Peju Winery Review - Napa - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Whenever we go to Peju in Rutherford, we feel like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. You won’t get waistcoats or pocket watches when you arrive, but you will lose track of time wandering around this winery that looks like a French castle. Come here in the late afternoon when it’s less crowded, and you’ll find a few tables in the middle of the vineyard. Sit in the sun and open a few bottles of Province, their red and white blend that’s a good middle ground for everyone in your group." - Will Kamensky

This is truly one of the most beautiful and remarkable wineries to visit in Napa Valley. Family-owned and steeped in tradition, the winery offers an unforgettable experience marked by genuine hospitality and exceptional service. From the moment you arrive, the warm and welcoming staff ensures that every guest feels like part of the family. The wines are nothing short of extraordinary — crafted with care, passion, and expertise, they stand out as some of the finest in the region. Whether you’re visiting with family or friends, I highly recommend making this winery a part of your Napa Valley journey. It is a 10/10 experience in every respect — distinguished by professionalism, authenticity, and unparalleled quality.

We had such a wonderful time at Peju Winery! The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Harvey was an absolute gem — so pleasant, funny, and incredibly welcoming. He really made our visit extra special with his great energy and hospitality. And of course, the wine never disappoints — consistently delicious every time we come. Peju is truly one of our favorite spots in Napa!

As a Napa Local, I've experienced my share of wineries and wine clubs. As a member of Peju's wine club, I'm inspired to not only bring visiting friends and family to enjoy Peju with me, but also to write this review! Most recently, we tried the Reserve Experience, the charcuterie board included in the experience really enhanced it! They have the Best Chef, Chef Nic, who creates the most wonderful wine pairings. The lunch in the vineyards is not to be missed! Overall the wine, the beautiful grounds and the food is unique in Napa Valley, and not to be missed!

Highly recommend a tasting at Peju during your Napa visit - their wine selection is delicious and the sommelier was friendly. My husband and I went with another couple, I recommend making a reservation in advance because it tends to get booked up. The ambience of the winery is beautiful, with stained glass paintings and Italian interiors. 10/10 recommend!

Google
The best winery we discovered on this trip. The wines here are distinctly different from the ones we usually drink. Scott’s explanations enhanced the flavors and aromas of the wines, making the tasting experience even more enjoyable. The wines were exceptional, making us think about perfect food pairings as we sipped. After listening to our preferences and the types of wines we enjoyed during the tasting, he generously offered us a few additional wines to try beyond the ones included in our tasting selection. In the end, their excellent recommendations led us to purchase a few bottles. The tasting fee was $65 per person, but since we purchased 4 bottles, they waived the tasting fees. Peju has now become the first winery we plan to revisit this fall.

Beautiful setting to enjoy really good wine. Our sommelier was very knowledgeable and made the wine tasting unique.

Google
During our visit, we had the pleasure of experiencing the beautiful surroundings of this Napa Valley winery. The outdoor area resembled a peaceful garden, featuring charming sculptures and a stylish building with an old charm. The entrance, adorned with a unique arch, led us to a souvenir shop offering a variety of items, including wines and scented candles, from which we purchased some delightful gifts. We look forward to returning for a wine-tasting experience during our next visit.

Google
Joseph was literally the best host we have ever had at a winery. Cannot recommend more. Such a fun experience, excellent wines, wish there was a Joseph at every winery.

Yelp
After visiting Peju for the first time in August 2006, I've been hooked! Having been a member of their wine club on and off for the past 18 years, they have consistently grown in quality and Sara Fowler always strives to make great wines that are unique and delicious. To this day, our wine cellar has more bottles of Piu than any other wine by far, and these were all procured directly from the winery. They're merchandising has grown as has their tasting room and staff. It's been a joy to visit multiple times each year, and a place I recommended to Highway 29. Your hours are convenient, so there's never an excuse to not visit Peju!

Yelp
Walk-ins are welcome-ish. Walked in at 1pm on a Tuesday and couldn't be accommodated. Politely asked us to try the next day. It was worth a try. Learned the hard way that you need reservations everywhere. Too bad we didn't get seated. Our good friends sent us here. Because of our friend's strong recommendation we still opted to purchased two bottles of their 2018 Cabernet reserve for $150 each and walked away.

Yelp
We visited here back in September and I'm just now getting around to leaving reviews. We opted for the Indoor Standing Counter Tasting and our host was Scott. He was absolutely hilarious and it was clear how much he really loved working there. He had nothing but good things to say about the winery and the family that owns it. He was cracking jokes the whole time and it was just a very lively tasting. I didn't take any photos of the tasting, but the property is beautiful and has trees that reminded me of Dr. Seuss or the Lorax. It was fun passing by the winery and seeing them everyday during our trip. There were so many stained glass windows on the building and they also had a small art gallery upstairs, so there was a lot to look at. We would visit here again!

Yelp
Five stars for incredible service and equally astonishing wine! We called ahead to make a same-day reservation, and the team was accommodating. Upon checking in, they guided us to an upstairs area overlooking some barrels. We enjoyed a delicious cheese board as we began our tasting. Andrew was a delight and very passionate about the wine. When I inquired about the famous "Rutherford Dust," he even brought out a wine not on the tasting menu to let me experience a 100% Rutherford wine. It was a memorable and personalized experience!

Yelp
Cheers! I'll start first by mentioning my visit to Peju Winery was in May 2023. I had the best intentions of posting a review sooner, but sadly it wasn't meant to be. Albeit quite late, I still wanted to review Peju as I personally felt the experience very noteworthy. And now, on to the review. As I've already mentioned, I visited Peju Winery in May 2023 with my brother and sister-in-law. Thankfully, my SIL had planned our overnight trip to Napa very carefully and made reservations at all the vineyards we visited, Peju included. Our reservation was early in the morning, I believe around 1030am, and thankfully it wasn't very busy when we arrived. My first impression of the vineyard was that it was very pristine and peaceful. We took some pictures of the main building and fountains before our appointment. We checked in with the staff/host, and informed him about our appointment. While we were being checked in, my brother and I took the time to admire the arched stained glass window in their main room/store. It depicted a musical trio in a garden setting. I thought it was quite captivating honestly. We made our way to the tasting room, where our host, Scott, expertly guided us through their tasting menu in describing the taste, smell, and process of their wines. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and especially passionate about the Peju brand and vineyard. He provided a brief history of its owner and founder, Tony Peju, who sadly passed away the month following our visit. In the end, we purchased a few bottles of wine, had our pictures taken by Scott, and were on our way. BOTTOM LINE: An exceptional and memorable visit at Peju Winery.

Yelp
Stopped in for a tasting solo on a recent work conference trip to Napa and had a wonderful time at Peju, thanks to the delicious wines and excellent service from Joseph! This is a women and family owned winery that predominantly utilizes European winemaking techniques (which essentially means that the wine is left to ferment with minimal intervention/additives) with delightful results and a gorgeous property. It was a Tuesday afternoon, so I wound up being the only one in the tasting room, but Joseph kept the wines pouring at a reasonable pace without rushing me, striking the perfect balance between friendly conversation/keeping me company and giving me space to enjoy my wine and reading. He was knowledgeable about the wines/winemaking but also shared his recommendations for local activities and restaurants to enhance my trip. He also thoughtfully incorporated a few bonus wines in my tasting, adding in their unique Province red-white blend to soften the transition between reds and whites and allowing me to finish with the Brut Rose. The highlights for me (a mostly white wine drinker!) were the delicious Cabernet Sauvignon and their Reserve Blend, which were phenomenal. I also particularly enjoyed their Carnival French Colombard, a delicious white wine with just a hint of sweetness. I wound up ordering several bottles to ship home (a rare achievement for this girl from Delaware, as there are complicated alcohol shipping restrictions that most individual wineries don't navigate --- Peju works with a 3rd party shipper to make it happen!!), and then wandered their beautiful grounds for a bit before I left. All in all, a wonderful visit and a winery I'd visit again if I'm back in the area.

Yelp
Today we visited Peju for a fantastic wine tasting with Harvey. We lean towards reds and love the Reserve selection... don't forget to ask for the 50/50. We were seated in the special room with the wine barrels and the whole feel was as if we were family. Please stop by tag me and enjoy.

Yelp
Had an excellent tasting here! Peju was highly recommended to us by several friends, and it did not disappoint. The grounds are beautiful and welcoming. The Location is kid and dog-friendly though not overrun by either. The wine is delicious. For my kids, they were able to provide aqua Fresca which made them very happy. With purchase of bottles, we received discounts on tastings, which was nice. Would highly recommend Peju and would go there again!

Yelp
Love the tour and wine. Great place to relax and enjoy Napa! Was able to walk around and enjoy the estate

Yelp
I've been a member at Peju for about 20 years. On this trip, we did the chef's tasting on day one, and the reserve tasting on day two. The food and wine selections at both were great, but the time and education provided by Joseph Foss during the reserve tasting was the highlight. The only negative thing to say about any of the experience, is that the Michelin star rated chefs dinner tasting menu at Press just wasn't all that impressive after the exceptional experiences at Peju... Thanks to Chef David, Joseph and the staff who made this trip to Napa one to remember!

Yelp
What a great time we had learning about Peru & local grape varietals and the magic of blending the grapes! John was a Wonderful tour guide and explained each wine, how it was made and what we were tasting! Big Thanks! Of course we brought some home... the Cab Franc is wonderful and we will love matching it with a perfect Middle Eastern food! The grounds are fantastic & relaxing, the tasting was fun and we learned a lot... we will be back! Cheers!

Yelp
Peju is, without a doubt, my favorite winery in the Napa Valley. The exceptional wine quality, breathtaking grounds, and outstanding service all come together to create an unforgettable experience. I will be back!

Yelp
This is one of our favorite wineries, somehow managing to be both quirky and classy! The wines are reasonable and exceptional we especially love both the rose and the (pricier but worth it!) reserve cab. Always friendly and open later than others-it's a great way to end the day.

Yelp
Super pretty winery. I recommend taking someone who hasn't been to Napa to get an Italian winery feeling!! Walk in friendly. We waiting around 10-20 min for a table and the seating area was nice. We liked the red white blend and got a bottle to take home.

Yelp
The wine tasting experience at Peju Winery in Napa was truly exceptional. The reds, notably their Cabernet Sauvignon, exhibited a rich complexity with well-balanced flavors, leaving a lasting impression. The whites, particularly the Sauvignon Blanc, were equally delightful, offering a crisp and refreshing taste. What stood out just as much as the wines was the fabulous service - knowledgeable staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and a commitment to making the experience memorable. Peju Winery is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking a perfect blend of outstanding wines and impeccable service in the heart of Napa Valley.

Yelp
Ever since my college days, Peju Winery has held a special place in my heart, making it my ultimate favorite in Napa. My four-year journey there was so profound that I became a club member. And now, whenever I find a free moment, I love introducing friends to their exceptional wine tastings. The 50/50 holds a permanent spot as my all-time favorite, a wine that never disappoints. Savoring their Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot has become a true pleasure for me. Pairing their wines with the Chef's sampler is a match made in heaven. Every bite brings a delightful surprise, and the flavors complement their wine selection flawlessly. The blend of tastes is nothing short of delicious. A special shout-out goes to the friendly and knowledgeable hosts who enhance the experience. Their warmth and expertise truly make each visit memorable.

Yelp
My recent visit to Peju was great. We called ahead and were pleasantly surprised to find that our reservation could be accommodated an hour earlier than planned. Upon arrival, our table was ready, and all the red wines were pre-poured, allowing us to dive straight into the tasting experience. Our host, Andrew, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He guided us through the tasting, providing fascinating insights into each wine. The winery itself is simply beautiful, adding to the overall ambiance of the experience.
google avatar

Yelp
We had such a great experience at Peju. Four girlfriends decided to go wine tasting to celebrate one of our friends who was recently engaged. We didn't make a reservation but were able to be seated for a wine tasting nonetheless! Highly recommend booking a reservation because we got lucky, it was really busy when we visited! Harvey helped us out with tastings that day and he was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the wine, had a great sense of humor and really personalized the experience. One girlfriend mentioned she preferred white wines and he let her taste the Province which is a red and white blend. It was perfect & we ended up taking home a few bottles. Great experience overall and we will be back- this time with a reservation!

Yelp
After filling our tummies with breakfast on day 2 in Napa, we found ourselves at Peju winery where my BFF and her hubby are long time wine club members. The entryway has this fairytale quality about it with the bubbling fountain, graceful statues, and impeccable landscaping. The vineyard views are breathtaking, the wine selection is diverse, and the staff's knowledge and friendliness added a wonderfully personal touch to our tasting experience. Each and every pour came with a detailed explanation about the provenance of the grapes going back centuries. I learned so much and was leaning towards giving Peju 5 stars. Their seating arrangement for smaller groups near the large window however seemed a bit cramped. Since my party of 6 occupied the large table, we were very comfortable. Overall, this vineyard is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking a peaceful escape.

Yelp
My wife and I had a scheduled tasting at Caymus winery and we where super early so we drive around looking for somewhere that took walk ins. We happened upon this jewel . Very beautiful property and relaxing scenery! We were promptly greeted and take outside for a tasting ! Our host came out and greeted us. He asked about our wine preferences and customized a tasting for each of us based on the questions he asked. I have never liked rose as I am a Pinot or Malbec guy. But I must say it was a delight. Very light and not too sweet. Tasted a cab, Pinot, red blend, and a Zen. I must say this random stop was nothing short of wonderful! We purchased a couple of bottles and gave gratitude for the service! Will look for this wine at total wines and Spec's!
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
This is a family owned winery which started in 1983 and they bought up land in the valley which now totals over 600 acres. Land in Napa is now 1 to 2 million dollars per acre so you can do the math and see that if they ever sell it's a fortune. So everyone is aware many vineyards do a lot of reds and only a couple of whites and I prefer whites as reds gives me a headache drinking it. I always ask to please serve all your whites and Rose and I'll have very small samples of red. Most all the hosts in Napa are wonderful except at Castello di Amorosa where the host is paid commission for selling wine. The owner of Peru died in June and the family have now taken the reins. Everything I tasted was terrific!

Yelp
My recent visit to Peju Winery was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. A special shoutout to Patrick Holst, who went above and beyond to ensure my visit was perfect. His expertise and passion for wine truly shined through as he guided me through the winery. Patrick's recommendations were spot-on, and his engaging storytelling made the my experience both informative and entertaining. Additionally, Todd deserves high praise for the exceptional tasting session. His enthusiasm and deep understanding of the wines made the tasting an absolute delight. Each wine was outstanding, showcasing the winery's dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Thank you to the entire Peju team for making my visit so memorable. The combination of fantastic wine, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional service has made Peju Winery my new favorite spot. I can't wait to return! Cheers!

Yelp
10/10 everything! For Sunday Funday my girl and I enjoyed a tasting hosted by Richard in the cellar. He was super nice and took us on a very refreshing journey. I'm new to wines, so, I love when I'm greeted with open arms. Out of all the wines we tried Province was hands down my fav. I purchased a bottle but cannot wait to come try more and select another fav. Also, the winery is beautiful.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation and they were full, but we were able to buy a couple bottles of wine to enjoy there. We ordered a Cabernet and a Sauvignon Blanc to enjoy while seated on their patio area. The Sauv Blanc was nice and crisp and the Cab was a good full bodied wine. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We walked around after enjoying our wine and took in all that was to see. There's a huge grass area with lovely leaning trees, a koi pond, some grape vines growing on the property, just to name a few. This was one of the places open later than most of the others which was nice since we got into Napa a little late. This was definitely a nice place to visit
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
This winery is so underrated! My cousin and I tried the original counter tasting. Although I wish it lasted longer I was impressed by the selection, especially the province. It's a pretty small location but the vineyards with the mountains in the back were beautiful.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a wine tasting a few days ago and had a pretty good experience. When we arrived, we were greeted with a tasting of their sparkling festive wine which was reminiscent of a sangria and was very tasty. Next we were taking to the tasting room where we sampled multiple wines, all which were delicious. Unfortunately, the room was full of fruit flies which is understandable given this was a winery, but several landed in our drinks which was less than ideal. Thankfully, they were able to replace our glasses and gave us little lids for our wine glasses so it wouldn't happen again. At the end of the tasting, they gave us some Merlot hot chocolate which was super rich and flavorful! We couldn't get enough. After the tasting, we walked around the front of the property which was beautiful!
google avatar

Yelp
Had a lovely tasting experience at Peju. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling rose, then our hostess Cathleen took us to a private seating area which was next to a big window overlooking the garden. One of our party was allergic to red wines and she was able to do a white wine flight instead. Cathleen took us through our wine flights at the most perfect pace. She was very knowledgeable about each of the wines and also the family history of the vineyards. I also love that you can order food/snacks to pair with your tasting. We even got to meet HB and her pups! They came by our table and the dogs were so friendly. The grounds are lovely and we had fun taking pictures with the garden sculptures after our tasting.
google avatar

J C.

Yelp
We had an absolutely lovely time here. Not only are the grounds truly breathtaking, but the tasting room is also airy and bright. They are also dog friendly, including indoors! They have one of the few competitively priced (under $100) bottles of Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon left in the valley. In addition, we particularly enjoyed their take on Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Their cheese plate is also an excellent value and plenty for two. The best part of the tasting experience however, hands down, had to be Scott. Scott was a consummate professional, inviting, knowledgeable, and with a voice like no other. They also have discounts for locals! Left with a few bottles and would happily return.

Yelp
Our visit to Peju Winery was a delight! We arrived for our Classic Seated Tasting and were escorted to the cutest table amongst the barrels. Our server was AWESOME! He was very knowledgeable, giving us the history of the winery and details about each wine while also keeping it fun for my best friend & I on our girls trip. I don't typically like red wines but those included in this tasting weren't all exceptionally dry. We also tried the Chef Sampler which was delicious! I could've easily eaten a plate of those lamb sliders. I'd definitely recommend Peju!

Katherine P.

Yelp
First time Napa goers! Last minute kid free trip for us and thank goodness Peju had walk-in welcomes. We did a tasting with Dan and by far the best way to start our morning. Knowledgeable and funny stories. Thank you Dan for the experience! Will be back with more friends for the pizza experience.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of my favorite wineries in Napa! Why? Because of the location, the landscape, and the outside. Unique shape building it takes me to Ireland! The staff is great, I've never had hard time booking a tasting. Depending who does your flight some may be more generous and let you try other wines which to me is a big plus specially for the price. They offer a few snack size bites, I recommend eating prior or bringing your own only because it won't fill you and you will end up buying more than one which adds up quickly. I recommend their white wines!! Omg so crisp and just so gooooood! They have one wine that is a mix of white and red, it had a unique taste but it goes well with snacking and if you are not a big fan of reds this one will be a great one to give a try. During summer they have a dj in the outside seating area. You can also find their wines in Safeway. Approximately $40 a bottle. Totally recommend! And if you are in Napa as a last minute trip the front desk can connect you with other wineries and help you book a tasting.

Yelp
Gorgeous property and incredible wine. Highly recommend stopping by! Loved the food options as well, overall a great stop.
google avatar

Chanel C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this winery - the wine was fantastic. I especially loved the dessert wines. Just a heads up that the cheaper tasting is a tasting standing up inside. It was still a nice experience- but it can get a little overwhelming when many people are doing the tasting at once. You don't quite get that one on one experience because the server is talking to other groups so frequently. So that was a little frustrating at times. The ambiance of the property is so gorgeous.
google avatar

Samir K.

Yelp
Wines are super good and the property is absolutely beautiful, but I am knocking down a star because I felt that there was a really hard sell from the moment we were seated to become members. I understand that that's the goal of a place like this, but we had JUST sat down and we already were getting pushed into joining. Maybe we don't want to? Anyway, the wines were really good and everything else was great. We ended up buying 3 bottles to get our tasting fee back (lol). Also, they don't necessarily have outdoor seating all the time- it is weather dependent, so keep that in mind!
google avatar

Claire S.

Yelp
We did not have reservations here and tried to walk in on New Year's Eve day. They were full, but a staff member in the tasting room was able to accommodate us for a free tasting, which was incredible! We tried a few of the best wines we had throughout our entire trip in Napa! This is also a nice place to buy little souvenirs, cheese boards and wine accessories; I bought an adorable Christmas tree ornament. On a return visit to Napa, I will definitely make reservations to do a seated tasting here!
google avatar

Teresa B.

Yelp
What a perfect way to start a happy Friday and girls trip! The experience at Peju was beyond enjoyable. We were greeted so kindly and started with some delicious bubbly. Then we went upstairs for our tasting. Sasha was so gracious in hosting our tasting. We were all happy with our tasting and the food was so good. The cheese board had all my favorite selections of cheese, nuts and dried fruit. It's a beautiful winery too where me and my friends took many photo opps. This is definitely a winery to add to your list when you come up to Napa. Of course we had to take some wine home too.

Yelp
I love Peju!! I had such a great time and this guy was so hospitable!! I can't remember his name (I'm sorry) but he was great!!! Very helpful - I bought 2 amazing bottles of wine!!

Yelp
Absolutely will not be coming back here again... This is a tough review to write, as this place really is beautiful and supposedly great. I visited the winery last weekend with my girlfriend as we were on our way up to the winery where I am a member for an event. Mind you, my gf has been going to Peju for YEARS (her grandparents have been members since 2010 and her entire family has loved this place). They pretty much only drink Peju wine and have been talking about it forever, so I was excited to come check it out. Although, this visit did NOT go to plan and was a horrible experience. Immediately we were greeted with incredible disrespect as we were simply inquiring about grabbing a glass. Nicholas, the manager was at the front and did not even give us the time of day. In fact, he was super rude and disrespectful - giving extremely homophobic vibes and overall it was extremely uncomfortable. I am never one to claim this type of action... and my gf and I have faced some pretty uncomfy situations but this was on another level of unprofessionalism. The worst part of this was that he said there was no room for us to sit for a glass but literal minutes later he proceeded to let three women in who came in after us. This was incredibly unprofessional and straight up blatant. It was hurtful and obvious that other people in the area noticed this too. I was also asking him if my friend's mom was there (she works there) and asked for her, by name. He said he had no idea who that was and there was no one at the winery of that name. Little to find out later from my friend, that her mom was in fact there and would have loved to have hosted us. This was the worst experience I have had and at such a prestigious establishment as Peju, it was absolutely disappointing. Also, my gf's family has canceled their membership (of TEN plus years) because of this. Bad business on their end for sure. I highly suggest avoiding this place because if they have a manager like Nicholas, then it feels like the establishment overall is not welcoming. If you are part of the LGBT community, don't go here.

Terra S.

Yelp
This place was actually one of my favorites that we went to throughout the week. I have had Peju Cabernet in the past in Las Vegas and knew I loved it so I definitely wanted to check this place out. The driveway on the way in is very unique with the trees on the side kind of curving in and over you, which I thought was really cool and different. Once you get there, the gardens are really pretty but also the inside with the stained glass windows look gorgeous! They were all super nice as we didn't have a reservation but they got us in and got a tasting for us. Our waiter was amazing and did different ones for me versus my other two friends since they like more sweet wines and I like more dry so it was nice they varied it up. We ordered the cheese and cracker plate with it which was great! They do have this five bottle set that I really wanted and I'm still dreaming about. Maybe someday. But I will definitely go back when in Napa to this winery. I loved it!

Yelp
Stopped in near closing without a reservation and they were great. We were squeezed, not physically, in for a tasting of what was left open from the day. Cab Franc mostly, a rose and several French style Cab Francs. All amazingly done. I regret not planning better but am super excited to have found a winery that takes Cab Franc seriously and who it is not just a blending varietal for. With a few tasting areas nothing gets too crowded. The decor is chateau'esk with beautiful stained glass. #goingBack

Yelp
Been a wine club member for almost two decades. I have slowly watched the winery mature along with the Peju family and their beautiful wines.

Peju - where have you been all my life !? I've had Peju bookmarked on Yelp for quite some time now and finally we had the chance to stop by and wow what a wonderful time. Joseph was amazing - he was very informative about the wines we were tasting, but the way he explained everything was fun and kept my attention. My husband and I fell in love with the Province we ended up walking away with two bottles of Province and one bottle of the sparkling Province. It was great and definitely making Peju a stop every time we are in the area.

Yelp
We had such a great experience! Joseph was amazing and made us feel so comfortable during our wine tasting. He was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience an amazing one for our 1-year anniversary! We'll definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Our host Patrick was incredible. Wine was delicious. Chips were great. But Patrick really made the visit special.

Yelp
Since my review, I have not heard from anyone regarding the horrible experience. You would think a winery of this magnitude would have the decency to at least reach out, but I guess they didn't really care what I had to say. Too bad. I really like their wines.

Yelp
Peju is my wife and I's favorite winery in Napa. The staff is friendly and is willing to accommodate some customization in the tastings. Some of the winery's unique blends (Provence and Carnival) are favorites of ours and definitely slot into the addictive "porch sipping" category. The grounds are lovely and the architecture and sycamore trees provide for iconic photo ops. Definitely stop by on your next visit.

Yelp
Peju was our favorite winery/tasting experience - it was a small tasting room and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their wine. Possibly because this was the first wine stop we made of the entire weekend, but I loved how quiet it was and didn't feel commercialized/overrun with tourist. We loved their Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon and ended up ordering a box home. Lamenting and wish I had gotten more from here!

Yelp
2022 review - I really wanted to like this place. The reviews on yelp and other social media were great, so I had high hopes, but unfortunately this place fell flat. When I went, Napa had a limit of 6 per group. I called and asked if there was an off-chance that we could have two groups of four seated in the same area based on availability. I was told that there was no guarantee and that we couldn't be moving between the tables. Totally understood. So, they made two reservations of four for me. Some people in our group weren't participating in the tastings, so I checked to see their policy as their reservation system required you to book everyone who would attend. They told me I just needed to call at least 24 hours in advance and let them know who was participating. No problem. I called on Wednesday to confirm that 6 out of the 8 were going to participate in the wine tastings on Saturday. They reminded us that we weren't guaranteed to get seated near each other as it depends on availability and reaffirmed that we were not to switch tables. I confirmed that I understood this policy. They called on Friday and left a voicemail asking for me to confirm my party of four. They had made no mention of the other group of 4, and my friend didn't receive any confirmation e-mail (as they said we would) for the other 4. I was confused as I confirmed on Wednesday, but went ahead and called them back. I explained my situation since I wasn't aware if I was talking to the same person who helped me book the spots. The person who responded had attitude that I could feel through the phone for no reason--as if they were annoyed for me even explaining how we were two groups of two who had four people each (6 people of which who were wine tasting). The lady cut me off and said "we are VERY aware of your group". Okay? Sorry for trying to explain the situation as to why I was confused they were calling me to confirm again while still not sending a confirmation e-mail to my friend who held the other reservation? When we get to our tasting, half of our group got seated while the other half stood around for another 5-10 minutes. We told them to ask if they could get seated at the next table over that had just left, but they were told no. Despite reserving for OUTDOOR wine tasting, they brought my four other friends indoors. One of my friends who went indoors felt uncomfortable as she was specific with outdoor activities, but we didn't feel like we could switch spots as we wanted to respect their rules. There were plenty of tables outside, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to place my friends insides other than to separate us. What was even more frustrating was that the tables outdoors weren't even 6 feet apart, and they had sat strangers next to us. I would have understood if they kept the spot unused or if the seats were 6 ft away, but how is it safer that we have complete strangers sitting next to us compared to people we came with? We had no trouble sitting in the same area and remaining in our spots for other wineries, so I'm unsure why they went through extra trouble to separate us. Besides that, the experience was definitely sub par. We never got any menus or any direction as to what kind of wine tasting we were going to experience. Someone came to our table, told us the first wine name and left. No description of the wine, the notes we should be tasting, or background story whatsoever. After we finished with the first pour, which was already small compared to other wineries, the person comes back and asks us if we're on (insert wine name here). We tell him that we're unaware of which one we were supposed to be on because we didn't get any menu of some sort. His response? "Oh whoops". We then found out that we would have missed our second pour if this little hiccup wasn't discovered. This service was pretty much consistent throughout the rest of the tasting--the person hardly spent any time describing the wines to us and the pours were minimal. To top it off, the wines weren't great. We usually like to buy at least a bottle of our most favorite wine at tastings but none hit the mark. I saw a few reviews in which people described the wine as similar to grocery stores, and I'd have to agree. I actually ended up giving most of my pours to my other friend as I didn't really enjoy them. For $45, that was hugely disappointing. The grounds are extremely beauty--that was basically the only pro to my experience here. Unless people just wanted to come take pictures here, I would recommend skipping over this place. The experience and the price were just not worth the time and money spent here.
