I went to Peking on my lunch break on a Friday. While the gentleman at the front desk was extremely nice, the quality of the food was poor. The General Tso chicken had an unpleasant soapy after taste and although the rice had vegetables mixed, it was quite bland. I took all of two bites and threw the remainder of the lunch in the trash can. I will not be returning for a second time.

Google
Limited inside seating but the food and service was great. They do a good bit of carry out

Google
My siblings and I really enjoy this place. It's a small, hole-in-the-wall style asian buffet with nothing flashy as far as atmosphere. The food, however, is consistently some of the best I ever experience at buffets. I've probably been here 20+ times in the past 2 years. The lady who owns the place is very kind also. :)

Google
I absolutely love Peking. It is def the best place in town for carry out Chinese food. People can eat in if they choose but for me it's always takeout. Been eating Chinese food from here for years and will continue to do so, and it's even become a family tradition of ours to get Peking every Christmas. Their Crabragoon is the best around and they go with the triangle shape instead of some of the places that do the flower shape, as you get more filling with the triangle shape. If your looking for great customer service here you must first understand it is a family owned restaurant and that they all collectively work non stop while taking and filling out orders so most the time they try to get you in and out as fast as possible. All in all a very good Chinese restaurant.

Google
Was very disappointed. My husband and I decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat after some running around and saw it had good reviews. The food was terrible. Rice had no flavoring and chicken had a weird taste to it. Egg drop soup was slimy and not edible. Probably won’t be eating here again!

Google
This is our favorite restaurant for Chinese food. The service is always friendly and the food good. The cashier that normally waits on us practically has our order memorized. Now that's what I call service. Their online ordering could use some help tho. It was confusing with the rice and so we ended up with rice with the meal and extra rice. Also, there isn't a way to specify no spicy.

Google
Peking Restaurant was recommended by someone. Obviously this place relies mostly on carry-out. They might as well take the 4 dirty tables out. Took my 94 year old friend there and we ate in. No hot tea or any tea for that matter. Told waitress we'd just split a bottle of water. They don't have any drinking glasses so she gave us soup containers to drink out of. She put our food in a to-go bag and literally plopped it in the middle of the table. We pretty much waited on ourselves. Sweet & Sour chicken was just chicken chunks, fried rice and sauce. No onions, green peppers, carrots or pineapple. Cashew Chicken was marginal at best as was the fried rice. Had to go back and ask for soy sauce, duck sauce for my egg roll, and fortune cookies. Felt like we were really putting them out. Not very friendly and need to turn on some heat!!! Won't be going back there again!!!

Google
Usually get orange chicken and white rice. Decent at best but it’s close to home. Tried the pepper steak and onions. Was bland as it could be. Steak looked like boiled meat. Super soft and had no flavor. The green pepper and onion were ok. The rice is decent at best. Probably won’t go back anymore. The food has gotten worse for sure. Don’t know what happened but hope they turn it around.

Yelp
I hate to be so cruel when I review a locally-owned restaurant, especially one that had to deal with many orders on Christmas, but I cannot recommend Peking in Georgetown Square at all. All of our preferred Chinese restaurants were closed on Christmas, so we had to default to Peking which was open on Christmas 2023. We ordered four meals: vegetable lo mein, chicken chow mein, kung pao beef, and chicken and broccoli. Their menu lacks creativity btw. The ONLY edible dish was the vegetable lo mein. My poor sister had to share with us all while we picked at our own dishes. Mine was the worst. The chicken chow mein was basically nasty chicken bits and onions floating in an undesirable broth. The chicken and broccoli also had that disgusting, unreal chicken bits and soggy broccoli. My dad's kung pao beef was slightly better as the peanuts and cubed vegetables were eaten by us, but again, the meat was disgusting and the sauce was just flavorless goop. $45 dollars for only one edible dish and two small cups of white rice? Wow! What a deal..... :(

Yelp
Tried this place a few times now, latest tonight. Food just keeps getting worse. Gloppy Lo Mein; Gen Tso using old, bready dried out chicken with sauce too sweet and very little of it- asked for extra spicy, heard them repeat my request, and there were absolutely no chile or heat whatsoever. Egg rolls were the best it had going for it and they were old and greasy. Save your money and find someplace else.
google avatar

Lukas M.

Yelp
Portion size is great but I'd add a little more flavor the fried rice, other than that I'm a repeat customer. No drive through but I don't mind mine coming in to pickup. Fast and always good food.
google avatar

Jo R.

Yelp
The food was good, kung pao chicken and crab Rangoon. A child took my order with the assistance of another child. Not a place to sit down and eat. Get it to go. I felt awkward waiting. Obviously a family owned restaurant but more a take out type of place.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. Some of the best Chinese food in the city. Their egg rolls are always perfect and the portions are good size. The food seems fresh and the place is clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Best Chinese I've ever had. This is by far my favorite restaurant, ever. The food never disappoints and the price is crazy good for the amount of food you get. If you are looking for carry out Chinese this is the place to go.

Yelp
I used to work right around the corner of the building from this restaurant, and was there when they first opened their doors. I ate there regularly, and the food and the service was excellent back then (circa 2005). Fast forward 14 years. I hadn't been back for many years - I think the last time I got some food here was 2009 - and I was looking for a place with some good Chinese close to home that I could grab a pick-up order from for me and my granddaughter. We walked in to look at the menu, and the red flags started going up. The family that used to run it apparently doesn't anymore. The staff were all standing around with their smartphones out and heads down...it took them a solid minute to even acknowledge me standing there. They did get or order done quickly, and correctly, but that's where the good times stopped rolling. We got our food home and began to nosh, and it was bad. The meat (I got pork and she got chicken) was of the lowest possible quality, full of gristle and fat. The rice was hardly cooked and crunchy. Overall, the flavor was so-so, leaning heavily toward bland. Needless to say, we didn't eat much of it, throwing most of it on the trash. Tldr; avoid this place at all costs, and get better food for the same money elsewhere.

Yelp
Amazing food! Won't eat anywhere else. I lived in the Far East for years and love oriental food. I have ate there for many years , the familiar flavors is why I go back. The staff is amazingly friendly and warm. I HIGHLY recommend there Beef and Broccoli & Pork fried rice.

Karen T.

Yelp
I've ordered from this restaurant before. I have GI issues so I have to make a few extra requests. Tonight I picked up my takeout and got halfway through and found what looked like worms on the bottom of my dish. Never eating there again.

Yelp
This restaurant does not want most peoples business! My husband and myself went in for lunch as we have many times, and as usual the woman at the desk taking orders was not very friendly ( she never is). The last time we saw her smile when talking to another patron, so we thought this time we would give her a pretip in her bucket on the counter, only to be very disappointed. We ordered our food, sat down at a table with our drinks and got our napkins ready to have lunch there. Soon we heard her call out our order and said it was ready, but all was packaged to go. It's very hard to eat soup from their tall plastic containers, and the same for the chow mein & rice. They clearly did not want us to stay there!! So we gathered up our drinks, napkins, plastic ware, and food and went back to work to eat at our desks. We won't go back, even for carry out because this woman is just plain rude and getting worse by the day.

Yelp
Good food. It is a little different that what I am used to, but definitely good. I am not from here so I may not be used to the regional interpretation. Had the empress chicken and it was breaded, not used to that. Hot and sour soup was good, the fried rice had the little cubes of pork and very tastey.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the dumplings and eggrolls. When I worked close to here I would eat eggrolls 3 to 4 times a week for lunch and I never got sick of them. Eventually I ventured out into the menu and discovered that most things on this menu, like the eggrolls, are absolutely delicious. Friendly fast convenient and clean, I love this place.

Yelp
To say that I love Chinese food is an understatement. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and probably still want more. I've been going to Peking for roughly 8 years, and I've never once been disappointed. Peking is an unassuming, no-frills restaurant in a strip mall that serves some of the best Americanized Chinese food that I've ever had at essentially the same price at a value meal at McDonald's. Food is served on styrofoam plates with plastic silverware, there is no decor to speak of, and the few tables that it has fill the tiny space, but it's still my favorite place in Fort Wayne. The food is consistently delicious and ready in no more than 5-15 minutes. Seriously, I think they must have mastery over time because they are that freakishly fast. My personal favorite is their beef and broccoli, and I rarely deviate because I love it so much. My fiance generally gets the garlic chicken or roast pork with broccoli, and when I manage to steal some from his plate, they are pretty exceptional as well. Their fried wontons and fried dumplings are standouts for me personally, and I've heard from the fiance that the crab rangoon is also fantastic Have I had better Chinese food? Yes, but I paid 3-4x the price that I paid at Peking, and it was in the Chicagoland area. As far as I've experienced in the Fort Wayne area, this is as good as it gets.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
Best crab rangoon I've had. Very inexpensive. My mom and I have gotten their food for years. Staff is very quick (not very personable, but they're just quick to get their job done) everything we've tried here has been great!

Jenny S.

Yelp
This place was horrible. I decided to try it for a second time and I will never go back. I ordered the Szechuan beef and I could not even chew it, it was so rubbery. The rice that came with it was not good at all, and the vegetables were super hard. I won't be going back to this place again.

Holly R.

Yelp
I've been to the location in Fort Wayne, In. This time was the worst food I've ever eaten! The chicken fried rice was totally without flavor worse than nursing home food. I had supposedly almond chicken with a "white" sauce, It looked like the water off the rice. No flavor, absolutely nasty then had to back get the Chicken with vegetables with the "brown" sauce. I threw it away. They had said I had to return the food, no compensation for having to drive back to the store just to get more flavorless food. Please Don't Eat There!!!

Sovereign M.

Yelp
This place is absolute garbage. The food is the WORST. Very low quality. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
google avatar

Bob L.

Yelp
I mean, they try, but tend to serve poor quality meats. I keep going back because it's close, but I think I'll spend the extra money at the Thai place in the same shopping center.

Beverly F.

Yelp
I'm vegan and had the vegetable stir fry in garlic sauce. My brother (who is not vegan) had the orange chicken. We ate in the restaurant, which is more geared for to-go, and our food came in plastic to-go boxes, which were really nice. They also gave us plastic forks, which didn't deal with my broccoli very well. The garlic sauce is a little spicy and I like that. What I didn't like was that my dish seemed to have way too much liquid and that the broccoli was in chunks that were too big. The combination of big broccoli chunks and cheap plastic forks was laughable. We paid just under $18 for the two dishes and a bottle of water (caffeinated hot tea was free with the meal). The portions were a good size and white rice also came free with each meal. I'd give my meal a 3 1/2, because of the too much liquid and the large broccoli chunks, but my brother would give his meal a 4 1/2. So I averaged it out to 4 stars.

Yelp
This is actually my favorite place in the world. I wouldn't have thought that that would be the case, since I moved to the Chicago suburban area, but it is. I miss this restaurant, and I wish that it could have moved with me. I seriously can't find any Chinese food in the area that is as good (with the exception of Joy Yee Noodle) that is as cheap and fast. The service is friendly, and the food is generally ready in about 10 minutes. All of their dishes are delicious, and the portions are large. I'm seriously addicted to the beef & broccoli as well as their fried wontons. When I lived in Fort Wayne, this was my go-to place when I was too tired to cook after work. I would just give them a call after work and swing by on my way home. When I go to Fort Wayne next, I'll be getting larges and taking some home with me.
google avatar

Ed K.

Yelp
Food is great & plenty of it. If they had more seating I would give them a 5 star rating.
google avatar

Ang P.

Yelp
Pretty good Chinese take-out. You certainly won't get that warm, fuzzy feeling when picking up your food from the girl at the cash register, as she tends to seem a little crabby and doesn't smile much. But the food is always ready when we get there--it's hot, it's delicious, and it's affordable, and the portions are generous.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
First time food was atrocious. Second time food atrocious. Third time had a few bites and just threw it away. Worst garlic chicken as well as orange chicken. Bland and border line slimy. Despite the convenience, it's not worth it.
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
Not the best Chinese food, but ok. I prefer the Double Dragon downtown, however this place is close to home. My biggest issue is the service. I do not place complicated orders, but they get it wrong evetytime. From now on I'll make the drive dowtown.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Great chinese takeout. One time they forgot part of our order, the next time they gave us our order free.

Spencer G.

Yelp
been going to this chinese restaurant for 15 years. never disappoints. good portions of good food at a great price
google avatar

Olive D.

Yelp
This place is your go-to restaurant for Chinese take-out. The food is always ready in about 10 minutes and it's fairly average when it comes to pricing. The food is great. I have to say it's not impressive but it's delicious. They've been open for years and I have been several times with no issues. Recommended dishes: sesame, Kung pao, crab Rangoon, orange chicken, and any noodles. Great proportions
google avatar

Tisha W.

Yelp
Okay my boss had been going on about how good the food was. Leaving work late one night and I didn't feel like cook. Placed a carryout order. My order was orange chicken and crab rangoon. The orange had no flavor and the crab rangoon was basically cream cheese. I would had better food if I went to Panda Express. Not sure if I would try this place again. I will let you know if I do.

Melissa R.

Yelp
My boyfriend showed me this place some time back and I'm so glad he did. Nice portion sizes for a really great price. I have a sweet palate and the crab rangoons are perfect for it. I love the chicken lo mein as well, and I've never waited more than 5 minutes for the order. My only wish is that the interior was a little bit more friendly but my boyfriend and i do like to sit in and eat sometimes. Love it, and its nice getting a break from the food in the Chinese restaurant i work at sometimes!
google avatar

Al G.

Yelp
The food was good. However the service was extremely bad. I can not remember service being more rude in decades in anywhere we have eaten. The lady taking the order may have been having a bad day, but the nasty looks she would give were painful. Anyone that came in while we were sitting there she gave the look and shortness of answers that you were bothering her. I wish I had a camera at the look she gave one nice couple when they asked for red chili paste to go with the ragoons. I can see why most of their business is carry out. I would have given it one star, except the food was good.
google avatar

Howard M.

Yelp
Six months since my last visit. The woman behind the counter was in a surly, foul mood and the food seemed bland. My General Tzo's chicken was a Lt. Colonel at best.
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
I called in for carryout and the lady took my order. She was very short and hung up the phone before I could even ask how much everything would cost. The crab ragoon was very good and that is why I gave two stars, otherwise the rice was slightly stale and the chicken was very hard and difficult to chew. I did order on a Sunday around 1:00 so maybe a slower time and the reason for the way the food tasted. I was very disappointed by the service as well as the hard chicken. Too bad because close to my home and I love Chinese food.

Amber N.

Yelp
Th fried dumplings are amazing here. The portions here are enough for two plus leftovers. I do prefer to carry out, considering it's unappealing eating in-house.
google avatar

Laine V.

Yelp
My brother introduced this place to me. I've had a lot of Chinese food in my time, but I feel, hands down, that this place is the best I've had. I've never once been disappointed by anything served here.
google avatar

CoLe M.

Yelp
My family's favorite Chinese takeout. Very reliable quality. I wouldn't recommend the orange chicken (not enough meat within the breading) Sometimes the egg drop soup is watered down, but that's the extent of my negative criticism. Love the chicken on a stick. Love their crab Rangoon! Love the size of the shrimps! You can't beat their price for the amount of food.

Kristy W.

Yelp
This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life! It was so gross, when I got it home and took a bite I spit it into a napkin. But it had a weird synthetic taste to it, and also, I took one bite of the shrimp toast and spit that out as well it was the greasiest thing I have ever eaten. We took the food back because it was so disgusting and I only gave us a portion of our money back. There were three meals, none of them eaten, not even halfway, and they would not give back all the money. They are scamming little punks! Their food is cheap and disgusting
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
Decent fast-food type Chinese food. Not awesome. Lots of carrots and celery in my kung po chicken. Not really any peppers. Fried rice is good here though, not too greasy.
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
Pretty good. I wouldn't call it the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. I have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. I think it's a standard run of the mill Chinese take out place.

Elain G.

Yelp
I actually have liked their regular food having gotten it in the past, but tonight I just wanted some Hot & Sour soup. What a disappointment that was. There was no Hot [Spicy] to it, not even a little warmth spicy. That is not what it was like the first few times I ever had hot and sour soup, at many different places.

Kerrie F.

Yelp
My husband likes the general tso's combination plate, but I have yet to find a meal I like here. The noodles are thick and greasy, most of the sauces for the chicken and beef taste the same. The hot and sour soup is sometimes decent. FYI, the prices posted online are typically not accurate- most of the small pint items are at least 5.00 (not 3/4 as it says on some of the menus that can be found online).

Karen C.

Yelp
My family and I will drive to Peking from Woodburn just to get Chinese food from them. I have been going to them ever since they first opened and it was the mother, father and their son and now I am happy to see the family tradition carry on as their son has gotten older. If you complain about the service please consider the fact that their culture is different from ours and it is not because they are rude. I have never seen them be rude of all the times I have been there and it has been from the very beginning and that was a long long time ago. I also love their food, always plenty to eat and always very tasty, I highly recommend their hot and sour soup. YUMMMMMMMY

Alex M.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in Fort Wayne hands down! They give good portion sizes and everything is fairly priced.

Angela P.

Yelp
l think the menu is pretty confusing. Everything is priced separately and can really add up quickly. The crab rangoon is excellent, as is the hot sour soup. Cashew Chicken had lots of cashews, but sauce was flavorless and veggies skimpy. VERY disappointing. The next time I ordered it, I asked to have several veggies added to the order. They were, no charge, and livened up the dish! THEN, I was happy camper. :-)

H. Stacy A.

Yelp
Very good Chinese take out type food. Favorites here are the Lo Mein Noodles and Orange Chicken. The Lo Mein Noodles are very filling which most Chinese places do not leave me feeling full, yet this one does. The dining room is somewhat bland but the food is good, and that is the important thing. Prices are reasonable. If you are hungry be sure to get the dinner portion. They also have good egg rolls.
