Downtown mainstay for Hong Kong‑style noodles, potstickers, and comforting soups. Highlighted by Visit Vancouver WA, it’s a low‑key spot locals rely on before events or after a stroll in Uptown.

Google
We were looking for a local place to grab Christmas dinner from a place we hadn’t tried before. We gave this place a try and glad we did. They had a lot of take out meals happening but not a lot of diners (which was great). Our order was taken and served just as quickly. Coke products were great to see. It was a limited menu because of holiday but we didn’t notice. It was family style and probably could have split a meal together (but whats the fun in that lol). Pricing was excellent for what you get portion wise. Service was attentive. Highly recommend checking it out!

Google
We had a stellar experience from start to finish. We were seated promptly with waters and hot tea brought to the table right away. The food was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and every dish exceeded our expectations. The customer service was just as impressive, warm, attentive, and perfectly timed without ever feeling intrusive. It’s clear the staff truly care about creating a welcoming, top-notch dining experience. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit!

Google
This used to be our go to spot for Chinese food since it was close to home, but ever since they started using one container for the entire combination special meals, I just haven't felt the need to go back for more. I don't like my sauces mixed in with my noodles or rice, it throws off the whole taste. I asked if i could get them separated like they used to and they wanted to upcharge like 2$ per container. Food is good for American Chinese food, if you can handle that. Fried rice could have more flavor.

Google
Food was hot and fresh and good quality. Better than a lot of other Chinese restaurants. Restaurant has a lot of history in the area, over 50 years. I was pleasantly surprised! Highly recommended.

Google
Our fave spot to get takeout. Always so quick, fresh, and delicious! The portion sizes are definitely bang for buck! Always have leftovers.

Google
They randomly close for private events and don’t update their hours online. Don’t bother calling in advance because they won’t pick up their phone. Under no circumstances go out of your way to come here. We’d enjoyed their food previously and made that mistake.

Google
Like this local Chinese Restaurant. (Have ordered to go only.) Decent portions, you feel like you get your money's worth. The Pork Lo Mein is good, generous on the pork. Also tried the Princess Chicken, enjoyed the spicy flavor sauce. (Need to remember to get the sauce on the side of getting to go). Also tried the Mongolian Chicken, glad I got some hot oil to go.

Big portions! The Chinese food is delicious! The salt and pepper squid is crispy yet tender on in the inside. The general tso chicken was so crispy!

Yelp
Best potstickers around! Plump filled with beef and made on site. We ask them to put in an order while we're being seated. It's old school Chinese American food. Solid and always tasty. Service is good. We sometimes visit at lunch simply ordering Hot and Sour Soup and the Potstickers. At dinner we often order the Family Style Dinner which comes with soup, assorted appitizers, fried rice and an entree from a limited list for each guest (minimum of two). Other times we order off the menu, I really like the Mu Shu, the Spicy Chicken and Shrimp; items that are not on the Family Meal list. I've never had a bad meal at the Peking Garden. I like the waitress and parking is free for patrons.

Yelp
Great Chinese restaurant. Got a few orders to go. The lady was so nice and gave me a free quart of the egg flour soup. I got the #6 combo. The portions are huge and the food is pretty good. I really liked the orange chicken. I ate on it for two days after I picked it up. There's a reason this place has been in business so long. I will be back next time I want to get my Chinese food fix on.

Rod A.

Yelp
Food ,cleanliness, sevice... all mediocre. Large quantity, meat was all chewy, way too much raw garlic in the chow fun.

Yelp
We came in here hungry and they did not disappoint. We were seated and after ordering the food came out fairly quickly. The service was nice. We had pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and kung pow pork. All of it was every bit of delicious.

Yelp
Very friendly service was greeted promptly. The establishment is dated, but very clean. The food was exactly what I was looking for traditional Chinese food. The servers were attentive

Yelp
This is a decent Chinese restaurant. It has a bunch of options for whatever you're craving. I offered to-go so I can't speak on the inside but the service at pickup was great. It always looks empty inside, but that just means more of y'all need to stop in and give them a try!
google avatar

Yelp
Have searched Vancouver for your good basic Chinese American food for cravings and Christmas food for four years. This totally fit the bill! Bonus points for driving distance from Salmon Creek. 4 stars for food and the extra for clean, tidy and efficient indoor area (we had carryout) but the dining room was full. All the expected flavors were spot on...sweet, salt and pepper, Mild brown. Vegetables were crunchy and chicken was crispy. Ask for extra spice if you like it, because spicy wasn't very. A pleasant surprise.

Yelp
Great customer service from the moment we entered the restaurant , food was good, and there was fast service. Great portions. Good value in these days of hire prices.

Yelp
We had our kids visiting and they wanted Chinese food. We had it delivered and didn't disappoint. The food was excellent. I think it's the best in the area..... And I'm in Camas which isn't that close

Jon W.

Yelp
if you eat there and park In their parking lot, you have to use their weird tracking system or else they said your car will get ticketed. they tried to make me register my car with them in order to use their parking lot while I was inside waiting to be seated. ultra weird and bad form. and the food is mediocre at best, 2/10

Yelp
Fairly good Chinese option within 7 miles of our house near downtown Vancouver on Main. I'm spending all my holiday money on discovering new food sources as a tribute to my laziness. They had our order ready at the time specified on the online order if not earlier. The building is aged outside and in. I guess that's why there were no guests dining that I could see. Oddly, the parking lot was mostly full so either they have a lot of employees that park in the customer lot, or they don't police their lot from being poached by customers of other businesses. I love places like this that hand your dishes to you in a former canned goods box. They include packets of soy sauce and fortune cookies that went right in the trash which is a shame. I'll request none of that next time. They included a quart of egg drop soup which was pretty good considering it's free and they even drew a :) on it. Lol. The fried rice is basic with peas, carrots and egg in with a very light soy seasoning. It's a great complement to any of their dishes including the soup versus a standalone. Orange chicken is the beer battered variety which doesn't stand up to the sauce unless you eat it all in one sitting which we never do. Golden City has a better version, but the overall flavor is good. Snowpea and broccoli chicken use the same white sauce but different vegetables. Good dishes for lightening up your dinner if you order fried stuff. Solid lo mein source. Noodles are wheat ones on the thin side but not vermicelli thin. Greasy to the right degree with a decent amount of sliced white chicken, carrot and cabbage. I enjoyed these and would go back for those. Everything was good, just not the the best batter on the orange chicken and way too much white onion in the chicken veg dishes.

Yelp
Great quality food, big servings and fair prices. My go to when I'm craving Chinese. ( personal plate & small portion of what was delivered )

Belinda L.

Yelp
Lackluster food. Ordered take out and utensils of any kind provided. Prepared quickly, so probably prepared ahead of time and not fresh. The food was all stuffed into 1 bowl, so the egg rolls and crab Rangoon were soggy and covered in the sweet and sour that was on the chicken. I could not eat this food. After a few bites, it gave me a stomach ache. Really wish I had chosen a different restaurant.
google avatar

Adrian V.

Yelp
Got take out for myself. Online menu is a bit confusing. Was expecting to pay $15 for my solo dinner but ended paying $50. Wish the employee could of clarified the order better for me over the phone. Nonetheless the food was good & would go back. Just will be very cautious when ordering my food over the phone.

Yelp
Fantastic food. I'm a bit picky but if you're looking for a phenomenal American-Chinese spot, this is not one to miss. The pickup experience was excellent and the service was kind. I have no notes, this place hits, and I will be back again. They also threw in some soup for free! Thank you! Salt and Pepper Calamari was excellent, perfectly seasoned, crisp, tender, and enhanced with the usual slivered onions, scallions, and peppers. General Tso's Chicken was a nice take on an old classic - I'm not a huge fan of the puffy batter and think the quality of the sauce and good cook on the chicken would be better served by a more scant, crispier batter, but that's editing and not a criticism. We enjoyed every bite, try this place out, you will not be disappointed. Also agree with all, portions are huge for price!

Yelp
This is my fav place for Asian food. The portions are big, the rice is always fresh and my personal fav Orange chicken has a zip and spice.
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
Good serving sizes. Very good customer service. Overal very good experience for classic American-style Chinese take-out.

Yelp
Prices have skyrocketed, but still my go-to for Chinese. Love the schezwan beef and fried rice!

Adriane D.

Yelp
Fantastic great food nice people great location food is always hot. My favorite is the shrimp fried rice. I like alll of their food. I give them 100stars Adriane Day

Yelp
Food was good. Service great Ambiance Very clean restaurant older but cute. I'd go back and recommend you do.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! I was first introduced to it by my brother who lives near the restaurant, I usually go with the special on the board because it has a little of everything on it! The shrimp and the pork is amazing there so is the rice! I love their soup also. So yummy. Always friendly when ever I have been there in the restaurant. Also clean and nice inside as well. I will definitely always go back!
google avatar

Kimmie S.

Yelp
Food was just OK. Nothing I would ever order again from. It just lacked flavor and the shrimp lo mein hardly had any shrimp in it.
google avatar

Doug P.

Yelp
Best Chinese in town. I go here all the time and that are the best. Very good pricing for amount of food

Tina A.

Yelp
I always enjoy eating there. Their food is just great huge portions a little pricey, but in the end worth it.
google avatar

Theresa W.

Yelp
The service were okay! The food came out fast but I do not recommended. Still on the hunt for good Chinese food place in Vancouver!

kelly t.

Yelp
The place is a bit small BUT the interior is AMAZING!! The service is so good. Kungpao chicken had the perfect amount of flavor, Fried wonton was immaculate overall AWESOME!!
google avatar

Jane F.

Yelp
Rediscovered this place during the pandemic. I really love the family dinner - 2 entrees, a fried rice, and app mix AND a soup for less than 40$! the times we've ordered it, there's never been a wait. really love the mongolian beef/chicken, the pork fried rice, and the pork w/green beans. crab rangoons with the app mix are delicious. i like the lo mein, too, but it is a bit oily (par for the course). hot & sour soup could withstand a tad more heat and sour, but that's fixable. can't wait to get more. also when you call the restaurant, you're speaking to someone at the restaurant, not some 3rd party site.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
Hot and sour soup is outstanding. They are very accommodating and make sure we get ours monies worth. We continue to come back. Love this place
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
I've been coming here since the mid-80's. My parents just moved close so we frequently get food here on Sundays as they are fast and delicious. They really are very consistent with the quality. Highly recommend.

Sam M.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in town. If you haven't had the princess shrimp you don't know how to live!

Yelp
It's our holiday tradition....Chinese on Christmas Day! This was our first time trying Peking Garden. We got the crab Rangoon, spring rolls, hot & sour soup, Dragon & Phoenix and sesame chicken. Even with a drive home, the food was piping hot and packaged great. The sesame chicken had very thick breading with a little sauce on the bottom of the dish so it was a little dry/bland. The hot and sour soup had a great flavor and if you love tofu and mushrooms, this one is for you! They only provided one small container of rice for 2 meals, so if you like extra rice, remember to order it! Overall, average Chinese meal.
google avatar

Sarah J.

Yelp
YES YES YES! I have been searching for over a decade for a hot and sour soup that is PERFECT. I have one place in Portland that does it right, but it is not only inconvenient but also having it delivered isn't ideal. My husband and I had a "home date night" this past week and gave Peking Garden a try using Door Dash. Holy moly the hot and sour soup was AMAZING. My husband loved his curry. We also got appetizers which were perfection. The order was packed nice, came with all the sides (dips, utensils), and was a lot of food. We will be ordering again soon from here. I'm so happy to now have a place in Vancouver for hot and sour soup!!!
google avatar

Soja S.

Yelp
It's decent chinese food, price is definitely feeling that covidflation and there's something just missing overall. Maybe there's no msg or something? I'd eat here again because it's downtown but i don't crave this place and it doesn't slap like most chinese in LA
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
Typical Chinese food. Nothing spectacular, but the lunch special is a good deal. Lot of food. I like the Princess Chicken, General Tso's, and the Mongolian Chicken. Good stuff.
google avatar

Tracy T.

Yelp
I got take out for the fam. My 7 year old ordered the House Lo Mein which she liked. She ordered for herself and the lady was so nice to her! She walked away and came back with a Rice Krispy Treat for her to eat while we waited. I ordered wonton soup for the boyfriend. He thought it was pretty good. I ordered Schezean Beef which was pretty tasty. The fried rice was just so so. It was more like white rice with a couple carrots and peas. We also ordered crab wontons which were a lot of crust and not much filling. But the staff was so nice and the food came out super quick. And it was a good amount of food for the money.

Margaret M.

Yelp
Just had a fabulous lunch. Have been traveling and back after an absence. Wow, just wow. Mongolian chicken was excellent. Great service.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
We ordered delivery through Grubhub and it worked out well. We ordered the potstickers, spring rolls, chicken lo mein, fried rice, sesame chicken, general tso chicken and Mongolian beef. All of it was great, although the lo mein could use a bit more flavor. We would eat here again.
google avatar

Jerrel T.

Yelp
Potstickers taste homemade and frankly the best I've had in Vancouver and Seattle. Staff is friendly and efficient serving up a large quantity of food at an affordable price. I'll be coming back and would recommend for all my fast food asian cuisine fans!
google avatar

Paulina O.

Yelp
Ordered through delivery service. We ordered the Meal For 2. It's a lot of food for less than $40 and easily can feed 3 or 4 people. The flavor profile is different than what I am use to. The Hot and Sour soup was peppery and full of tofu, water chestnuts, and other good stuff. The in house made sweet and sour sauce is good. I wish they used it on the Sweet and Sour Pork. The Sweet and Sour Pork is only pork and sauce, no onions, bell peppers, nor pineapple. So, I was disappointed. The pork and breading is good. The pork fried rice was heavy on the soy sauce. Tasted fine, but different. Again, full of ingredients. Lots of pork, egg, and vegetables. General Tao tasted good. It included some broccoli on the side that was tasty. The fried wontons were perfection! Po Po Platter of appetizers included in the Meal For 2 was again generous portions and tasty.

Yelp
The only good AUTHENTIC Chinese food I've found in all my foodie explorations. Please give this super place a chance. I know it's probably super quiet when you walk in, but it's worth the wait and being the only table served at the moment. The food labels with chili's (spicy) isn't particularly spicy, so a special request should probably be made. Very good service and flavorful food, this place is definitely a Sam Approved location. Thank you!

VeRnSquad5611 ..

Yelp
Everything here is always delicious and never disappoints. Also every time I go they give me a soup or entree for free with my meal which tells me they really appreciate the business. They have almond fried chicken which is very hard to find these days. The lemon chicken is also always super delicious and the Szechuan beef might be my favorite. Definitely the best Chinese spot in all of Vancouver since Mar's closed on Mill Plain. This place now takes the top spot imo.
google avatar

German A.

Yelp
This rating is solely based on the delivery experience thru grubhub. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, orange chicke, Peking Thai noodles and lo mein. All the food was hot and delivered on time, and was traceable thru Yelp. All the food was sealed so if it was tampered with, I was able to tell, (I know grubhub has a rep for their drivers taking some of your food) so my name and number was staples to the bag, shut. I appreciate this. Food was awesome, even after a couple days. It lasted a family 4 a good 2 days to eat everything. Nice portions for the price, and the food was very good. Will recommend and order from here, maybe even go in to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Old school American Chinese restaurant. The food is great, and the people who run it are super nice. Can't wait to be able to dine inside again - it's got a great aesthetic if you know you're going to a Chinese restaurant on Main Street in Vancouver.
google avatar

Pete H.

Yelp
The food is always hot and fresh, full of flavor. You get really big plates for a really decent price. They have great lunch specials. It is very clean and the people running it are super nice. Your food comes out fast, so it's good if you're in a rush. I really like this place. I come from Portland whenever I can.
google avatar

Ninian B.

Yelp
Great service, fast service and awesome customer service . We've been going once a week and just love the service we get here. The food is good but be warned, not all is healthy choices. I love that there are selections of soups, such as, hot & spicy soup to curries!.
google avatar

Armando F.

Yelp
I ordered the Hong Kong pan fried noodles and I revived dry noodles with not enough sauce and not hot enough for the noodles to soak up so now I have half crunchy noodles. I called to let them know I didn't receive enough sauce for the noodles to soak up and the kid at the front desk hung up the phone after giving me attitude. Ha. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you like crunchy pan fried noodles. Thank you for reading.

Phillip L.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious. I recommend it highly. The staff was friendly and helpful. They are still only doing carry out. They are very generous with their portions.
