The 9 Best Backpack Coolers of 2024, Tested and Reviewed

"The backpack has separate top and bottom compartments for easy organization. The top section can fit 16 cans, and the bottom compartment fits about six cans plus ice. After two hours, the drinks in the lower part remained frigid, while those in the top were less chilled. Despite most of the ice melting, the zippers and material kept all water inside without leakage. The backpack is durable but a bit bulky for storage, with well-padded back and straps for comfort." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Just received my new Pelican Air 1745 case, and now I and you can protect your long equipment inside the world’s toughest and lightest case. 44” long, interior of 8" deep, with built in wheels and its 40% lighter than other polymer cases of this size, the Pelican Air 1745 case keeps you rolling and provides the perfect leg room to protect survey equipment, firearms, camera tripods, drones, RPGs lol and other lengthy equipment you want protected whether you driving down a bumpy road with this in the back of your truck, or loaded on your UTV off-roading to your next spot. With 8” of internal space and available with two layers of standard issued Pick an Pluck foam. This Pelican Air 1745 is Pelican's deepest case, and it provides the option to stack multiple items on both bottom and top layers or just use the top layer to nestle long individual equipment. The Pelican Air 1745 case is also the first Pelican Air case to feature Press and Pull latches, tested for extreme pressure and impact situations. These latches keep the lid shut through rough handling but are easy to open on arrival. The long haul just got easier knowing whatever you are storing will be easy to move, carry, roll, keep the water and dust out, and if you are traveling the different changes in altitude the automatic pressure regulator has your gear covered! Features Automatic Purge Valve - Keeps water and dust out while balancing air pressure Lifetime Guarantee of Excellence Super-light proprietary HPX² Polymer Business card holder Quiet rolling stainless-steel bearing wheels Watertight Thick O-Ring Gasket around the whole case Press and Pull Latches Auto hold when case is opened The most important thing to remember here is a Pelican's cases, whether it be the Protector, Storm, Vault, or the Air, is a high-quality product backed by years of knowhow as a pioneer in this industry. The prices can sometimes seem a bit steep, but remember, Pelican cases are a lifetime investment. They're engineered for life! If you want to protect your rifles worth thousands of dollars, cameras, scopes, NVGs, or anything worth of value, Pelican Air or any other model or size will have you covered!

Pretty disappointed in what used to be a good company. I bought this phone case 6 months ago and have never dropped my phone. The case cracked on the seam of the case which is clearly a manufacturer defect. I get they want proof of purchase but who keeps a fricken receipt for 6 months anymore. I offered to send a copy of my bank statement and they wouldn’t work with me. I’ve had great luck with pelican over the years but this one irritates me and I will no longer support their brand. I will be looking into their competitor products now. Also, their customer service is a joke anymore. Do better before you lose a lot more customers

DONT BUY ONLINE - MAKE SURE YOU SEE IT IN PERSON FIRST. Case is decent, but the original foam was cut about an inch too small and moved around in the case a lot. I called the retailer and they told me I had to take it up with Pelican. Pelican told me I had to take it up with the retailer. After lots of back and forth, sending photos, and getting absolutely nowhere, neither would offer any replacement foam nor a refund. This is obviously a manufacturer issue since the retailer does not cut the foam. Pelican should own up to it and simply send new foam or offer a replacement. Now I'm stuck with a case that's sort of useless unless I spend a bunch of money on new foam.

I lost my 8 Quart Personal Lunch Box Cooler Ice Pack and Pelican customer service was unable and unwilling to replace the ice pack. They only sell the custom ice pack with the cooler. Lazy

Where to start... As a Pelican customer for over 13 years, I'm DONE. Why? Because their warranty department (Bianca) is awful. It seems like they don't even read emails or look at images. I can to tell her the same thing over and over again, and it seemed she just didn't comprehend the situation. No support for a 1650 that destroyed itself in 2018 while on location in Borneo (no replacement parts available and pelican customer support wouldn't ship me anything). Had to rig the assembly to work until I got home. Oops, sorry! Warranty voided please buy a new case at full retail from any of our dealers! Me: Can you give me a part number so I can pay to replace the rear trolly assembly? Bianca: No, sorry. But I sent parts out as a one time courtesy even though they won't work with your style of case. I'll take my business to another case company and make sure I tell everyone I ever meet about pelican standing by their products.

I was working a night shift when I took a small spill and damaged the threads on my Pelican 7000 Series flashlight. I called Pelican and was transferred to the warranty department. I asked the operator if I could go to the facility to claim the warranty for the flashlight since it's essential to my line of work. The answer was yes. Having arrived to the Pelican facility, I was greeted by an awesome customer service representative and explained what happened. Before I knew it, he came back with a new flashlight. I am extremely satisfied with this company. I was afraid that I needed to purchase a new flashlight. Thank you, Pelican, for your courteous and professional staff.

I order through their online store. Be careful and check closely as there are some technical glitches sometimes. I called customer service and Kim to GREAT care of me, making sure my order was not only shipped out that day but she also made sure the shipping was upgraded. She called me again the next day to keep me informed. My cargo case should be here Monday and I am sure it will be a great product. Thank you KIM !!
