⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience in St. Paul, Peking Garden is the place to be! The atmosphere inside is absolutely incredible — warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated to give you that authentic Chinese ambiance. Whether you're enjoying a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, you'll feel right at home. The staff here is nothing short of superb — courteous, professional, and genuinely attentive to every guest. They make you feel appreciated and valued from the moment you walk in until the last bite of your meal. In a time where many restaurants seem to give less for more, Peking Garden truly delivers. The portions are generous, and the food is authentic, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. You get your money’s worth and then some, with dishes that never disappoint. Plus, they cater private events and have a private party room, making it a perfect spot for family gatherings or celebrations. There's truly something for everyone, making it a fantastic choice for families, couples, or groups of friends. I genuinely wish there was a way to give more than five stars because this place deserves it. If you're in the Twin Cities, Peking Garden is an absolute must-visit! You won't be disappointed!

这个地方真不错👍。 Actually decent Chinese food in Saint Paul. The aesthetic on the inside is great, looks like an old Chinese village. The food is pretty good for westernized Chinese food. I would have liked it to be a little spicier but I know most midwesterners can’t handle that so I get why they are reluctant to go full force Chinese. The Peking duck was good, the 春饼 seemed a little like corn tortillas, but maybe that’s all they could get considering they’re in Minnesota

Food is always good when we go but a little expensive. Dinner for 6 is $199 and then we got an extra dish. After taxes and automatic tip, it was about $277. I think ordering individual dishes would cost less. Staff is always friendly, place is spacious, plenty of parking, usually not busy.

Google
The best Chinese food in the Twin cities imo. Love the atmosphere, very family oriented and there’s parking in the back. Always delicious and a good time with family here. I only got the aftermath photo. This was the 6 entree option, 5 spice beef brisket hot pot, sesame chicken, calamari, and some wine! There were 8 people and there was more than enough leftover! Don’t forget to ask for dessert!

Google
Food was quick, chicken had a good crunch and seasonings, and everything tasted authentic. The only thing that wasn't worth the price was the lobster. It was meh at best.

• Big menu with lots of authentic options • Good for dine-in, takeout, or delivery (within 10 miles) • Reasonable prices for the quality and portion sizes

Google
Visiting from Charlotte where we just lost our #1 Chinese restaurant (dragon court). I've been deprived for too long. Glad we stopped on in. Everything we ordered was delicious! The duck! OMG! With the side duck sauce and buns! That was one of the best duck I've ever had! The fried walleye with meat sauce was banging! The atmosphere was awesome! Service was fantastic with how big and how many customers they had. Overall I'm very impressed and envy an authentic Chinese joint like this. Ps: chicken feets were 🔥

Yelp
Chinese food is part of my soul along with rare spectacular Italian food ( Little Italy NYC 1970's-80's). I have been SO lucky to have grown up in the northern suburbs of NYC Chinatown 1960's. We had the very very best then! So when I still glow (12+ years) about the top quality of cuisine and amazing selection of truly top top exquisite Chinese food here at Peking Garden, it is from deep down in my soul. Their sauces are to die for. My favorite are their pea tips added rarely to select proteins. One is crab and pea tips... mmmm. When you move and live in a town with lousy terrible Chinese food, depression and longing set in. Only THEN... do you realize what you had at Peking Garden!! Enjoy!

Yelp
I ordered the salt and pepper smelt fish, the congee with pork and century egg, and the Ong choy (Chinese water spinach). All dishes were good! The smelt fish was crispy, flavorful, and well balanced with the bell peppers. The congee was tasty too, and could've used a little more ginger. Lastly, the Ong choy was garlicky and crunchy. It was more on the salty side though. I used yelp pictures to order over the phone because I didn't see the vegetable dishes (stir fried pea tip vegetables and Chinese water spinach) on the website menu. If they update their website menu, then that would be helpful to customers who want to order online. Overall though, the food is good and I'd order from here again! If you want something you don't see on the menu, I recommend calling and asking.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants! I didn't get a good picture of all the food I got but I like the new layout of the place. Very spacious and the interior design looks great! Parking is also available. My favorite dish to get is the golden glazed smelt with pepper. It's so good I crave this all the time!! Other dishes I got was seafood stir fry noodles, Peking duck, veggies and this fried fish. The fried fish is the only thing I wouldn't get again. There was too much batter so, I didn't taste any fish. Other than that, everything else was really good! The workers are nice and friendly. They didn't check up on us as much. But overall if you are wanting to try authentic Chinese food, Peking is a great place to go.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in St Paul and anywhere in the twin cities for that matter. This place is amazing it for parties, date night, lunch meetings or take out. I always have a hard time deciding when I come here I have my core favorites and sometimes they will even make something for you that's off the menu (Like the spare ribs in there bean sauce so amazing) tonight I got my faves the triple crown which is deliciously perfectly steamed vegetables broccoli, pea pods carrots, corn simmered in this amazing sauce and of course the triple threat... Jumbo shrimp, chicken and beef. That comes with a side of steamed rice however I always opt out for beside of their house fried rice (there's a little bit of an extra charge but it's totally worth it) And I paired that with one of my favorite appetizers of the crispy spring rolls. The prices are so reasonable the portions are plentiful and the service is always friendly and accommodating. This is definitely one of my go-to's and if you haven't been I would highly recommend!!

Yelp
One of the best Asian restaurants you will find in St. Paul. You won't be disappointed. The food portions are big enough to share with the family and they even have family style options. The place is beautiful inside and very large so it can hold a big party. The staff are friendly and the food is quick. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I fell in love with the beef chow mein. It was really good. Everything we got was good. The house fried rice to the walnut shrimp. It is worth eating here with a big family. The service was good, we got refill of water all the time. And the ambiance was night and not too loud, it was getting late and not many people there. The beef short rib was delicious and it wasnt salty or too sweet. Very mix of savory and sweet. I dont remember the pork dish, but that one was very delicious, although it was sweet, you can switch to the fried rice. The chinese broccoli was really good. Definitely hit the spot when youre eating too much meat. The tofu dish was good, but if after eating it a couple of times, i didnt like it as much. Still a very delicious and yummy meal over all this location! The walnut shrimp, the shrimp is so big, it is a must get.

Yelp
Stopped by here for dinner in a big group. This is the new location which I hadn't been to. They use to be in the Midway Shopping center and are now located off of Dale St. and University Avenue. The new location is bigger and updated with new decor and a clean and open environment. We had reservations so were seated right away, and got our waters and asked for the drinks. The service was good and they were attentive other than the fact that the servers that were bringing food couldn't take extra orders for food and we had to wait for our server for the food. T?he cream cheese wontons, the fried rice, the crispy fired fish and the lo mein were all very good. So was the beef and chicken dishes we ordered. All in all a good dining experience with the food quality on par with other restaurants of this category. If you are in the neighborhood and want some decent Chinese food, I would give this a try. I wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant! The ambiance is relaxing and the service is fantastic. We never felt like we were waiting. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend the egg rolls, fried wontons, and the sesame chicken. The egg rolls and wontons have so much flavor and are just enough to fill you up as an appetizer. The sesame chicken was not too spicy and absolutely delicious! I would recommend Peking Garden to anyone, and will definitely come back again!

Yelp
My quest to find good Chinese food on the east side of town brought me to Peking Garden. Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken(extra spicy) and Young Chow Fried Rice for takeout. Both items were really solidly done, tasted good and the portions were very respectable for the price. Kung Pao had filler and the chicken could have been of better quality but they nailed the spice and flavor. The fried rice was perfectly done and wonderful. This is the kind of place I had hoped to be able to find closer to home in Woodbury. Solid, tasty, reasonably priced Chinese food I'd be happy to get any day of the week when that hankering kicks in.

Yelp
That steamed fish ginger and scallions. What? I got the Walleye Steamed fish with scallions and ginger. This was the highlight of the meals for me! I came here twice and got this fish twice. It was a decent size that can be big enough for 4-5 people. The scallions and ginger were tasty and the fish as well. For this restaurant, you can choose between fried or steam and then the various flavors. There are about 3 types of fishes. I also got the hollow vegetables, this was more on the salty side.. but i still enjoyed it. I also got a lo mien, it was ok. environment This is off university, there are quite a bit of parking in the back and the inside is very big. There are a lot go booth types of seating and many big tables for large parties. Niceness of the staff... Ha... I like chinese restaurants where any of the servers can serve you, it was very quick. I was able to flag someone down and get what I needed. Dollar It was decent. The fish is priced at market price and that day it was $42, the other dishes were 15-20 Yes? I would! As much as I love the steamed fish, I would like to try the fried version

Yelp
The best Chinese food in the twin cities and they are ALWAYS consistent. This place is HUGE, so parking is a bit tricky but despite how busy they are the service is always good and consistent. My family and I have been coming here for our a decade and really love the food here! My only complaint is I wish every table had a lazy Susan and not just the big 10 seater tables, but I'm able to look past this part for sure. I am not sure what my family orders but for sure the Peking duck, black bean sauce clams, garlic pea tips, Seafood Pan fried noodles, and the honey walnut shrimp. you really can't go wrong with anything you order.

Ciara L.

Yelp
Ordered a medium tray of wet chow mien at 11am but got a large instead. Paid 145 and once we got home it (10 min drive) it smelled spoiled. Didnt know if it was just part of ththe dish since it was my first time ordering. Later brought it to the gathering I had and over 5 of us got a stomache ache or got sick from this dish the very next day. So disappointing and disgusting. We ate this Sat night and we are still suffering.

Yelp
Great food. Good service. Clean restaurant. I really enjoyed my dining experience at this restaurant. I love the variety of dishes that they offer. The menu is huge. This restaurant is also great for getting together to celebrate life events/milestones or if you're looking for a restaurant that offers more space for larger family dining.

Yelp
So many options and everything we got was good! We will have to come back to try more items. Seafood Tofu Soup: Tasty, felt wholesome, excellent starter for our meal. Scallop and Clam in Black Bean Sauce: I liked the scallops. The clams tasted a bit fishy, but still good. Squid and Chinese Broccoli: The Chinese broccoli was a great balance for the other dishes. Double Cooked Pork: Good! Subgum Tofu Hot Pot: We expected it would have just tofu and other veggies, but it actually had lots of good (non-veggie) things (e.g., pork, mushroom, intestines, etc.).

Yelp
This is always a solid spot for large groups! The space is huge and can accommodate multiple big groups - which can sometimes be hard to find. It is always bustling on the weekends so either make a reservation or you'll probably be waiting a long time. The hostess was very nice and made it feel welcoming. Our server was also attentive and quick! The food definitely took awhile to come out as it was super busy. We did the meal set for 6, which was plenty of food! This included a large bowl of rice, seafood tofu soup, a fresh lobster stir fried with ginger and scallion in a light sauce, half of a roast duck, salt and pepper squid, pork chop in peking sauce, a steamed or fried fish, (in our case we got the fried fish, which ended up being a massive walleye), and a stir fried vegetable. Dessert is also included which was a warm red bean tapioca dessert. We also added a few apps and the house sizzling hot platter. For the value, the food was delicious and was able to feed a large group. Note about parking - it gets super packed on the weekend so if you can't find a spot in the lot behind Peking, you can park behind the parking lot along Aurora Ave. Avoid parking behind the yellow building next door as you may get towed!

Yelp
3 words: Bring Ya Ass. This is hands down the best, most authentic Cantonese and Seafood restaurant in the Twin Cities. They serve things up family style, so bring friends and make sure to try the Peking Duck, Lobster, Beef Chow Fun, and Honey Walnut Shrimp.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down one of the best spots for a family style dinner. Now that they've moved locations, their current spot is nice and spacious inside. Personally, I love that this location has the private back room area that you can reserve for a small gathering. I've used the back room for a birthday and baptism before and appreciated how easy everything was to organize. Parking can be tough - depending upon what time you arrive. Dinners and weekends in particular can get busy, so plan accordingly. Service is decent - food comes out fast. Servers are usually attentive despite being as busy as they usually are. Food is great - I love that the variety that they offer. Every dish that we've ordered has been delish. Peep the pictures for a sense of all the goodness they offer.

Yelp
Extensive menu with many options to fill an authentic or Americanized palette. Most food dishes are delicious, fresh and tasty. We try something new everyone we come here. This time it was the eggplant in bean curd sauce. The service is typically slow...to get your taken and even slower to get your bill. One of the most painful parts of the process of eating here. Ambience, well...it's in Frogtown so dry your expectations accordingly. It does, however, have a cool koi pond with a bridge in the entry way that is kinda cool. Overall, one of my favorites for the vast menu of options and generally really good food.

Yelp
Best fried Chinese wings in Gastonia. This place has been here for YEARS. I've never had bad service either.

Yelp
We have been to Peking Garden way back when they were in a standalone building on the corner of Huron and University, back when they served dim sum in carts on the weekends. That location was casualty to city progress and road work and then they moved by Allianz Field. Yet again they were forced to move due to the pandemic and the post-George Floyd riot damage. Finally they leased the Mai Village property after the property changed hands a few times. Peking Garden has historically been a 3rd/4th pick for our Chinese family. They do serve authentic Cantonese food, albeit not up to par with other places in the past. Their service used to be absolutely atrocious. You could never get anyone's attention to fill your tea pot or rice pot. Fast forward to today. Peking Garden is now in the old Mai Village space, which is arguably the best Asian restaurant ambience in the entire city that features a complete antique hand carved roof structure and murals, a pagoda, and an indoor koi pond with a BRIDGE! It is finished out with Chinese vases and wall art. I was super sad though through all these transitions of the space the antique chairs and tables are all gone. I think they went to Tea House on University? Read about the redemption of this important Frogtown space by the Hmong American Partnership and the community in this article: https://www.tcdailyplanet.net/mai-village-saved-hmong-american-partnership/ So much for history. The current restaurant is a bit of a renaissance. Gone is the propensity to make a part of the dining room their storage facility like back in Dinkytown. Gone are the unattentive waitstaff from Midway. And most importantly, gone is the mediocre food. It is now substantially upgraded to the standards of a proper Cantonese Banquet establishment like Mandarin Kitchen in Bloomington. One huge bonus is that for dinner they served EVERY Table dessert! You don't even need to order seafood! (BTW they still have live lobster tanks, which they've had since day one.) We ordered the Five Spice Brisket hot pot and the Fried Garlic Shrimp. They were incredible and rave worthy. So congratulations Peking Garden! Through such a long journey I am proud to recommend this place as one of the mainstay Cantonese Restaurants in the Twin Cities.

Yelp
Peking Garden does not serving northern Chinese food, they are more specialize in southern chines cuisine. The menu is pretty large so it can be overwhelming at the beginning. We ordered soft shell crabs and it's very good!big portion and can fill up very quickly.taking off one star because the service speed is a little slow. The restaurant is giant so it's understandable. The servers will just leave you alone to let you eat which is very nice. Down side is my water was never filled. Overall great experience. Would come back again

Yelp
I took my parents here to celebrate my father's birthday on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy for a 2pm dining. Parking is crowded. When I arrived, I noticed my parents sitting at the front. "OK, we are ready." My mom said to one of the staff members. It appears they do not seat the party until everyone arrives. Once seated, the staff tend to us with water and tea. The dine-in menu was extensive! We ordered the dinner for 4. We made one alteration to it - we did not want crab or lobster, which was allowed. The waitress told us we would be credited a certain about of dollars, which we used to get the seafood pan-fried noodles. The food was delicious. The only reason I rate it a 4 out of 5 stars is because the waitress checked on us one time. The food did come out all at once. Overall, I would come here again. The food was delicious! The environment was good. Guests talking among themselves and a child trying to say hi to my mom by reaching over the booth, but what can ya do? ‍

Yelp
Excellent food. Service is friendly and efficient. And the new location is an excellent use of the old Mai Village space. Highly endorse.

Yelp
I've been here three times since they opened in their new spot. They never fail to hit the spot. My review will be my most recent visit and I will review the dishes ordered. Seafood Tofu Soup: A family favorite to start the meal with a warm, seafood flavor soup. Dices of soft tofu melts into your mouth with each bite. Shrimps, eggs, and peas are in the dish. Chicken Chow Fun: Usually a family favorite with the pan fried fun noodle and a choice of meat. This time we chose chicken. Stir Fry Pea Tips: This meal is never complete without a vegetable dish and you can't go wrong with this dish. Pea tips stirred fry with a hint of garlic. Seafood War Bar: This would be the most disappointing dish of the night for what I got compared to what I was expecting. For its price, you get two tips of the lobster tails with lobster meat enough for only a bite. If you are not a fan of water chestnut, this comes with it. Overall, the dish tasted good; however, not worth the price. Staff members were friendly and refilled rice bowls.

Yelp
Food came out freshly cooked and was quick. The service was good and server helped to explain a few dishes and gave recommendations.

Yelp
Looks like I forgot to write a review about this restaurant from the last time I ordered from here via Uber Eats... so here we go. I think this restaurant is one of the best in the Twin Cities. Every time I have ordered food from here, it has always been of high quality (although somewhat greasy at times). The service is quick and friendly, and the interior is quite nice. Some of my favourites include the house fried rice, beef with American broccoli, and the roast duck. But honestly, I feel like anything you get from here is good no matter what. One star taken off due to prices being a bit higher than necessary in my opinion, and the overall area this restaurant is in. It gives off unsafe vibes. Otherwise, I'd come back here again, even though I no longer live in the Twin Cities.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful. Great food. Lots of food. Fast service. Always busy and very nice. Egg drop soup. So delicious but so are their main entrees,

Yelp
Always good Chinese food. Quick service even when they are super busy. It's our go-to for a small or large family meal.

Yelp
Have been eating at this place since the 90s. They have moved a few times but kept the food consistency. The servers are efficient to get you food quickly. The ambiance is much nicer than it used to be and it wasn't bad before just more typical family restaurant then and now has nice decoration to class up the place.
google avatar

Cindy T.

Yelp
This place is absolutely phenomenal!! I love going to this restaurant and it will forever be my number one Asian restaurant. Some staples I get every time I go is the salt and pepper and they stir fry pea tip. The fried squid has a nice crisp around it and when u bite into it there's a nice chewy piece of squid inside. With the pea tip, the garlic really brings out the flavor of the vegetable. These two dishes are wonderful! The restaurant always seems to be busy but the staff are very friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
If you are looking for a place to feast on some classic Chinese dishes - you truly should not look much further than Peking Garden in St. Paul! I had not been here since before the pandemic and hadn't realized they had moved but it still has all of the same great dishes and feels just as spacious! My family orders about 4-5 dishes to share family style but my ultimate favorite is the Peking duck with extra steam buns. The duck is cooked to absolute perfection with a crispy crunch and melt in your mouth texture. Paired with a fluffy steam bun, some veggies and hoisin sauce, I would be perfectly content with just that!! Service from the wait staff can be very hit or miss; things like refilling waters, getting your check, or simply asking for additional silverware can be a challenging task. It is generally quite busy and the staff are tending to multiple tables so it is completely reasonable but can be really tricky flagging someone down. There is also a private seating area that I imagine is for hosting large parties or receptions even with accordion doors that can separate the two dining areas.

Yelp
my family and i stopped by peking garden for a late dinner (10:30pm). we were seated very quickly and were greeted with smiles. they are family owned and all staff are very friendly. we ordered a lobster meal (for 4 people) and it was about $100. there were other dishes that came with it (soup, vegetables, duck etc). so i think it was pretty worth it! we absolutely love their gai lan (chinese broccoli). the restaurant is quite big with many tables, and there's a nice waiting area with a fish pond by the entrance. parking is convenient during late hours, but may be difficult during peak lunch and dinner times. overall rating: 10/10

Yelp
It is not often you can find a beautiful Asian restaurant that has a sizeable menu AND enough space to host a large Asian gatherings(weddings, family events) ... This is place to be of you want authentic South/South East Asian cuisine that is worthy to be served to your parents. I don't use these words likely... I really love this restaurant. Yes, it passed the following 'basic' Asian tests for me: * 90% of the patrons are ASIAN(if you are offended, well, you can check my name). * There are a lot elderly dressed well for the occasion - which means this is a special gathering for them... Hence the person(usually the child of the elderly parent) organizing this event can't screw this up... Trust me being the oldest child - you can trust this place. * No stupid labels on the menu indicating that there is no MSG... Again, if you are offended - look at my first reaction on rule #1 above... Here is a 'small' list of my favorite dishes here: * Roast Duck with steam buns. The duck is not only perfect seasoning, skin's are crispy, and BONELESS. It gets better - the slice pieces are in place like it was cut where it was... Beautiful dish - worthy to bring it to any holiday gathering. * ALL Steam Oyster dishes - my favorite is in Ginger Sauce. * (when they are in season or have it) Medium Clams in black bean sauce. Both of my parents love this restaurant. I will pick this place 10/10 when it involves my parents. In summary, I can't give a higher review.

Yelp
Was in town for a concert and my cousin told me of this place I just had to try. I'm like you can't impress me with Chinese food, especially in the Midwest. Boy was I wrong. This place is probably the best tasting Chinese spot from It's location to New York and San Fran. I kid you not. Tops anything from where I'm from (Michigan) and my usual Chicago haunts are getting a run for their money. It may be premature of me, as a second visit will confirm but I do wholly agree. It's good. Sauces are on point. Textures. Damn they gave us Hmong pepper dipping sauces. Go here, order a family meal deal and enjoy!

Yelp
Yippee!!!! Finally a place that can become my new go to!!!! Everything was fantastic! Prompt service! Pipping hot egg rolls and dumplings!! So tasty too. I know it's odd to take a pic of chili oil. Which in my mi d should be a staple everywhere... or maybe I should bring my own... (I digress) so happy to see it proud and on the table! The Szechuan Chicken perfect. With an abundant amount of flavor, and the fried rice had the flavors that brought back memories of the old and long gone "Grand Shanghai" on grand Avenue.

Yelp
My go to hot and sour soup. 5/5 Beef hunan is a good size plate. Nice flavors and not overly salty. 4/5 Coconut shrimp is huge and has a great amount. I'd your a fan of coconut this is for you! 4/5 Service is on point everytime I come here. Hot tea for seating is nice to have. 3/5 Free desert nava drink 3/5. Wasn't the greatest but it's free! Nothing wrong with that!

Yelp
Great visual ambiance. Mostly pack and loud. The food here is in the top 5 Chinese food for Minnesota. Mostly southern style Chinese food. We normally order dinner for 6 or 8. The food is always fantastic. Service is normally super good. My family have been coming here for almost 20 years and they've only messed up our order once or twice during max capacity with new people and so that speaks volume to how good their services are. The pricing has gone up post pandemic and so this isn't an affordable place to eat anymore, but the food and services are worth it. Dinner for 6 people was $250 in 2023. It's not so bad but now their pricing are competing with other types of venue now. I would recommend this place for some great authentic Chinese food.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Completely forgot to take pictures of the food because I was so hungry. The pork congee was homey and yummy. The Peking duck was great, but they did give us the wrong wraps. Overall, delicious!

Yelp
I stopped going here some years ago because I didn't think the food was all that good, but after recent recommendations from several friends, I thought I'd give it a try again for carryout. We ordered an appetizer and four entreés for five people. One of our items was noodles cooked dry with shrimp--this came in two packages: a styrofoam tray of plain noodles and a separate container of very soupy vegetable and shrimp sauce. It tasted good but wasn't the non-saucy treatment I'd been expecting. Sichuan cooked green beans were also very saucy; I didn't think they compared well with those at Hong Kong Noodle, Szechuan in Roseville, and Grand Szechuan. I also ordered roast duck chow fun but when we opened it, it was roast duck fried rice. Tasty, but I'd been craving those chow fun noodles. The final entreé was salt and pepper squid. It was crispy but lacking in flavor. Again, HK Noodle does a better job. The one standout was the fried shrimp ball appetizer, similar to what is often served at dim sum. These were crispy and flavorful, and a generous portion of six balls for about $12. I would go back for these but likely not the other items we ordered.

Yelp
Food was awesome! Love the duck BUT WTF 3.95 for a can of pop? Same price as a refillable soda? But cans are not refillable? I'm really confused... besides that loved everything recommend shrimp balls

Yelp
Overall (4.3 stars composite score): Deliciously solid traditional joint that serves up great portions and back it up with even better service. Food/Drink (80% 1.5 star total): Salt and Pepper pork chops. I loved how they slice the chops thinner, so the surface area is maximized for flavor and crust. Stir fried Ong Choy. Super tender greens with a subtle garlic mince right in there for flavor spike. Service (100% of 1.5 star total): Shout out to Teresa, your ambassador to all things deliciously Chinese. She and her Toisanese relatives own the place. Service was friendly and we felt totally at home here. Value (80% of 1 star total): Oversized portions, although pricing is on the higher side. I'd like to see a smaller portion at a lower price point. That way, you can order more variety instead of facing big plates of food. Atmosphere (80% of 1 star total): Decor is a bit dated, but for a Chinese place, it's still nice. Bathrooms are clean and have been renovated. There's also a dedicated changing room for those of you with infants . They have WiFi that's nice and speedy.

Yelp
DISGUSTING! Very over priced. The calamari was very greasy and all breading. The fried price was steamed rice with a " few" pieces of shrimp in it. This was $36.00!!!!! You will NEVER see me there again!

Yelp
One of the best spots in the Twin Cities, great food, great service. I have had a lot of Chinese food in the Twin Cities, but once I found Peking Garden I've never ordered from anyone else 10/10.

Yelp
Really enjoyed having lunch here today, each dish was fresh and flavorful. We enjoyed the garlic fried lobster, house fried rice, Peking duck, pea tips, and clams with black sauce. No doubt inflation is impacting prices everywhere so be prepared for that. Also wanted to mention the service was excellent!

Yelp
I was in town for a convention and not knowing of any Chinese restaurants , several attendees recommended Peking Garden. So, I called Uber and we're off to Peking Garden. We were anxious compare the taste of Minnesota compared to the taste of California Chinese Restaurants Tonight's dinner consisted of ; Bitter Melon/Sliced Beef = Beef ,very tender and perfectly sauteed with Black Bean Sauce. Shrimp / On Choy = Nice sized Shrimp with the On Choy is a tasty dish Chinese Fried Chicken = unlike Popeye's Fried Chicken or Kentucky Fried Chicken , it has no battered skin. Therefore, you eating a uncoated Chicken. Believe me , it's better than finger licking good. There was not that much taste difference compared to California. In California , we have more preference, whereas Minnesota is primarily Cantonese. 07/30/19

Yelp
If I could give a "0" star review, I would. Husband and I went here for Valentines dinner. Food is good. Ambiance is decent. Service is less than horrible. We waited 10 minutes to be seated while waiters walked by us 1 after another. Nobody cared to notice we were waiting to be seated. As a line formed behind, we were finally acknowledged and seated reluctantly. The waitress was unwelcoming and unfriendly. Two cups of tea were dumped on our table as the waitress flew by like wind. She came back and rushingly took our orders. I asked for sugar and she quickly nodded her head and walked away. Waitress never returned with the sugar. We ordered lobster in addition to our other 3 dishes. When the tab came, they charged us $55 for the lobster and 18% of the total bill for tip! The service was crappy and we were screwed with the unexpected tip! DO NOT GO HERE.

Yelp
4.5 Stars Hands down, this is probably one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Every time I come here for dinner, the food comes out hot and always hits the spot for me. The portions are huge--often leaving us with lots of leftovers. I've never really had a bad experience in terms of the food. I love the salt and pepper seafood, house fried rice, and house chow fun. I never fail to order these three dishes whenever I visit because they are just that good. I've also tried the lobster in garlic sauce (?)--my mom loves this, peking duck with pancakes/wraps (I'm not a fan of duck meat, but I enjoy this dish when my family orders it), salt and pepper wings (yum), walnut honey shrimp (double yum), the seafood soup (which is also another favorite of mine), and so much more. Service-wise, they've definitely improved A LOT compared to the past. My family and I have been coming here since their old location by Allianz field and their service then was terrible. Glad that this is no longer the case at their current location. Overall, the place itself is beautiful. The koi pond and bridge are lovely. I would definitely visit again.
