First impressions....it was dead during the lunch rush on Fourth of July weekend, that was our first clue. Our group was about 10 people in our mid thirties. We were celebrating a friend's birthday, so we wanted to try this spot for a few drinks to celebrate. We are by no means a rowdy crowd, we were just there to enjoy ourselves. We were immediately left feeling uncomfortable by the owner. I believe her name was Vicki, short blonde hair, accent, and a horrible attitude. She immediately judged us because she assumed we were 20 year olds going to trash her crappy little bar. She started talking about us to one of the locals that walked in. Speaking loudly about how we are all dumb witted, and because we had cell phones, and a few of us were on them. I was on mine to check on my one year old son back home, because your not supposed to text and drive, but thanks for the judgement Vicki. And our whole group there consists of very smart people who work in surgery at hospitals, work in education, and own businesses. So very successful people, who would have spent some money there, and maybe she could have got some matching chairs, repaired the deteriorating interior of the bar, or the leaking air conditioner unit in the bars ceiling. She was talking so badly about our group that we all just finished our beer, and left. We shortly figured out this town does not serve you, or talk to you unless you are a local. I will never go back to Dauphin Island. It is literally the worst place I have ever been. Especially this crap bar!
