfect... We literally could not decide what to order because everything sounded so good & looked so yummy in Yelp Photos. I had Frittata for the first time. Mmm, Pistachio Pesto Frittata. It was so light yet so delish!. My friend devoured her Breakfast Lasagna. & my BFF got the Stuffed French Toast with Italian Sausage. Soo Goood!... I'm definitely getting that next time. Everything was soo good! We paired our delicious meal with a bottle of Rosé, which complimented everything well.... Of course we had dessert! Oh My Tiramisu... My mouth just watered haha. Just peep the spread in the following pics.... While enjoying our brunch we had awesome live entertainment by Jayden Secor. My friends loved it here at Peirano's!! We had superb service, awesome entertainment & delicious food!! It's worth it!!.. Alyssa! Thank You for being our waitress! This is definitely what we came here for. *Call ahead & make reservations for Sunday Brunch!

Yelp
Born and raised in the 805 Ventura is a stones throw from where I live. Being invited to be an Elite Yelper brought me to this unique Italian bistro today. The curbside appeal was elegant and inviting with two patio seating areas. Once inside I was immediately distracted by the pastas and sauces fully stocked for purchase. It was like walking into a bodega in NYC! Seated on the patio with a view of the harbor from our table I tried the Basil Bourbon sour. Such a fragrant refreshing cocktail!! A great way to start any happy hour, we had the flatbread with mushroom, arugula, gorgonzola cheese Drizzled with balsamic! (Delish!) The server's gave such precise details of the items served I hurried to jot them down. These were dishes I wanted to remember and share with my friends. Honestly, I'm a Hamburger & Fries gal. I like predictable it's easy. This evening's experience has opened my eyes to a world of flavors. From the Flatbread, Roast Beef crostini, and the roasted vegetable Risotto. I would have never come here for a meal, after today's experience I will definitely be eating here again. The cocktails were top notch, just remember to dress warm. Sometimes the the beautiful view makes you forget the sun goes down.

Yelp
Location: We heard about this little spot in downtown from one of the Yelp Elite events! We came to check out this cute little spot with definite outdoor summer vibes!! They had a very cute decorated outdoor space overlooking a big water fountain and park!! It was a nice space with great ambiance, as they had live music (every Thursday and maybe on friday evenings during summer?). This is right near all the downtown happenings, so there is plenty of free and paid parking nearby! The service was amazing!!! They were quick to bring drinks and snacks, and were always great at explaining the foods that we saw coming out! Everyone there was super friendly! They make sure to welcome you in, when you walk I to the main deli and are quick to seat you, if you're there to stay. Their main deli area had a bunch of pre-prepped salads, pastas and even gelato!!! But they also had stuff you can buy to take home. The food itself looked and tasted delicious!! We had the mushroom and onion flatbread with a balsamic glaze, that didn't last long at our table! So fresh and light!! We also had a great roast beef crostini with horse radish and an aioli that gave it a little kick! And an amazinggggggggg roasted veggie rissoto! Ugh that was the star!! So so good, cooked to perfection, warm and so flavorful! The roasted veggies in the rissoto also gave it a bit of texture too! Definitely try that when you stop by!!! In addition to the great food, we also had a few great beverages (both mocktails and cocktails)!! If you're feeling like a cocktail, definitely try the lavender gimlet( a lavender infused gin and lemon drink) or even the Prosecco with lemon sorbet (to keep you cool!) But if you're just up for a mock tail, this place will not disappoint either!! I suggest getting the blood orange sparkling Pellegrini with lemon sorbet or even the lemonade Pellegrino!! Refreshing to say the least!! Definitely adding to our summer happy hour rotation of spots in Ventura! Hope you try them out and love it!!!! We'll definitely be back to try some of their sandwiches and pastas that I keep hearing about!! ***Lastly, Shout out to Jara for hosting such an amazing Ventura Elite event!!!! Thank you Peirano's and Ventura Yelp for having us out today!

Yelp
On the west end of Main Street sits this cute Italian Deli. The vibe inside reminds me of places I've been to on the east coast. It was a cool, overcast afternoon when we came by so we chose indoor dining. I did notice a beautiful outdoor patio which also looked quite inviting, Shortly after we walked in we were told to choose a table and a server would follow. My friend was in the mood for a hot lunch so she chose the chicken piccata served with asparagus , angel hair pasta and a roasted lemon half. To drink, she ordered an iced tea. I ordered the tuna sandwich with little gem lettuce. After a brief wait our food was served. My friend enjoyed her lunch, although her iced tea was served in the smallest of glasses. A couple swallows and it was finished. Our server did not offer a refill and she had to ask if refills were included, which we learned yes, in fact they were. My sandwich was quite large, the bread was tasty, and it did contain one or two pieces of lettuce. The tuna salad itself seemed good although it was a bit wet for my taste. It's just personal preference that I do not like mayo dripping out of a tuna sandwich. Next time, I'll check out a different item from their menu. We parked in the lot by the museum, just a short walk away and enjoyed our day in Ventura.

Yelp
Homemade, Italian food with a beautiful view of downtown Ventura and attentive staff. Peirano's is a lovely, Italian restaurant that has a cheese and deli store as well. For appetizers we got the crab cakes and the cheese platter. The crab cakes were so good! They're slightly sweet which was a nice surprise. The cheese platter comes with pepper Jack, mozzarella, and another cheese type and homemade berry jam, dried fruit, and nuts. Really fancy and a great snack before your entree. For entrees we got the stuffed shells which were so Rick and had a slight kick with the chili flakes; we also got the chicken Marsala which was so creamy and you could taste the wine in the sauce; as I got the Cacio e Pepe that had a bit if a kick with the black pepper and the pasta is made al dente. We finished off with a carrot cake dessert that was super good and fresh.
